Moominpappa's Memoirs adaptation where the narration gets translated into this. It's actually a recording of Moominpappa using a projector to show the kids this live action movie documentary based on his book and he's doing a live director's commentary.

INTRODUCING: The Voice Actors for Moominvalley (2019)'s adaptation of Moominpappa's Memoirs! 🤩

We here at Moomin Characters have heard your pleas for an adaptation of Moominpappa's Memoirs, and we are pleased to announce the voice actors we have chosen!

We have casted Freddie Robertson as Hodgkins, who you may know from critically acclaimed children's film Jacques and the Golden Wool (2018)! ⛵

Singer-songwriter Kasper Thomas is making his debut as a voice actor this year as fan-favorite Joxter! You may know him from his songs used in many commercials, such as the beloved jingle for Darterton's Motors and the composer of the background music in games such as AlienQuest 3 (2005) and Elsethere (2017)! 🐱

Former child actor Francis Hunt will be playing Muddler! He is famous for playing the main character, S.J., in the 2003 series School of Sorbet! 🥫

We are ecstatic to announce our new voice actors and we know you've been waiting for a long time to hear about them! We hope you'll love them just as much as we do! 💙

Unrealistic things I need if- when MV2019 will do Moominpappa's memoirs

-A cool/dramatic introduction for Joxter, he could act silly but I think it'd be cool if he pretended to be mysterious just to mess with Moomin(pappa)

-Muddler being treated properly as a character and not just someone to make fun of/add to the comedy

-The crew messing around and Hodgkins being the mom of the group

-Young Mymble not looking just like a shrunken version of her 3d model and not have 2d emotions

-Joxter being a cat

-Joxter's pupils being cat-like (and they get big when he sees someone he likes- jk that's just my opinion)

-I. NEED. EMOTIONS. when they finally meet/fall in love with their future partners

-The family reunions in the end!! ESPECIALLY Joxter and Snufkin

-References to Snufkin's backstory while Moominpappa is explaining the story

-CRIME TIME

Fun question; What do you think Moominpappa's Memoirs is about, exactly? Either thematically or literally.

I'm curious to see how other people see it (and no don't say stuff like "it's about a bunch of dudes sharing a braincell and messing around" because never have they actually shared a braincell on any matter, they have very different fractions of braincells specializing in different things.)

Little My was canonically born on Midsummer's Eve. Midsummer is in the 25th of June in Finland.

The Hemulen Aunt

Also known as the Hemulen's aunt, she was presumably the aunt of the orphanage principal from Moominpappa's Memoirs. She was saved from the Groke and was mistaken for her niece by the young Moominpappa and became a very bossy caretaker of the Oshun Oxtra until she got kidnapped by Niblings, and then later became their leader by teaching them writing and math. She isn't a mean woman, in fact she was very grateful toward the Oshun Oxtra in her letter for Muddler's wedding.

The Hemulen Who Loved Silence

The main character of a chapter of Tales From Moominvalley, he lived in a noisy family who ran an even noisier pleasure-ground. After a weeks-long flood washing the pleasure-ground away and his family coming up with the idea of opening an ice rink, he had enough and declared that he wants a pension and move out somewhere quiet. He also says his dream is to build a dollhouse but gets laughed out of wanting it anymore. After he moves to his grandmother's abandoned park, he is made by the children to rebuild the pleasure-ground with the parts they recovered. In the end, he opens a park of silence where there is no screaming or loud laughing, and much to his relief the children still enjoy it.

they're showing "the exploits of moominpappa" in our local cinema this sunday (with polish dub) and my dad got me a ticket!! 💖 i have not seen the remastered version yet because i hoped i would be able to watch it on a big screen and now i will!
