Dōma is positively predisposed to festivals imported from the western world, seeing them as a way to simply have fun & potentially mess with his fellow Kizuki and, of course, entertain himself and his following. Even though traditionally they would be practicing Obon/Bon, honoring the dead within the temple. Being a demon of higher status, he is capable of transforming his appearance completely, save for one element; his eyes, as the symbol of his status was etched in them by Muzan & their natural rainbow color is the one thing he couldn't rid of. So, his 'costumes' always come across as a little comical, seeing as his identity would be very obvious. Around his followers, he mostly opts for yokai-theme based things. If an emergency Upper meeting would be called, however, his fellow Kizuki would be exposed to a caricature of themselves; he's definitely dressed up as an oiran around Akaza & a spider around Kokushibo, for example, both times displaying an innocuous demeanor when questioned about it. His favorite demon to pester on this holiday would definitely be Hantengu, around whom he'd probably dress as Muzan.

I'm keeping this within the current setting because otherwise, if, say, he had the ability to walk in the sun etc, this response would get longer & much more chaotic xD Their tastes in life are quite simple, seeing as pleasure is a fickle & fleeting thing for Dōma. His ideal day would probably begin with a satisfactory meal, of course, as his nutritional needs are quite demanding at his current power level. Having settled that, he would enjoy a warm sake bath ( and skincare uwu ) Then, entertain himself by listening to his pathetic little humans grovel about their insignificant daily struggles, until night time, probably, which is when he can venture freely outside for an exciting night time hunt! He rarely finds someone interesting enough to keep him occupied throughout the entirety of the night; so few instances, that he would remember every single one ( Kanae being on that list ;3 ) He is an oni of simple pleasures, not much of an over-achiever. But he does enjoy a smidgen of chaos, so the prospect of a Hashira or two showing up to threaten his existence sits very well with him. Bonus points if the day ends with a friend or more visiting him for dinner & festivities at the temple!

How You Met :

You met Kokushibo at an Upper Moon meeting , you were the new upper moon 5 after Gyokko was defeated by the Mist Pillar . At first Kokushibo didn’t mind , he had no opinion on you . That was until Muzan asked if you both could train together since you also use breath instead of just a demon blood art ( much to Kokushibo dismay ) . Upper Moon One wasn’t much of a talker , was usually quiet while training . He would maybe say a few words .. like telling you what to work on , breathing techniques and answering your own questions . It was just really weird for him to be training with someone , he’s literally Upper Moon One like wtf ?? You both also went on missions together .. after all that time he still considers you just someone that works under Muzan . Like a co-worker >:D but you on the other hand .. you started to fell some way for the demon . Honestly it was very complicated and took a very very long time to work things out .

Relationship Head-canons :

For me , Kokushibo doesn’t enjoy PDA . So that’s a big no no ... he will push away any affection out in public but he still loves you don’t worry !! He just has his own way of showing affection . However when you both are alone he’s a big cuddle bug c: he loves cuddling up next to you , his favorite thing is kisses ! He loves kissing you .. everywhere ! His favorite spot is the hips and lips <33 ( idk if this sounds weird sorry )

Kokushibo likes reading books too , he’s more into poems although . So he’s happy to read with you ! It would be his favorite kind of date .. oh and you write poems too ? He enjoys reading them and gives you complements too ! He did try writing poems but he’s not the best at it — although they are cute !!

Kokushibo also speaks more with actions than words , so whenever you give him a little gift .. he usually gives you a hug or a small peck which indicates he enjoyed the gift !! He also gets you gifts too , from to your favorite flowers to things you’ve been wanting for awhile . He got you a new sword once .. he did have to steal it but it was still cute !!

Most days , Kokushibo isn’t much of a talker . Since you like deep conversations , he likey won’t be able to give you that sadly :( although if you are much of a talker , then your in luck ! He could listen to you for hours on end , it doesn’t matter what your talking about .. a new hobby , a mission , how your day went anything ! Butttttt .. every once in awhile he will talk about his brother and his past :c when he does talk about his past all you have to do his praise him and tell him how much you love him ! He’ll be brand new c:

I feel like Kokushibo enjoys more indoors than outdoors , he will go outside if you drag him tho ! I think his favorite place outside would be the small garden with the creek , it’s very quiet and peaceful ! He would insist on going there if you would drag Kokushibo outside — however he will explore new places with you .. as long as there’s not that much noise c:

[TEMPERANCE] - Are they a patient person, or do they tend to act on impulse?

Dōma can be patient, if the situation calls for it. Most of the time, he prefers to take the easy way out so his patience is moreso a result of him preferring to sit back and watch how things play out, looking for an opportunity to wedge himself in and snag an effortless win. Sometimes this gives off an illusion that he has some master plan or knew what to expect, but 9/10 it's just a result of living by the virtue of 'less is more' ( when it comes to actions, and nothing else xD )

As a psychopathic-coded character, Dōma does not reflect on the consequences of his actions and seems to act on a whim most of the time. His impuslivity, however, is mostly apparent/present when it comes to aggression.

Impulsivity in reactive (provoked) aggression: An example of this behavior in canon, is when Kanao insults him on his unemotional nature thus questioning the narrative he is presenting to her, and he reacts by immediately showing genuine aggression and trying to kill her. Impulsivity in proactive (unprovoked) aggression: An example of this behavior in canon, is when he bullies Akaza by provoking him with a hand on his shoulder and proceeding to ridicule him in front of the other demons by purposefully acting unfazed at his attacks, without caring for possible consequences ( like Kokushibo interfering, whether it could anger Muzan further etc )

Because of genetical predisposition ( his parents weren't all there either ) and the way he was raised, he lacks the capacity for delayed gratification. Aka, he expects 'rewards' ( pleasurable stimuli ) to come immediately after the act and will experience frustration when they don't. This is a skill children develop pretty early on their lives and it's something that helps us work towards long-term goals later in life.
