Hotel Fenton

Red Hood stared at the building that seemingly appeared out of nowhere in Crime Alley. Below his mask his eye twitched at the very elaborated and very bright shining and blinking sign on the buildings wall spelling out 'HOTEL FENTON' though it looked like the word 'HOTEL' had only been added recently. The building in itself was also strange. Red Hood was pretty sure no one would actually willingly step into a building like that.

"Are you seriously expecting to investigate this shit?" He muttered into the coms, knowing perfectly well that his brothers were watching through the integrated helm camera.

"Yep. You lost the draw." Nightwing sang from the other end of the com line. Red Hood was going to glitter bomb his Appartement later. He grumbled something inaudible once more before taking another step towards that strange building. But froze before he even set his foot completely on the ground.

A scream echoed through the building. His hand instantly went to the gun buy his side. Then a crash. Wide eyed Red Hood watched how a chair came sailing out of one destroyed window. More shouting followed now clearer. Someone was complaining loudly and...

He took a step back from the building as fire sprouted out of the broken window but before he could even tell his siblings to send back up the fire got extinguished by a sudden block of ice growing out of the window. Red Hood blinked, muttering a half hearted "Did you guys see that too..." Into his coms before the slam of the entrance door to the Building caught his attention and he came face to face with a little girl that had obviously slammed the door she was leaning against.

They stared at each other for a moment before the girl dusted herself off and grinned.

"Hi! Welcome to Hotel Fenton the place to stay for Ghosts, Shades, Undead and More! We are a little preoccupied with a some of our current guests but I am sure there is still an open place for a fellow undead and halfa in the making!"

Red Hood's eyes narrowed under his mask but before he could ask anything, a fucking man that had vague similarities to Bruce crashed through the wall cool-aid way with a good damn Talon in his arms that was obviously trying to gnaw on the arm holding it, a second man followed close behind floating and shouting vehemently that "JACK THAT IS NOT PLAY FIGHTING YOU DUMBASS! IT'S TRYING TO MAIM YOU!"

There was only one thought went through Red Hoods head at that moment, his sibling perfectly echoed over the coms.

"What the fuck?"

Any more headcanons for that oneshot you made where Bill is Ford's familiar? How does Ford react to Bill getting close to his nephew? How does Bill use this to his advantage? If Dipper can't get a slice of Bill's power, how does his magic shape up in the end?

This got longer than I wanted, so it's under a read more. Also, here's the link to the snippet in question.

I think that Dipper and Bill end up hanging out a lot, honestly. Dipper's a lonely guy, and Bill's bored out of his angles, so he's going to be on at least sorta decent behavior, since Dipper's providing more entertainment than he's had in decades. (Ford is unaware of this)

Still very much Bill, though; he absolutely tries multiple tricks in the book to try and get Dipper to break him out, or subtly trick him into getting Ford into a fatal accident. Dipper's been warned, though - I don't think any of them work!

Eventually Dipper gives in and offers a deal: He'll banish Bill back to his realm (He's been trapped in a basement for thirty years, no surprise he wants Ford dead, that sort of thing just straight-up sucks-) as long as Bill doesn't harm him or his family. Bill, once again in a terrible position to bargain, is happy to get the hell out of reality rather than be stuck in a circle for another decade or so.

This.... probably ends up in a pretty big fight between Ford and Dipper. Once he notices Bill is missing. If the Stans weren't already at odds, that'd be the kicker to set it off.

Little does Dipper know, but now that Bill's 'free' - he's gotten his stuff in order, hummed a little tune to himself - and decided it's the perfect opportunity to start courting that cute little mortal in earnest.

* Noticed how their energy is coming from the eye on their necklace instead from his head like everyone else…….hmm

HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH OC DESIGNS THEY'RE SO AWESOME!!!1!!

I was going to just be like “I just come up with silly ideas and draw them” but I feel like that’s far too vague of an answer, so here’s something a little less vague :3

Whenever I design a character, I usually just start out with a very basic character trait or two I want to incorporate somehow (extra limbs, fish tail, wacky face, etc) and start sketching out the character from the head down (though I do do legs first before arms just because I think it’s easier). Then, once I reach the body, I start looking around for clothing ideas! I usually use pinterest (it might be filled with stolen art and ai generated garbage but if you know where to look, you’ll eventually just get shown photos of clothes and accessories), specifically my pinterest board filled with clothing and accessory inspiration, and pick a few items I think look nice :3 (if you really want to be fancy, you can arrange the things you pick in a moodboard, but either way is perfectly fine!) then I just. Let my brain go off! I usually listen to music whilst I draw, so sometimes that gives me inspiration too. Sometimes i’ll add extra accessories to the character’s hair or head after i’ve already finished their design, sometimes i’ll color in the sketch before I move to the lineart, but for the most part, after I pick a few character traits and items, I just let my brain come up with whatever it thinks will look good. TV screen for a face? Sure! Shiny ears? Of course! Tail bracelets? Sure, why not!

Really, at the end of the day, most of my character design process just comes down to whatever I think looks neat :3 Just make whatever you think looks neat and have fun!! :D

right can i just. okay. lesbian is not a genre so im not looking to lump all these shows together. got that out of the way. im also not looking to pit queer people against each other so ok checking that off the list. i am however going to go ahead and throw the misogyny card out here because it’s fucking annoying how shows that center women, especially when theyre woc and/or queer, still just don’t take off even in progressive online spaces the way any shows with our darling young gay male couples will. i’m not saying that’s, like, the Cause of them being cancelled either because we’ve been shown numbers don’t matter. and many of the “”lesbian”” shows that have been cancelled were popular otherwise. just complaining xo!

Sorry I think icons and the meaning we put into symbols is one of the most interesting things about humanity…. I have a recurring fascination with the repetition of ideas through iconography and such….
