despite the lack of elise and specs/tucker... the red door is the best insidious movie since the original.
patrick wilson outdid himself. the scares were nicely done and not campy or cheesy. plus, i love that he added the realistic element of addressing all the trauma his possession caused. hell of a directorial debut for him.
plus, his song collab with ghost? perfection. loved the movie, and it's a good end to the series if they don't decide to make another later on.

Is it a coincidence that all well-known horror actors are attractive as hell?
I think not.

all i'm saying is that spectral sightings belongs in a turn of the century ghost story more than in the 21st century because of the spiritualist craze. insidious would be so improved if it was a period piece. elise as an eminent american medium and specs and tucker as her two goons that are helping revolutionize parapsychology. that's all.
