What if cash never had to run away and left his wife and son?

For starters, Jimmy would probably have Cash as his last name instead, or he’ll pull a Hispanic and have BOTH last names.

Mallory (Jimmy’s mom) would also stay with Cash and not marry like, 7 rich guys. Jimmy would also have a better home life with him ACTUALLY having a real father figure. Jimmy would still be getting expelled from schools though but that’s cause he’s Jimmy.

Cash would work a lot of odd jobs here and there, with him averaging at least two jobs to support his family. Jimmy wouldn’t get to see him much cause of this but they’d definitely have their bonding times even with Cash’s jobs. Considering Cash stays, the events of manhunt don’t happen so our homeboy Cash doesn’t get beaten up a bunch in one day/night lol.

Cash would also try to be involved in Jimmy’s education since Cash as a teen too got expelled from a couple of schools and doesn’t want Jimmy to go down that same path.

Every parent teacher meeting Cash is just SCARING the poor teachers cause he has a resting bitch face and an asshole voice.

Jimmy never knew his dad.

Sure, make the joke on how many dads he has or how much they ignored him just to be with his mom. But none of them really resonate with him as much as Jimmy wished they would.

He remembers the half-hearted gifts, the harsh punishments, the need for him to get out of the way, or even the ‘lessons’ he’ll have to learn one day.

He never learned but he learn on his terms even now he did.

But it was one day while he was watching tv late at night that something happened that he’ll never forget.

He was nine years old then, eating some cereal as his mom was cleaning, and his third dad was out with his drinking buddies again. It was late but Jimmy knew that his mom was too tired to tell him to go to bed so the tv was the way to go. There weren't any cartoons up and running so Jimmy changed the channel until he saw the news.

Now, Jimmy didn't care about the news, neither did he get it all that much, but somehow he knew that he needed to watch it, at least for this specific moment. His mother was going to tell him to change the channel but then the newswoman blared on about breaking news.

“Breaking News: Serial Killer James Earl Cash or more commonly known as ‘Cut-Throat Cash’ was found hiding away in an apartment in Carcer City.

After a decade-long manhunt, the criminal has been found and apprehended by law enforcement. Gary Schaffer, Chief Officer of the Carcer City Police Department shared his enthusiasm about the matter earlier this night.”

The scene then cuts to an older man dressed in blue, flashing lights, and silence is met as he speaks up. He looked exhausted yet excited at the same time, showing off a confident smile as he raised the paper in his burly hands.

“Today is a victory for not only me and my men, but for Carcer City itself as we’ve captured a criminal roaming our good streets.

For too long this ‘man’ has gotten away from cold-blooded murder, the loss of innocent lives, families destroyed, and too many graves filled. But because of the hard work brought to my men in blue, we’ve finally caught him, and I will personally see that he will never hurt anyone ever again.”

The scene then changed over to the newswoman dressed in her red suit.

“As of the time being, Cash is being held in Darkwoods Penitentiary pending his trial.

It is unknown what penalty Cash will face, but guaranteed, when it will come out, we will be here to let you all know. This is Robin-”

The tv was shut off, Jimmy finally came back to reality as soon as he saw his reflection on the black screen. He instinctively looked over at where the remote was before he finally saw his mother. She had the remote in her hands, she was shaking, and there were tears in her eyes.

“Mom?”

The woman didn't move, her grip on the remote tightened so hard that her knuckles turned white. Jimmy called her again, resting the cereal down on the table once he saw the tears go down her face. He tried to calm her down, asking what was wrong before he was drawn into a suffocating hug.

Jimmy was going to complain, he didn't like hugs, but seeing how much despair his mother was in he relented.

The young boy wrapped his arms around his mother, softly patting her back as she cried. He didn't understand what was wrong and why she was crying in the first place.

Was it because of what they were showing on tv? Usually, his mom was fine watching stuff like that, news and all.

Was it because it was late? It wasn't that late, at least for Jimmy’s standards.

Well, whatever it was, Jimmy held onto his mother until she calmed down. And the older woman let herself cry for a little while longer before she finally put herself together.

She looked horrible with the makeup running down her face yet she looked like she was about to say something. She didn't, however, cover her mouth and apologize for crying out of nowhere. Despite her son’s protests, she sent her son to bed and cleaned up the mess left over.

She didn't watch the news all that much after that...

Alright fine i'll post some headcanons for Jimmy's mom. I took a bit of inspiration from @deadpuppetboi including Her name. Go check them out :3

Ms. Hopkins grew up in a rural area. Grew up with a sister and two brothers, and lived with her dad and both grandparents.

Her mom passed away when she was very young.

A gardener by heart. She practically lived in the small garden of her childhood home. Her grandma taught her almost everything she knows about plants and herbs.

Mallory loves to sing, you can probably find her singing to some of her plants. She says it helps them grow better.

Also, Mallory can fence.

Mallory has various antique swords and glaives as well, she inherited them from her Grandfather after husband #3s death divorce.

And yes she can absolutely fight with them.

Oh and she's a damn good cook- no seriously she's a great cook.

Mallory's not the greatest mom sometimes, but she is trying. She always makes sure Jimmy has a roof over his head and food to eat.

When she heard about the Gary Incident she was absolutely ready to kick his and his parents asses. Fortunately Jimmy got to Gary first.

The reason Mallory had been married so many times is because she'd been trying to make sure jimmy had a stable life, after divorcing #5 she finally decided that she was just going to stay single.

Mallory also just straight up moved to Bullworth so Jimmy could keep attending school there.

Its hard being a single mom sometimes, but she does have some help from Pete's parents, as well as from Ms. Phillips and Mr. Galloway.

She's one of Bullworth Academy's gardeners now as well. The place is practically blooming with all sorts of flowers at this rate.

She's even being considered as a teacher for a possible Botany class!

Mallory watched Cash's execution on the news when it happened. She definitely cried.

She does want to tell Jimmy about who his real father is, but its going to be a long while after all he's been through.

Whenever Mallory finds out Cash is alive, he will not be safe.

if Starkweather was alive he wouldn't be safe either.

Nobody involved in the events of manhunt would be safe from this woman's wrath. Nobody.

Bonus: Mallory and Jimmy have absolutely had sword fights throughout their life. Don't give either of them access to any sort of pole weapon. It will not go well.

And thats the silly little headcanons that have been growing in my head. We now have a fencer-gardener mom. I know these are probably a bit silly but i think giving characters some more wacky background or experiences keeps them even more interesting and also opens up for lots of scenarios to play around with. :3

Signed by Alexander Kahle, the principal cast members (including stars Miriam Hopkins, Paul Muni, Louis Hayward, et al.), and crew (including producer Albert Lewis, writer Mary Borden, et al.). Directed by Anatole Litvak, The Woman I Love is a 1937 American film about a romantic triangle involving two World War I fighter pilots and the wife of one of them. It was based on the novel by Joseph Kessel. Photographs by Alex Kahle. According to Mary Mallory, "When most people think of motion picture stills photographers, they think of such renowned portraitists as George Hurrell, Ruth Harriet Louise, Clarence Sinclair Bull, and Eugene Richee, who created the glamour and iconography of the classic film stars of the 1930s and 1940s. Often forgotten are the lensers who concentrated on scene stills, establishing a film’s mood or theme as they also developed character. German Alex Kahle brought dynamism and verve to his work as a scenes and off-camera stills photographer by shooting for the angles, making his images often “pop” off the page." Kahle is perhaps most notable for his work on the set of Citizen Kane. According to Harlan Lebo in Welles, Toland and Citizen Kane, "Alexander Kahle, the RKO still photographer who shot almost daily on the Citizen Kane set, was a constant observer of the Welles-Toland professional relationship. “The two,” said Kahle, “saw eye to eye from the first.” The present album presents a wide variety of film stills in various sizes with behind the scenes shots, some cut and arranged in collage.

The album includes a page with four on-set photographs of Amelia Earhart.  The film's director, Anatole Litvak's biography refers to the day she came to the set, "During the shooting of the picture, famous aviatrix Amelia Earhart visited the set.  A fan of Paul Muni, the two posed together for a photograph. The actor remarked later, "it was the only time during the making of the film that I really felt like an aviator - by association!"

FULL BIOGRAPHY

BRIEF BIO:

Sofia was basically local golden child growing up, as well as everyone's big sister. She did well in school, and traveled cross country to do her internship at Johns Hopkins and intended to come back to work somewhere in Seattle after getting that unique experience but she ended up staying through her residency as well.

The little group of interns she was paired with became incredibly close with one another. After a year working together, a few of them moved in together and became a little dysfunctional family. A couple of them ended up moving hospitals but staying roommates/besties, but Sofia and another one of the interns ( Mallory ) became inseparable. Mallory had no real family, bouncing around foster homes as a kid and becoming her social worker's favorite success story with her college/med school/internship achievements. 

With some of the group split and some still thriving in their residencies at Hopkins, things were going great. Even when Mallory found out she was pregnant the first year of her residency, they became a little sitcom family all chipping in going to doctors appointments, and Sofia even delivered the baby. They cared for the baby ( in really the only way Sofia knew ) as if the kid had four parents, and everything was woohoo aww cute.

Sofia was working the ER one night when an accident came in. Three of the hospitals own residents and an infant were involved. Miraculously, the baby only had a few cuts, but the adults were all in critical condition, sending Sofia into a night of desperately trying all she could to save her best friends.

As it goes, attempts were unsuccessful, their injuries were too much. In the blink of an eye, Sofia lost all three of her closest friends, three people who had become her family. In the midst of her grief, Sofia was reminded that she was the baby, Emma’s, legal guardian. A simple title given to Sofia over a year prior when she was born, one that she never imagined would come to fruition.

So now there Sofia is, suddenly raising a toddler on her own and managing her residency. It was then that she began the journey of transferring home, pulling a month at Seattle Pres before finally getting a spot at SGMW.

Jimmy isn’t afraid of anything.

Not the dark, not what's in the dark, not bugs, not anything else that would scare the regular human man.

But tonight, he was afraid.

He barely remembers what happened earlier, Hell, he’d consider it a miracle how much he does remember. He remembered the memories of black gear, screaming, and sudden pain at the back of his head.

The rest was darkness.

The next thing Jimmy knew, his mother was holding him close, so close that he could barely breathe.

His head was pounding, his vision was blurred, and his mouth was dry. He was in complete pain but he was more concerned about the fact that he couldn't breathe well.

Jimmy moved his head over her chest, trying to breathe as well as get a better look at her. She was in tears, mascara running down her cheeks as she begged someone not to hurt him. Looking over her arms, the young teenager saw a group of men around the both of them.

They were dressed strangely, with dark baggy clothes draped over their bodies their hockey masks were what caught Jimmy’s eye. They were coated in blood, and weapons in their grasp with the same stains, they all looked serious. Not one of them laughed or cheered over his mother’s cries, and didn't bother to step back as Jimmy got up for himself.

“Mom-”

“Jimmy, get down, “his head was pushed up against his mother again, face smushed as his words were muffled once more.

The older woman sniffled, hands covering Jimmy’s vision as she struggled to talk.

“Please, please don't hurt my baby. I swear you can do whatever you want with me, but please don't hurt my son.”

One of the men spoke up, Jimmy couldn't tell, but he heard him loud and clear.

“He bares the blood of the guilty, he must be punished.”

...what?

Blood of the guilty? Punished? Published for what???

He’s a shitty kid, sure, but by no means did he do anything to garner the attention of these freaks.

Nonetheless, his mother hiccupped, her grip on her him getting tighter.

“Please, I don't know what you want, but please he did nothing wrong! He's just a child, he's my baby, he's young, he’ll grow up, he-”

There was the sound of boots hitting the gravel and his mother gasped.

“HES JUST A BOY, FOR CHRIST’S SAKE, HES NOTHING LIKE HIM!!!”

There was the sudden pressure built on Jimmy’s ankle, he didn't have time to comprehend what his mom meant before he was pulled under. His headache worsened hearing his mother scream, and his vision blurred as he watched her be pulled back by two masked men. He was grabbed by both of his legs and by pure strength alone, was thrown over against the wall.

Jimmy choked on his breath, immediately holding his arm which ached from the attack. He looked over at the man who threw him, he was all muscle and already he could tell he was completely pissed. Not willing to wait around for more, Jimmy got up as quickly as he could, feet stumbling over each other to get a rightful grip.

He was sure that this man didn't expect him to fight back, especially in his condition, but he did. Once the man ran over, hands raised, Jimmy raised his right foot and slammed it right on his crotch. And just as he suspected, the man howled, falling over with both hands gripping his now presumed broken member.

Thinking on his feet, Jimmy ran off, going through a random doorway he didn't bother to know where to go. The other men ran after him, screaming not only to each other to get him, but for him to stop and accept his fate.

He wouldn't, he knew he wouldn't, but his mind was running wild with the worst of the worst.

These men weren't good news, they were out for blood, and they wanted his to spill.

But first things first, he's gotta find a way to save his mom...
