hi hi hii squad! I return with wasps in my back oh god help me-

anyways, lore time!

so, my kirby gijinka set thing is a multiversal AU where every single universe has a pink person (kirby verse has.. kirby, tinkle verse has popopo, steampunk verse has carvai and Clash has Pink Knight) as the true savior to all and stuff. kirby verse is a mixture of game n anime, meaning that rbay events happens first before kirbo dreamland and so on. while popopo verse is CLASSIC/pilot AU with bits of the novel and nana/thorn queen manga thrown in. in this verse, CROWNED dedede has a daughter and his right hand is a spikies wielder named thorn queen.. 80% of kirby's friends/enemies counterpart in popopo verse are just their beta designs or just.. designs I don't think they would fit in kirby verse (like DXs)

Popopo Triple deluxe story is dedede tour basically, except the whole kidnapping thing still happenes, not to him but, to his daughter. he and popopo team up to climb up all the way to the kingdom of floralia and just like in the game, Crowned DeDeDe throws hand with DX, she goes peter death pose, he gets sucked into the mirror world, DX rises again and popopo fights her in the background..

...Yeah. Those didn't look at all like the normal kind. He'll politely pass. Maybe the other challenges would be much sweeter...

Meanwhile. The only two other contestants from this blog were much more daring.

"Pew! Gross..." The box disguised as the orb spat the Harshmallow. Well. 22 wasn't that bad. The real Kirby have done much better, though.

One thing was for sure - someone definitely had the training for this kind of event...

"Was that supposed to scare me?" He still didn't trust NME one bit, but, come on. He did not undergo vigorous training in trying to rival Kirby's own appetite just to be thrown off by some monstrous puffs.

matter types in gamble galaxy

long headcanon rambling below!! copied from messages i sent in a discord server forever ago lol

i think…. every "being", living or not, has the four types of Matter in them to some extent, except for certain beings that are 100% of one kind (or more rarely 50/50 splits but ill get to that)

kirby, of course, is 100% heart. heart is connections to others, whether that be friendship, romance, family, rivalry, whatever. the ability to reach out and close distances. kirby, as an individual, is aro (imo), but as a Pure Heart Matter, he is full of so so so much love for everyone ultimate goodboy. i think twinkle popopo (kirby's ancestor in my verse) was also pure Heart. astrals in general tend to be primarily heart matter.

on the opposite side is Dark Matter, of course. dark is connection to the self. this can be good, in cases such as self-reflection and self-care, but it can also be obsessive and cruel. i think Zero (and the DM hivemind as a whole) literally can't see past itself, like a total solipsism; it is all that exists, so anything outside of itself must be brought "back" to the collective. the mirror dimension is another manifestation of dark, in the form of a whole universe populated by narrative foils of people. again, not Evil versions, but profoundly different people who, at their core, come from the same place. reflections of the most hidden parts of them.

Soul is just what it sounds like. it's what allows beings to live, and, paradoxically, it's all that's left behind when a being dies. soul is Existence, it is "being" boiled down to its most basic form. so when someone dies & is brought back, everything that isn't "being" (heart, dreams, darkness) is lost, and all that remains is Soul. Marx and the mage sisters are Soul Matter. i think soul also has more in common with dark than with heart; soul is the ultimate form of "self"

and of course, Dream matter is the opposite. if soul is existence, dream is what lies beyond existence; fantasy, imagination, possibilities. the phantoms are pure Dream. i think i hc that both Elfilin and Forgo are Dream Matters as well, tbh. just like soul and dark go hand in hand, so do dream and heart; dream is the ultimate form of "other", in that it encompasses everything that Could be, everything that is inherently unknowable to a solipsistic being.

(i think this also naturally leads to: while soul/dream and heart/dark are obvious opposites to each other, there's a more subtle duality between soul/heart and dream/dark)

tl;dr: Soul = the Self, totally divorced from the Other (all that Is) Dark = the Self as it relates to the Other (isolation, secrets) Heart = the Other as it relates to the Self (relationships) Dream = the Other, totally divorced from the Self (all that Might Be)

thoughts prior to listening:

ok let's go

Plasma: cool :) i don't know it's neat. hope it doesn't overall harm the album to have this 80s(???) spacey kind of sound in only some of the songs (flashbacks to cosmic explorer)

Time warp vee one point one: WHY start the album with that awkward unimpactful transition and this mediocre song. i like the po.. popopo in this song though. i can recognize this version is slightly different but not in a way that makes me care about it. probably the worst choice for the first song on an album (excluding the intro) ever, or maybe tied with love the world on triangle.

Polygon wave original mix: i like this song! among the best songs they've released post-level3. never noticed the extremely deep bass beneath the more noticeable bassline. the vocal choppy section feels very tacked on but i still like it. polygon waaaaaaae.... this would be a great song to show to other people to be like this is the music i listen to :) if the music video wasn't shit

Saisei: yes this is another one of the best songs since level3, no that does not mean it fits after polygon wave. i don't try to get my hopes up but it's still surprising how nonsensical ystk's track orders are every time. the buzzy bass is soo good. i always wonder how i would feel about perfume albums if i didn't already know which songs were singles. if i hadn't heard any of these songs before this would be an incredible album but so far there's been basically nothing new so it's just like here's 2 great songs and 1 boring one you already know.

Spinning World: love this song too. i didn't like how it started with the awkward spoken line but within the album i think that was a nice transition. so far this is a very funky album i like it. not funky as in funky but you know what i mean. i especially appreciate how the songs seem to have a lot more intricate details which were to some extent missing in futchure pop. do NOT like how the song just fades out. bad way to end a good song

Mawarukagami: first time listening to this song lol. oh wait no it's not i watched a video of it once. the bassline right after the chorus kind of sounds like the polygon wave bassline which was already... you know. and the guitar(?) during the second verse sounds very much like time warp. not necessarily a bad thing except it sounds too much like kyary. IT'S OVER?? ok. not a bad song but kind of forced emotional/fake deep

Flow: again how is this song even less interesting than time warp. honestly if it hadn't been a single this would've been a decent enough album track but i resent it for being a single. maybe it's my own problem that my enjoyment of songs depends on the context of their release but i don't think that's unique to me. this song sounds like it was made around the same time as nax7iro (thank god that's not on this album). here's a list of everything new this song brings to the table that we haven't heard before on some other song: . the joke is it's nothing

Mugen Loop: i kind of hated this song at first but i have since awoken. it sounds like ystk was having fun on this song. i like the kind of shift in tone halfway through and the slight evil circus sound through the whole thing.

Drive'n the Rain why is it spelled like that: the synths sound very harsh at points. not much to say i don't think i will have the urge to listen to this very often but not bad. this sure as hell does not need to be 6 minutes. that guitar during the bridge was very unusual for perfume and not really in a good way. next song please

Hatenabito: literally nothing to say this sounds like it will be on a level of irrelevancy similar to like. tokimeki lights

Android&: on the polygon wave EP i thought this song sounded kind of basic but after those last two songs i'm thankful for something fun.

Sayonara Plastic World: actually first time listening to this. is that melody supposed to sound like time warp.? idk if i'm just tired and ready for the album to be over buuuuut not getting a lot from this. a significant number of songs on this album (oh the song is over ok that was a completely bizarre way to end the album) had kind of uninteresting melodies so i was thankful whenever they stopped singing and there was some kind of synth solo

Overall:

-reminds me of JPN in the sense that there are a lot of single songs and not much new stuff, and in the sense there is no hard song like game/edge/party maker/story/fusion. and i already typed this earlier but again it kind of sucks i can't appreciate the album for the songs themselves as much just because i know they were released previously as singles but i can't help it. i think this effect lessens the more i listen though so i might start to like it more

-the new songs other than spinning world were very uninteresting

-after first listen i would put this album obviously above cosmic explorer and maybe equal to future pop. the best songs on this album are definitely better than the best of FP and there are more of them, but FP felt very cohesive and to the point, which i appreciate even if the point that album was trying to make was kind of mediocre.

-i think mawaru kagami completely killed the vibe and it didn't recover for the rest of the album, RIP

-feels like i got essentially no new perfume content that i care about through this album. spinning world should count but it was released before the album actually came out sooo

-the album has its issues but overall i think Nonaka Miki from Morning Musume did an impressive job taking over as perfume's producer after nakata yasutaka's tragic accident

The fact that Popopo is more worried that neither Meta and Gala would not want to hug him anymore after finding out he was Void Terrmina in the past, is just so him.

Sweet kid indeed. Someone hug him.

The revelation was going to make the arc really interesting and play into Popopo's conceptual origins as being based on the "original Kirby" in both an IRL sense and perhaps a precursor sense since in the ASM:R verse they were on that brink of "WHERE IS THE CHOSEN KIRBY WE ARE GETTING DESPERATE HERE."

Some fun extra detail with intentional "misinformation" in the story was Galacta's inconsistency with having "destroyed" vs "sealed" Void because he considered having dealt with him to effectively be the same thing, but naturally The Ancients had other plans. Since Dark Matter is effectively immortal until killed, what remained of Void was easily manipulated and used for some experiments, one of which resulted in little Popopo in hope of either Kirby finally showing up or for him to just straight up BE Kirby. Gala had no idea about the stuff but if he knew, he'd be pissed.

As mentioned, S2 was mostly going to be about Galacta's side of things and playing with that mess, and having him bond with some of the others a bit better was in the plan as well---having him forge a solidarity with Void Termina of all sorts was going to be a very fun route to take considering BOTH of them effectively suffered from The Ancients messing with them.

It's also low-key why Popopo keeps his horns like Galacta's---he admires him and his other side remembers their fight. But again, he doesn't hate him in the slightest, but was afraid he might hate him if he knew what he was. Thankfully, Galacta is not that type of guy. He knows this innocent baby boy is not the same "monster" he fought all those years ago and would be questioning if that "monster" really was one to begin with, considering around that time Zero (aka, Void's parent) was sealed away and Void was just seeking revenge/rescue while on an understandable rampage.

But yes, the baby will get all the hugs and also help bring a better era for the Dark Matters in general with Vladimir. He's happy he finally feels useful, even though he always was, haha.

Serious question: what exactly IS Kirby in your verse? If he’s an incarnation of Void, how’d he end up on a ship crash landing on Popstar?

Kirby is a Star Child, which are the positive counterparts to Dark Matters, and they pretty much all just pop into existence. Kirby was sent toward Popstar by being sealed into his Warp Star by Starway (old Kirby oc of mine that basically amounts to Star Child equivalent of Zero), which they then sent toward Popstar. A shooting star meant to grant multiple wishes.

As for the Void incarnation thing, I'm still not done fully fleshing that out. All I know for now is that both Zero and Twinkle Popopo (Galacta's old mentor) were also incarnations of it.

Agora não me faz repetir essa merda se não eu pego meus pesos e taco em cima de cada um de vocês, ouviram bem? Bom, sabe aquela propaganda da porra de “adote uma criança que espera por uma família num orfanato lindo cheio de pirralhos adoráveis?”. Tudo migué. A real é que lá tá todo mundo meio perdido e se perguntando quem eram os pau no cu dos pais que largaram a gente naquele inferninho. Mas a gente tem que arrumar uma forma de lidar com essa palhaçada, e cada um tem a sua. No meu caso, era enfiando a cabeça de alguns babacas na privada, chutando a cara de outros… Coisa básica do dia a dia, e pau no cu se eles eram mais fracos que eu. Eu acho que até fiz um favor, se quer saber. Imagina se aqueles bunda mole saem do orfanato e vão pro mundo com aquela cabeça de vento que eles tinham. Tem mais é que aprender na marra mesmo, então na moral, e fiz foi um favor.

Mas deixando minhas atitudes de caridade de lado, a real é que eu não fui lá o abandonado do orfanato. Na verdade, umas duas famílias almofadinhas olharam pra mim e me acharam uma criança adorável o suficiente pra me levar pra casa. O problema era quando eu chegava na casa, e aquela galera meio que passava a não gostar muito de mim, né. É que eu tinha essas brincadeiras de criança saudável, normal. Mas quando eu começava a quebrar a louça, enrolar a casa com papel higiênico e jogar mel no chão das vizinhas velhas insuportáveis, eles logo desistiam de mim e eu voltava pra porra do orfanato. Pelo menos o terror dos bunda mole sempre tava de volta, mas não é sobre isso. A real é que esse foi o resumo da minha vida por muito tempo, até eu vim pra Storydoom.

Porque o mano dos ovos me escolheu? Eu lá sei, e pica no rabo de quem souber também. Agora se o maluco me coloca na porra de uma competição, me tira do orfanato da chatice, e diz que se eu ganhar a competição eu vou ser o próximo pica das galáxias da páscoa? Porra, quem não vai se empenhar pra vencer uma parada dessas, né não? Infelizmente a gente não pode utilizar da violência pra vencer, então eu fui obrigado a fazer um jogo limpo. Mas venci, né. Tô aqui de qualquer jeito, mandei os outros palermas pra casa do caralho, e é sobre isso. Storydoom não é a Disney não, tá? Mas é bem melhor do que o mundo que eu vivia, então eu tô bem de boa por aqui e não pretendo ir embora tão cedo… Na verdade, nunca mais.

Agora na moral, quando eu for o pica das galáxias da páscoa, tem umas coisinhas que vão mudar, tá ligado? Vou falar logo antes que vocês fiquem aí cheio de dedos, e pipipi popopo. Olha só, a galera fica enchendo o cu de chocolate sempre que dá abril. Lota o mercado de ovo de chocolate, jarro de chocolate, criança de chocolate, fonte de chocolate, porra de chocolate. E cá entre nós: eu odeio chocolate. Foda-se se você acha que eu não tive infância, mas tenho horror a chocolate, me dá náuseas e eu quero que se lasque. E já que a páscoa vai ser minha e pau no cu do mundo, eu vou é abolir o chocolate dela. Pode chorar a vontade que eu não tô nem aí, tá beleza? Quando eu assumir o cargo, mermão, o abril de vocês vai ter é ovo cozido, acompanhando frango grelhado e batata doce, e vocês que engulam. Considering that Popopo, in my verse, is Kirby’s predecessor/past incarnation and died against Nightmare, I could imagine that they had a brieve face-to-face.

So when Morpho came to fetch their soul, Popopo bargained with him so as to reincarnate earlier than in “natural” circumstances (as Kirby). I don’t have everything figured out myself, but I can imagine Popopo having sort of predicted everything that would go down with Void as well. They’d be like the old couple that watch everything unfold in the living realm from afar. X’)

So they don’t have a particularly developed history, I’m just chuckling imagining Morpho being Done at this small but stubborn warrior trying to negociate with Death itself. And it’s mostly that I see their relationship as very symbolic, considering they’re Kirby and Meta Knight’s “betas”. ^w^

wel, hello again folks! been a while since I shared anything related to kirbo in general and now, I would like to scream in happiness as I share my boy, ADO with you!

1st doodle: well, here's the happy mama boy! (even though, he doesn't have one), in contrast to his counterpart, isn't actually shy but, rather, socially awkward but, if someone were to start the conversation about something he IS interested in, he will be more talkative n all. Oh! and who's that fairy that resembles ribbon in the bg? why that's Kawashima/BOW! (ribbon's counterpart), after meeting in the crystal shard incident, Ado and her became very close friend and their passion in exploring the universe made them become adventurers of their own and they began exploring the wide universe since.

2nd doodle: I can't say much about this one other then, a moot of mine stated ado x nana as a crack joke, I got influenced and now, it's canon in my popopo verse au lol.

3rd doodle: nobody in this universe can break crowned ddd or normal's ddd's record of having their bodies taken as the local hotspot for dark matter possession but, if there was a rankin' scale and I ranked the painter boy, I would say he would be in the 3rd rank.. cuz he (as well as adeleine) got possessed three times, but, the third time was more of a "group" possession thing by the bad jamba heart that literally slammed to his head made him go crazy, luckily for the painter, BOW was there to save hhi! even though she had to take extreme measures with the situation

I picked these precise expression to how it fits in the situations I imagined them in (Nana dealing with a VERY rude costumer, Fumumodoki dealing with some random popstarian who still beleives her dad is Evil, Popopo waking up at 9AM and finding either her stuff and gia's (gooey) are gone or shitload of gifts are scattered in their room like a late-night party, Aand Ado dealing with people that still mistake pen for a pencil or mix a brush'es name with other)

this was really fun and I might make part two with Crowned and Dedede and his workers (thorn queen, escargoon, Shadow...)

Day 2: Smashketball.

Would these three fair any better from the first round?

Oh dear. Looks like some of the Miis resembled a little too much like some of the friends Jobski had made thus far. Both human and otherwise. Hence, the hesitation and the very low score.

Popopo didn’t do much to dunk the Miis, either. Probably should have used something else than a shield to deflect their attacks, but then again it’s been a while since he was last involved in any ‘battle’ of sorts...

With both of their scores on the low end, perhaps “Kirby” would only barely do a little bit better than-

“We did out best! Thank you, Miss Rosalina, Mister Fox, and Miss Jigglypuff, for your help!” The pink Star Warrior smiled at the participating fighters. Popopo might have misunderstood what a ‘thriller’ was supposed to be, but the experience of making one of those ‘movies’ he’s learned about was just as thrilling. 10 out of 80 was far from the best score, but it was the adventure that counts. He made sure to get the three fighters each a star-summoned fruit basket for all the help they gave him. Mainly explaining what a movie even is.
