Once you decide something, once you decide you want something, that's it. It can't fail you. The only thing that can 'fail' you is you. Not the law. You're not going into this blind, you should know that it's just something that's supposed to happen. Instead of asking, "What if it fails?" ask yourself, "Why would it fail? It's the Law of Assumption."

Rest easy and just know that you'll succeed. Because that's literally it. There's no room for failure in the law. Failure doesn't exist. It's literally just you deciding what you want and deciding that you have it. That's it. Stop trying to change the mirror. I was lying awake the other night, the night before my high school graduation. I was hoping how I wanted to be one of the top students in my class. But I was worried that my grades weren't enough. I felt that my efforts weren't enough. But you know what I did? I brushed those off. I said, "Oh, what am I doing? Why am I worrying? This is me we're talking about. Of course, I'm gonna be an honour student." The following day? My mother tapped my shoulder from behind me and told me that the graduation program had my name on it. There were two words underneath, underlined "With honours" I trusted the Law. I trusted myself. And I advise you to do the same.

Maze Runner Translation Gift Exchange

alright, it is happening! (hi, this is tea 🍵💘)

This event works as follows:

You chose a maze runner fanfiction of yours that is below 2k words that you would like to see translated

You get assigned someone else's fanfiction (that is also below 2k words) that you will translate into the language of your choice. Translation Gift Exchange, yayy!

Timeline:

Fill out form until March 20th

Assignments will probably happen the week after (via e-mail).

Translations can be posted as soon as they are done - on ao3 (three will be a collection), and on tumblr (there will be a tumblr for this event).

A month after the assignments (April 17th) I will check in with people who have not been able to upload their translation yet

If they think they will not manage I will assign alternate translators so everyone will get a gift-translation in the end.

Keep in mind: this is not a professional translation event, and no one will scorn you if there are mistakes. I also hear translating is harder than one might think it is, so be gentle with yourself <3 This event can be a really fun first experience of translating someone else's work. I think it could be incredible fun to remember that for so many of us English isnt' even our native language, and that we all bring such rich personal and cultural backgrounds into the fandom that are often forgotten because everything happens in English. aahhhhh <;333 you‘ll need: an e-mail adress tagging the people who have expressed interest, find the link to the google docs under the cut 🤍
