Idea that I might incorporate: Raggedstar takes Brokenstar's place in what he does (kit killing, driving out windclan etc.) and he remains a very popular leader in his own clan despite being a piece of crap. He's petty, he's always gotten what he wanted in life through fighting and it WORKS. Aaand Yellowfang does not wanna be his mate anymore because he's a piece of shit. And it hurts him to his core but he's a manchild and cannot deal with it in a good way. He takes Foxheart as his mate to make her jealous. it does not work. He forbids Brokenkit (who's gonna have a different name for a few reasons so he'll be Acornkit here) from visiting her or talking to her, and when Runningkit becomes her apprentice, him too. And she doesn't budge. He keeps undermining, ridiculing, tormenting her every day, and because the clan likes him a lot join in. And Yellowfang really, truly, does not give a shit anymore. she'll be as snappy and rude to them as she wants because she's right there, the senior clan medic, doing her job and keeping them alive after border skirmishes or greencough outbreaks. Raggedstar takes out his frustrations through fights very often. Windclan was a huge one of course, it felt good to have so much new territory, he felt powerful. but Yellowfang immediately pushed back, screaming at him of how much of a FLYBRAIN he just was, they cannot even hunt on the moors so now he has tree-lenghts of tree-lenghts of territory he cannot even use. But other cats backed her up officially for the first time, voicing that the senior medic was right, so he takes drastic measures so that nobody would say this again. Cut to the end of Into The Wild, Yellowfang's still got that fight in her, but she's tired. She cannot stand the swamp anymore, and Nightpelt.... He feels it's his duty to become leader, an old friend of hers, he wants to make it right by her. But quiet, unassuming Acornshell bides his time. That was his father they just threw out. Yes he did bad things, but even he, his own son, suffered them, and he was fine! He forgives Raggedstar in fact! He knows he meant well and he wasn't even that wrong! And he's the one, alongside Runningnose and Blackfoot, to help the new attack on Thunderclan with his father, new violence that thankfully ends badly for the ex-leader, with his death. Acornshell is kept as a prisoner, blinded by Yellowfang, as he spits insults at her, of how heretical she was for having her rightful leader killed. Tigerclaw sees the opportunity to have Bluestar lose even more credibility, and spreads the rumor of Raggedstar being alive, and Yellowfang having to tend to the prisoner all day and night because of the leader's orders. Nightstar is enraged at this- HOW DARE SHE HURT HER AFTER ALL OF HER HELP TO THUNDERCLAN? Tallstar agrees to help them, and the attack is launched.

But when Nightstar sinks his fangs into Acornshell instead of Raggedstar, not recognizing him until he notices the bent tail, it's too late. Bluestar is saved by a little miracle from Tigerclaw's attack, and the traitor is revealed as such in front of three clans. Nightstar is shaken, and willfully gives up his leadership in Shadowclan, not choosing exile only because he knows he's near the end, even if he could now take his nine lives. Tallstar is indebted to Thunderclan, and Shadowclan is now indebted to Thunderclan AND Windclan. Those are some big shoes for Cinderfur to fill- ah she's dead. and now half the camp is poisoned. Runningnose has a solution tho! right, Blackfoot? Dear repented and clearly chosen by Starclan Blackfoot? Right buddyyyyyy??

So Blackfoot, still technically deputy, is in hot waters, now DOUBLY indebted to Thunderclan because of Lynxpetal (check previous posts, it's Cinderpelt but not really) helping them with the plague. so when the newest leader Leopardstar offers an alliance? He didn't even think twice before accepting, she said she had a perfect candidate to help him out free of charge! It's TIGERCLAW again! and now he goes as "Tigerstar"! who died and made him leader?... Nightstar apparently. He's dead dead now.

and Blackfoot is just another pawn, again.

I have a whole AU in my head but I shall only say so much: - cats cannot be named after colors because in their language colors and emotions share words, and they have a LOOOT of them. You wouldn't call your kit Redkit because you wouldn't call them Lovekit or Love-so-strong-it-becomes-ragekit or Love-of-a-dead-personkit depending the shade of red they are. Only exception: names given to leaders, who lose their original name upon their ceremony (like Bluestar, or in their language, Solemnstar), or names of legendary cats which warp overtime (example: Gray Wing!) -Lionpaw becomes a medicine cat after trying to escape the DF's influence and being hurt badly by it, becomes Lionblossom, Hollyleaf becomes Hollyblaze and while she doesn't kill Ashfur, she starts the fire, the reveal is a bit more complicated because at the time is less about parentage and more about the fact she has no powers. -for rarepairs, I have become attached to Ashfur and Snowbird. Ashfur does not pine after Squirrelflight (they are kin) but he is a petty, gossipy, absolutely bratty cat who tries to figure out the parentage of the Three + Spark and Alder in a battle of wits with Leafpool (inspired by the Bonefall Petty Ashfur au) while being in a secret relationship with Snowbird this entire time! Berryheart gets his pettyness while not knowing she's from a half-clan relationship at all. (also half of their kits are given to Scorchfur as a single parent because jeez louise there's too many and Ashfur will already have waaaaay too much kin running around)

ok I have like an idea but. I don't know.

I really really despise the Tribe in the canon. I hate how they tried to make an Indigenous American culture and used every last droplet of stereotype they could. I hate how they could make another cat group and while they did not make them evil, the writers made them incompetent and clearly worse than the Clans. I hate how everytime someone's gotta fix something it's the Tribe asking the Clans for help. I hate most TNP books just for that reason.

.... but it's iconic. It's important for a lot of arcs. I can't just axe it away completely...

BUT I also needed a way to introduce Skyclan that was different from the other books, especially since Firestar cannot go and recreate it for a lot of reasons, and I wanted Sandstorm to go instead, but it needed to be after Squirrel and Leaf were a- born and b- old enough to survive without their mom for months. Also I am anti Lake-Skyclan not because I don't want them there, but because it feels more interesting to have a Clan separate from the others.

So here's the idea: The Skypoints, a group hailing from ancient Skyclan (as ancient as it gets) dealing with the curse of a Rat King. They live in a gorge close enough to a town, and twolegs are common to see because there's a lot of small trails. They use the naming system from the ancient Clans, the rule being that they get named after what color thay are. Roles are chosen at birth, but the only role that is different from Medic or Warrior is Deputy. Yes, Deputies are chosen at birth, you can imagine the main problem from this decision. This sets up a few things: -they need help from someone with Skyclan blood (Feathertail) -the mountain lion is gone, but there's a threat that is just as big because the rats try to overtake the gorge constantly. -their numbers are dwindling after a surge of rats and a bad epidemic happening at the same time. I kinda want to have the Shadowclan journey cat (that is not Tawnypelt) get flashbacks from the Carrion Disease, before realizing these rats do not carry it. -in this moment Squirrelpaw gets the idea: "why don't you ask for help from the kittypets? My dad was one and he's become a hero." -recruiting time, I wanna make it clear that not everybody's sold on living with the Skypoints, either because they're stupidly aggressive towards others (Clear Sky propaganda) or have family and friends back in town. -Dappled Leaves comes out with a compromise (she's Leafstar, but not yet considered a great match for a leader because she's not Clear Sky-esque and also a Warrior) that those who might have families can either bring them with, even if they're not able to fight, or go back after helping during the day. Daylight Warriors babeyyyyy -may or may not begin a small moment of civil unrest, that does not tip into a war just because there's a bigger problem at the moment. -in the end, Feathertail dies to the Rat King while slaying it, but I wanna make it clear she's not the only one to be honored in death. I want something like seven or eight cats to die. Stormfur gets a crush on Cherry Tail, and in the Great Migration will be staying behind... alongside Sandstorm, who's found companionship in Dappled Leaves hehe. Leafpaw gets the idea that Starclan might communicate with them through water by seeing the Starcave, where the Stoneteller, the eldest medic, goes to commute with Starclan. Also here medics are a lot more than the usual, and some of them have families (hint hint) -Sandstorm and Dappled Leaves become, through omens and Starclan's approval, Leaders of the new Skyclan, and are named Risingstar and Shootingstar (read one of my previous posts about the renaming in the #duck! tag). Skyclan becomes the first clan to have two leaders, but also begins to make various pairs of deputies for that reason. This sets up Sharp Claws and Darktail as a deputy pair later on hehe

got a clayrvoiant cat named Man With All The Answers. Also a 30 y.o. elder named Ah Ha, who lived for three moons in the clan and then immediately died. He's now a patron of longevity.

oh god, Squirrel-Flight's-Lights is such a cute idea, what if it was used as a word for a sort of travelling camp, both a safe place to rest, cook and plan ahead? I feel like that's a distortion that could happen in linguistics, and based on what a campfire could be used for. also I'm glad you like her!!! took a shot at Squilf Patron!!! fire is because of Firestar, the salt white paw is there and now it extends to the scar on her flank, freckles and end of her tail, and her bigass squirrel tail has seawater in it because of the Sundrown place (I think all the Sundrown Squad should have a bit of water on them, as a treat lol)

I especially love the glowing eyes there, it reminds me of a jack-o-lantern. It's almost too bad their eyes are too good to keep anything to light their way at night, it would be awesome to carry around a little clay lantern in that shape and call it a Squirrel-Flight's-Light. Pishkafsheek-en-Shayu. Pishee'enshayu.

Maybe that can be their term for a campfire! Especially ironic since the Sundrown Patrol made fun of her for eating raw food the whole time!

So I am working on something Xenofiction related, and I thought of something cool about the religious beliefs...

There is no "right" afterlife, as they all coexist in a nebulous plane, divided by ancestors. Spirits who knew eachother or who were related in life tend to stick together, and if they're revered or remembered they gain powers.

Therefore every afterlife can look different, based on the beliefs of the alive cats who choose who to worship, and the worshipped who shape the plane.

The main group this story follows, the Verdant Clowder, believes strongly in the power of their ancestors, and have a connection to plantlife and a reverence of water, specifically the ocean. Their place of worship in a tidepool inside a cave, where they believe the ocean water in the pools contains messages from "beyond". Their afterlife is a verdant forest, which they think is somewhere underwater, away from the coast, and the water there is able to make any plant grow and live forever, like their spirits.

In all of this, however, there is a caveat: rarely can spirits meddle, or even see, beyond their believers in the mortal plane. It is not only extremely rare, but it shows a surge of power that is rarely, if ever seen. This is because of the religion's power deriving directly from the believers themselves, which means their powers can in turn only affect them.

So for example, when the Verdant Clowder's leader receives a hard-to-interpret prophecy... they never would guess it's about some outsider pup, would they?

ok, I have some suggestions:

Black and White - Brye To me this is the song that is perfect for someone delusional: either everything's going great or it's the worse possible outcome, either you're on top or at the bottom, us versus them, dark versus light etc. Since I don't know exactly how this guy is, but I default to Darkstripe being a wet paper tissue of a man that makes bad decisions and believes in them wholeheartedly because "everyone else is wrong". Buuuut it might not be your idea lol.

Killer - The Hoosiers Self explanatory. very much a villain song, sometimes I even associate it with zombies/regretful vampires having to kill people to eat, but it's not extra violent if not a little scary in it's tone. Tho thinking about it, maybe it's more of a Scourge song? I dunno you decide.

aaand I am out of songs lol. For Dark Forest cats, I'm fond of the idea of Oakstar (from Mapleshade's Vengeance) cuz my guy those were kittens you banished. Also I like Sagewhisker as a Dark Forest cat because the Dark Forest needs more medcats! Like right now!!!

Followers Help Me Pick A Song!!

I need a Song for the Snow Angel AU, for when Darkstripe takes over Shadowclan, becomes Darkstar via Dark Forest lives, and then gets Mega Killed by Scourge. I can't find a song that fits the nature of the plot.

Only stipulation is minimal to no cursing or Gross Stuff, like references to SA or the like.

I will also accept DF cats to give Darkstripe his lives, because Snow Angel AU Starclan is still cryptic and weird but not gonna Do That.

for the three designs, can you do something for Redtail my man Redtail? all I wanna ask is a villain au one, and one of them where he's Whitestorm's brother, the rest is up to you uwu

ok these are so much better than the last ones tho???? what the heck what happened to the quality I think there's gonna be another two at some point (because the series always have six minis, two per package) but if the quality stays the same I think this might become the best set!!

Now I will say, the choice of characters is.... peculiar. I'm surprised Darkstripe was made before Longtail and Spottedleaf, into a mini but I like their designs a lot! as always they prioritize older characters... but what is Frostpaw doing there???? I don't think they ever did an OOTS character, or even a TBC one, but suddenly we get a main character from the current arc??? we don't even have other popular characters like Lionblaze or Hollyleaf, or DOVEWING. sometimes older characters relevant to the current arc would be made into figures, like Ashfur, but this is new. I hope the next two figures are Sunbeam and Nightheart quite honestly, even if it's unlikely. Crowfeather's the only choice I can truly understand, I don't think he's "popular" but he is widely recognizable, and I love the mold they made for him. the thing that baffles me about the molds tho, as much as I love them ... why's the collar flat againts Longtail?? like, Ravenpaw's snake was detached from the body, why not now? is it because it's too thin?
