Mẫu đơn trong Dược học cổ truyền Trung Hoa:

Dược học cổ truyền Trung Hoa sử dụng Paeonia để làm thành những vị thuốc khác nhau:

- Paeonia suffruticosa cung cấp vị Mẫu đơn bì (mu-dan-pi), ghi trong Chế dược thư của Cộng Hòa Nhân dân Trung Hoa.

- Paeonia lactiflora cung cấp các vị Bạch thược (bai-shao) và Xích thươc (chi-shao)

Mẫu đơn bì đã được ghi chép trong Cẩm Nang Trân Châu của Trương Nguyên Tố (Zhang Yuan-Su) vào thời nhà Kim (Thế kỷ 12). Các Danh Y cổ Trung Hoa như Ngô Phổ Thục, Nhân Quyền (đời Đường), Lý thời Trân, Cù Hy Ưng (đời Minh) và Trương trọng Cảnh.. đều bàn luận về các phương thức sử dụng Mẫu đơn bì trong rất nhiều thang thuốc..

A- Bạch thược và Xích thược:

Cây paeonia lactiflora thường được gọi là Thược dược = Shaoyao khi chưa phân biệt thành Bạch thược hay Xích thược. Yao hay dược có nghĩa là vị thuốc và Shaoyao là vị thuốc làm từ cây Thược.

Cả 2 vị thuốc Bạch thược và Xích thược đều được ghi trong Chế Dược thư của CHND Trung Hoa.

- Theo Advanced Textbook on Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology (Tài liệu giảng dậy về Đông dược chính thức của Trung Quốc) thì Xích thươợc là rễ nguyên vẹn của cây còn giữ nguyên vỏ dày màu đỏ; và Bạch thược là phần rễ đã bóc vỏ. Cách chế Bạch thược được ghi chép như sau: ‘Rễ củ của những cây từ 3-4 tuổi được đào lên, thu hoạch trong mùa hè-thu, rửa sạch, cắt bỏ các rể nhõ, phần vỏ được cạo sạch, nấu sơ trong nước sôi, rồi phơi nắng..’

- Theo Steven Foster &Yue ChongXi (Herbal Emissaries) thì Rễ cây P. lactiflora nuôi trồng, sau khi cạo bỏ vỏ, được gọi là Bạch thược. Rễ các cây P. lactiflora và P. veitchii mọc hoang, giữ nguyên vỏ được gọi là Xích thược

Bạch thược (Bai- shao)

Vị thuốc được thu hoạch vào mùa hè thu từ P. lactiflora, loại tốt nhất là cây trong vùng Triết giang, An Huy, Tứ Xuyên.

Nhật dược (Kampo) gọi vị thuốc là byakushaku; Triều tiên là paekchak.

Bạch thược được xem là có vị đắng/chua; tính ‘hàn’, tác động vào kinh mạch thuộc Can và Tỳ.

Bạch thược có những đặc tính:

- Dưỡng huyết, điều hòa kinh nguyệt: Trị các chứng ‘huyết nhược’ như kinh nguyệt không đều, huyết trắng, xuất huyết tử cung. Đây là một trong những vị thuốc chính để trị bệnh phụ khoa. Dùng phối hợp với Đương Quy (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) và Sinh địa (Radix Rehmanniae Glutinosae) để trị chóng mặt, mắt mờ, kinh nguyệt không đều liên hệ đến huyết nhược và huyết ứ; thêm Mạch môn đông (Tuber Ophipogonis Japonici) để trị ù tai, mắt mờ, tê đầu ngón tay-chân, co giật bắp thịt gây ra do Âm Can suy nhược..

- An ‘Dương Can’, làm giảm đau nhất là đau tức nơi ngực, cạnh sườn, nơi hông gây ra do Can Khí ứ tắc hay do mất quân bình giữa Can và Tỳ. Nói chung, vị thuốc được dùng để ‘An và Bổ Can’, làm ngưng các cơn đau thắt nơi bụng, trị đau nhức co rút tay chân trị nhức đầu, chóng mặt do Dương thăng tại Can. Có thể phối hợp với nhiều vị thuốc khác như Cúc hoa, Cẩu đằng khi trị nhức đầu; hay phối hợp với Hoàng cầm và Hoàng liên để trị kiết ly do Nhiệt-Thấp..

- Bảo toàn Âm và điều hòa Vinh-Vệ: trị huyết trắng và bần tinh cùng các chứng suy nhược do Phong-Hàn ngoại nhập (phối hợp với Quế chỉ); dùng trị Ẩm suy do Dương thăng nơi biểu gây ra đổ mồ hôi đêm

Xích thược (Chi-shao)

Vị thuốc có thể lấy từ Rễ Paeonia vieichii (trồng tại Tứ Xuyên, Vân Nam, Thanh Hải..) hay P. lactiflora. Tại một số vùng tại Trung Hoa, có thể dùng rễ của P. obovata. Vị thuốc thu hoạch vào mùa Xuân hay mùa Thu.

Nhật dược gọi là sekishaku; Triều tiên: Chokchak.

Vị thuốc được xem là có vị chua/đẳng; tính hàn nhẹ, tác động vào kinh mạch thuộc Can, Tỳ.

Xích thược có những đặc tính:

- Bổ huyết, Phá huyết ứ: giúp trị các bệnh kinh nguyệt không đều, bặt kinh, đau bụng, có khối u nơi bụng. Cũng giúp trị sưng và đau do chấn thương, mụn nhọt sưng tấy gây đau nhức (dùng chung với Xuyên Khung).

- Thanh Nhiệt và Lương Huyết dùng trị các chứng Nhiệt nhập vào Huyết gây sốt nóng, lưỡi đỏ, da có đốm đỏ, xuất huyết..

- Thanh Can-hỏa giúp trị mắt sưng, đỏ, đau nhức..

B- Mẫu đơn bì:

Dược học cổ truyền Trung Hoa dùng vỏ cây Paeonia suffruticosa làm thuốc dưới tên Mẫu đơn bì (Mu-dan-pi).

Dược liệu được thu hoạch trong các tháng 10-11 từ các cây đã được 3-5 năm. Loại tốt nhất là từ các cây trồng hay mọc hoang tại an Huy, Hồ Nam, Tứ Xuyên, Sơn Đông, Quế Châu..

Dược học Kampo Nhật gọi dược liệu là bofanpi và Triều Tiên gọi là moktanp’i.

Mẫu đơn bì được xem là có vị cay/ đắng, tính hàn và tác động vào các kinh mạch thuộc Tâm, Can và Thận.

Mẫu đơn bì có những đặc tính:

- ‘Thanh Nhiệt’ và ‘Lương Huyết’: trị được các chứng Nhiệt nhập vào huyết trong các bệnh ôn-nhiệt như chẩy máu mũi, đờm có máu, thổ huyết và cả những trường hợp kinh nguyệt quá nhiều do nhiệt-huyết gây ra. Trong các trường hợp này Mẫu đơn bì được dùng chung với Xích thược.

- ‘Thanh Hỏa’ trong các chứng ‘Suy nhược’ như ‘Âm suy: trong các bệnh Xương cốt sau khi nhiễm ôn-nhiệt mà không đổ mồ hôi (dùng chung với Thanh hao = Artemisiae Annuae).

- ‘Bổ Huyết’, phá ‘huyết ứ’: trong các chứng Huyết ứ tại Can đưa đến bặt Kinh nguyệt, khối u nơi bụng (dùng chung với Táo nhân).

- Thanh được Hỏa thăng nơi Can gây các chứng nhức đầu, đau mắt, đau ngang lưng, kinh nguyệt ít.. (dùng chung với Cúc hoa trong các chứng đau mắt..)

- Trừ mủ, chống sưng: Dùng ngoài da trị các chấn thương gây sưng nhức, hay dùng trong để trị sưng ruột (dùng chung với Kim Ngân hoa và Liên kiều.)

Molecules, Vol. 23, Pages 246: Complete Chloroplast Genome Sequence and Phylogenetic Analysis of Paeonia ostii

Paeonia ostii, a common oil-tree peony, is important ornamentally and medicinally. However, there are few studies on the chloroplast genome of Paeonia ostii. We sequenced and analyzed the complete chloroplast genome of P. ostii. The size of the P. ostii chloroplast genome is 152,153 bp, including a large single-copy region (85,373 bp), a small single-copy region (17,054 bp), and a pair of inverted repeats regions (24,863 bp). The P. ostii chloroplast genome encodes 111 genes, including 77 protein-coding genes, four ribosomal #RNA genes, and 30 transfer #RNA genes. The genome contains forward repeats (22), palindromic repeats (28), and tandem repeats (24). The presence of rich simple-sequence repeat loci in the genome provides opportunities for future population genetics work for breeding new varieties. A phylogenetic analysis showed that P. ostii is more closely related to Paeonia delavayi and Paeonia ludlowii than to Paeonia obovata and Paeonia veitchii. The results of this study provide an assembly of the whole chloroplast genome of P. ostii, which may be useful for future breeding and further biological discoveries. It will provide a theoretical basis for the improvement of peony yield and the determination of phylogenetic status. http://bit.ly/2nfiyOw #MDPI
