Alecto had spent the last several hours working, and also panicking. Those were her usual modes, though, so none of the anxiety was apparent on the outside. By the time the knock on her door came she was fairly sure she’d settled into a calm facade, expression barely twitching as she swung open the door wearing nothing but one of her long plum dressing gowns, embroidered with deep green and gold flowers, and lace stilettos. Well, there was some lacey frippery beneath it passing for lingerie, but she wasn’t planning on flashing the whole street. 

“Malcolm,” she grinned, tapping her nails against the doorway. God, but Malcolm Greengrass was pretty. No, stop, don’t think about how pretty he is you’ll make yourself panic again. “Come in. There are drinks in the kitchen.”

Raúl arrived in New York early in the day from Hawaii. He is visiting his uncle who has been battling a sickness. Making sure that the older man’s medication is up to date, Raúl is taking his uncle to the city very early tomorrow morning for a follow-up.

Raúl is still surprised that his client and now husband, Connor, allowed him to go home to New York for a couple of days. He doesn’t even remember when the conversation occurred or what exactly he told Connor, but the businessman reminded him to buy his tickets for his visit back home...

He told Connor before he left that he’s only going to be gone for three days, four days max, but his client insisted that he take his time with his family and to stay for the entire week...
