Finding someone in the forest was not your plan, but when have things ever gone your way?

A/N: I saw this in a vision I had to write it,, this is entirely platonic btw

You weren’t sure why every cookie had been after you as soon as you found yourself here. You had certainly been thrown for a shock when you saw your cookie body, but being able to see your comfort characters after all this time of them being behind a screen? Why, it had to be a dream come true!

Turns out it was but a nightmare in disguise. You had been chased out of the Cookie Kingdom, the very one you built- everyone calling you an imposter. “Begone, imposter!” “The Caretaker is no cookie! You really thought you could fool us?!” Those were just a few things you heard when escaping. You didn’t even know what they meant by Caretaker, and especially something that’s not a cookie no less. Maybe the Sugar Swan? But you didn’t even look anything like her! What you thought didn’t matter in the end, since they refused to flat out even listen to you.

So here you now are. Constantly on the run. You brushed snow out of your face, as it seemed to be falling on you almost constantly with how many trees there were around you. The snowy forest at least brought some relief, because what kind of cookie would be insane enough to go through here? You glanced at the scarves the trees had tied around them, curiosity tugging at your brain.

Well, you are quite cold, and it is a tree, soo… You start to tug the scarf off, until you hear a shout behind you. “Hey! Leave the gift for the trees alone!” You quickly turned around, and met the face of the angry Pinecone Cookie. You immediately recognized them, since they were one of the newest cookies before you had been isekaid. They pouted, the owl on their staff chirping angrily. “What’re you even doing in this forest, huh?! I don’t appreciate people who bother the trees in the forest!”

“I-I’m sorry, I-” You stuttered. “Please don’t hurt me.” You begged, tears springing into your eyes. Pinecone flinched seeing your sudden tears, and the trees creaked all around you. “Huh? Really?” They asked the tree you had been tugging the scarf from. “Oh... erm...” They turned to you, not making eye contact. “The trees just told me...” Here it was. They were gonna say you were an imposter, and Pinecone would chase you out. You felt yourself tense, ready to run. “...that they like having you here. Can’t say I understand why, but...” They smiled at you. “A friend of the trees is a friend of mine!”

“You’re not gonna hurt me?” You asked. Pinecone frowned. “Of course not! I’d never hurt a friend of the trees!” They exclaimed, shocked you even thought they’d do such a thing. “Hey, wait a minute... you’re hurt!” Suddenly, that friendly face had turned into an angry glare. “Who hurt you?! I’ll show them the power of the forest!” They fumed. You waved your cookie stubs of hands frantically. “Nono, don’t worry about it. I was just... careless.”

“...hm, okay.” They were still suspicious of your injuries, you could tell, but it seemed they’d stay quiet for now. “Oh right! I never told you my name!” Pinecone stood up straight, almost pridefully. “I’m Pinecone Cookie, the protector of this forest and all inside it! That includes you, now!” They then looked to you, tilting their head. “What’s your name, then?” They asked. You knew you couldn’t tell them your actual name, that’d both make you stand out and the other cookies got angry when you told them your name. So, you quickly came up with one. “I’m (A/N) Cookie. [alias name] It’s nice to meet you, Pinecone.”

“The nice feelings are returned!” Pinecone chirped. “Hey, why don’t you stay here for a little while? The trees enjoy your company, and I do too!” They offered, and you wanted to cry in relief, and you did with tears coming to your eyes. Pinecone flinched at your tears. “Huh? What’s wrong?” They asked, concerned. “N-Nothing, I just... I don’t have anywhere to go, and I’m really happy...” You sniffled while wiping your eyes, and Pinecone was relieved that you weren’t upset. “Well the forest is your home now, too!” They smiled at you, and you smiled in return.

It felt nice to have a place to call home, after everything.

My very beautiful friend gave me a very beautiful present: Russian pinecones in syrup! Full honesty, I kinda thought she was fucking with me, but they were shockingly delicious! Chewy like honeycomb, only softer, and with a flavor like if baklava was a berry. Then a sudden aftertaste of pine needles! The pine nuts are nice too.

The whole experience is like eating something your parents kept stopping you from putting in your mouth as a child. Very satisfying, 12/10, no notes.

this should surprise no one. hes my magical little guy. so charming and fun and he gets a cool song and dance. he's never been played by a straight person he's winning

2.Munkustrap

someday if im lucky ill be just like him. hes such a solid and comforting presence on stage and he gets all the best character interactions.

3.Demeter

she's just,, like,, idk she grows on you. she's so important but so unseen, she's yellow! i really don't know what it is, but I couldn't put anyone else in the top 3 ok. I love her choreography and the way she's so contrary and captivating.

4. Skimbleshanks

he was my og fav when I watched for the first time and I'm always happy to see him :))). i love his song and his little vest and the way he moves, as it's a little different compared to the rest of the cats. also i love trains

5. Macavity

tbh this one really just comes down to the musical-esq silliness of him. like hes so glittery and everyone yells his name when he shows up, and he does little ballet twirls, but also he's so so evil. also obsessed with productions where he beats munkustrap's ass lmao

6. John Partrid--- I mean uh The Rum Tum Tugger (or rocky tam tam if ur french)

look, just, that's a man. an attractive man in tight black clothing who just moves his hips like crazy. but also hes like a pillar of the community and hes so goofy and fhueujfhsjkdafhajks. Never have I known a character that could steal Hua Cheng's line about sincerity and have it fit so well. tbh I could probably put him higher on my list, just due to the sheer amount of thoughts I have about him, but I'm not a basic bitch.

7. Tantomile

love the idea that a cat is psychic, love her makeup and choreography. I always watch how she interacts with other characters, and her presence on stage is always so good

8. Coricopat

they can't be separated. anyway i like him for many of the same reasons I like Tantomile, but he's lower on the list bcuz idk vibes ig? I just love the both of them as an element to the tribe ya know?

9. Bombalurina !

obsessed with her complex portrayal of female sexuality, she's always got such a good voice, her relationships with other characters is fucking fantastic. the only reason she's not higher on this list is bcuz i don't personally relate to her that much, but she's just such a good character ;-;

10. Jemima

i just love her ok. I love the way she fits into the community and how her few moments in the spotlight hold such significance. i love the moments she gets with victoria, and i just think shes neat. a very good manifestation of the expression "from the mouths of babes"

DAG CAMPOUT!

Yesterday I arrived a day late, set up my tent, and ran down to introduce myself to the prince (who reminded me greatly of a character from the animated robin hood movie) to petition to join the kingdom. My friend Lux presented me, but it was cut short by some themed battles.

Which had to do with the beautifully crafted but not pictured Anvil Which Counts As A Legal Rock Weapon. After that, we took a break and there was a little chain craft table where Martok showed us all how to make the little spiral bracelets in the first picture. They've got this lovely spiraly twist and were very fun and easy to make. (And I dearly love making crafts around other people and helping eachother when we get stuck.) Then more miscellaneous pick up battles, Rock Only shenanigans. I borrowed someone's spear and got in some surprisingly helpful shots!

Many hours and a stew later did we start The Ceremonies 'round the fire. Myself and one other were welcomed as citizens, and then three were squired to their knights. Thus began good many hours of drinks and good company! (Homemade strawberry mead!) Did you know that most kobolds require no payment for mischief, and if handed a comically sized inflatable mallet will assassinate whoever you point to?

and then also horse shenanigans, and horse tragedy. (NOT including horsipede.....)
