I started a project that can’t be rushed. My Nurgle chosen. The first three fell together like gifts from papa Nurgle himself. They were meant to be. First model being the chosen champion. Who simply just took a power first from the deathguard. Probably my least favorite but still cool.

Number 2 is the brainchild and best of my creations. A truely badass mofo. The combination of the pose from the chosen kit and the giant axe from the deathguard kit created one of my most favorite poses I’ve ever seen. It makes me wish I had put more thought into the champion. Which is why I can’t rush this.

Number 3 here carries the badassery to glory with the build. Utilizing pieces from both the blightlord kit and the plague marine kit to build a giant flail of corruption for my boy to smash with. Truely possessing the gifts of Nurgle.

With extra icons and bits included all over the 2 non champions, they really carry what I originally expected when I started my warband in 2016. The champions cool and I’ll use him and keep him as is, but In comparison to the other 2, he just doesn’t hold up. Which is why this squad can’t be rushed, I need the right bits and poses for the squad to be perfect. I want dominate characters with big plague weapons. And to do this, I have to wait and play it slow. It’s not like I don’t have lots more to do while I wait.

My warband has changed a ton over the last 6 years, and the release of the deathguard as a whole army definitely changed directions. But a lot of people just assume I’m a deathguard player. And while I do have a heavy presence of their models now, I’m still true to my original cause. I run a chaos warband dedicated to Nurgle. I’d live for its glories and losses to inspire me to write a book on it all eventually. I want my warband to be lord damnit. I guess step one is naming it and the warlord.

And a FYI for what i have chaos-deathguard ratio. I have:

40 marines

2 chaos lords

10 chosen

2 obliterators

1 venomcrawler

8 chaos terminators

2 hellbrutes

1 chaos space marine deamon prince

2 predator tanks

30 cultists

5 chaos bikers

- Death Guard: Plague Marines - Depois de pintar um monte de Krosmasters e de Warhammer Age of Sigmar, acabei entrando no chamado 40k, o Warhammer futurista. Como ja conhecia o vovô Nurgle, deus da doença, decomposição, morte e ressurreição do mundo fantasia, continuei servido-o quando me alistei no mundo futurista desses bonequinhos com o Death Guard, fieis soldados de Mortarion, o principe demonio de Nurgle. Tecnicamente falando é uma mudança legal das espadas e armaduras medievais pra pintar umas arminhas de plasma e tanques de guerra, e em breve devemos ver mais dessas coisas. Como pra fazer um army voce precisa de mtos bonecos, ao inves de ciclar em temas diferentes, vou ciclar entre tipos diferentes de minitura nesse projeto. Tem tanque, drone, robô gigante, e por ai vai. Pra esses bonecos tb foi bem diferente dos que tenho de Warhammer Underworlds: as bases vem lisas, e os bonecos tem milhares de opcoes de armas, cabecas e detalhes, bem customizavel.. o que consome mais tempo mas tb muito divertido. Sobre a pintura, pros suditos de Nurgle, quanto mais sujo melhor.. dificil errar.. mas haja detalhe! Update on the 30 Kriegsmen… Yeah, they didn’t get done in a weekend, I always forget how detailed these are and how much time each one takes to do the straps and backpack. Anyway, a few more need the guns blacking out, then it’s the blue trousers and gloves, and metalics to go then finally all the base layers are done. Then it’s a quick weather, highlights and chipping and they are done…. However, painting in this heat… Yhe paints are drying out so fast (even on a wet pallet) it’s taking forever. Cranking out another plague marine for sqaud 2. Oficcaily having painted 17 of these boys.

Breaking the directions rules and putting the arms and backpack on the wrong body. I’ve orcastrated a fairly proper Nurgle boy. If I had some glossy clear coat to shine up the green container, he’d be perfect.
