The way p’Aof is treating disability is SO BEAUTIFUL.
The way Sea is portraying a man who is visually impaired is SO REAL. Goosebumps, literal goosebumps.
Having worked in the past with a woman who was blind for four years - I am in pieces because of how good this show is! I can’t wait until next week!!

OS2xBBS: My Overall Thoughts
This is severely overdue, but I wanted to distance myself from these episodes to make sure that 1) regency bias didn’t seep through and 2) my thoughts don’t get clouded by the cute, swoony moments (all the kissing!) in an attempt to mask deeper plot and characterization issues, and 3) with some difficulty, I try to set aside how desperately I wanted OhmNanon’s reunion with PatPran to live up to the OG series.
So, to address the last item, for the most part OhmNanon’s chemistry was still alive and well, save for a few hiccups. This is a testament to two very experienced professionals. That said, my biggest gripe with these special episodes was the treatment of the Pat and Pran characters that has nothing to do with the actors.
It didn’t feel like a true crossover of two beloved series but instead felt like Pat and Pran’s presence were more like afterthoughts thrown into an ATOTS script. Pat and Pran were merely there to serve Phupha and Tian’s story and that is were I take great issue. In this case, Ohm and Nanon should not have been billed as main leads but rather supporting characters that have extended guest arcs in an ATOTS sequel.
Maybe setting plays a larger role here. I’ve asked myself if I would feel this way if Phupha and Tian got thrown into Pat and Pran’s university life instead. But I can’t imagine a storyline where the inverse of what we got makes sense since PatPran are the more established couple and PhuTian have no reason to leave PPD.
My wish was that instead of a crossover, P’Aof would have let BBS stand on its own even if it meant we got two fewer episodes out of it. While we did get glimpses of Pat and Pran’s life three-years into their relationship, it felt watered down because they weren’t in their own environment but a borrowed one. So, really, more like seeing them while on vacation than anything truly concrete. A lot of ‘what have Pat and Pran been up to and where are they in their relationship’ was left to viewer interpretation, which is all fine and well if what P’Aof had to say about the state of their relationship made any sense.
Fake fighting and cute hijinks aside (Ohm and Nanon can sell these type of scenes in their sleep); what I’m after is the meatier stuff like the end of EP4, the entirety of EP5, EP10, EP11 and EP12. Where is the Pran that got choked up when Pat revealed he ran after him with his guitar; who gripped his hand when Pat volunteered to fake break up to win back Pran’s friends and wordlessly said I’m here to stay. Where is the “but I care about you more” Pran?
And where is the Pat who communicated so openly with his man? Who served as a walking advertisement of what it means to be a soaring green flag to all those who came before and after him? Why was he reduced to an amalgamation of Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber? Make it make sense, P’Aof. Pat never, ever, not once, came off as a dumb himbo in the OG series, so why was he reduced to that here?
The script could have been so much better, tighter, just more substantial. And we can't even say that P'Aof didn't have the space to include a meaningful story for them; I call bullshit on this notion. There's so much story that you can tell in a single hour. We've seen him do it with the BBS pilot.
It felt like so very little thought went into the BBS side of the story. Does P’Aof not know how to write established relationships in a compelling way? I know this can't be true because he gave us EP12, but why did it feel like he phoned it in with these bonus episodes? It’s like P’Aof knew he had both boys for a limited time and just threw the entire kitchen sink at them and anything that stuck made it into the final cut. Like, he relied heavily on the actors to bring it home for him. And that really wasn't fair to Ohm or Nanon who really did the best they could with what they were given.
I mean, even if he wanted to show the (realistic) cracks in their relationship, there were so many better ways to show this than have Pran essentially running away, avoiding Pat (basically regressing to who he was pre-relationship) and then treating Pat like a bumbling Barney Fife for following him? There was no fire in either of them to fight for or with one another. They were shown to have grown complacent (and dare I say taking each other for granted?) which is so at odds with what we got in the OG series that I was confused at what I was watching onscreen. It did not feel like a continuation of EP11 leading to EP12, in fact it felt very disconnected from their origin story.
Pat Jindapat. What they did to my guy was a travesty. They took away all his depth and cast him in the role of a bumbling idiot. Don't get me wrong, OG Pat had his comedic moments but I felt like OS2 veered so far into the extreme of 'lets bring the funny' that it fell completely flat. It was NOT funny. It was disappointing and sad to see one of my favorite characters reduced to this cartoon version.
More than senselessly reducing Pat to cannon fodder to merely serve as comic relief, I'm upset that Pran's growth from the series was essentially negated to where he became, in some ways, unrecognizable. More than once, it felt like Pran was just tolerating Pat's presence rather than basking or gravitating towards it. Again, so inconsistent for a guy who longed for his man for literal YEARS.
Gone are the days of "I'm done adapting" or adoringly staring at the space Pat used to occupy with heart eyes. I just don't get how we went from that Pran to this Pran to the Pran who readily committed his life to Pat in EP12. This in-between Pran is a stranger to me.
Final words: I'm both grateful that we got extra scenes with our boys but at the same time wish P'Aof had left them untainted.

Wildest GMMTV 2024 dreams (I know we haven't even gotten a fraction of what we're waiting for in 2023 yet shut uppppp) (this list is not complete)
A P'Aof-helmed FirstKhao series
Fourth and Mix in a series together
Getting really wild here. But I want P'Au to give the "MSP-esque pitch-perfect romcom" treatment to a GL. A P'Au-helmed GL. I'm crying just thinking about it
Honestly I want all my beloved directors to get on with the GL content. P’Aof, P’Au, P’Jojo, P’Nuchy. Let’s go
Film in a GL role. (Like if GMMTV doesn't come out STRONG with the GLs in 2024 after Gap the Series' explosive success, they are SUCKERS)
This is not wild at all, it's basically set in stone at this point. But a SatangWinny series!
More MilkLove, preferably not in a high school setting
More couple splitting opportunities a la Moonlight Chicken, Only Friends

Top 10 BLs I watched in 2021
As the year comes to a close I’ve decided to take a look at all the BLs I watched in these past 12 months and determine my faves. Notice that it’s BLs I watched in 2021, not BLs released in 2021.
1. Manner of Death (Thailand, 2020)
Even though the majority of this aired in 2020, it wasn’t finished until January 2021 so it counts as a 2021 watch for me. God the theories we discussed after every episode, we all must’ve looked absolutely insane. Peak clown behaviour... Anyways, this is the direction I hope more BLs take in the future. Not necessarily crime/thriller (though that IS one of my favourites and I would not complain about more of that) but what I want to see is BL delving into a variety of genres. You could see how a more serious and mature approach really elevated MaxTul and their acting to a new level and I wish to see more CPs explore that in the future.
2. We Best Love (Taiwan, 2021)
I distinctly remember the moment I scrolled through WeTV and saw this being announced and thought “Oh well, this looks like a small passion project, might check it out.” Well... it IS a passion project but it definitely isn’t small anymore. I recently rewatched this and to be quite honest, the story is not the most amazing thing you’ll ever watch (shoutout to S2EP2 though, that shit was mental). But the reason why I can’t let go of this one is the actors. Apart from loving the supporting actors (Tian and Evan specifically), SamYu simply has me in a chokehold point blank. No other CP compares to them. And even though I‘m scared of what kind of drama plot will be introduced in S3 I absolutely cannot wait for it simply because of all the SamYu content we will get from the promo. Like… @schnaf and I have a wishlist for result entertainment of things we need them to do - and those moving cat ears that read your brain waves are on the very top of it.
3. Bad Buddy (Thailand, 2021)
Ok, I know this hasn’t finished airing yet but I think we can all agree that this deserves to be on here. I heavily doubt they will fuck up the ending so we’ll let it slide. Bad Buddy really looked at all the things a Thai BL can do wrong and then said “Hold my engineering diploma, we’ll show you how it’s done.” Like... it still uses a lot of typical tropes, nothing about the story is particularly groundbreaking or anything we haven’t seen yet. And still, it works so so well. I think Ohm and Nanon’s phenomenal acting contributes a big part to this. But also P’Aof just knows what he’s doing. As much as I praised MoD for exploring a new genre, Bad Buddy proves that you can take all the tried and true things, like a uni setting and an enemies to lovers plot, and still stand out from the crowd. ALSO: Possible/very likely GL side couple instead of randomly pairing up all the best friends? We love to see it!
4. Word of Honor (China, 2021)
After The Untamed we’ve all been waiting for the next big danmei. Is it as good as The Untamed? No. But nothing will ever be as good as The Untamed so that’s okay. I’ll admit I gave up on trying to understand the plot halfway through but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t thoroughly enjoy this drama. Everyone involved really did the best they could do to bring this novel to life by toeing the line of censorship. And with that ending? What more can you wish for honestly, considering the circumstances. WoH, at its core, is a story about bad people and I do love me some villains! Starting from WKX and continuing with so many beloved side characters, a lot of which were badass women, I can’t help but love this show.
5. I Promised You the Moon (Thailand, 2021)
Okay, I’m not a big fan of second seasons when it comes to BL because more often than not we’ll be treated to a cheating plot and IPYTM is not an exception to this. However, ITSAY was already revolutionary in how it broke the mold of what highschool/uni BLs were supposed to look and be like. And this continues in IPYTM. The whole thing just feel so much more raw. A lot of Thai BLs are goofy and ridiculous and that’s okay, those are fun as well. But ITSAY and IPYTM feel more like reality. You can feel how BK and PP really put their all into this project and I hope this shows producers that there are many different ways to tackle BLs.
6. Don‘t Say No (Thailand, 2021)
For the same reason I tend to avoid second seasons I also tend to avoid established relationship plots. Until I watched Don’t Say No. It’s laughable how bad the trailer is compared to the actual show. In fact, it almost stopped me from watching this. Well, thank god I still did! I think LeoFiat are the couple with the best communication skills out of all the BLs I’ve watched so far. They have a very specific relationship dynamic that could definitely be interpreted as dom/sub but - and this is the thing - it’s healthy! Which is why I can’t believe the people who made Tharntype also made DSN. To me, it feels like the complete opposite. As for JaFirst: I hope they’ll get another series because they do have a lot of chemistry.
7. Couple of Mirrors (China, 2021)
Listen, I know I said BL but CoM deserves a spot on this list, period. I went into this knowing nothing and was positively surprised by the mature subject matter. Who doesn’t love a bit of murder, crime and intrigue? On top of that, our two mains were just way too cute! And just like with WoH, considering the censorship this drama went through we still got a lot of things that definitely hinted at more than just friendship. I also really loved the historical setting in the Republican Era and really want to see more of that. Thank god we’ll get season 2, right?
8. Be Loved In House: I Do (Taiwan, 2021)
Is the premise of this enemies to lovers plot ridiculous? Yes, but who even cares. What can I say? I’m a sucker for omg they were roommates! This was like a fun little snack: it didn’t feel too serious and god, did it have some ridiculous scenes. But sometimes, that’s all you need. Obviously, this wasn’t something that will stick with you forever, but that’s okay. The mains did a very solid job and we even got a bit of steamy action towards the end, so all in all I would definitely recommend this.
9. Together With Me (Thailand, 2017)
This is on the list simply for S1EP1 scene 1 alone. Like HELLO? I watched this after MoD so I already knew how MaxTul act with each other but still… insanity. Unfortunately, the trope of the jealous (ex-) girlfriend is heavy with this one but it also gave us one of THE BEST female side characters in all of BL: Queen Yiwha! We love, we stan, we ship her with Fai (yes, we’ll ignore Bad Romance for our sanity’s sake). Major point deduction for the creepy doctor though...
10. Why R U? (Thailand, 2020)
Half of this was great (Fightor) and half of this was boring (SaifahZon). Which is why I have to say I’m very glad Fightor ended up becoming the main couple at some point. Of course they had their ups and downs and some scenes were... questionable but in the end I did enjoy their story a lot.
-
Honorable mentions:
EP 9 & 10 of Y-Destiny (2021)
Kaengputh my beloved! There really wasn’t enough time in just these two episodes to tell their story so it all just felt a bit rushed but First and Toru made up for it with their phenomenal performance. I really hope these two will get their own series soon because their on-screen chemistry is INSANE.
Until We Meet Again (2019)
Okay, I’ll admit I skipped through most of this. It’s in honorable mentions because of WinTeam. No regrets.
My Engineer (2020)
Congrats for being the worst BL I’ve ever watched yet somehow still making me obsessed for like two weeks straight. This is the complete opposite of Bad Buddy. It looked at all the previous Thai BLs and said “I can do worse!” If it weren’t for the side pairings I would’ve dropped it. Filled to the brim with every bad BL trope you can think of it really cranks up the cringe-o-meter but then again it was all so ridiculous and trashy that it was funny. (Also, I will forever stay mad about how Ryan got the absolute worst dub in existence and then got kicked off the show.)
Kpop ship compilations
Listen, Kpop and BL are inseparably linked in my head forever now. From actor/idol friendships to idols starring in BLs themselves to Kpop fanfiction being adapted into BLs - there is no way I could ever separate these two. So including this just makes sense to me. Top ships I enjoyed this year were: Chanlix, Minsung, Jilix, Changjin (all Stray Kids), Woosan (Ateez), every possible BTS ship you can imagine but particularly Jikook, Sope, Hopekook and Yoonmin, and most recently Yeonbin (TXT).

tagged by @praninlove thanks quan!! 💗
1: your all time favourite bl and why:
i’m going to say two: bad buddy and manner of death. i don’t think i have to explain why i love bad buddy so much after my very evident, and very on-going brainrot. bad buddy is simply how nanon described it: extraordinarily ordinary. p’aof took all the cliched romcom tropes and did them right. thankyou!!! maxtul in manner of death were absolutely bang on. literally nobody could have done those roles better than them. and i loved that we got a bl not in the romance genre which was executed so, so well. plus i have a maxtul bias so 😋
2: that one bl that scarred you for life:
i don’t think there is any. i saw a lot of my mutuals losing their minds over itsay but unfortunately i never got around to finishing that show so :/ but i will mention one bl that just made me want to flip a table: 2moons 2. god. i hated that one so much and idk if this is an unpopular opinion but it just…didn’t give me anything???? i thoroughly disliked it i don’t think i’ve disliked any bl as much as this one
3: bl that made you feel very single:
i’m going to say 2g/s2g and bad buddy because…have you looked at them???? right in front of my fckn salad 😩😩😩
4: if you could change one thing from a bl, which one would it be?
the whole thing with knock’s girlfriend being such a jerk in twm. idk it just seemed like bad and linear writing of female characters. also wai's "redemption" in bad buddy because there was none
5: your top five:
bad buddy, manner of death, gaya sa pelikula, atots, 2gether/dark blue kiss (yes that’s six, but pls take it 🙏🏽) i have a feeling that not me will soon be one of my favs as well 👀
6: that trashy bl that you lowkey like:
twm 👀 the storyline is written badly and knock’s gf is portrayed weirdly but listen…this is the show that made me fall in love with maxtul and their undeniable chemistry. i literally put myself through bad romance just for kornknock. did not watch tmw:tnc though because i got spoilers that they br*ak up and honestly it didn’t make sense to me
7: your favorite korean bl (it’s important we know):
uhhhh, so i haven’t really watched any korean bl properly, mostly because i just happened to not connect to them as deeply. i tried a few but gave up halfway through, sorry :((
8: but also your top 3 for kbls:
🤡
9: season 2? which one?
GSP!!!!!! vlad and karl’s story!!!!!! 😩💗 'meet you on the outside' my beloved <3 also my engineer season 2!!!!!! i miss ramking bigtime
10: a bunch of dramas will air soon. which ones are you the most excited for?
kinnporsche, definitely. i’ve been buzzed about this one ever since the 9 mins long trailer came out back in 2020 and i haven’t stopped. it’s going to be SO GOOD!!!! (they’ve been teasing us so hard, this cast 😩) also lol my username is preparation for this show
11: tag them!
@patspran @mrdumpling @liyazaki @pranparakul @pranpats @badprophetvx @tipnaree @wack-overflow @burninglilys @noppakaos @tontawantu @lovepattranite @pranpat @sunsetandthemoon 💛 (no pressure obviously)

OK OK, I’m trying to avoid mentally catastrophizing about some rl things that are taking a lot of time and energy but that I can do literally nothing else about for the rest of the weekend, so what better way to distract myself than with some whiskey (Fang Liang Dian on History 3: Trapped is not my only beloved Jack) and Bad Buddy Ep 2, Part 4/4? (And then I have to decide: Waikorn fic, WOH Ep 13 reax, or witchcraft? DECISIONS.) ANYWAY, this one should go somewhat faster than Part 2.3 did, but there’s still some interesting stuff going on, and I’m going to be slightly less mean to Pat. Admit it, I’m only mean when he deserves it.
Due diligence: I’ve seen the entire show, so this may probably will contain spoilers through the end of it. If you want to watch it unspoiled, drive on by for now and come back when you’ve finished watching all of the episodes.
OPEN ON: Fisheye view of Pat’s dad (THIS GUY OMG) standing outside the door of Pat’s room. Inside the room, there’s a mad scramble going on as Pran’s worst fear – getting caught with Pat – is about to come to fruition. Pat tries to hide Pran by stuffing him in the closet. Pran absolutely refuses to get in the closet. (:snorfle: I see what you did there, P’Aof.) Instead, Pat tosses him onto the bed so hard he rolls across it and down into the gap between the bed and the wall as Pat hisses at him, again, to hide, and Pran crawls under the bed as Pat runs for the door. There’s kind of a weird convo when Ming wants to know what took so long, Pat says he was in the bathroom, and Ming tells him not to be so obsessive about it. I … :hands: I got nothin’. Anyway, Ming brought Pat some soup, but he’s really here to push Pat to play more sports and win the music competition and most importantly, to maintain Ming’s reputation, which has some extra weight given what we learn about how Ming even made it to this same university in the first place, back in the day. Pat’s all, “ha ha, no pressure!” Ming’s all, “ha ha no, pressure! No, but really, all of my manhood and reputation and overcompensation and dick size rest on you out-competing everyone, ever, including that weirdo annoying kid next door who used to follow you around with his guitar like a creep after you took up drums.” Meanwhile Ming has sat down on the bed, practically on top of Pran, who’s still hiding underneath and has to slap a hand over his own mouth to keep from losing his shit, and I can’t really blame him. His face when Ming talks about him following Pat around and being jealous of Pat’s musical prowess is … it’s like he’s torn between two reactions, anger about being accused of being the tag-along when he’s the one who’s actually the songwriter and seems to do more with music, and mortification that, ugh, he was maybe that obvious about his crush on Pat. Ming takes a little detour to poke around in Pat’s sheets and accuse him of acting dodgy, and hey Ming, it’s because he’s got that weird kid next door hidden under his bed in preparation for later eps when that weird kid is going to rail the shit out of your son and make him happier than he’s ever been in his life, how d’ya like them apples? (I don’t have to be as mean to Pat when his dad is here to be a perfectly acceptable target, apparently.) Pat lies and tells his dad that he doesn’t know if Pran’s also going to be in the music competition. He also tells Ming not to be mean about Pran. Ming responds by smack-talking Pran’s entire family, including saying they should all have just moved away when Pran was transferred, which makes it sound a little bit like Pran transferred in disgrace – which we’ll see in just a few minutes that he did, but only with his mom, it’s not like he was knocked up and facing general social opprobrium. Under the bed, Pran’s getting madder, and Pat, who apparently does have some sense of shame, is looking more uncomfortable. He asks his dad again to please stop. Ming’s phone fortunately rings, and it’s Pat’s mom, who like Pran’s dad, never does seem to get a name. Under the bed, Pran is getting a little bit glossy-eyed, and he’s clearly remembering why it’s a terrible idea to have anything to do with Pat. Ming finally gets the hell out, while reminding Pat to use protection when he brings girls over – Pat’s response is to tell MING to use protection, and good for him.
Anyway, Pat closes the door on Ming and turns around to find Pran already out from under the bed, and Pran is just … he’s done. Game over. Not in an angry way, just in this exhausted way that leaves him looking so tired and defeated. Pat tries to apologize, and Pran tries to be a brave little toaster, telling Pat that it’s OK, even though he sounds absolutely miserable, and I’m mentally yelling at Pat to get there faster, because this Pran needs Ep 10 Pat to wrap him up in a blanket and hold him and maybe feed him some soup (but not the soup Pat’s dad brought, because screw that guy AND his soup), but Pat’s not there, yet. He’s making an effort, but I don’t think he understands himself well enough yet to be able to help Pran here. Meanwhile, Pran tells him that Ming was right, apologizes for causing him trouble (as a callback to the argument they were having in 2.3 before Ming showed up in the first place, when Pran angrily accused Pat of saying that Pran was the cause of trouble, and now Pran’s just taking it onto himself, so thanks for the A++ parenting that led him to that particular brand of conflict-avoidance, Dissaya), and says that he’s moving out before he walks out. He’s so done, it’s like he’s got no reserves left. Pat protests but doesn’t really try to stop him. We see a quick shot of Pran back in his own room, gamely holding it together, but I suspect the frowny-face sticky note is making an appearance.
Cut to the next day, we see Pat having lunch with Pa, telling her that the “girl” across the hall was Pran, about their argument, and about how Pran put on a sad puppy face and told Pat that Pat was the reason he needed to move out. I … am not entirely sure that’s exactly what happened, Pat, but that’s an interesting interpretation of Pran blaming you for everything when we literally just saw him taking the blame on himself. Pa meanwhile is keeping Pat fed by spooning part of her own lunch into his bowl while – I’m just going to point out – wearing a brown ribbon in her hair, and just remember that. It’s a small but significant point. Pa verbally dissects Pat, telling him that he tries to act like he didn’t do anything wrong, but then why is he here confessing to her, all guilty and stuff? She advises him to clear the air with Pran before things end badly, like last time. Afterward, we see Pat walking past a school that’s going to FINALLY give us a flashback and explain what Pran did that was so awful he had to be sent away. First some shots of a high school classroom, with the teacher announcing that Pran will be the vocalist for the class’s band in the Christmas Day music contest. Teen Pat looks over at teen Pran. Teen Pran turns to look back at him. Teen Pat smiles slightly. Cut to the Christmas Day music contest. Teen Pran, teen Pat and two other guys are a four-man band, and Pran announces their new song, before swooping into our first marketing tie-in song. Teen Pat, on the drums, keeps looking over at teen Pran as teen Pran plays his guitar and sings. Teen Pran turns around to look at teen Pat, and it’s like the gd sun has risen on his face, he’s so happy. Cut to Pran’s parents stalking in. Dissaya is NOT happy. The music stalls. Cut to Pran’s face, looking stricken at getting caught with Pat. He turns to look at Pat again. Pat’s standing at the drumset now, just looking back at him. Pran takes off his guitar and runs away. Dissaya continues to glare at Pat. So, I think this scene is important for more than just the information we finally get about what got Pran sent to boarding school. This is a reflection of the scene in Pat’s room after Ming left when Pran was completely, utterly miserable, and Pat didn’t know what to do about it – this high school incident is the first time Pran is breaking down and Pat can’t save him - and it’s simultaneously a foil to the Ep 10 rooftop scene when Pran is completely, utterly miserable and breaking down, and he turns around, and Pat’s there. But we have a lot of work to do, first.
Anyway, more flashback shows Pat coming into the music room at some point later and talking about Pran’s transfer with the other two guys in the band. Pat says he has no idea where Pran has gone, which is possibly a lie, depending on timeline. The secondary backup band hobbits accuse Pat of being the reason Pran’s in the mess that he’s in. Which, sure, Dissaya clearly DOES NOT like Pat and his family, but also Pran’s a big boy and made some of his own decisions to interact with Pat to whatever extent, but ALSO it’s ridiculous to tell either of these kids that they’re responsible for the dysfunctional bullshit that their families are heaping on them. But I don’t necessarily expect a bunch of high school kids to have that complex a grasp on all of the issues involved, so whatever. One of the guys specifically tells Pat that he’s Pran’s bad luck, again echoing Pat and Pran’s argument in 2.3, although with it turned around on Pat, and they also emphasize to Pat that, if it wasn’t for him, Pran wouldn’t have to move. So we can see why Pran saying he’ll move is going to hit a nerve for Pat in present day, even if his initial response was to be defensive about it to Pa. More flashback shows Pat walking by what looks like the same school that triggered this flashback in present day, so I guess Pran can’t have been transferred that far away; we and Pat see Pran and his parents coming out of the school’s office and Pran’s parents leaving him there. Pran looks over and sees Pat. Pran still looks like he’s about to cry, and Pat looks a little bit like a deer in the headlights. They continue to look at each other from across a room and a million miles away. End flashback. Present-day Pat looks thoughtful.
Cut to present-day Pran checking out a new room, poking around and inspecting stuff where he’s been left alone while the rental agent helps someone else. His phone rings and he checks the display, rolls his eyes and ignores it, but when he turns around, Pat’s poking his head through the doorway, because it’s not Pran’s room – even his potential room – if Pat’s not breaking down Pran’s barriers and pushing his way in. Pat wants to know why Pran’s been playing hard to get – this is literally how this is translated, I don’t know how true to the original Thai it is – because Pran hasn’t been taking his calls. Pran doesn’t want to talk to him, is why, but Pat – of course – comes in anyway, because he lives to knock down Pran’s walls. He tells Pran that he (Pat) will be the one moving out and explains this is because he doesn’t want to owe Pran anything. He already owes him for saving Pa’s life and for that time when Pran got transferred because of Pat. These are Pat’s words, and oh my god, children, you are killing me – you should not be accepting responsibility for any of your parents’ dysfunctional bullshit. Anyway, Pat wants to move this time, and they can call it even. Which, I’m’a be frank, doesn’t actually sound like a great deal. For Pran, at least. It sound like Pat would be getting off hella easy. Pran looks miserable again for about half a second before he’s like, waitaminit, and Nanon’s expression shifts as Pran goes obstinate. He again insists on moving out and admits – OUT LOUD – that it’s because he wants Pat to keep feeling guilty. I literally cackle. I love you SO MUCH, you petty little spiky hedgehog. You are the BEST DUMPLING, and you fill me with glee. (Glee dumpling!) Pat whines about how hard Pran has to make everything (I … am not saying anything, and certainly not anything off-color). Pat insists that he’s the one moving out because he said so, so there. (Oh, well, if you say so, Mr. Bigshot.) Pran flops himself onto the bed, and this is the point when Pat lays hands on him, trying to pull him up and out of the room, and of course we can all see where this is going, because AO3 exists and we’ve all read this story 1,367 times across 42 fandoms. (AND IT NEVER GETS OLD.) Pat basically tells Pran to give up because he (Pat) is stronger, and Pran decides to get his own back for being tossed on the bed during their earlier mad scramble to hide from Ming. He grabs Pat around the neck and practically body slams him onto the mattress before crawling on top of him, because that’s not going to be awkward at all. (I have to say that I do love the equal opportunity manhandling in this relationship, I think it’s one of the fantastic things about this pairing, and the way the show leans into it is a major strength.) There’s some tussling, and some arguing, and then Pran continues to play dirty by tickling, and then suddenly their faces are very close, and everything stops except for their panting breaths, and there are some italicized oh moments happening, and we are thisclose to getting a kiss this early in the game, and then the rental agent ruins it by opening the door. She insists someone else has rented the place and tells them to get out and fuck on their own mattress. Pran is highly indignant. Pat is super amused. Outside, waiting for the elevator, they continue to bicker, because Pat insists that this clears their slate because he was willing to move out, even if he didn’t, and Pran rightly insists that this is the most ridiculous thing he’s ever heard. They’ve kind of descended into “You’re dumb,” “No, you’re dumb,” “No, you,” by the time the elevator opens, and then Pran almost closes the elevator doors on Pat, so they argue about that. Elevator doors finally close on Pat’s revenge.
Cut to night. Bus stop. Wai and the secondary backup Architecture hobbits are throwing down with Korn and the secondary backup Engineering hobbits. The show drops us into the middle of it, without any indication of who started it or why, but everybody is clearly pissed. Louis is pummeling the shit out of Mo on the ground (GOOD). Safe and Chang are trying to knee each other in the groin. Wai and Korn are throwing punches. Flashback to the previous incident at the bus stop when Pran got everyone to stop fighting with his fairytale of Arch and En building the bus stop pavilion together, and how it’s supposed to be a place of truce. Remember why he was so adamant about stopping that fight? Yeah. So now, along with all the punching, that security camera is going to capture Korn kicking Wai into the lighted bus stop sign - destroying it in the process - Korn flying backward through the wall of the bus stop, and the entire structure falling over. Which does stop the fight, so there’s that.
And scene.
Next time on Bad Buddy: Architecture takes the rap, and Pat invites Pran up to his room anytime.

im late to the battle but you best believe i come strapped with enough ammo to blast the haters into outer space
mj. knowing you and screaming at/with you has been the highlight of my fandom experience. i won't forget how you first reached out to me all those months ago (probably having seen me losing my shit in the tags) with something like "i admire your passion for word of honor and wenzhou bc i feel like you're one of the few people who feels for them as deeply as i do". i used to be too chicken shit to interact with anyone on here so it really meant a lot to me and im SO SO GLAD i made a friend of YOU!!! ❤️💙
it's been a wild ride since then. my memories of the devil judge days are inextricably tied to you, my yohan. it was a wonderful high and we rode it together, being total crackheads about it
then there was a promise what now feels like forever ago that we were going to be insufferable about bad buddy together when it started airing and BOY does insufferable not even begin to cover it. i wouldn't know what to do with myself if i couldn't transition from screaming at the end credits to screaming in your inbox/DMs
mj. your mind and soul shine brighter than anon would ever be able to handle. your passion and enthusiasm for the things you love is like a brilliant flame that so many like me can't help but be drawn to. i am floored every single time i see you go off in the tags. like HOLY SHIT HOW MANY BRAINCELLS DOES THIS WOMAN HAVE. you're also incredibly funny and serve exactly my brand of crack. and everytime you call me beloved i need to be strapped to an oxygen tank no kidding 🥺
in conclusion, i love you and you deserve the greatest of things and im sending you all the hugs and positivity ❤️💙
i want you to know that every time we would get some news about bad buddy, that the script was ready, that they were doing workshops, that they had started/ended filming, that ohmnanon had given an interview saying that it’d air soon, when we got the airing date and official trailer….. every single time i’d think to myself, “i can’t wait to be insufferable about this show with cheems!!!”
it was truly a promise to me and one that i love keeping, a show that i absolutely love sharing with you and i wouldn’t have it any other way.
some day i’ll be an old lady talking to my three cats about the time i watched bad buddy and you can be sure i’ll be mentioning you.
fuck okay. let me organize my thoughts. i’m crying now. you blasted the haters AND me into outer space 😭😭😭😭
yes! i read some of your tags about woh at the time and i felt really connected to you. i loved feeling that close to someone through the simple act of loving a show so entirely. i’m glad woh gave us that because you instantly felt like an old friend to me and everything we shared from that moment on was also the highlight of my fandom experience 💕💕💕
I AM YOUR YOHAN AND YOU ARE MY GAON!! PERMANENTLY!!! how lucky are we to share so many obsessions? what’s up with us? are our three braincells holding onto each other to survive? wouldn’t doubt that akdjskkd
🥺🥺🥺🥺 you’re the sweetest! but we both know i don’t have any braincells left alksksks but i make up for that with many many MANY heartcells and every insane thing i say comes from my insane heart. and that only happens because i’m inspired by wonderful people like you and wonderful shows like woh and bb!!!
because yes, you are my beloved friend, my beloved mutual, my beloved companion of obsessions, simply my beloved who’s always incredibly kind and nice to me. you’ve taught me so much throughout these months and my sense of humor comes a lot from you okay aldkkskd like we’re slowly growing old together on this hellsite.
anyways!! thank you SO much for this insanely beautiful ask (made me cry about eight times. you and p’aof want me Dead), for having an insanely big heart and more importantly, for sharing some of your time and passion with me. what we have is priceless!! and that anon can never even begin to compare to your impact in my life. they can only wish!
i love you so so so much and i’m eternally grateful for your friendship ❤️💙

you ever feel like you just NEED your cute childhood frenemy to confront you on a rooftop, as you gaze wistfully at them, they watch a single tear fall from your face, they ask if you should be friends and you reply, why, do you want us to be friends? and they reply with the softest, most heart wrenching “no” and you melt and step closer and share the most epic of kisses. he holds your face and you hold his. you see stars, as bright as his smile and he smiles so so beautifully at you when you break apart but it just makes your heart hurt because his parents and your parents hate each other so you have already deduced that you two can never be together so you just wallow in self misery, sobbing, and walk away?
Just me? k cool thx bye

I knew we would see THE SLUTS™️ again

Read a post @wen-kexing-apologist about the internalized homophobia Phupha holds inside over these four episodes and how he is careful in his outward love of Tian in public and it - ughh makes so much sense - and I noticed Phupha’s love (/Earths acting) was a lot louder when they were alone (representing the queer journey for MANY people) and i just — WOW
Also tentative small touches, hands, feet, closeness as the queer experience; P’aof is saying so much with so little
This kiss was 💜BEAUTIFUL💜 also this counts as A MAKE OUT IN THE WOODS
Tumblr media
gay cuddles are so precious to me ahhhh
Phupha you can’t just say “on a scale of 1-10 how would you rate me” and not credit Pat, but also they are NOT patpran because tian gives his man an 11/10, also the nong nao sleep mask is in the shot showing us just how much patpran influenced phuphatian…something something older gays vs younger gays
mix’s look of love™️ gave me such a dopamine rush

hot damn earth is hot 🥵
