If you already aren't getting your security deposit back you could dump grease down the drains, leave nails and nailholes everywhere in the walls, release a snake into the ventilation system. i think if you grew up in my household you would have put a gun to my mom and dad's heads already
#help i came home and they got so ballistic that i didnt say hi to them#after my 9 months of driving myself home and entering the house from work not once have they urged a greeting out of me#why the hell do they care now???#like mom got so mad and i was like um ok * goes back to watching danny gonzalez * then i get shouted at to come to parents room#and im like siiiighhh let me put on my jacket i know this will be a while#and im just getting yelled at and standing there like. is the song and dance over yet. can i get back to my computer#and my dad is like your MOM and I DONT TREAT YOU GUYS LIKE THAT#and im just in my head like.....you give us greetings rather than treating us like human beings.....ok....i would prefer the respect rather#than the greetings....#and my dads like whenever I come home I always greet everyone#and its like. yeah ? i can think of a few times where you havent but it doesnt matter when its you right#oh you can come home and greet everyone yeah but can you treat us with respect? are you capable of not having everyone groan when they hear#your car horn that indicates you're home? do you have the ability to not make everyone hide and vacate to their rooms when they hear your#key unlocking the door? no? then i dont care about the fact you can say hi to everyone#and mom is like lecturing me and my sister about not cleaning as well and its like hi what about your husband#hi maybe you should question why we cant clean our rooms#maybe its the fact you never taught us how to organize or how often to clean? did you know you've never taught us how to properly clean?#did you know i cant clean without a timer? are you aware that your eldest daughter that gives you attitude and promised to be mean when#she's taking care of you in your last years of life doesnt clean whatsoever? the 26 year old that acts just like your husband? the one whos#only chore is to wash dishes and doesnt even do that? she complains shes too tired because of work but even on her off days she doesnt do i#? do you remember that she only does the dishes when she's going out with a boy? do you remember the 3 months where i took it upon myself t#do everyones chores because i had the time? the way you dont acknowledge i helped out a lot during that time and helped keep peace through#the house by doing that? you dont because you love to focus on the negatives and as a result you make your own life miserable#and everyone else's?especially mine because im the one who actually feels guilt? but dont do it bc im tired of doing someone else's work?

My commentary on the Fulton County shenanigans is that fucking with poll workers should absolutely get you in heaps of trouble. Also more people should volunteer to poll work. It is absolutely an point of failure that fascists can game because most SOE offices are desperate for volunteers. Also you get paid.
#lene and things#most poll workers I know are old black ladies#and poll working days start extremely early and can end extremely late#at least a 15 hour day#I’ve already gotten the phone call to do 2024#like they called me in advance#most first timers I work with quit#the day is long and people are either mean#or blatantly out to intimidate#but i do it so some proud boy or w/e doesn’t show up to fuck with ppl trying to vote#edit: ok i realized my last tags were kinda painting the wrong picture#when voting starts and when voting ends there's definitely a rush#but for the most part it's generally chill#sometimes things happen but i wouldn't describe it as extremely challenging

I have to leave for my shift in 15 minutes and even tho it's only gonna be 4.5 hours long I really don't wanna go
#I've been dreading the shift all day#it's definitely bc the shitty manager is gonna be closing most nights in the next two weeks#and tomorrow I have a feeling she's gonna try to make me cover a lunch when I literally cannot#my file boss is on vacation this week while she moves house (she just sold her old place and is moving to an interim apartment)#so it's just me and the other part timer#so we have to pick up the 'slack' (we're all great and efficient at our jobs but two part timers picking up the work of a full timer)#anyways if she tries to get me to cover the lunch I'm not gonna be able to bc I have not only my own tags but I have to do the signs#plus hbc and gos knows what else#I know Loren will be able to do a lot bc she has more file hours than me but it's still just the two of us#and Thursday is gonna be only her so I don't wanna leave her with a lot#I just don't wanna deal with the queen of the cunts

So I’m kinda new to liking doctor strange and ever since I’ve joined the fandom I’ve been getting a lot of horrible comments/messages from people on here. Including death threats. I feel like I’m not welcome here. Could u give me any advice on how to deal with it as it’s making me quite upset.
Wow, I can't even imagine such a thing--perhaps I've always been lucky. Been here 9+ years, and my experience has been nearly 100% positive. I'm so sorry you've had to endure such hateful attention!
I'm far from an expert on navigating tumblr (I remain intentionally oblivious about a lot of stuff that is extraneous to the fun I'm here to have, which I think has been key to my enjoyment here), but I can offer a few suggestions:
You have complete control of curating your experience. Don't feel pressured to follow popular blogs because they're popular. There's no path to happiness in that. Seek out like minded blogs, and jettison any controversial ones.
Because I've made this my primary social media, I made the decision at the start not to blog about social or political issues, or anything similarly devisive. Try and stick to what you love best (esp. as it's Doctor Strange🥰) and let other people attend to matters of social consciousness. Real life has more than enough opportunities for you to march to the beat of your conscience!
The Block option and shutting down anonymous Asks can be your two closest friends here--so don't be shy about using them. A third tool, to counter the stress you might experience in your feed, is blocking tags; I'm a latecomer to that myself, and it has been a godsend recently. You just need to be thorough about picking the tags to block, because they are likely multiple versions people may use.
Lastly, and this is an extreme move - change your URL...OR...set up another blog (I think you may need a new email address for that) and start fresh, following only those blogs and tags that bring you joy.
Again, I'm so sorry that your experience has been difficult and dismal thus far. By trying a couple of these suggestions, you may see a wonderful turn around - in which you see a great preponderance of the handsomest and most magnificent hero in the MCU...and of course, the brilliant Actor that plays him.
