since gender is v important in this story, how did femc end up as the commander without anyone trying to mutiny or otherwise being unwilling to cooperate since it seems like being a woman seems like her role is delegated to the home (genuine question)

this answer is quite simple!! most of the nobles who are strongly against the commander don't consider her a person, just a dog to the emperor. they have a bigger problem with her being shan than her being a woman
