What is Nova's Dad's name? Also, are there full names for everyone in HFSH?
Officially as I wrote on my refsheet, his name is Jik-Jak. However I'm also a bit dumb and forgetful so sometimes I'll spell it in a multitude of ways like Jikjak, Jik Jak, Jik-jak, etc etc.
Not everyone in Here For Sweethearts has a full name, only specific characters do. I usually don't give my characters full names until I need them to have one LOL.
List of HFSH characters with full names and what those names are:
Jik-Jak McBride
Vanilla "Nova" McBride
Theodore "Theo" Wellington
Mitzi Tetra
Olivine "Ollie" Ridley
Crowven Corvuson
Vasilis Deerlington
Twyla Minerva Sophio
Mary Anta
Reginald "Reggie" Tetra
Jaxter Frost

Has anybody done a Concrete Angel story with abused!Reggie?
I'm literally just realizing that that version of Reggie might find a lot of comfort in Martina McBride (even if he would have missed the bulk of her career).
anywho. just thinking out loud

"Dancing in September" (2000) was a made-for-television drama originally aired on HBO. Reggie Rock Bythewood wrote, directed, and produced the Film, which stars a stellar cast of actors. It is an excellent film with a mindful storyline from multiple characters' perspectives. If you're familiar with Spike Lee's hard-hitting film "Bamboozled," then "Dancing in September" has a similar narrative without the blackface. Bythewood also wrote Lee's film "Get on the Bus," and without coincidence, "Dancing in September" aired the same year "Bamboozled" was released. Fascinating connection.
Director: Reggie Rock Bythewood
Writer: Reggie Rock Bythewood
Starring Nicole Ari Parker, Isaiah Washington, Vicellous Shannon, Malinda Williams, Royale Watkins, Jenifer Lewis, James Avery, Jay Underwood, Marcia Cross, Michael Cavanaugh, Kimberly Russell, Peter Onorati, Rashaan Nall, Chi McBride, Juanita Jennings, Brent Jennings, Mel Jackson, Anna Maria Horsford, LeVar Burton, Tichina Arnold
Storyline
Struggling African-American television writer Tommy Crawford (Nicole Ari Parker) gets her sitcom picked up by the neophyte WPX network through George Washington (Isaiah Washington), an executive hired to develop shows aimed at the black market. But, as the season wears on, Tommy's original high-minded concept slowly devolves into a dumbed-down vehicle for its breakout star, ex-hustler James (Vicellous Reon Shannon), whose struggles threaten to capsize the entire project.

How can a player deal with an unfamiliar decade? There are several possibilities, but I feel most tend to go the Elton John way, i.e. they tentatively check, where they stand. 21 At 33, his debut for the 80's, feels like a transitional album for him, because you have a hunch he seems to have a grasp of what might be the sounds of the future, though he still doesn't plan to leave his 70's behind. Of course, we are listening to the album with a hindsight, so we know the period gave him many hits, yet we shouldn't forget about the misses as well. Thus, 21 At 33's scatter-shot approach somehow predicted his 80's, where he continued to be a prominent musician, he visited the charts then many times, though he also did feel too eager to be modern on a couple of occasions.
