The Disability Library
I love books, I love literature, and I love this blog, but it's only been recently that I've really been given the option to explore disabled literature, and I hate that. When I was a kid, all I wanted was to be able to read about characters like me, and now as an adult, all I want is to be able to read a book that takes us seriously.
And so, friends, Romans, countrymen, I present, a special disability and chronic illness booklist, compiled by myself and through the contributions of wonderful members from this site!
As always, if there are any at all that you want me to add, please just say. I'm always looking for more!
Edit 20/10/2023: You can now suggest books using the google form at the bottom!

hi! i'm buffy, a brand new indie roleplayer that focuses on writing as canon characters from my favourite fandoms! while my blog is no where near finished yet, i thought i would make a starter/plot call for when i'm ready! while i only write as canon characters, i will happily write against ocs and i'm crossover friendly (within reason). i've never done indie before and so please bare with me as i get to grips with it and learn the ropes.
i'm still setting up my muse directory, but i thought i would compile a list of the muses i write as under the read more.

The Fourth Annual Davey Awards - The Nominees!
Hello! Every year I hold the annual Davey Awards for brilliance in motion pictures that move. This is our fourth year, and it promises to be one that is a year. Let's get to the nominees. Please note that there are some big movies (The Boy and the Heron, Poor Things, The Iron Claw, Ferrari, Wonka, The Taste of Things, for example) that I haven't been able to see and won't be able to see for a while. 40-45
Tumblr media

end of year reading tag
Thank you to the lovely @athenastudying
Did you reach your reading goal for the year (if you had one)? Yes, I put my goal at a realistic 15 and so far I´m at number 16 (not counting the books I read for work)
What are your top 3 books you read this year? Probably the Achtsam Morden series (I´ll count that as one) by Karsten Dusse, Sword of Destiny by Andrzej Sapkowski and Verity by Colleen Hoover.
What’s a book that you didn’t expect to enjoy quite so much going in? Macbeth by Jo Nesbo. The beginning confused me. I went into it with my expectations way off. But the moment I realised what was going on I started genuinely enjoying it.
Were there any books that didn’t live up to your expectations? A Court of Throns and Roses. I hopped on the band waggon because of the hype without doing the tiniest bit of research first. I´m just not one for romance stories....
Did you reread any old faves? If so, which one was your favourite? Technically I reread The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke. But only because of work. I got to choose the book read with my class and picked this one, since I loved it since I was my students´ age. Thank god they enjoy it too. Mandatory literature in school can be so dull...
Did you dnf any books? I have yet to finish Why I´m No Longer Speaking To White People About Race, non-fiction just takes me forever to read. It´s just one of those things I can only enjoy in small doses.
Did you read any books outside your usual preferred genre(s)? ACOTAR and the second book in that series (Mist and Fury?), also some non-fiction: Lazos de Amor and I´m a third into Why I´m No Longer Speaking To White People About Race
What was your predominant format this year? Ebooks. The moment my lifestyle can justify getting printed books again I will.
What’s the longest book you read this year? Catherine of Medici by Cornelia Wusowski.
What are your top 3 anticipated 2022 releases? Honestly, I don´t have a list. I do however keep an eye out for a new Kai Meyer book (which usually happens more than once a year), a new Kluftinger, maybe some Neil Gaiman... Let´s see where 2022 takes us.
What books from your tbr did you not get to this year, but are excited to read in 2022? More of the Witcher saga, Six of Crows, Scythe and maybe some Reckless
I don´t have any bookish mutuals on here that I know of, so feel free to participate =)
