It's not the fall that kills you, Sherlock...

Ik dacht hier komt Fons zn reichenbachfall momentje maar het mocht niet zo zijn

Y'know I bet with a friend who takes decent photos at hand and enough self-confidence I could pretend the landscape around here is the Reichenbachfalls. It's not the Alps and it's less of a water fall and more of a water running down some stones but you gotta work with what you're given and I'm given a lot of cool rocks and a couple lovely trees to work with.

The next one is unfortunately also one of the saddest story. But for me also one of the most personal. Since I live in Switzerland and keep coming back to Meiringen. Yes, that's the final problem.I'm mixing a few pictures here that I took during my last visit (last year) to the Reichenbach Falls. I hope there will be some photos of the Sherlock Holmes statue and the museum again this year. (unfortunately I can't find them on my Phone anymore)

And I hope to visit the other location where the Granada series was filmed. Namely the Gießenbach Falls

Watson (and Doyle too) were right. The Reichenbachfalls is really scary (and fascinating too)

Ah Justus muss sich zwischen seinen Freunden entscheiden, wie traurig, buhu. Er traut sich nicht mal Bob anzusehen. Ah, wie schlimm. Nun. Schön und gut mit der Dramatik. Aber Peter an dieser Stelle zu wählen ist die logische Wahl. Justus' Aussage, dass Peter ihm einige Mal das Leben gerettet hat, ist zwar richtig, aber das Gleiche hat Bob ja auch schon gemacht. Aber Peter zu wählen in einem Wettkampf, von dem Justus noch nicht weiß, was der sein wird, ist extrem clever. Peter hat ein so breiten Fächer an körperlichen Fähigkeiten, dass es nur Sinn macht ihn zu wählen. Gerade weil Justus eigentlich davon ausgehen muss, dass sich Grey auf geistiger Ebene eher mit ihm streiten will. Nicht zu letzt weil Grey an den Rollstuhl gefesselt ist. Das Grey das ganze umdreht, war ziemlich unvorhersehbar, auch wenn man sich an den Sherlock Holmes Geschichten orientieren könnte, in dem der Kampf am Reichenbachfall keineswegs ein geistiger Wettkampf war sondern ein sehr körperlicher. Dennoch macht es hier am meisten Sinn Peter zu nennen, der sich aus so gut wie jedem Gefängnis oder Fesseln entkommen kann, und dann ungewöhnliche Ausdauer und Schnelligkeit besitzt. Wäre das ganze auf Charme, oder Recherchen ausgelaufen, wäre natürlich Bob eine bessere Wahl gewesen, aber davon war in der Situation ja wirklich nicht auszugehen. Mal abgesehen davon ist Bob derjenige, der Justus' Spezialuhr am Handgelenk trägt, mit der permanent das Gespärch mit Grey an die Polizei weitergeleitet wird. Es wäre von Justus an dieser Stelle wirklich doof wenn er es riskieren würde, dass der Uhr was passiert, weil die nass wird odert so. Von daher würde ich sagen, absolut logische Entscheidung.

Kollegen, es geht los! D3F gone wrong hat jetzt offiziell den (vielleicht nur vorläufigen) Titel "Der Fall Lantos", angelehnt an "Der Reichenbachfall".

May, 4th - The Day Sherlock Holmes Died

Today is not only Star-Wars-Day.

On May, 4th, 1891 the author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was tired about writing detective-stories about our beloved hero. So he let Holmes and Moriarty fall into the Reichenbachfalls.

The early Sherlockians were so outraged, that Doyle later brought him back to life.

So, have a nice day.

And one more miracle, Sherlock.
