bradley giving jake the call sign hangman and saying he’ll lead someone to an early grave only for jake to chase after and end up killing to protect him later is actually so poetic in the sense that it displays the development in their relationship from rivals that view each other as liabilities because of their respective flaws/weaknesses to wingmen that have mutual respect for one another and can see that their differences are actually complimentary to them working as a team.

cannot get over how fucking funny top gun maverick is entirely by accident. tries to build tension btw tom cruise and the love interest and it even is going much better than other tom cruise joints in terms of chemistry but THEN. the movie jumps the shark because they have to cram THE most important relationship of the movie’s tension into the same scene as well and it’s so much juicier that it completely undermines the romantic tension in favor of oh my god that’s my dead best friend’s kid and there is SO MUCH BAGGAGE-- and then they try to cut back to whatshername and their walmart version of baggage but it’s too late. it’s too late goose’s kid is there and it’s all we care about now

Finally watched M:I7 & What fun!! The thrill factor doesn't make me feel it's 163 mins in length. The major action scenes with some context scenes in between always work for M:I movies and it worked this time too. Enjoyed it very much. The topic of AI coincided with today's reality so I have to say that the writers nailed the topic this time. But also with the characters, a major causality was needed & they delivered on that. Great to see that seriousness in the story. That Rome car chase, bike fall from cliff & #TomCruise running, that was pure cinema. Also as we are following a 2-part story, the ending feels a bit incomplete and I am excited to see what happens next😍✌️ (in 2025🥲)

Hear me out - there were some clips that was shown on the trailer that are likely part of Mission impossible dead reckoning 2.

Also possible that some of the clips on the trailer just never made the cut for the first film.

It’s in one of these trailers that I found a clip that has this dark, rainy, fight sequence. The women fighting moves distinctively like Ilsa and the ponytail are distinctively Ilsa too.

My Favourite Actor....

I have been asked over the years who my favourite actor is and, until now, I've always struggled to choose one. After watching a recent video about him, it occurred to me that I have enjoyed more of his movies than any other single performer. @tomcruise has starred in some outstanding one-off films as well as some fantastic franchise movies.

Has everything he's made been great? Gods no (the mummy, I'm looking at you here), but overall, he has far more decent films than bad. The films I've chosen the posters for are obviously some of the most well-known (franchise films are for the franchises not single movies) he's made, as well as some of my favourites including TAPS and Legend. His film catalogue is huge and spans over 40 years, at this point.

When Top Gun: Maverick came out, I was hit with a realisation. It felt like the beginning of a long goodbye letter from Tom to his fans, and this, along with the MI Franchise finally coming to an end, makes me feel that he is preparing to retire. I honestly believe that by 2033, at the age of 70, he will say goodbye to making movies. I may be wrong, and I hope I am, but if he does retire, he will hopefully go out on top, and go down in cinema history as a true giant of the silver screen.

Did what I could to line up this photo by André Cornoz of the “Nude Goddess” statue and the old walkway entrance in front of #caesarpalace. Its lost luster, since the photo was taken in 1987. The lineup makes it look as though she has bad leggings on. Wanted to do this lineup before @caesarspalace destroys it. Used in the #film “Rain Man”, where #tomcruise & #dustinhoffman, entered the walkway. And just like the escalator in the movie. It too will be gone. Hopefully the #statues will be preserved. Suggestion to @caesarsentertainment… Revamp the walkway to make more room for pedestrian traffic. But keep the structure. Turn it into a outdoor observation platform with a coffee shop. (Hint, hint @starbucks). Omg, I just had a thought; Sev with a chaotic!vampire daughter\son figure?? (Think Claudia from Interview with a vampire except they're a teen lmao) like, maybe they had abusive parents and ran away and managed to either A. Get changed into a vampire or B. Get attacked THEN change into a vampire

I could ttly see it happening! He's probably one of the last ppl in the group that wants the responsibility of parenting, acts like a total hardass about it at first....And yet, the older kid-teen has him wrapped around their finger in no time. 😌

I just pictured the movie scene with TomCruise where Claudia fake cries to kill a woman who thinks she's an innocent girl and Lestat is smiling like an idiot in the shadows at how proud he is of her; 100% Severen behavior.

They would be a chip off the ol' block. He'd taint that kid into being a mini Severen and while everyone else is groaning in annoyance at that; he's thrilled! Getting them their own badge after killing a cop (And they'd probably want to bc Severen looks cool af what teen wouldn't gravitate towards him and want to be like him especially someone who looks up to him as a masc role model?) Get them their own revolver. Teach them new curse words. Try to get them to be as sadistic with kills as he is bc he clearly is apathetic towards humans after at least 125+ years of being alive so he figures why not have fun and play with your food a bit to keep vampire life interesting? He would protect his kid and teach them to protect themselvesself too. He would actually be an amazing Dad (Murder and stuff aside I guess) and probably a drastic change from wherever they came from. I can just see a teenager blowing something up and Severen grinning and yelling "THAT'S MY FUCKIN KID!!" while everyone is glaring at them bc NOW they just alerted every cop in the tri-state area of an explosion from them 😭☠️

(Can you imagine the FUED that would happen if Homer had a crush on her and tried wooing her especially since he's technically a fucking old man mentally like he tried to do with Sarah? Severen would absolutely lose his shit for good reason. Like, feral and ready to have a shoot out with Homer and probably anyone siding with Homer on that. So here's to hoping she wants nothing to do with Homer and is like "Ew no." when she arrives. Now once she's much older mentally idk that's debatable especially since their both stuck as kids forever but I still think Sev would bristle at the idea of it bc Homer is not good enough for his babygirl or his pride in joy son or kid in general for that matter ☠️☠️☠️)

However, I could see just like Claudia and Homer; his kid being resentful of being stuck as a practical kid forever. If they're 16 and older maybe not but under that? Yeah, the bitterness of being in a 14 yr olds body forever or something like that would eventually take hold. And who knows if that would make them still like Severen or bitter towards him 10+ years from now. It probably depends on if he turned them or not.

And a they/them non binary kid would be treated most likely however they'd want to be treated 🤷🏼‍♀️ I just see Sev as respectful towards ppl he actually gives a shit about.

Honestly, no matter whether it's a daughter/son/affectionately named brat; he'd be a good chaotic Dad towards them ESPECIALLY if they were as unhinged as him. And he is definitely teaching them how to be ruthless regardless. No kid of Severen Van Sickle isn't walking around w/o a weapon or knowing how to get out of sticky situations.
