Puppet Master: The Game is an impressively authentic representation of the movies it’s based on, because it’s complete and total shit.
I’m a fan of Full Moon Studios’ intellectual property, and it’s important I specify intellectual property, because the actual films are some of the worst schlock on Earth. Cheap, poorly shot, boring, littered with filler to pad the runtime. Some of them have so many flashbacks to previous movies that they’re literal clip shows. It’s shameless.
Their sideline operation, producing endless toys and replicas of their diminutive monsters, seems to hold itself to standards so far above the movies. It’s as if the media exists solely to sell the merch, and let’s face it, that’s probably exactly the case.
My school introduced me to this math game thing called "Prodigy". And holy fuck. This game is unneccesarily good.
Also, the main villain "Puppet Master" ngl has good character design. Also fun fact: The reason why Puppet Master's voice was so familiar to me was because it was done by the same VA as Mr.Hippo from FNAF
Has anyone else thought about the reason why Swank left Yuma alone when Yakou stepped in to intervene? In any normal case, Swank would've arrested Yuma since he was framed as the arsonist, along with the hitman now laying dead in the train with the rest of the bodies. Yakou getting involved wouldn't have changed that since he'd have no idea that Yuma was innocent and the hitman disguised as Zilch. At first we thought that maybe Yakou bribed Swank with some cash behind the scenes. Mitsume's words of advice to 'play both sides' must've meant something to him, after all. But we know better now.
The Anonymous letter changes everything. Yakou is fully aware that the real Zilch was killed and replaced by Yomi's personal hitman. Swank was most likely informed by Yomi of Yakou's knowledge. Yomi wanted Yakou alive and uninterrupted so that he could continue with his revenge plan to murder Huesca. So when Yakou confronted Swank, the peacekeepers had no choice but to give Yuma up to him. The surviving detectives would all end up being a part of the ploy, anyway.
Same can be said with Guillaume and Dominic. They should've held no qualms with beating the detectives to a pulp, especially one framed as a terrorist (poor Yuma doesn't get any breaks). But low and behold, once Yakou floats in on his boat, the counter-terrorist duo skid their beat-em-up session to a halt. Obviously it's not the only reason why Guillaume and Dominic stopped what they were doing, but you'd think they'd fight a little harder to damn Yuma as the terrorist. He did place the bombs. But nope! If Yakou's involved, the peacekeepers can't lay a finger on any of the detectives.
And man, isn't it perfect timing for Yomi and Martina to have rode in on their motorcycle right as Seth ordered to arrest Yuma, Halara, and Yakou?
Yomi manipulated the other peacekeepers to shape everything into his malignant plot so much more than we could've imagined.
Puppet Master, working at McDonald's: Sorry sir, we don't serve a McFuck here, so either you throw that one slice of pickle out or we're gonna have a McProblem.
I'm not sure if anyone has this theory or intense wanting too but I neeed to see MC embracing and controlling their curse somehow. With the power of self love and friendship they can use their hand curse to make people into crazy zombies then have them attack monsters/soulless as needed (or not..mc can go evil overlord, that can be fun) .
MC would be super powerful and cool, I wanna see an MC that isn't frustratingly helpless, but instead has some good development and a "holy shit i can do that??" moment. Either that or finding the old scrolls ( 'How to Manage Curses for Dummies' ) then gaining control that way.
Then a montage with MC genuinely tweaking and has a hoard of crazies charging into battle whilst Fortunate Son by CC plays in the background
I literally just woke up so this is either the best idea or the most delusional one
who out here playing gimmick puppets in 2023? haha just kidding. unless.... gimmickpuppetnightmare
A little less goofy-haha, more serious piece for iv/iv day. Some of the puppets were annoying to draw because the references suck or they have No Face, but i really love how this turned out <3
Glad that i have the abilities to do something for my special little guy this year <3
