I will talk about Obsidian all day!!!

Obsidian/Obi is a black scaled dragonborn. His world is a lot like the dungeon meshi world mixed the standard DND, mixed with an apocalypse. It started as a dnd ox and he's evolved a lot since then.

It's very much a world this social and racial hierarchy. Dragonborns aren't commonly seen in the southern parts of the country and they are often seen are aggressive and manipulative monsters.

But Obi is a magic user. He's small for his species, silver tongued and ultra sweet, a vegetarian and a pacifist. He's also deeply insecure and self conscious.

He takes good care of his scales, so they have developed this chromatic shimmer to them. (Versus his twin brother, who has very matte, dark scales)

I’ve got to ask about Jasper and Deus, I recently read their fic and they’re living rent free in my mind. I just gotta know, does Deus only care about the keeper in regards to if they can keep the lighthouse on or not, or do they hold some fondness towards the keeper? Okay thank you bye

They definitely only give so much attention to the keeper because they're the ones that make that beautiful giant lighthouse glow each night, but as such, they wanna help the keeper be safe and comfortable in return. It's meant to be a mutually beneficial relationship, except keepers apparently don't eat piles of dead fish and also go insane with terror when encountering Deus so /:

Deus will certainly have more of a fondness for Jasper because that's the first keeper in quite some time that's been willing to give this weird trade in services a chance over an extended period of time.

so i have some Vibes from travelling to Banff and Jasper over the years that I feel like need justification and BOY are the municipal and tourism sites validating a lot of those vibes, one of which is that Banff feels like it was engineered as a resort town from the ground up and Jasper feels like a place people actually live in.

Banff sites: if you want to live here, good luck! you will suffer horribly, you will make sacrifices, and your entire life must be dedicated to serving the whims of tourists so long as it does not interfere with conservation

what tank size are you using for jasper & how does she like it? i would love to get a bearded dragon someday but i'm worried abt having enough space for a tank in apartments lol

she currently lives in this reptizoo 36 x 18 x 18 enclosure, on this imagitarium 40 gallon tank stand !

she likes her tank very much, before this one she was in a 36 x 18 x 12 and she definitely enjoys being Up off the ground and basking that way. ive moved her basking spot around a lot and she simply prefers it Higher, probably due to some instinct that a branch is closer to the sun than the dirt idk

i think her tank is technically rated higher than a 40 gallon on account of how tall it is (my brother has a 30 gallon fish tank and its about as big as two of them out together, then again i think the gallon size rating system between aquatic tanks and dry tanks is different i genuinely dont know). her tank has always either gone in my bedroom or the dining area next to the kitchen provided by most apartments. even in the smallest place ive rented since i got her ive found a good spot. keep in mind bearded dragons have excellent vision and will come to “know” people they see often, and jasper greatly enjoys watching tv and staring down people who come in. she’ll even make threat displays at people with facial hair lol

ive had so much anxiety about my cat recently. like i cant help worrying. the vet said his physical was fine but they didnt do any tests and my brains like Hes Fucked Up In Ways The Tests Would Show But A Physical Exam Wouldnt even when hes acting totally normal. bluh
