The summation of the RNC debates:
Despite #RonnaMcDaniel being a globalist, deep state, Rhino sympathizing #Romney, ALL the debates hinge around #DonaldTrump. They can’t and won’t avoid him. Trump doesn’t have to be there to discuss and win, because they’re doing that for him.
Vivek - not Trump. Funded by Big Pharma but enough of an outsider that he sounds similar to Trump. The only one saying Trump has done the best for America in the last 20-30 years. Why hire Vivek, when you can get the real Trump?
Haley - Deep State, Big Government supporter. Wants every social media handle to have the real name attached, like you’d be doxxed. “You can’t hide behind a handle.” Sounds great when you think of the disagrees. Sounds horrible if the government could shut you down for your beliefs. It’s the Patriot Act on steroids and HGH.
DeSantos - Bush pick. The Bushes have proven their Deep State/New World Order sympathizers. That’s who’s funding this campaign.
Christie - I have absolutely NO idea why Christie is on the stage. He’s a stooge and no where close to anyone else on the stage. He’s a boot licker, and I’m surprised he did any good as a governor.

Color me shocked.
Fox News is hosting the GOP debate in Wisconsin.  During this build up segment, Martha MacCallum introduces the “random Republican voters” in Wisconsin who will watch the debate.  Except, well… there’s a little problem.  MacCallum introduces Chris Lawrence as a “Wisconsin GOP voter” who seemingly supports Ron DeSantis.  However, MacCallum fails to mention that Chris Lawrence actually works for the Koch Network, who have recently pledged to spend $70 million to defeat President Trump.

@RaheemKassam
Hi I looked into “Wisconsin voter” Christopher Lawrence, why didn’t you tell people he’s a paid activist belonging to the open borders network that recently pledged $70M to stop Trump?
‘Globalist’ Koch Network Blows $70M of Donor Cash to ‘Stop Trump’.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From Sundance Treehouse Blog: "The ‘Koch network’ group Americans for Prosperity Action is dropping $70M+ on a bid to stop President Donald J. Trump becoming the 47th President of the United States, according to a new report which suggests the libertarian billionaire backed organization is campaign in the Republican primaries “for the first time in its nearly 20 year history”.
The money is in addition to a $200M+ fund established by corporate backers for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s campaign, and will likely be used for “digital advertising on the issue of electability in the presidential race,” in addition to direct mail. In such scenarios, high percentages of donor cash ends up in the pockets of campaign consultants and vendors.
The Koch network includes groups such as Americans for Prosperity, Stand Together, i360, the American Legislative Exchange Council, the State Policy Network, the CATO Institute, Americans for Tax Reform, the Competitive Enterprise Institute, the Atlas Network, the Heritage Foundation, the Independent Women’s Forum, the Manhattan Institute, the Reason Foundation, the Texas Public Policy Foundation, and many more.
The organization’s LIBRE initiative even campaigns in favor of amnesty for illegal migrants.
The co-option of the Tea Party movement was spearheaded by the Kochs, who turned it from a citizen-led organization into a pro-corporate, libertarian shell, before dumping it when press attention became too inconvenient.
“The globalist Koch Brothers, who have become a total joke in real Republican circles, are against Strong Borders and Powerful Trade,” Trump tweeted in 2018. “I never sought their support because I don’t need their money or bad ideas.”
Not only has Chris Lawrence worked for the Koch Network for the past 9 years, he is also the Senior Field Director for the Koch group Americans for Prosperity.  In essence, Lawrence is a political operative planted in the group by Fox News to support Ron DeSantis and make it appear like he is an innocuous voter.  Fox News and Martha MacCallum should be embarrassed, but they won’t be.
Don’t forget, Ron DeSantis supporters Eric Erickson and Guy Benson sit on the Koch Network AfP Advisory Board (see here).
It’s all one big game of illusion, and Fox News is once again a big part of the Republican fraud.  Proving yet again, that everything in the Ron DeSantis orbit is astroturf, phony, manufactured and made up."

Debate Is Over
Aloha kākou. An exercise in futility is how to describe the GOP debates. The debates are not capturing the attention of the American people. Despite all the hype the Fake News Media uses to play up the RNC debates, the ratings show abysmal returns. It’s mostly a media beauty contest where the debate moderators get their moment on television. No one cares and no one is watching. President Trump is…

You are 70/30 Dems winning the Presidency in 2024!! Explain yourself, why is Nate Silver an idiot ^_^
Alright, this was a gut level response. Starting from 50/50, because I think Biden has a better chance than Trump, I think public sentiment is lagging the improving economy by ~6 mo, I think "Biden is old" is going to get to be less of a thing as he and Trump debate and Trump's own mental faculties start getting called into question (If you think he's actually got a faulty brain watch some actual speeches of his and not just a few gaffes from the Obama Administration Gaffe Machine. The problems with him being old are him having some out of time political positions.) I think a lot of the "voters say Biden's age is a problem" are less solidly-held positions and more responses to it being repeated in the news cycle, and that's a position
I think the Israel/Palestine situation will be less of a drag not because a miracle occurs but just because it lags out of people's minds/his (real and perceived) position shifts as time goes on, and certain major left wing figures push against protest votes (Bernie's already done this). This sucks and I wish the answer was "Biden pulls a solution out of the bag and stops the genocide".
Trump's legal situation is likely to start really being a factor in people's minds, I think a lot of the voting public isn't aren't aware of the seriousness of the charges and they just sorta assume it's all mudslinging. I disagree with the occasionally thrown around view that he can just turn it all into an attack on him; Sure, some of the major base will believe that but I think the median voter is gonna start raising eyebrows. The money issue he's going thru right now isn't going to help matters, especially as he's made paying his legal fees the first payment tranche of donations. Filling the RNC with his own picks does not speak top competent picks.
I know it's a common criticism, but I kinda think Nate Silver's let punditry outweigh data, and from what I've seen his position here doesn't seem as data driven as it was before. Biden was A-Tier since he announced according to Nate's own podcast back in the day, and that's something that's only improved by incumbency; Trump, meanwhile, has the disadvantage of not being able to run like he was in 2016 because people know his actual presidency, mired though it is through the mind of the average voter.

Donald Trump’s newly installed leadership team at the Republican National Committee on Monday began the process of pushing out dozens of officials, according to two people close to the Trump campaign and the RNC.
All told, the expectation is that more than 60 RNC staffers who work across the political, communications and data departments will be let go. Those being asked to resign include five members of the senior staff, though the names were not made public. Additionally, some vendor contracts are expected to be cut.
In a letter to some political and data staff, Sean Cairncross, the RNC’s new chief operating officer, said that the new committee leadership was “in the process of evaluating the organization and staff to ensure the building is aligned” with its vision. “During this process, certain staff are being asked to resign and reapply for a position on the team.”
The overhaul is aimed at cutting, what one of the people described as, “bureaucracy” at the RNC. But the move also underscores the swiftness with which Trump’s operation is moving to take over the Republican Party’s operations after the former president all but clinched the party’s presidential nomination last week.
Trump’s campaign took over operational control of the RNC on Monday. On Friday, former North Carolina GOP Chair Michael Whatley was elected the RNC’s new chair, and Trump daughter-in-law Lara Trump was elected as co-chair. Both had Trump’s endorsement. Additionally, Trump senior campaign adviser Chris LaCivita was named as the RNC’s new chief of staff.
Whatley is replacing Ronna McDaniel, who stepped down last week after serving more than seven years in the post. Trump and McDaniel had been longtime allies, but the former president had soured on the chairperson as of late because he felt that she was not doing enough on “voter integrity”-related issues, and because she hosted Republican primary debates that she refused to participate in.
Trump advisers have described the RNC’s structure as overly bloated and bureaucratic, which they believe has contributed to the party’s cash woes. The RNC had about $8 million at the end of December, only about one-third as much as the Democratic National Committee.
Under the new structure, the Trump campaign is looking to merge its operations with the RNC. Key departments, such as communications, data and fundraising, will effectively be one and the same.
