Mini-review:

Tbh, I didn't like this as much as I expected. It started out fun and everything, but I think it ran out of steam with each episode. The last few episodes were particularly mediocre, with some of the characters suddenly acting like completely different people. It just made no sense to me. Also, I didn't like how they handled the whole "idol in a relationship" thing. It made me feel like the show was saying idols belong to their fans (and the group) and shouldn't even think of having lives, as if they aren't humans like everybody else. I don't know, it gave me a weird, upsetting feeling. On top of that, while I really liked the characters for the most part, the acting was uneven as hell, and sometimes I didn't even know what the female lead's expressions were supossed to mean. Oh, but one thing I did love is the effort the writer made to include queer characters in a way that felt super-positive. I hope other j-drama writers take notes, in this regard. So, overall, it's not a particularly good drama, and I would only recommend it if you're a big fan of any of the actors.

What I Read in October 2023

I've tried reading this a few times and have never been in the mood, then boom, this time I loved it! ^_^' (because I needed another fandom and another super long manga series...)

This was an interesting start, I look forward to the next volume!

I'm fine and don't find these volumes to be stressfull at all.

Listened to this after finding out about needing a root canal. This might be my favorite Jane Austen

And I finished (finally) Deadhouse Gates! That was a journey, I was emotionally exhausted by the end. I must say this was a much stronger book than Garden's of the Moon

the Kaiba brothers and immediately going for "murder" as the answer

Really liking this still

after deadhouse gates I decided to give my poor brain and heart a break and read some (very) small books. ^_^

Attempting to use the word "fag" as many times as possible in a not-gay way. Also Vincent Phantomhive sighting, Ciel getting a random marriage proposal, Lizzy and Edward being jealous for different reasons.

hey, part of the star wars universe actually looking at slavery...

This is such a good series

not sure what story precisely this was attempting to tell tbh

this one gets into some of the mor emotional things, but also keeps lots of fun shenanigans going on.

Took more care reading this volume this time and had a lot more fun.

You can watch the event that this originates from here! There are no subtitles as of right now, but I will say that the event was a blast. Rieri was so much fun, and Umehara was... himself. They got to choose and present their favourite scenes. Umehara's is from the last episode, so do not watch that if you haven't completed the series. Umehara also got to do some skits that Mikakoshi set up. Rieri ended up blushing pretty hard at each of them as I'm sure some of the audience did as well. Both said the anime was really funny (I agree), and other cast members who did not make it to the event sent in their comments and greetings as well (Natsuki Hanae, Gakuto Kajiwara, and Mikako Komatsu).
