Kokatorimon BT14-010 by tyuga from BT-14 Booster Blast Ace
This card is a reference to the recruitable Kokatorimon from Digimon World, which had a collection of petrified Digimon in its lair in Misty Trees.

any thoughts on the various digimon that can shapeshift as humans? disregarding arukenimon and mummymon there was i believe two in adventure 1, one of which being kokatorimon. personally i see it as a form of programming magic all digimon can theoretically do but few actually learn how to
Starting with a bit of a side tangent, but I do prefer headcanoning that magic is something not all Digimon can learn to do.     I don’t have really any good reasons for that headcanon really, a part of me just enjoys somewhat applying video game logic into Digimon in some aspects. I like visualizing Digimon as having stats like HP and Attack and SP and MP etc, something about that just feels right to me. (Maybe it’s because, in some ways, what are stats but simply units of measurement and laws of physics in a world made of data? 🤔 )    I like to think all Digimon (of the same level) have equal potential, it’s just that some Digimon might be more evenly balanced while others specialize in certain stats. So to me, having MP be like a "special stat" that only some Digimon have as like a glass cannon-feature, something that can be extremely powerful but at the cost of all the other stats seems kind of like, balanced?
But that’s just me having some headcanons, back onto the actual topic:
Yeah, in most cases I do think the human disguises we see Digimon use are just magic, hell we do very explicitly see Wizarmon cast a spell to disguise everyone into humans (and animals) in Xros Manga, so it is the easiest explanation to default to in most cases
With Piemon the human disguises (in Adv and GG) could be also chalked up to just him using Clown Trick since that ability is a bit of jack of all trades and can do just a bunch of different little things. But also Piemon at least in my mind is just one of those Digimon that should totally be able to do magic, in my opinion at least, so either explanation works fine
Vamdemon in GG being able to do magic seems perfectly fitting (also while Adv's Vamdemon never used a human disguise we did see him casting magic), with Arukenimon (in GG) it feels like... IDK I'm kind of on-fence about whether or not Arukenimon should be able to do magic, but considdering 02's Arukenimon also had the ability to disguise herself as a human, the ability literally being a part of her skill set seems about right.
Honestly the only oddball human disguise (that I can remember at the top of my head) is Kokatorimon. Like... I just... Don't think Kokatorimon should be a spell caster..? It just seems odd to me?? But I don't want to think about that too much, I do think that disguise was meant to be more of funny cartoon moment in Adventure than anything else, I just wanna let it be lmao
I do think it would be funny/cute if Digimon could get like, human disguise-kits, like Halloween Costumes for Digimon but they temporarily shapeshift the Digimon into a human form for no good reason
IDK you asked me for some thoughts so, incoherent as this may be, it certainly is Some Thoughs

Celebraciones, ¿a cabezazos? La nueva y peculiar forma de celebrar en el Mundo Digital
#MundoDigitalEMDT Celebraciones, ¿a cabezazos?
¿Os…

as patient as i am for grinding, the aptitude system does mean i’m a bit impatient about some stuff, so the next four farm quests. this batch seems to perfectly correlate to other quests in Dusk: the Wing Ring incident involving a Muchomon, a BomberNanimon blowing up someone’s house, returning a Musyamon’s Katana, and cancelling a Kabuterimon’s duel with a Sinduramon. i don’t think all of these were farm quests in Dusk, so it’s neat to see there’s some level of not being exactly the same. i haven’t seen this one quest from Dusk as of right now, so i think it’s more different than i give it credit for even now.
the Silver rank fight is pretty much as i expect, both sides being strong defensively and poor offensively. however, there’s an annoying amount of statuses flying around, and thanks to poison, my mons are actually in danger, but we managed.
after an digivolution, the Devidramon still doesn’t have enough Aptitude, so i guess i’m gonna try and get more exp. i actually need a lot of  Machine exp to really make this worth it, and there just isn’t any decent options for Machine right now. Hookmon is the best, and they give, like, 60 per.
i’m also considering a choice for Arpeggio... it doesn’t seem wholly unreasonable, surprisingly. of course, that’s what i thought about what i wanted to do for HB. i’ll detail it more under a keep reading. i gotta say again, i love the DNA digivolving of this game, it’s so intricate and fun to think through.
to detail what i could do with Arpeggio, he could DNA-volve as a Birdramon with a Unimon to Parrotmon, rotate around to Sinduramon one way or the other from there, and then DNA-volve with a Silphymon into Valdurumon. given the Tapirmon from earlier, getting a Unimon would be pretty ok, and going for a Silphymon is possible, and i just unlocked Sinduramon as well, even if i didn’t want to use the Akatorimon/Kokatorimon DNA-volution for that.

Day 7 of playing Digimon World:
I really don't know where to go next since everywhere feels too dangerous right now (I'm beginning to suspect that I might me missing something I should have already unlocked), but Tanemon was talking about a plant in the Jungle, so I decided to go there. Luckily, I had a rain plant on me so I was able to water it and recruit Vegiemon.
Since I was already heading east, I kept going and started exploring the Ancient Dino Region, trying not to get in any fights (the areas in that place are really small so almost every fight is with more than one opponent). After talking to Tyrannomon, I went further in in search of a meteor, but it ended up being a Meteormon. After defeating it, it went away and Tyrannomon was ordered to join the city. It opened a restaurant. I tried to press start to see what each dish does, but it seems to only work with shop items, so I don't know if I'll ever use the restaurant (I don't want to spend a bunch of money in something if I don't know what it does).
I went back to fighting RedVegiemons for money and carrots, and then talked to Jijimon which is what apparently makes Greymon want to fight me. This time I defeated it and it opened an arena, which I'll try as soon as I have some time.
Yuramon talked to me about some Digimon in an icy spot north from the city, which sounds like it might be past Freezeland. I only found the Misty Trees, though. I got lost there for a while, but I ended up finding a Kokatorimon that went to the city, so it was worth it.
I wanted to explore more, but Birdramon faded away shortly after that, so I gave up on that and decided to call it a day.
Plans for tomorrow: try to get to perfect level for the first time, maybe. Either that or try Greymon's arena.

I had two Kokatorimon figures so I decided to make one into an Akatorimon. I also spruced up the details on the Kokatorimon, the original figure didn’t have any purple on the tail
