Oughhh, Takaaki was never seen as good enough by his dad and he tried SO FUCKING HARD to prove he was the best. Better than everyone else. His genius of a father would see that his son was just as smart. Not a genius, but worked for his smarts. Yet he wasn't good enough. His father never turned his way or ever uttered "Good job" when he'd show his grades. How...amazing he was. Yet he still tried. He wanted love. He wanted attention from his terrible father who only looked his way to either beat him or yell at him.

He wanted father to see how good he was. That he was perfect. He was perfect. Why wouldn't he look at him?! Why?! Why wouldn't the smart, amazing Toranosuke Ishimaru FUCKING LOOK AT HIM FOR ONCE?! WHY WON'T HE SAY THAT HE LOVES HIM???

Even with the achievements Takaaki got at school. All the hard work. The good enough deeds he did...

He still wasn't perfect.

But Taka was. Taka...Taka was more perfect than he ever was. His father gave Taka more love than Takaaki himself ever got. He didn't even remember the last time his father looked at him with such a bright smile...

Why...

Why wasn't he ever perfect?

This is one of the few things Takaaki thinks about. One of the many things that he resented about his father. He was jealous of his own son! But he could never hate Taka. He hated Toranosuke. He resented him. After all the pain and sorrow he endured, all the hardwork he did. He still was never good enough.

Because Takaaki wasn't perfect.

But Kiyotaka was. He always would...perfect.

I am still not over the revelation that was Ricky/Bill on Rampage. I am not over Ricky telling Bill he's doing a good job on commentary and that his mom loves him?? Lemme tell ya, folks, I've dated enough momma's boys to know that is the highest compliment one of them can pay you. And Ricky is 100% a momma's boy so if Bill has her blessing, then who cares that they're a thrown together tag team? IT'S TRUE LOVE/LUST, DAMMIT.

I don’t want to speak out of turn here but the specific way in which Rowena was pushed at Gabriel and then Ketch felt really like. Demeaning? In a frankly sexist way. Did anyone else think that because idk it felt like the writers still really could not think of a way to incorporate this brilliant female character (even in all her post-Funeralia glory) into a scene without romantically/sexually involving her with some horrible man who should be WELL below her standards btw. And I mean even before that they’d been pushing her at Lucifer and Chuck, and having her put up with those awful boring rich guys for their money (when.. I mean she definitely already has money). Idk it’s just the way that 1. it’s fairly constant even when we get precious glimpses of her outside the Winchester bubble and 2. it feels like we very much are supposed to laugh or roll our eyes at her for it and 3. it is narratively wholly unnecessary and adds nothing to her actual character. I just think Rowena deserved so much better than bearing the near ceaseless brunt of this trope especially when there is just. SO MUCH to her. So much to her that is literally underexplored.

The fact that we could've gotten some of Taka's backstory (apart from the Ishimaru family being in debt because of the scandal) and learned about his middle school days. But them not doing it because it would've been deemed "dark" is just making me more intrigued. What happened to my boy Taka in his middle school days???? It worries me a bit...
