theres a big sappy post brewing in here somewhere about how refreshingly genuine mcc pride feels because of the amount of actually lgbt creators supporting and raising each other up for pride month. idk this year feels so much more about actual pride than last year’s lineup of carefully worded ally posts. something to do with all the cc’s who’ve recently come out and been able to openly celebrate pride month for themselves and the amount of people they’ve inspired by it. i feel like part of me’s still not used to so many of the creators i watch not only being supportive of the community but being lgbt themselves and openly proud of it and something about that authenticity is very comforting compared to other online spaces ive been apart of. makes it easier for me to feel comfortable and happy with my own identity and thats what pride month is all about babyy :)

So, I can't really say that I'm where I want to be, emotionally, just yet. I apparently ignored that whole building mess of ugh for way too long; energy levels are still pretty low and I still kinda feel like I'm trying to chase joy.
But! Muse is high from the new movie. I won't offer any spoilers, and I likely won't do any post-film threads for a little while, but I will tag all spoilers as "multiverse of madness spoiler" just in case. (I'm also finally caught up on Moon Knight, so I feel safe coming back to that and having the dash be spoiler free, in my case.) I think getting back to things may do me some good, anyway. I'm craving some angst, and hurt/comfort, and general domestic shenanigans. Things may still be a bit slow, due to work, but I will start working on drafts. I may also wind up downsizing on threads, just a bit. Clearing out the ones that are leaving me stumped. If there's a particular thread we have that you would like to continue, please let me know!
I also want to thank the new followers for their patience and interest. I see you, even if I haven't reached out yet. I'm not the best at that sort of thing, but my IMs and ask box are always open, regardless.

have to say i am delighted and surprised about the amount of tge fics on AO3, and EVEN MORE SO for the healthy mix of ship/non-ship centered fics, which is sooooo rare to find in fandoms tbh
AND ALSO of the ship fics, everyone seemed to have just went: sure yes polyamory. but not in (only) a horny way, but predominantly a "Maia should be loved and all who love him should do so"
anyways smooches the fic writers of this fandom, I have been leaving comments on fics I've read as thanks ofc <3

Confined spaces, defined by their limited openings for entry and exit, unfavorable natural ventilation, and not designed for continuous employee occupancy, pose unique hazards. These environments can be found across various industries, including construction, mining, and utilities, making comprehensive training essential for a broad spectrum of workers. At Kangaroo Training Institute Pty Ltd, we provide an in-depth exploration of these challenges, preparing our trainees to recognize, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks.
Our program covers the essential components of confined space work, starting with identifying confined spaces and understanding their specific hazards. Trainees learn about atmospheric testing to detect harmful gases and oxygen deficiency, ensuring they can ascertain environmental safety before entry. We delve into the selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), which plays a pivotal role in safeguarding workers from the physical and chemical dangers that confined spaces may harbor.
Beyond individual safety, our training emphasizes the importance of communication and teamwork in confined space operations. Effective coordination and emergency response are crucial, given the potential for rapid situation changes. Our comprehensive curriculum includes practical exercises that simulate real-world scenarios, providing hands-on experience with entry permits, safety procedures, and rescue operations.

Dave Robson explains how new Team Principal Vowles has 'refreshed' atmosphere at Williams
James Vowles only started work as Williams Team Principal in March, but according to the team’s Head of Vehicle Performance, Dave Robson, he has already created a whole “new” and “refreshed” atmosphere at the Grove outfit. After finishing at the bottom of the standings in 2022, Williams made the decision to part ways with Team Principal Jost Capito – along with Technical Director FX Demaison – with Vowles later announced as his replacement. HALF TERM REPORT: Williams – Can they continue their 2023 progress after some encouraging signs? Vowles came from Mercedes where he had been a part of eight world championship victories serving as their Strategy Director. He had also worked in engineering and strategy roles for the 2009 world champions Brawn GP, as well as Honda and BAR. And speaking in Hungary last month, Robson – who has been at Williams since 2015 – was asked about Vowles’ impact on the team since coming onboard. He responded: “James has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge. “And also, I think, a whole new approach which is really starting to spread around the factory. I think that’s probably gone hand in hand with Alex [Albon] maturing and becoming quite calm and consistent, level-headed and James brings something similar. Robson says Volwes has brought a new atmosphere to Williams since joining the team “He obviously also brings clear knowledge of, as we talked about, what Andrew [Shovlin] and his colleagues have got at MGP. And so, it really feels like we've now got a clear plan for the next few years. “That's very much rooted in recent top-level experience, and now we're just going to put that into action. But in the short term, yeah, the whole atmosphere is new, and it's refreshed. READ MORE: Robson highlights areas 'very skilful' Albon has improved upon this season “It's helped by some of the on-track results, but I think that whole thing is a little bit chicken and egg, and James has definitely played his part in that.” Sat next to Robson was Mercedes’ Engineering Director Andrew Shovlin, who up until this season, had worked with Vowles throughout his entire 21-year stint in Formula 1. And he also gave insight into what it was like working with Williams leader. Shovlin (L) also spoke of his 20-year stint working with Vowles (R) “All my good memories from races… I was sat next to James on the pit wall for 20 years or whatever it was,” said Shovlin. "He's left us with a really impressive strategy group. So, Rosie [Wait] is running that now and that's working very well. BEYOND THE GRID: James Vowles on his time as Williams Team Principal, Alex Albon, Lewis Hamilton and much more “But partly because James was trying to put the group in place that could follow him. But his ambitions were always more than just doing the strategy. “But it's great to see him enjoying the role at Williams and having a positive effect there because we knew that he would be a loss to our team. But yeah, nice that he’s enjoying success.” via Formula 1 News https://www.formula1.com

Steve and Eddie meet through their local buy-nothing-sell-nothing group when Steve’s getting ready to move in with Robin and he realizes he can't keep everything he owns while trying to merge households with her.
The first time they meet, Steve hadn't even been meaning to actually meet the person picking up the free toaster oven he’s giving away.
He’s setting his toaster oven outside his house on the porch when Eddie hops out of his van to pick it up and it would be rude to duck back inside without saying anything since he obviously sees him coming up, so they make small talk for a minute and Steve has to keep his eyeballs in check because they keep wanting to rake all the way down this guy’s body.
He’s covered in tattoos and so extremely Steve's type, but he knows better than to hit on someone who lives in his neighborhood and is not here for that reason.
He laments to Robin about it the next day, about the hot guy who’s probably using Steve's toaster oven as they speak, who he’ll probably never see again.
Robin rolls her eyes fondly at him and tells him that maybe if he puts more stuff up for grabs on the facebook group, he might see him again, but Steve suspects she just wants him to get rid of more of his stuff so it doesn't overcrowd their new apartment.
The set of items he puts up in the group next is an old blender and a butcher block that has three of the knives missing—seriously where did those knives go? He has yet to find them.
He tries to pretend he isn't secretly hoping Eddie will comment under his post that he wants the items, but he isn't fooling himself when his heart literally skips a beat when the first comment is from Eddie. He messages him and tells him to stop by later that day.
When Eddie shows up, they talk for longer than last time, Eddie asking why Steve needs to get rid of so much stuff and Steve asking why Eddie needs all this stuff—especially considering Steve snooped through the group and saw that Eddie joined over a year ago and hadn't once commented before now (he doesn't mention that thought, but he is thinking it real hard).
Eddie laughs and says he was in the market for a toaster oven when Steve posted one and wouldn't you know it? He also needs a blender—the knife set is just a bonus, he says.
Steve tries not to read too much into it, but his brain is spinning the interaction around in his head for the next week.
He puts up a space heater in the group and within minutes, Eddie has claimed it.
“I should just get your number and text you directly when I find something I want to get rid of next time,” Steve says flippantly when Eddie comes by to grab it that night. “Instead of clogging up the facebook group.”
Eddie smirks at him and steps a little closer. He says, “Maybe you should.”
His neighbor’s car alarm decides to go off right at that moment, ruining the flirty atmosphere with its incessant shrill. They can barely hear each other over the drone of it, so Eddie leaves without giving Steve his number and Steve is left feeling like he keeps having these missed connection moments with Eddie.
In a fit of desperation to see Eddie again, Steve puts up a bunch of random stuff in the group the next day—a shoe rack that’s missing a piece, a step stool, a cheap side table he got from Ikea—and Eddie is still the first person to comment like he’s been refreshing the page, just waiting for Steve to post.
“I left without giving you my number last time and I didn't want to be creepy and message you unprompted,” Eddie says as they load the side table into his van. “I think I was overthinking things and then got kind of spooked.”
“It doesn't look like anything could spook you,” Steve says.
When they get the side table inside the back of the van, Eddie turns to him and admits, “A very pretty boy could.”
Steve can feel his face getting hot. “You think I’m pretty?” he asks.
Eddie nods. “Why do you think I keep coming here? There's no way a person who’s lived here for as long as I have would need all this stuff.”
“Did you need any of it?” Steve asks in a teasing voice. “Or were you just so blown away by how cute my profile picture is that you just had to meet me?”
“Oh, I needed the toaster oven, but everything after that was just to see you again,” Eddie says before biting his lip.
There’s an entire swarm of butterflies in his stomach when Eddie's hand brushes his, when Steve takes Eddie's hand in his and leads him inside his box-filled house.
Later, when they’re making out on Steve's couch—when Steve really should still be packing since he has to move in less than a week—he pulls back to ask, “Wait, so are you gonna put the rest of the stuff you don't need back up for grabs in the group? I feel like that would start so much neighborhood gossip.”
Eddie grins wide and Steve wants to kiss him again, wants to feel his smile against his mouth.
“Oh, we’ll be the talk of the town, baby,” Eddie says, pulling him back in.

omg could you maybe write something about reader going to one of jacks soccer games and all of the moms are jealous of her bc she’s with hotch
not so friendly competition
omg i absolutely can cw; fem!reader, jealous suburban moms, one tries to make a pass at aaron, established relationship, small angst?, pettiness, aaron being adorable <3 wc; 1.3k
from the moment you arrived - a hand clasped in aaron's, jack excitedly sprinting ahead the two of you - you could feel the target on your back.
the warm, refreshing morning suddenly felt quite stuffy. as if strangely enough, there wasn't enough air to go around. the feeling especially solidified when aaron gave you a sweet, parting kiss - him off to uphold his coaching duties, you off to find a spot on the grass to set up your chair.
you half expected it, the feeling out of place and self consciousness; this was jack's second season playing soccer, aaron's second season coaching, and most of the players had returned from last year. long story short, and entering a relationship with aaron only a few weeks after jack's season had concluded, you were the new face.
not only that, you were missing a common trait amongst the others. you weren't, by definition, jack's mom.
it was a silly, technical notion, and it was quite possible you weren't the only outlier, but you simply wanted to belong there just as much as the others. to feel as if you belonged.
and that's definitely not how you currently felt.
despite your perception - hoping you had falsely and quickly misjudged the atmosphere - you offered the moms a smile and a hello as you got settled. you got maybe one, two responses in return, before they resumed their ongoing conversation without you. any hopefulness that remained, deflated as you sat there silently.
and while you weren't exactly listening to them, you could still make out bits and pieces of their conversation. however, your ears fully perked up at the mention of aaron. which also brought you into the discussion.
"you're with the coach?"
her question wasn't based on genuine interest, a getting-to-know-type basis, a friendly conversation starter. but, it was rather accusatory, as if you'd done something detrimentally wrong.
you nodded, your eyebrows furrowing briefly in confusion. "yes?"
"like... with him?"
oh.
the standoffish environment wasn't due to you being unwelcome, or, at least not in the way you had previously anticipated. it was jealousy, plain jealousy. they must've spent all of last season ogling aaron, and here you were, getting in the way.
again, you nodded in confirmation. a few grimaces were produced amongst several faces, igniting something deep within you, suddenly feeling very protective of aaron and your relationship.
you casually shot back, relentlessly, "why, is that a problem?"
the mom shrugged, pulling her eyes from yours annoyingly, as if you'd done her an injustice.
she didn't stop there though, uttering something under her breath. while you didn't hear what it was exactly - the low tone definitely indicated she had just insulted you in one way or another.
and choosing to remain on the civil side, you held your tongue.
the whispers continued sparingly; as much as it stung, and as much as the red-hot feeling that had settled in your body was uncomfortable, why should you let it affect you? they weren't a threat, they were suburban moms - probably peaked in high school, probably relied off their husband's salary, probably thought they were better than each and every person they came across.
you could be annoyed, but you weren't worried. the bigger picture, you had what they wanted; you had aaron. you've already won, despite any fights they attempted to pick.
"i need to stretch my legs." the same woman abruptly said, loudly to gain your interest.
she promptly rose, walking towards the team's bench. or more specifically, right up to aaron.
she was quick to strike up a conversation with him - overdramatizing her already-shrill laugh, displaying open body language, the sweetest smile she could muster up.
what did you in, a 'friendly' touch to his arm before she retreated, whenever she finished saying whatever the hell was so important she had felt the need to interrupt his coaching for.
and throughout such, aaron appeared as his typical friendly self as he engaged with her, as expected. although a look of confusion did flash across his face when she graced his arm.
your jaw clenched in anger, but you kept reminding yourself: her actions were just to spite you, just to piss you off, and you refused to give her the reaction she seemingly so desperately craved.
so when she returned, with an awfully smug look plastered on her face and dropping into her chair with a sense of pure satisfaction, you kept your focus forward. you came to watch jack's game, and that's exactly what you were going to do.
but during the mid-game break, once aaron had finished talking with the kids and they sprinted back onto the field to practice some goals, did you approach him.
"hi sweetheart," aaron mumbled into your skin as he kissed your temple, one of his hands comfortably finding your back. "enjoying the game?"
you nodded, offering him a timid smile.
"what's wrong?"
"nothing." you lied, tucking yourself into his chest. you took a deep breath and sighed, smelling the traces of light sweat and grass clinging to him.
"you don't think i buy that, do you?" he asked, a gentle, almost comical tone to his words - all to lighten up your present tension. "what is it?"
you shook your head, "i don't want to talk about it..." your eyes shot over to your new best friends, whose eyes were glued to the two of you. "here."
aaron glanced over at them, profiling immediately. "are they giving you a hard time?"
after a moment's hesitation, an annoyed huff escaped you. "let's just say they're not too happy that the coach is taken."
"what?" aaron laughed breathlessly, his face scrunching the smallest amount in confusion. "half of them are married."
"clearly that doesn't matter, they're still over there undressing you with their eyes." you arched an eyebrow, the scowl on your face only deepening.
"c'mon, you're too pretty to make that face." aaron lightly teased, kissing your pout gently. at the touch, your face did relax, the ends of your lips itching to turn upwards into a smile.
"oh they're gonna hate that you did that."
aaron shrugged, kissing you again. "let them."
you surrendered yourself to your smile, but you still frustratedly crossed your arms in front of your chest. "it's ridiculous."
aaron was quick to untangle your hands, holding onto them and applying a gentle squeeze. "you know you don't have competition. you have me."
"i know. that's why i feel so stupid i'm letting it bother me." you gritted through your teeth. "what did that one woman even say to you?"
"truthfully, i couldn't tell you. i wasn't paying attention." he answered honestly, his eyebrows drawing into a line as he even attempted to mentally recall it.
you couldn't help but laugh, pressing yourself more into him. "you're insufferable."
"i try." aaron joked, but his expression switched tactics, to genuine concern as he moved in front of you, "in all seriousness, are you going to be okay?"
"yeah." you brought your hands to his chest, running your thumbs against his pecs affectionately. you already were. "i have you, don't i?"
"and you could always stay here with me." aaron playfully, but earnestly offered. "and be my beautiful, thoughtful, astounding, beautiful assistant coach."
"you drive a hard bargain," your eyebrows rose, feeling his chuckle underneath your fingers. "but it's okay. i'm not gonna let them think they're running the show, or that they can step on me like that." you shook your head. "and as needed, i might have to flaunt you around."
aaron grinned, proudly. "that's my girl."
