King Liam Appreciation Day 5 👑
This has been such a fun week! I have enjoyed seeing everyone's creations, HCs, and general excitement over discussing all things Liam! Special thanks again to our amazing hosts @lizzybeth1986 and @sazanes. Thank y'all for working so hard to make everything so special for @kingliamappreciationweek!
In honor of KLAW #5, I thought I would share 2 different creations (2 different posts, you'll understand why!) about one of my AUs called Stay (Masterlist).
This is a short reel edit of the Prologue: A Shadow in the Dark, where we meet "Will the Thrill" (and if you are new, hi! Here is a little bit of background info if you just want to watch the video: Connie isn't too terrible; Eleanor is still alive; Leo didn't abdicate; Liam still found Riley; if you choose to read, this whole scenario is a very loose nod to an incident talked about in canon). Worth It - Everett Ross
Request: can you write a reader x Everett Ross where the reader is with him when they are interviewing klaw and when he escapes and all the gun shots happen she throws herself in front of him to protect him? Can it end in angst? Thank you!!

It was worth it.
Jumping in front of the explosion, you hadn’t only saved the Wakandan, Nakia, but Ross as well. And that was worth it. Saving two lives, the life of a innocent and a loved one. You told yourself it was worth it.
But as the pain registered, and you felt the hands that grabbed at you gently turn you around, you hesitated in your thoughts. You didn’t regret it, oh no, you’d rather have it be you on the ground, now, in pain and crying out than have it be Ross or even Nakia. Any day.
But you wondered if it was worth it, did that make sense?
Nakia suddenly left your side and you were left with a few agents and Ross, gazing at you and Ross trying to tell you it’d be fine. But would it? The explosion had lodged into your spine, you knew that much and damage to the spine could be fatal or life-altering. You weren’t a doctor, but you learned those sort of simple things in elementary school.
Be careful, the teachers would say. Always play safe.
But they also said, protect those you love. Or take care of those you care for.
So which was it?
There footsteps and then in moments T’Challa and Okoye were by your side, crouched down and assessing the situation. “Ross jumped in front of me,” Nakia explained, voice shaky as her eyes fell on you. “She jumped in front of both of us.”
“You can’t let her die,” Ross mumbled, voice faltering. It was the first time anyone but you had seen the CIA Agent’s emotions falter. He always kept a facade up, a mask to hide whatever he truly was feeling. He could be funny, sure, or even crack a smile, but he was still a agent and that line of work required you to mask what you truly felt.
T’Challa didn’t know what to do.
“We can’t let her die,” Nakia agreed. “We have the technology to save her. She saved my life! They both did!”
Ross was cradling you, best he could with your injury as you softly grumbled about it pain. My God did it hurt. You felt a breeze hit your back, as they had raised it to see the wound and you could almost feel the blood slowly seeping from the wound.
“Please,” Ross whispered, looking up at T’Challa. “Help her.”
“We won’t let her die.” T’Challa announced, “we’re taking them both back to Wakanda.”
Okoye visibly bristled, shouts of disagreement leaving her lips as she tried to convince T’Challa otherwise of his decision. But he held strong and you felt his hand fall on your back. “I will not let her die when we have the power to save her.” And Ross watched with interested eyes as he pulled one of the beads off of his bracelet off and placed it on your wound, pushing it in slightly. Your skin absorbed it.
“This will stabilize her for now,” T’Challa told Ross, who nodded. “Until we can get her back.”
“Thank you,” Ross whispered, leaning down to you. “You’re gonna be okay.”
His words soothed, but as you felt the pain ease and your eyes fall shut, you weren’t too sure.

Welcome to our second edition of the King Liam Appreciation Week!! Just like last year, we are holding it around the time of the International Day for Monuments and Sites, which is on April 18th.
It's been 6 years since we were first introduced to the younger brother of the "Prince" LI from RoE, and he's been capturing the minds and hearts of many Choices players ever since! Whether it's for his romantic sensibilities, his compassion, his vast knowledge of both his country and the world, or his charm and diplomacy - he is a favourite among many Choices players.
As Liam is an avid lover of History and especially of monuments and heritage sites, we continue to hold this event around 18th April! This event will happen over 5 days - from April 17th to 21st. The themes for the days are as follows:
Day 1 - April 17th - Character Appreciation/Throwback
Day 2 - April 18th - King/Historian
Day 3- April 19th - Foodie/Baklava
Day 4 - April 20th - Childhood/Family
Day 5 - April 21st - Friendships/Relationships/AU
Keep in mind that you don't have to send the content on the exact day of the theme - if you give it a little later as well, it's still fine as long as you tag the piece with the day it was meant for (#KLAW Day 1, #KLAW Day 2, etc).
Any content is welcome! Fanfic, fanart, edits, moodboards, meta, interactive media, headcanons, character appreciation... anything! As long as it celebrates Liam as a character, focuses on him and shows positive depictions of him. We also accept WIPs and a specific day (Throwback) is set aside for past pieces on Liam. If you like, you can even tell us about the process of creating that piece (here's an ask list for throwback pieces if you have doubts!).
Make sure you tag @kingliamappreciationweek in your posts, as well as the hosts @lizzybeth1986 and @sazanes in your content so we don't miss it! It would also make it easier to track if you use the tags #kingliamappreciationweek and #KLAW in your posts as an extra precaution.

Welcome to the King Liam Appreciation Blog! This character has been an integral part of the Royal Romance series since it was introduced, and has captured numerous hearts in the fandom since!
Liam is not only a lover and a king - he's also a passionate historian, a man who loves his country, someone who finds purpose in selflessness and building relationships, someone who loves deeply yet fears he may not be a good husband or father. This week is about celebrating all the myriad facets that make Liam what he is as a character.
Liam has often been associated in canon with monuments and historical sites, right from the time he expressed his wish to see the Statue of Liberty in Book 1. As April 18th is recognized as the International Day of Monuments and Sites, it's only fitting that we host KLAW in that week.
This event will be held from 16th April to 21st April. Any positive content focused on Liam is welcome: fics, art, headcanons, moodboards, edits, aesthetics, meta, even appreciation posts showcasing your favourite scenes with him! Do tag or DM @kingliamappreciationweek and @lizzybeth1986 for any questions or doubts, and do not forget to tag your posts during the week!
Here are the prompts we'll be using for the days. There are pointers for those who would like to have clarity on the themes, but you are free to interpret them in a variety of ways - as long as the content itself is positive.
Day 1 - April 16th - Liam the Person (personality, individual traits and interests, basically Liam in his private life)
Day 2 - April 17th - Liam the King (politics, traditions, ambitions for the country)
Day 3 - April 18th - Liam the Historian
Day 4 - April 19th - Liam the Friend
Day 5 - April 20th - Liam and his Family - Liam the Lover/Husband (basically romance is included, but you can also use this day to explore his relationships with his parents, siblings and potential children)
Day 6 - April 21st - Liam's Childhood
The themes aren't restricted to these particular days, but tagging them will help us track the content and compile the masterlist! You can still do content on a later day, and tag it for the day listed.
Once the week officially ends, there will be an extra set of days for whoever would still like to send content but couldn't do it during the themed days.
We will put up some King Liam icons tomorrow, for whoever would like to use them during the week! They can be used anytime.

This week has been incredible. From the moment KLAW was announced in March, to this final week, we've been met with a wave of enthusiasm - many people excited to write content for a character they love and miss, and many others who promoted the event, signal boosted posts, encouraged and supported their fellow creators in the making of all this content. This kind of love and support is why I love these character appreciation weeks. And I hope to see more of it soon!

We're now on our 4th day of KLAW, and the content pouring in has been brilliant so far! Everything from artwork to headcanons to fanfic - it's amazing! Can't wait to see what comes up for rh the rest of the week!!
We now move from political/kingdom-related themes to far more personal ones. Tomorrow's theme will be Liam the Friend.
Friendship is an essential component of the TRR series, and often the narrative makes the case that Liam's ability for compassion and loyalty towards his friends plays a huge role in his success as a person and as a king. Even the writers had mentioned, in their final livestream, that "the power of friendship" was an essential component of the TRR/H series. It would be truly interesting to explore his dynamics with friends, or even with people he could have a friendship with. You can explore this with someone from the core group, or even with a character we don't often see him speak with but who we can headcanon will connect with him as a friend!
If you need a little more inspiration, we'll be putting up a friendship chart you could use, or some ask games! That will be soon!
The theme, as always, is meant to be an inspiration for the day. You do not necessarily need to put up context for the exact day itself - you can always post it on a later date as long as you specify the day it was meant for! This makes it easier when we finally compile the masterlist.
Be sure to do the following when you post:

Tomorrow is our final official day of KLAW!! It's been such an incredible week with you all, and the content that's been pouring in has been fantastic. I'm so glad I got to share this with all of you 💙💙
Our very last theme is going to be about an entity we don't often see in the books: child!Liam. We do know that his younger years were years of upheaval and sometimes grief in his life, but we also know that he was a bit of a free spirit while his mother Eleanor was still alive. Think of a time in his childhood that intrigues or touches you, or headcanons you may have, and send them across!!
I'd like to note that for anyone worrying about late content: don't! Even though the week will officially be over with tomorrow, this blog will be open for a full week before the final masterlist + thank you post is put out for everyone. So if there was content you wanted to put out there but couldn't, you can still work on it this week!
The theme, as always, is meant to be an inspiration for the day rather than a set rule. It is not entirely necessary that your content needs to be sent ONLY on the day mentioned, you can always send it later as long as you mark the day you meant it for! Any form of content is also allowed for the week!
Be sure to do these things for your KLAW posts:
