Right back at ya, current five favorite fics?

"Life Finds a Way" by Kyn (Transformers Bayverse) This one is still in-progress but it's a fic I love so dearly. I love Ratchet slowly coming around and borderline adopting Charlie as both a patient and as an apprentice; I love how stinkin' cute Bumblebee is; I love the commentary on war and race, etc., without it feeling like it's been shoehorned in for the sake of it.

"Hang the Fool" by AlmaMeDuele (Overwatch) I don't have the words other than this fic - is - so - good. It reads fast; nothing about it overstays its welcome. The structure is snappy but still so vivid. It's one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to style execution.

"Sister" by KenzieQuip (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) I stumbled across this fic while browsing through some MCU art and I fell - in - love. There's so much heart in the story and it makes me feel welcome without knowing anything about the TV show or the characters beforehand.

"Peacemaker" by astolat (Transformers Animated) I'm usually not a huge fan of MegaPrime (MegaOP? OptiTron?), especially in the context of Transformers Animated, but ho-lee-shit this one-shot takes the cake. There's this sense of intense hope that's woven through the story and it makes my insides hurt. Highly recommend if you want to cry about politics and religion (but in a good way); very cathartic.

"Marriage a Trois" by Sorrel (Sherlock Holmes 2009) This is a real gem of a find. I don't really know what to say about it other than the fact that it's good? Gorgeously written; extremely intelligent.

I just realized I never actually posted this image... It’s the fusion of Optimus and Megatron, and he is the ultimate diplomatic man. He can convince you to do anything with a mix of respect-inducing honesty and greatly persuasive call-to-action speeches. The best of both Autobots and Decepticons! And as a plus, I think he retained Megatron’s cooking skills...

Just realized that while I would've preferred the Kong-Godzilla meeting *prior* to something like KOTM (assuming the pending sequel is even their first encounter), said flick *does* introduce just enough MacGuffins & unscrupulous asshats wielding same to spice things up beyond 'megaprimate & ur-saurian meet, take Instant Offense'. Also sorta hoping the Iwi play a more hands-on role than seen in K:SI.

Same, nonnie - there’s gotta be some Chekhov’s Guns come GvK, plus more of the ‘17 and counting’ Titans coming out to play, and participating Iwi taking an active role from the ensuing chaos would be pretty interesting.
