Hello again, I'm the anon who felt stupid about the whole Jungkook being a cook situation.
Thank you so much for answering so nicely and thoroughly, I was a bit scared that my question would sound sarcastic or judging when it was anything but.
I already knew about the companion system that meant Jimin and Jungkook would be in the same place. I just had no idea what type of role they had taken.
As for Jungkook, he already loved cooking, so if that is what he does during MS, I hope it make him content.
I personally was just super happy to hear from him today.
It's sad that others are using this bit of news to hate on any members :(. From the very little I have seen, the BTS members have all tried to make the best of a situation they couldn't avoid no matter what. So I'll continue patiently waiting for them and hoping they are all doing as well as possible.

I too am happy for him, he doesn’t have to prove himself to anybody. He is a singer and entertainer. That is his life’s work. This is a pause in his life where we are privileged to keep up with him where we can.
He’s shown us how much he loves to eat AND loves to cook. How lovely has it been that we’ve been able to see him in action cooking several times, sharing recipes with us and cooking for him and Jimin in the Monuments documentary!
Like you I hope him, and all the members stay mentally, physically and emotionally well until they finish. Let’s continue to send nothing but love and positivity their way!

if you are 1) currently in a university where your student healthcare covers hormone therapy, and 2) in a good financial, emotional, and social position to start hormone therapy, i would recommend pursuing it. because in my experience, it's a huge pain in the ass to get an endocrinologist once you're on your own
#unless you live near a planned parenthood or another equivalent to that#but in general you might as well take advantage of the mandatory student health insurance while you have it#it's also cheaper than you might expect. my vials cost $40 CAD for 4 months and then the injection materials are like a couple dollars each#for me i got a therapist with the university and asked them to recommend me to one of the uni's doctors#so i got to skip some of the waitlisting process yay#and then even after getting access to hormones i went to the clinic maybe 5 or 6 times because i needed a nurse to help me with injections#all of which was 'free' because it was with the university#now that i'm graduated though i need to find a new endocrinologist and it turns out the process is WAY more complicated on your own 🤡#of course your mileage may vary depending on how based your school is but it's definitely worth checking imo 🤷#beepbeep.txt#wanted to say this because i basically didn't use the uni health services until my last year and i was like 'wow#'i'm actually getting so much shit for free right now'#like i was seeing a therapist and a dietician and the endocrinologist and a nurse simultaneously at one point#and i might've missed out on all that if i didn't have someone tell me how easy it was to get help if you ask the right questions#so there's my word of wisdom for anyone who might benefit from it.......#also going to post tips about injections later because i think that would also help people out 👍

instead of doing maths revision today (well i did do some, but not much), I drew the Brigadier, because i kinda miss drawing the UNIT gang

Maybe I will sound stupid, because I'm not on Twitter, but why are they all saying that Jungkook works in the kitchen?
I mean, I wouldn't judge any type of work especially since I've worked in a school kitchen myself when I was pretty young, but I'm just not understanding.

First of all, you do not sound stupid! You sound like you’ve done very well in protecting your peace, curating your social network spaces and consuming content from the right places.
You sound like someone who has experienced enough life and people to not be judgemental and is just genuinely perplexed by people’s online behaviours.
Jungkook hasn’t explicitly said he’s Kitchen Police but deducing from the available positions in the 5th division, where news sources reported them as going, it’s the safest assumption. There have been a number of people who looked into the units that fall under the artillery brigade and had spoken before about them, unfortunately I couldn't find reputable sources to link for you, sorry.
The big deal for certain subsections is what it means for them and their wars with other subsections in the fandom, Jungkook maybe not being in the same role as Jimin. The big deal for certain people is Jungkook maybe not doing a role that lives up to the fantasies and image they have for him.
The big deal sadly isn't the main thing that should be the priority Jungkook and Jimin’s well-being.
Jungkook’s update and the information readers can glean from it ,as to how he spends his days and who he spends his days with, aren’t about what it means for Jungkook or even Jimin, it’s about what it means for the online users and their interests.
For the majority though, those that actually genuinely care about BTS and the members and genuinely want to hear of good news, it good news, a welcome update, him cooking, cleaning or whatever.
It was the fact that he communicated with ARMY, updated ARMY and is seemingly doing well. The majority were genuinely happy.
It’s ok to be lost in what’s being argued about when it’s ridiculous anyway.
Knowing from updates from them, that they are doing well is enough.
No one is more the authority on Jimin and Jungkook than Jimin and Jungkook. Not dedicated accounts, no long threads, no insider stories etc.
Staying with official information from reputable sources helps the most.
News sources and Big Hit have confirmed Jimin and Jungkook to be using 동반 입대로 Companion Enlistment and Jimin has confirmed Jungkook to be doing well by his side and that he, Jimin is also doing well.
