ahh okay! lmao!

Jack and i had our gender reveal planned and ready when we went in for our fourteen week ultrasound, however the baby was not having it. they refused to let the technician see a clear enough shot. so we waited.

we had the small get together set to happen in five weeks and our child was proving to be as stubborn as their father. we went to the ultrasound technician weekly to try and find out the gender and it wasn’t until the eighteenth week scan that the technician was able to get a clear picture and be confident in the sex of our baby.

pre-season has just started and Jack was able to receive permission to use the Devils practice rink for the get together. Ellen and Jim flew in a couple days ago, and Quinn was able to escape between pre-season games and arrive yesterday, and now the moment is here.

Jack has been bouncing of the walls all morning and twice i’ve had to smack his hand away from the box holding the colored powder filled pucks that his mother bought for the reveal.

we currently stand on the ice of the practice rink, about to tell them how we’re doing our reveal, as Ellen is the only one who knows.

“so, we wanted to have someone close to us slap-shot a puck, that will then release blue or pink powder.” i explain.

“however, it was kind of a hard decision to make because we didn’t wanna single out a brother, and we both have some pretty close friends on this team.” Jack carried on. Nico, Dawson, and John all smirk, knowing he was referring to them, which causes everyone else to laugh.

“so, instead, if we could have Quinn Luke, Nico, Dawson, and John come out on the ice please?”

the five guys skate on the ice, stopping in a group beside us.

“you each get a puck at random. there are three of one color, and two of the other. only my mom knows which color has three, but whichever one it is, tells us if we’re having a boy or a girl.” Jack tells them, making them nod in understanding.

“mom, hand out the pucks!” Jack cheers and i giggle at his enthusiasm.

Ellen skates over with the box, letting each guy pick out a puck before they all stand in a line, setting their pucks down gently on the ice and waiting for the go ahead.

Jack and i skate over to the wall, standing with our hands together and our backs against the glass.

“okay, from left to right, one at a time-” i yell, looking over at Jack to finish the sentence.

“let’s go, baby!”

Nico goes first, smacking the puck with the stick he was given by Ellen. blue powder shoots from the puck and everyone ‘oohh’s. i squeeze Jack’s hand once, resulting in a quick squeeze in return from him.

Quinn goes second, pink powder flying into the air from his and everyone jokingly ‘ahh’s.

John is next, slap-shotting the puck across the ice and making blue powder cover the white ice. Jack and i let out an in-sync exhale, growing more excited yet nervous by the second.

Dawson is up now, hitting the puck. pink powder coats the ice, even leaving some behind on his stick. i hold my breath, waiting for the last one.

it’s finally Luke, bringing his stick back and hitting the puck full force, pink powder shoots along the air as his puck hits the back of the practice net.

cheers hit my ears but i’m only paying attention to Jack. now cupping his face as we stare into each others glassy eyes.

“we’re having a girl.” i whisper. his hands grip my waist before one slides along to my stomach. pulling me in for a crushing kiss, his smile presses against mine.

we break apart as the cheering gets closer, our friends and family coming to join us in our celebration.

“my days are about to get a whole lot better.” Jack whispers back, laying his forehead against mine, our eyes closed. “just a couple months ago i vowed my love to you, and now i get to spend my life with two of you. i think i won.”

“better than the stanley cup?” i jokingly ask him, tears falling down my cheeks as i open my eyes while we pull away.

“so much better.”

What if Luka expects Hyuna to come like she did in his round with Mizi and he is plotting something.He has the trust of aliens,the love of the public and no one would suspect him to do something outside the box,far from the image he created of himself.Hyuna made her appearence in round 5 when we didn't expected it. If the round isn't entirely dedicated to Ivan and Till,this may be an option.He may confront Mizi and Hyuna,they may not be able to rescue Ivan and Till and not make it in time. Luka may not appear at all.

(Me overthinking things: OMG Akugetsu will cover Hyuna's song this must mean something | The other me: OMG I can't wait,this song literally suits him!)

(I like the style of your drawings,the way you use colors and the way you phrase things! When something about ALNST comes out I just wait for your updates! I can't imagine what will happen on tumblr when round 6 is out. And then all of us will wait for the next one over again XD)

Ok this is the worst joke I could ever make.

Oohh. Luka appearing in ROUND 6 would honestly be insane. I thought about him making an appearance in the short teaser scene before credits, but if he actually confronted anyone himself that would be so interesting. Imagine all 6 of them in the same episode... the same room... no way... the Alien Stage would be real...

Luka attempting to sabotage Mizi and Hyuna is such an intriguing concept. I do think he's figured out that Hyuna will be returning, he grew up with her, after all. He's most likely aware of her penchant for protecting people. He probably expects Mizi to come back for the only friends she has left, too. He couldn't do anything the first time he saw Hyuna after ROUND 5, but he might be more eager to get his hands on her now. If we get our first adult Hyuna and Luka interaction during ROUND 6 I'd actually go insane. as much as I hope for it though, I'm not sure whether or not it will actually happen. ROUND 6 already has a lot going for it. A final confession of love already makes for a heavy episode, but with Till's newly revealed backstory added to the mix? Mizi and Hyuna's attempt at a jailbreak? The whole video would probably need an entire week to be processed and even comprehended, especially if they want to go into extensive detail on each aspect. Still, though, if Luka interfered... if Mizi and Hyuna were unable to save anyone and had to defeatedly return to the rebellion base carrying the weight of their failure, well, I DON'T THINK I'D BE REACHABLE FOR AT LEAST 10 BUSINESS DAYS I'd have to go into hiding in order to cope with that. But who knows! The fun part about VIVINOS videos is that they're always gonna leave you fucked up in one way or another!

AKUGETSU COVERING ALL-IN. TILL COVERING HYUNA'S SONG. I've posted so many times about this day holy shit its finally real. It really does suit him! Do you think AKUGETSU is

1) hinting that Till is joining the rebellion

2) giving us the All-In cover as compensation for whatever bad thing is going to happen to Till

hehe just for you, 2 out of 3! and just cuz railroadkiss is very much still in its very primitive chicken scratch stage 😆 zeb_royalguard - this one was inspired by this one fanart I reblogged a while ago, of a young zeb in his royal guard outfit. (can't find it now, arrgh) Really loved the design, and made me want to try it out myself! BUT I made the mistake of going too hard on looking up references and ended up burning myself out pretty quickly haha but here's where I left it at, with a couple color variations to play with.

strawhats_doodles - pretty much what it says, various doodles of the crew! This ended up getting huge with sooo many layers so, picked out the ones that at least look semicoherent. Daily Hobie HC! He's good at dying hair like you cannot tell me otherwise. You want your hair dyed a certain colour? Get in the chair right now cus he's dying it. I feel like he'd also genuinely enjoy dying your hair, running his stained fingers through it gently as he rubs the colour in. As someone with very deep, thick, black hair, I feel like he'd add more colour to the top layers more so when the sun hits it just right, it's very vibrant You'd probably fall asleep with how gentle he's being on your hair, but then Hobie would wake you up by smearing some of the dye on your cheek with a mischievous chuckle. With washing off, as well, he'll sometimes splash your face with it or flick small droplets onto your face for fun. I mean, he always has to keep you on your toes. His fingers would be stained, glove or not, with the colour you used SOMEHOW....same with your face after he smeared it on you. I bet the finished product however looks beautiful, and all credits to Hobie Brown:) -🐦‍⬛

I hc that the different fleeces changes the lambs personality based on what it does for crusades and the name,which is why he always prefer the regular one cuz it doesn't affect him

OOHH I ACTUALLY LOVE THIS IDEA!!

Depending on which fleece he wears it can effect him in different ways, of course as the ability of the fleece but can also change the way he acts and physical changes as well!!

Like as an example; Fragile Fortitude can cause his wool to be much softer and his blood to run blue. Or the Diseased Heart fleece, where he grows weak fast and bleeds/cries black ichor!

As well as other small details like maybe eye color or horn shape!! I think it's a very fun idea to experiment with and would be so neat to draw out designs for!!

Oohh thank u!! Her favourite colour is orange, as she loves autumn and the colours of the leaves when they change. For an activity, she loves creating physical things! Hello, I've seen some of your merfolk stuff, and tbh it, along with other similar artwork has inspired me to make better art of merfolk by incorporating more of the original fish aspect of the tail to look like it fits with the human half (rather than making it look like you just stuck a fish and human together lmao) and while I'm trying my best with it, (mainly practicing with sketches till I make a design I like enough to fully draw and color) I can't quite seem to get it right? Any tips or examples you can give? Or maybe some art tutorials you can link? I'm pretty much a beginner artist but would love to learn how to be better!

Even if not I appreciate just the inspiration you've been to me!

hello! :0 and oohh merm tips? usually for me kinda don't think about the tail and 'human' half as separate things but as one whole? some things I like to keep in mind when I'm researching or sketching things out:

-scales/patterns/fins are a nice way to make the merm feel more cohesive! :0 (like the koi and leopard seal merm below for patterns) or to blend the human/fish part together more if you're doing a more standard merm. I also like using the fins for 'hair' sometimes.

-silhouette of the fish/sea critter (like do you want your merm to be on the classic side or absolutely funky or somewhere in the middle haha) for the most part sharks/a lot of fish/mammal merms fall under the classic merm category for me and when I get to non-fish/fish that aren't the standard shape I tend to have the most fun with those.

top row is pretty normal (koi, sockeye salmon, leopard seal)

middle row (lobster, horseshoe crab, feather pen) they're still pretty humanoid but the silhouette itself is more like the creature they're based off of.

third row (hula skirt siphonophore, hatchet fish, gulper eel) they're still merms but they're not particularly humanoid haHA.

I like drawing merms that also look like their counterpart in silhouette? which doesn't necessarily mean things will match up; like with the gulper eel merm I didn't want to make a merm with a big mouth and came up with her having these funky basket arms that she could 'gulp' or scoop up fish.

here's another example of that when I was drawing an anglerfish merm; at first thought of having usual the whole merm as the anglerfish and then thought it'd be fun if the merm was just the luminescent lure part haha.

hmmm basically it helps if you can incorporate little things/details you notice to the human half? my brain's kinda bouncing around right now haha/all I can think of for now but hope that was helpful anon! :0
