woke up feeling a bit sick yesterday, so i spent the day sleeping and reading comics. i'd forgotten that the IDW comics made Kimber and Stormer gay. but c'mon, their whole "friendship" in the 80's cartoon was honestly pretty gay.

I’ll never stop having Kimber call the rod in her arm a pipe.
“-Wow that is literally a metal rod in my arm,” Kimber stared at the x-ray. “I mean, you told me it would be; I just for some reason didn’t expect to see a whole pipe in there.”
And also this from not much later.
Kimber offered a handshake and Dr. Hart took it. “See you next week.”
She held open the door for Kimber who was very quick to meet up with Stormer.
“How did it go?” Stormer asked.
“Pretty well,” Kimber replied. “Dr. Hart doesn’t think there’s anything to worry about.”
Stormer breathed a sigh of relief. “Oh good.”
Kimber sighed. “It is. But,” another sigh, “I have so much metal in me now. I’m all full of brackets and screws. And just a whole pipe.”

Get To Know Me
Rules: Tag nine people you want to get to know better
I was tagged by @gorogues Thank you!
1. Top Four Ships: I have a lot of ships that I like (or just have a “sure, why not?” attitude towards), but not that many strong OTPs. I tend to focus on specific favorite characters and multi-ship them. But my favorite recent OTPs are probably:
1. Trickster (James Jesse, not Axel) and Pied Piper in every media incarnation of Flash except the CW series, because their characters are so different there.
2. Pyro and Avalanche in the X-Men comics. Like Trickster/Pied Piper, this is another ship where I can appreciate their friendship, and enjoy canon stories or fanfic about them being best buddies....but in the back of my mind, I’m always thinking, “And then they kissed.” Although in the X-Men movies, it’s Pyro and Iceman all the way.
3. Crowley and Aziraphale - I greatly appreciate the Amazon adaptation recognizing that an angel and demon in love was the most interesting part of the story
4. Kimber and Stormer from Jem and the Holograms - the IDW comic actually made this one canon, and I am delighted.
Honorable mention: Kitty Pryde/Rachel Summers, Catseye/Wolfsbane, and Bulk/Skull from Power Rangers (those two comic relief morons are in love, and you will never convince me otherwise.)
2. Last Song: Listening to Oingo Boingo’s “Just Another Day” right now.
3. Last Movie: I just watched Lego Movie 2 on Netflix last night, and I will argue that Lego Batman is actually the best interpretation of Batman.
4. Reading: Just finished “The Silent Companions” by Laura Purcell, really excellent, creepy Gothic horror. Painted wooden figures that are possibly cursed, chasing the heroine through a remote, decrepit manor house? Oh yes, that is good shit.
5. What Food Are You Craving Right Now? It’s morning, so mostly just coffee.

Kimber and Stormer are the only thing I really strongly ship in Jem. Shana and Anthony come close, just by virtue of being the healthiest and strongest het relationship in canon. Shana x Regine is cute too, tho...
Kimber/Stormer is probably my favorite ship, it's a shame they were only together in the one episode. Shana is great too, so nice and drama-free.
