Inspirada por Prima la musica e poi le parole (1786), ópera cômica de Antonio Salieri sobre as tensões entre os artistas de ópera. Antes de deixar a Áustria devido à anexação nazista, o libretista judeu Stefan Zweig propusera o tema a Strauss. Apesar de sua marcante modernidade, Capriccio revisita formas clássicas. Fez sucesso em Munique durante a guerra, até o bombardeio do teatro de ópera em 1943.

Esta última ópera de Richard Strauss é uma sofisticada "peça de conversação para música" (o subtítulo real da obra) centrada na antiga questão de saber se as palavras ou a música têm precedência no teatro e nas artes em geral. Um poeta e um músico apresentam suas respectivas criações a uma jovem condessa e pedem que ela decida. Implícita em seu veredicto está outra questão: qual deles ela tomará como amante? 15o BUDAPEST CIRCUS FESTIVAL Lyrical Circus Late Night show A conclusione del ciclo di articoli dedicati agli spettacoli di selezione del Festival di Budapest, eccovi la recensione e le fotografie dell'ultimo show in cartellone realizzato, come i precedenti, da Massimo Malagoli.

LO SHOW Insieme con gli spettacoli di selezione denominati Red e Green e ad uno totalmente dedicato agli artisti ungheresi (denominato Red-White-Green Show dai colori della bandiera nazionale magiara), dal 2018 Peter Fekete ha voluto introdurre un ulteriore tipo di spettacolo, definito White, chiamato Lyrical Circus Late Night Show. Il programma del Lyrical Circus è basato su artisti in gran parte selezionati dal Direttore stesso in altri Festival dove, rimasto colpito dalle loro performance, ha consegnato un premio speciale con un invito a partecipare proprio a questo show. È uno spettacolo che si potrebbe definire di circo contemporaneo, con temi spesso forti ed una atmosfera particolare: un po' “circo-teatro”. Quest’anno il tema principale, che viene sottolineato e proposto sia nel quadro finale di ogni spettacolo di selezione sia nel Lyrical Circus, è la pace rappresentata graficamente anche nel manifesto ufficiale del Festival.  Unico neo, almeno per noi appassionati spettatori stranieri è rappresentato dal fatto che le varie performance circensi sono intervallate da dialoghi di difficile comprensione in quanto tutti declinati in ungherese. 

GLI ARTISTI Quest’anno, i numeri invitati a partecipare sono di un buon livello e certamente originali. Nel programma, la stessa specialità è a volte rappresentata da diversi numeri ma con atmosfere e coreografie completamente diverse. Per intenderci, nel programma sono presentati diversi numeri di cinghie e di ruota Cyr ma, appunto presentati, in versioni diverse. Ad esempio, l’israeliana Yahav Adar presenta una performance elegante e classica mentre il vietnamita Bui Quoc Huy presenta a sua volta una rivisitazione del numero con un attrezzo che sembra la struttura di un cappello e che consente figure originali. Performance che si è avuto modo di apprezzare anche in Italia al Salieri Circus Award. Gli statunitensi Duo Pile ou Face, presentano una ruota Cyr con una bella coreografia e una buona tecnica, lavorando insieme sulla stessa ruota. Alle cinghie aeree Marceau Bidal, diplomato alla Scuola Nazionale del circo di Montreal, presenta figure utilizzando corde asimmetriche. Anche Antony Cesar ha studiato alla Scuola di Circo di Montreal ma proviene da una storica famiglia di circo. La sua performance è molto intensa dal punto di vista emotivo e unisce una solida tecnica circense ad atmosfere e musiche più moderne. Antony ha già un ottimo palmares avendo vinto premi importanti sia al Salieri Circus Award (2021) che all'ultimo International Circus Festival of Italy città di Latina (2023).

Di ottimo livello anche le strappate del russo Anton Mikheev che ha appreso quest’arte al Circus Nikulin e già nel 2014 aveva vinto la medaglia d’oro al Wiesbaden Youth Circus e nel 2015 l’argento al Festival du Cirque New Generation di Monte-Carlo. La sua caratteristica distintiva è quella di eseguire tutto il numero mantenendo in equilibrio una palla ed è davvero bravo. L’ucraino Grygorii Lovygin mostra molta energia gionglando le palline mentre è delicata la performance alle verticali di Ruslan Kalachevskyi (ucraino) che si fa apprezzare non solo per le varie figure in equilibrio su un solo braccio ma anche per alcune spaccate ad effetto. I quattro israeliani di Los Group presentano un buon adagio acrobatico. Una versione simile, sempre proveniente dallo stesso nazione, era presente al Festival di Girona del 2023 ma, in questo caso, i componenti del gruppo sono nuovi. A una decina di ragazzi della Old Circus School Ukraine è affidato il compito della chiusura di questo show. Questi ragazzi, insieme a molti altri, sono ospitati dall’inizio della guerra presso il Capital Circus di Budapest.

IL MESSAGGIO DI PACE Insomma, uno spettacolo che è riuscito a mettere insieme artisti provenienti purtroppo da diversi paesi in guerra e già questo è un primo germe dell'auspicata pace. Il matematico e futurologo Roberto Vacca, con il suo Il Medioevo prossimo venturo, aveva previsto le pandemie di oggi fin dal 1972

A caso prendo un giornale di metà gennaio 2020 e leggo, così alla rinfusa: 1. Monica Bellucci annulla la sua partecipazione a Sanremo. 2. Il misterioso virus cinese potrebbe trasmettersi da uomo a uomo (già 15 morti). Oms convoca una riunione di emergenza. 3. Assolto il vigile urbano di Sanremo che timbrava il cartellino in mutande.

Venti giorni dopo, sullo stesso quotidiano leggo: 1. Il Festival di Sanremo è finito con l'exploit di Achille Lauro (non è parente del celebre comandante napoletano: scambiava voti con scarpe, la sinistra prima del voto, la destra dopo i risultati).

2. L'Oscar è andato a sorpresa a un film sudcoreano (Parasite) che ha un Morandi nella colonna sonora.

3. I morti in Cina per coronavirus sono diventati circa 100 volte tanto.

Secondo gli scienziati abbiamo una sola certezza: tutto è nato nei mercati degli animali vivi (non sappiamo quali animali). Si dice perché non chiuderli? Impossibile, la struttura agricola-alimentare della Cina si basa da sempre su questo modello, e gli agricoltori sono 500 milioni (sic!), gli abitanti dell'Europa. Le strategie in Cina sono sempre state condizionate dai numeri.

Prendo il Corriere del Ticino di 100 anni fa (31 gennaio 1920) e leggo «Uscito il decreto governativo che vieta, con effetto immediato, tutte le feste danzanti come misura preventiva alla diffusione dell'influenza epidemica in essere (era appena finita la Spagnola, 25 mila morti nella piccola Svizzera)». Leggendo tutte queste notizie, per non so quale associazione di idee, mi è tornato alla mente un vecchio saggio (1971) del matematico Roberto Vacca dal titolo Il Medioevo prossimo venturo. In estrema sintesi, il professore ipotizzava una prossima regressione della civiltà, proiettata verso un mondo dominato dalla povertà e dalle malattie, quindi percorso da lotte selvagge per la sopravvivenza. Gran parte degli accademici lo liquidò come parascientifico, collocandolo nel filone post catastrofistico, una specie di saga Mad Max de noantri. A me invece piacque.

In realtà il ragionamento di Vacca si basava su rigorose analisi matematiche che confermavano come la civiltà umana si articolasse e si sviluppasse secondo fasi cicliche, che contengono pensieri, situazioni, atteggiamenti, secondo l'immortale principio «La storia ci insegna che la storia non ci insegna nulla». Quello che Vacca non aveva previsto era l'altissima velocità alla quale il processo di sviluppo, in realtà degrado secondo i suoi calcoli, stava marciando. In effetti, negli ultimi trent'anni (il periodo del Ceo capitalism) abbiamo concentrato la ripetizione di eventi in passato durati secoli. Ne cito alcuni: il desiderio di piccole patrie, il ripudio di Regni o di Imperi globalizzati, la paura delle invasioni barbariche, la crescita dell'intolleranza, il terrore dell'estremismo religioso, la distruzione della famiglia e dei suoi valori, il ripudio della cultura come modalità di crescita (pochi leggono, tanti parlano, per cui siamo governati da ignoranti che si credono competenti). E ora è arrivato, per la terza volta, il virus asiatico, con tanto di untori e di monatti, con lazzaretti fatti in pochi giorni, spacciati per ospedali.

Che fare? La vista di Xi Jinping che indossa la mascherina e si sottopone ai protocolli sanitari immagino sia stata per lui politicamente imbarazzante. I cinesi più sprovveduti credevano che un Dio fosse esente dai virus degli umani. Costretti in questi anni al nazi-programma del riconoscimento facciale, si prendono una piccola vendetta, la mascherina coprente il viso restituisce loro la dignità della riservatezza, ridicolizzando l'algoritmo.

Osservandolo, Xi mi ha ricordato l'Imperatore Hirohito terrorizzato di essere processato come criminale di guerra (lo era, eccome!) e salvato dal generale Douglas MacArthur. Quando poi il popolo cinese dovesse fare un parallelo Wuhan-Chernobyl per Xi sarebbe la fine. L'Impero sovietico, e la sua casta di politici criminali, caddero per menzogne radioattive, identiche a queste. Intanto il processo ipotizzato dal professor Vacca accentua la velocità di caduta del modello. Chi conosce la Storia sa che dopo il Medioevo 2.0 arriverà il Rinascimento 2.0. Io non lo vedrò, ma i miei nipotini sì, avranno questo privilegio. E saranno felici, lo spero di cuore
