Here are my faves:

Anne Boleyn aka my fave
The life and death of Anne Boleyn by Eric Ives - I regard this as the AB bible it is so comprehensive (to the point where it can be a bit dense to read). But an amazing portrait of Anne as a politician who understood how fashion and taste created an image of power.
Anne Boleyn: 500 years of lives by Hayley Nolan - Really interesting exploration about how different periods of history interpret/demonise Anne.
Catherine Parr
Katherine the Queen by Linda Porter- An amazing book about how educated she was- fully challenges how history remembers her as the wife who was Henry's nursemaid when she was a political creature in her own right.
Renaissance books
Women in the Renaissance by Margaret L. King - A comprehensive look at the roles, expectations, and daily lives of women during the Renaissance.
Renaissance Woman: The Life of Vittoria Colonna by Ramie Targoff - A biography of Vittoria Colonna, a poet and a close friend of Michelangelo.
Lucrezia Borgia: Life, Love and Death in Renaissance Italy by Sarah Bradford.
The Lady of the Renaissance: A Portrait of Isabella d'Este by Julia Cartwright - This book delves into the life of one of the Renaissance's most famous women

No
2. When was the last time you cried?
Today. I watched a TikTok that really got me. But after like 20-ish, I became a pretty easy crier.
3. Do you have kids?
Happily the answer is no
4. What sports do you play/have played?
I think the most accurate answer is none. I technically played soccer as a kid for a very brief season. Sports were not a thing I enjoyed participating in.
5. Do you use sarcasm?
Absolutely
6. What's the first thing you notice about people?
Height? I am not great at looking at people, so the most basic, 'how much larger are they than me?' is generally what I get. Ironically, I am bad at estimating heights.
7. What's your eye color?
Brown
8. Scary movies or happy endings?
Happy endings. I am not a scary movie kind of gal
9. Any talents?
I am good at identifying songs quickly. This is not a useful talent. But it's what I've got.
10. Where were you born?
Tucson, AZ, USA
11. What are your hobbies?
Reading (fanfiction and traditional books), watching movies and TV, napping. I also enjoy sightseeing. Museums, art markets, lighthouses, aquariums. If a town near me has something to see, I want to see it.
12. Do you have any pets?
Not anymore. I have had cats before though.
13. How tall are you?
5'5''. Technically I'm 5'4 3/4'' but that honestly is just a lame thing to say, so I round up.
14. Favorite subject in school?
School was long ago. In high school I liked English and my Latin class. In university I enjoyed my history courses.
15. Dream job?
I am one of those folks that just needs to be good at their job. If I'm good at it, am able to multi-task during it (i.e. also watch something), and get paid enough to be comfortable, that's the dream.

Hi! I just wanted to thank you! Years ago introduced me to Blind Guardian (by making a post where you wrote part of the lyrics of Nightfall in all caps, but that is beside the point), my now favourite band. I'm also really bad at keeping on track with anything, so your post about seeing them live made me realise that they are on tour (and released a new album!). Long story short, I just bought an expensive train ticket to Dresden to see them live there! Thank you so so much for making me aware of this!!

And this message made me smile so hard, thank you!! :)) I'm sure you're going to love the show, the supporting band was great (they're called Scardust and I've never heard about them before but godDAMN the frontwoman has an insane voice and even more insane skills), Blind Guardian have a great energy on stage as expected, Hansi sounds great as ever, and the songs they chose to play were just 10/10 and pretty much everything I could ask for! Hope you enjoy this as much as I did!
