Some quietly influential musicians end up being like that thanks to the company they keep and which gives them the legitimacy that results in many people checking you. For instance, J.D. Souther might be one of those with a lot of famous friends, including The Eagles, who actually made a comeback by covering one of his songs and some of them also worked with him on his own LPs. Why shouldn't they, he's a solid songwriter and I'm sure the scene that surrounded him give him many benefits, including a variety of chances to hone his tunes. However, I get your questions – where's his quiet influence? Well, I would say he was not the main characters of his environment, he was a supporting one, yet the places would be less without them.

Next Wednesday, it will be March. Two months gone already! Naturally, it’s impossible to slow down time and, to be honest, I’m struggling to deal with these sands of time slipping away at an alarming rate. Don’t want to sound too morbid but I’ll be dead soon! No, I’m not ill but this is a fact. I’ll become a memory that becomes more distant by the day. You’ll have to read somebody else’s status. Or write your own. Now you know why I do so much. Now you know why I try to stay in contact with so many people.

My Instagram hacker got busy last night. Sending out begging letters to everyone that is STILL on that old profile. (Why are you STILL on that old profile?) People were sending me messages, “I think you’ve been hacked.” I was hacked LAST YEAR and told everyone to unfollow my old profile. The new profile is “wesker.lindsay”. If you don’t unfollow my old Instagram profile, you will continue receiving messages from the beggar. I told Instagram about my account being stolen and they did NOTHING!

Apologies for talking about race again but, yesterday, a black guy told me that his black friends weren’t interested in the ‘Elvis’ movie because of cultural appropriation. Wow, then they’d better stop listening to Adele, Ariana Grande, Teena Marie, Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Bob James, Jimmy Messina, Van Morrison, Average White Band, Boz Scaggs, David Bowie, The Doobie Brothers, Ed Sheeran, Eminem, Mac Miller, Post Malone, Lewis Taylor, Lisa Stansfield, Manhattan Transfer, Yvonne Elliman, KC & The Sunshine Band, Joss Stone, Moonchild, Marie Dahlstrom, Louise Golbey, Jacob Collier, Jon B, Michael McDonald, Ned Doheny, Paul Simon, Simply Red, Robert Palmer, Stevie Winwood, Talking Heads, Elton John, The Style Council, Bobby Caldwell, Amy Winehouse, Kenny Thomas, Level 42, George Michael, The Bee Gees Toto and every song written by Burt Bacharach & Hal David. The Letter M (Pt. 2) is on March 11 and then there is no ‘A-Z’ on March 18 as The Trouble and I will be down on the French Riviera! (Can’t wait!)
