“Do you mind?” Steven asked, sifting through some VHS tapes he had in a box by the TV. You shook your head.

“As long as I get to hold you in my arms, I don’t care what some old British narrator is going to be rambling about in a nature doc.” You teased, watching him select a tape and kneel over to put it into the TV. It slid in with a click, and with a series of groans and whirs from the TV the title screen appeared. Steven returned to your side on the couch while you clicked Play on the remote.

Tonight was going to be a slow evening. It was just what Steven needed, and just what you wanted.

Somewhere in the introduction to the documentary-something about livestock in Ancient Egypt-Steven slumped over onto your shoulder. Somewhere in the middle of the documentary-something about, well, you didn’t care at this point-You laid down on the couch. And eventually, at the end of the documentary, Steven was laying atop you on the couch. You held him there securely with your arms wrapped around him, kissing the top of his head every now and again.

As your interest waned so did the documentary, finishing with some rolling credits and the production names, leading to the black screen. You could see your reflection in it, of Steven’s back against your chest as you played with his hair, his hands fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.

“Wow, that was fascinating,” Steven remarked. You hummed in agreement.

“Yeah, I liked the part when your head hit my shoulder.”

“I meant the movie.”

“I know, Steven.”

He smiled as you two laid there, enjoying the rising and falling of your chest in unison with his. His head tilted to wherever your hand was as you played with his hair, and everything felt right.

“Rough day, huh?” You asked rhetorically, but he nodded nonetheless.

“The voice has only been getting louder,” Steven admitted.

“Well then tell the voice I’ll kick his ass.” You teased, one of your hands tracing along his arm. You both knew it didn’t work like that, but Steven smiled at your kind words either way.

The hand on his arm relocated itself onto his abdomen, tracing along the hem of his shirt. Steven shifted, your hand moving along with him and briefly grazing below his stomach. He drew in a sharp breath and settled his movements. You returned your hand to where it was when he reacted so beautifully, and he stifled a whimper in his throat, progressively getting drier as your hand reached lower.

“How about I get rid of some of your tension from today? Would you like that, pretty boy?” You whispered against his ear. He shivered and nodded.

“Yeah, I’d like that, please,”

You bit your lip when he said that. “Say that again.” You commanded.

“Please.”

“Yeah, just like that.” You sighed as you undid his belt, your hands progressively getting shakier in anticipation. You steeled yourself to calm down.

“Please, please touch me.”

“I’m getting to that, pretty boy, I’m getting to that. Be a good boy and be patient.” You muttered lowly as you slid his belt off, letting it hit the floor as you unzipped his pants and pulled them down just enough to show his briefs. He was hard already, making your job all the easier.

“There we go, that’s it.” You praised as he whined, pulling the elastic of his underwear down above his knees, as far as you could reach with him on top of you. He was getting hard just by your low, sensual rambles already, and you reveled in the idea you could do this to him so easily.

Episode 6 spoilers!! Play at your own risk!

I genuinely cannot go a single episode without praising Oscar Isaac.

Like???? The slight flinch that shows how Marc transitions into Steven? The quick change in accents and facial expressions? The overall shift in the aura as Steven fronts???

And here too? The transition from an extremely confused Marc to a very worried Steven? The way his furrowed brows shifted to a more surprised position? The way his eyes ALONE expressed these types of emotions so clearly, that one would know Marc apart from Steven without even having to look at their armor?

And HERE?? THIS ENTIRE SCENE?? God DAMN.

And!!! Jake lockley, baby! He gives off a completely different aura from Steven and Marc. (I can’t add more photos because of the tumblr media limit 💀)

Moon Knight

Moon Knight is an underrated character who's been around since the mid-70's, but has only recently gotten the more attention he deserves since the Disney+ adaptation. However, I am a firm comics supremacy believer and can attest he is even cooler in the comics. The current run (Moon Knight 2021) is the best he's been written in quite some time for example, as it's friendly to veteran fans and new fans alike!

Moon Knight is not your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man; he will fuck you up if you deserve it, and benefits from the fact that many villains are terrified of him.

Moon Knight is canonically Jewish, and though he is non-practising, it plays a major part in his story and identity.

It's also worth noting that Moon Knight has DID, with three identities: Marc Spector (host), Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley.

He's such an interesting and compelling character. The comics have spawned countless hilarious memes (I know you're here Dracula you big nerd wheres my money; random bullshit go; etc). The show was amazing, and Oscar Isaac acted his ass off

They are so cool; they're both canonically Jewish and have DID

One of the most unique superheroes out there due to being plural. Really cool, too.

I love him, your honor. I'd like to say more but the truth is I only watched the show and I will leave the propaganda to comics fans.

Oh, God. The Behind the Scenes of Marvel Streaming Productions is a nightmare. Marvel Studios (not the same division that ran Marvel TV) tried to re-invent the wheel:

They did away with 'showrunners' and only hired Head writers

And then apparently did away with it, too because then Marvel fired the writers and let the Directors have a say.

And then didn't stick with that too, and apparently just went on with the philosophy that they can fix it 'in post'

Some Quotes from this:

Those who work with Marvel on the TV side have complained of a lack of central vision that has, according to sources, begun to afflict the studio’s shows with creative differences and tension. “TV is a writer-driven medium,” says one insider familiar with the Marvel process. “Marvel is a Marvel-driven medium.” On the Oscar Isaac starrer Moon Knight, show creator and writer Jeremy Slater quit and director Mohamed Diab took the reins. Jessica Gao developed and wrote She-Hulk: Attorney at Law but was sidelined once director Kat Coiro came on board. Production was challenging, with COVID hitting cast and crew, and Gao was brought back to oversee postproduction, a typical showrunner duty, but it’s the rare Marvel head writer who has such oversight.

And then it went overboard in Secret Invasion -- Just in case we're all wondering why it was so bad? It's because of all the behind-the-scenes shenanigans.

--during the pandemic, Marvel stepped outside its usual staffing approach and brought in outside execs after years of internally promoting creatives who had been sufficiently trained in the Marvel method. This change was felt most severely on Secret Invasion, the Samuel L. Jackson-led thriller that stands as Marvel’s worst-reviewed series. Kyle Bradstreet, a writer and executive producer on USA Network Emmy winner Mr. Robot, had been working on the scripts for Secret Invasion for about a year when he was fired after Marvel decided on a different direction. Enter new writer Brian Tucker, who penned the crime thriller Broken City. Thomas Bezucha, who helmed the thriller Let Him Go, and Ali Selim, who worked on Hulu’s 9/11 drama The Looming Tower, were on board as directors and to help crack the story. So far, so normal, at least by Marvel’s creative development standards. Details are murky, but what happened next, in the summer of 2022, debilitated the production as factions became entrenched and leaders vied for supremacy during Secret Invasion’s preproduction in London. “It was weeks of people not getting along, and it erupted,” says an insider. Marvel declined to directly comment on the matter.

By early September, a good portion of the Invasion team had been replaced, with new line producers, unit production managers and assistant directors. And Bezucha, who was supposed to direct three episodes, left the show because of new scheduling conflicts. The Marvel executive overseeing the show, Chris Gary, was reassigned and, according to sources, is expected to depart Marvel when his contract is up at the end of the year.

NO WONDER SECRET INVASION WAS A MESS.

As it moves forward, Marvel is making concrete changes in how it makes TV. It now has plans to hire showrunners. Gao’s postproduction work on She-Hulk helped Marvel see that it would be helpful for its shows to have a creative throughline from start to finish. “It’s a term we’ve not only grown comfortable with but also learned to embrace,” says Winderbaum of showrunners and Marvel TV’s intention to hire them. The studio also plans on having full-time TV execs, rather than having executives straddle both television and film.

JFC. THERE'S A REASON WHY SHOWRUNNERS ARE A THING.

There's also a reason why Wandavision was so good-- because it had one singular vision from start to finish -- Jac Schaffer and Elizabeth Olsen's vision.

It also is revamping its development process. Showrunners will write pilots and show bibles.

Marvel trying to reinvent the wheel AND THEN FAILING SPECTACULARLY.

And then realizing there's a reason why Showrunners exist, and writer's rooms, show bibles, and even pilots.

I can't even.

Also, let's be clear -- Disney - Marvel used 'Headwriter' and not 'Showrunner' for corporate greed reasons, and I'm glad WGA got a fair deal because fuck that 'Headwriter' nonsense.

Someone replied (then blocked, so I had to go incognito to find it): remember when this site didn’t get horny over nazis?

First of all, it was solely about his looks and appearance. Regardless of what you think of Kylo Ren (a fictional character) this wasn't about him. It was about the appearance of Adam Driver vs. Oscar Isaacs and John Boyega.

Second, Kylo Ren isn't a Nazi, because Kylo Ren exists in a fictional universe. He has never, to my recollection, displayed any hint of white supremacy, homophobic attitudes, or anything else Nazis stood for.

Third, the arc of Kylo Ren Ben Solo is incredibly important to me. He was an abuse victim, groomed from birth by Snoke via the Force. He was assumed to be evil because of his lineage. His lineage which was hidden from him. And he woke up in middle of the night to find his uncle--a man that he loved and trusted, both as a family member and a teacher--about to fucking murder him. When he was a teenager. When he was a fucking child.

(His uncle, by the way, who never apologizes for trying to murder him.)

He continues to be abused by Snoke as he gets older, torn apart because of the conflict within him--the dark that he tries to embrace, because he feels as though it's his only choice, and the light that he feels he doesn't deserve. He became a monster because that's how he was treated.

And yet.

There was good in him. There was always good in him. And finally, finally someone sees it. Someone tells him that he is good. He is worthy of love. He is not owed forgiveness, he is not exempt from the horrors he's committed, but nonetheless, he is still worthy of love. He has done monstrous things, but he is not a monster.

And do you understand how important that statement is? To people who have hurt others? To people who have been hurt by others?

I got into Star Wars in 2016, about a year after I cut my dad off for Reasons. He hurt me and has never showed any sign of apology, or any interest in reconnecting. But in 2016, Ben Solo's inevitable redemption arc gave me hope that... maybe he would. Maybe there was a possibility that my dad would redeem himself. It offered me hope that someone who had been very important to me might realize he hurt me. And... that helped me through a hard time in my life.

I was also struggling with the fact that I'd made some stupid decisions when I was younger and said some stupid stuff, and it helped me realize that I wasn't defined by that either. I could grow and change, and be better than the person I had been.

I don't "simp for fictional Nazis." I relate to the story of a manipulated kid who ended up realizing that he was more than that. A story about growth and redemption resonated with me during a time when I needed it.

Honestly, if you look at Ben Solo and all you see is "fictional Nazi" then... that's a you problem. And if you look at Adam Driver's large nose and ears, crooked teeth, and pockmarked skin and think there's something wrong with me for finding that attractive?

Then I'm really not sure what to tell you there.

like not even lying the mere fact that there's discourse declaring oscar isaac/pedro pascal white is so fucking indicitive of how race is changing in the US for the worse lmfao. race is such a social construct and in the last like 10 years "white" has come to mean anyone with light skin and that's just... not how that works. at all. but it's upsetting because it also is. "white" has only existed as a concept for a few hundred years to uphold white supremacy and the more white people shrink, the more they expand and absorb other people into "white" without giving the full benefit of whiteness. idk. it's just ridiculous.

Layla supremacy

I already finished watching Moon Knight, I was so amazed by Oscar Isaac's performance on Moon Knight especially when he played two characters. Well, spoiler alert, three characters, but we haven't seen the continuous from Jake Lockley, I really hope that they'll tell us more. Especially from episode 5, in which Marc had an unhealed traumatic childhood, they really showed the depth of the main character, although it was such a rush for them to end it in episode 6, at least they ended it well done and still got us excited if I'm being honest the characters and the story are such a breath of fresh air.

I hope there’s a renewal season for Moon Knight.
