MF Day #81: Screeno
And Lasty we have Screeno, a charming looking mixel with a TV box for a head, and a tie to make himself look presentable when making news reports. I feel like had something with him and the other Newzers that the NNGA special didn’t focus on that much. If it were focused on them trying to bring the colorful life back to Mixopolis, rather than some minor background characters that we don’t even know about(or care about), I think the special would’ve turned out better. But hey what can you do.
And that officially wraps up the franchise as a whole. The last yearly set of Mixels was admittedly the weakest of the three. I certainly admire the experimentation it had this time around where they came up with plenty of creative and fun concepts for mixels. It’s just that many of them didn’t have the same whacky and interesting personalities that the first two volumes did so well at. And the fact that they didn’t get to have that much screentime in the show really doesn’t help them to leave the biggest impact on me.
But for all its faults, I still consider this to be a really good batch. And even though the LEGO series has unfortunately discontinued, I am at least glad that the franchise never oversaturated itself and overstayed its welcome.

Camsta
Transgener ADHD energy
The oldest in the family but is somehow the most chaotic
He will do a n y t h i n g to get that perfect shot. Even putting himself in serious danger.
Reads the Nindja's comics in his spare time
He and Aquad are huge Rivals. Can't even call it friendly, it was just hatred at first sight
Myke
Doesn't really give a shit abt Pronouns, mostly gravitates to She/Her when asked
Can control her own volume settings, and usually stays on mute when on the job
The strong one of the family, you don't hold a boom mike all day and don't gain some kind of muscle
Best friends with Gobbol, when they both have free time you can just find them loitering in an alleyway talking about something
Literally the only one in the family who hasn't been seriously injured at some point

Day 17. Photograph (Screeno)

Don't worry, Screeno survived. They couldn't remove the TV but he survived.
Oh yeah! Screeno was conscious the whole time before the ambulance arrived! Isn't that fun :)
Just looking at the piece of paper gave them bad memories.
Why, though? It seemed so innocent. Just a picture of two of the three brothers in front of their new studio in the middle of being constructed, before Screeno’s accident.
Well, directly before the accident was when the photo was taken.
Let’s hop back to that day, shall we?
Camsta was shaking. His younger brother was behind him, clinging on for dear life. They’d both seen what happened. The horror right in front of them.
Screeno was lying limp in front of them, covered in his own blood. On his head, was a hollow TV screen, that had shaved off most of his skin from his face. The hospital had been called, but it may have been too late.
Myke never had as clear eyesight as Camsta, so they couldn’t see why Camsta was so shaky, so terrified.
Under the TV, he could still see his older brother’s skinned face. Bloody, and terrified.
They both knew that he probably wouldn’t make it.
If only the ambulance would arrive sooner.
Myke only kept it because he was proud of the studio. He didn’t remember that it was taken on such an awful day.
He didn't want to remember that it was taken on such an awful day.
