'And as for the passing of the days, it is now only May and high summer is not yet in; and though all things may seem changed, as if an age of the world had gone by, yet to the trees and the grass it is less than a year since you set out.'
'Pippin,' said Frodo, 'didn't you say that Gandalf was less close than of old? He was weary of his labours then, I think. Now he is recovering.'
Always here for hobbits poking fun at Gandalf for being unnecessarily cryptic.

17, 19, 23? :)
17. Space, enchanted forest, magical kingdom, or underwater city?
Last time I answered enchanted forest, but underwater city sounds wonderful too, and I miss swimming...
19. What fictional doctor do you wish was your doctor?
Absolutely incredible timing with this question because I'm watching House MD with my sister right now and I wouldn't want ANY of these people within 10 meters of me, I get why people call this show hatecrimes md (<- person who's enjoying the show)
I wish Scully was my doctor because I love her, unfortunately her field was forensic medicine so. oh well
23. Share a bit of philosophy?
The older I get the more I truly realise how many intricately different ways there are to be a person, and how equally valid they all are; it's something you always hear, but it hits different when you genuinely internalise it. Learning this has been one of my favourite parts of getting older :)
Thank you for asking!!

Questions 16 and 17 for the ask game?
16. They say you can tell a lot about a person from the state of their desk... Do you have a desk? Can you describe it?
My desk is currently a mess full of paper and glitter after I made a birthday card for a dear friend. I do agree it says a lot about me that it's STILL a mess ajajsjsjssjs
17. Space, enchanted forest, magical kingdom, or underwater city?
Oh I have to say enchanted forest. I mean Lorien and Fangorn fragments in LOTR are literally some of my very favourites (Fangorn is not enchanted but it's close enough). In general magical/unusual flora is right up my alley, nothing hits quite as good as some good old force of ancient nature
Thank you so much for asking!!

6. What are you craving?
(I assume this is a food craving question so) I'd kill for cheese tortilla chips rn
22. Strangest thing that has happened to you this week?
I literally met Ian McKellen and Michael Sheen 24 hours apart ajajsjsjss it's the best kind of strange but it IS strange, abstract even

Numbers 10 and 30 for the ask game!
10. Books on your reading list?
I returned from London with two VERY interesting titles - "The Trader, the Owner, the Slave" by James Walvin (a book recommended by a free walking tour guide who was doing a tour about the City of London and talking about all the slavery-related businesses that used to be there in the 18th century), and "Who's Afraid of Gender?" by Judith Butler. And when I'm done with these it's back to the Wheel of Time and by beloved book about the LOTR soundtrack!
(on god I'm gonna read more this year)
30. What is your favourite way to create?
When it comes to self-expression, it's definitely writing fiction! But I do love little artistic projects like birthday cards that let me do something manually as well. Knitting is fun, too, but I haven't done that in ages, honestly (I should get back to that)
Thank you so much for asking!!

Hey! Thought you’d appreciate this as much as I did, but I was in the hospital recently (just some background info for this), and there was an old woman doing registration that night. We got on the subject of Tolkien! She told me how she used to read all the time, and that The Lord of the Rings has always been her favorite. I mentioned the appendices and she got excited to check them out, even though I had said some of it was difficult for me to understand since I’m not a linguist. I mentioned the lotr newsletter and she was thrilled by the whole idea, and she told me that when she got home she’d pick up a book for even just a few minutes because of talking to me. It was a wonderful experience.
Ohhh that sounds so delightful!! The best kind of random interaction :')

Tactician, fighter, generalist, or supportive role?
Talk about a stuffie.
They say you can tell a lot about a person from the state of their desk... Do you have a desk? Can you describe it?
Space, enchanted forest, magical kingdom, or underwater city?
What are some of the meanings of your name? (Or url if you don't want to say.)
What fictional doctor do you wish was your doctor?
Are you a gamer? What was the last game you played?
How do you take your pizza?
Strangest thing that has happened to you this week?
Share a bit of philosophy?
Do you follow the news?
What's on your mind?
What is your dream mode of transportation?
What fascinates you about humanity?
What about life makes you smile?
A dream you wish to make true?
