Shaktism (doctrine of energy, power, the eternal goddess), is one of several major Hindu denominations, wherein the metaphysical reality is considered metaphorically a woman and Maha Devi Shakti is regarded as the supreme godhead. It includes many goddesses, all considered aspects of the same supreme goddess. Shaktism has different sub-traditions, ranging from those focused on most worshipped Durga, gracious Parvati to that of fierce Kali. According to a 2010 estimate by Johnson and Grim, Shaktism is the third largest Hindu sect, constituting about 30 million or 3.2% of Hindus.

Parvati - She is kind and tender and represents motherhood

Kali - Goddess of Time, Change, Creation, Power, Destruction and Death
Many Hindus worship Shakti as the divine mother who calls for absolute surrender. Yogis regard Shakti as the power, lying dormant within the body as a coiled serpent (kundalini), that must be aroused and realized to reach spiritual liberation. Shaktism is an essential part of Hindu Tantra, a system of practices involving the worship of the goddess and designed to empower and release both mind and body.
In popular worship, the goddess Shakti is known by many names; Hindus regard all female deities as her different manifestations and may refer to her simply as Devi (Goddess).

Ammavaru - according to Hindu belief, she is an ancient goddess who laid the egg that hatched Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu. "Amma" means mother. She is thought to have existed before the beginning of time.

As Tripura Sundari, she is the complete supreme form. Here, she's enthroned with her left foot upon the Sri Chakra, holding her traditional symbols, the sugarcane bow, flower arrows, noose and goad.

Her father taught her that it was okay to be curious. Her father also taught her that there were consequences to being curious and that Usagi needed to be okay with them. She couldn't say that she always was, but she bore the consequences gracefully. Interposing herself between Indrani and Tou-san was a risk, and she felt her heart flutter when Tou-san turned away, placing the scalpel on the tray to leave Usagi alone in the room with Indrani.
"Icchan," she tugged at the immobilization seal on Indrani's chest. "Icchan come on we have to be ready." Her golden eyes flicked around the surgical suite, cataloging the amount of stuff that Tou-san had left in the room. Indrani shivered as the seal came off and she swung her legs over the side of the table, eyes dark and hazy as the pain finally caught up. "....'sagi?"
She opened her mouth to explain and then whited out, slamming her eyes shut as if that would stop any of the ragingly vicious chakra that was unleashed and overwhelming her senses. Over her head Indrani sucked in a breath and gripped her shoulders, forcing Usagi to look at her. Usagi shook her head and moved, dragging Indrani out the door and up the steps of the small facility on the edge of the forest where they've both been for years. The forest is mostly destroyed, and the raging chakra monster overhead is enough reason for Usagi to make the step and stumble into the outskirts of Konoha with Indrani, praying that this would be enough to let them both be free. Indrani stumbled over some roots and rocks, guiding Usagi away from the fight.
The shinobi of Konoha were more invested in the destruction overhead than two figures slipping through the break in the walls.

“Did you somehow lose a fight with your bedframe?” Maryam asked, lips twitching. He glared halfheartedly at the Triglau. She sounded amused, because Tristan was cursed to be surrounded by women who took delight in his pain. He sometimes suspected he might have crossed some great god of femininity in a previous spin of the Circle.
This isn’t over, Maryam mouthed to him from across the table. Chwop billy tang, the thief mouthed back, nonsense just legible enough she’d think she had failed to read his lips right.
“First off, there is no such thing as a good gambling number,” he firmly replied. “And second it’s the worst possible luck, Song. We might as well just name ourselves ‘those unlucky bastards’.” Maryam cleared her throat meaningfully. “Women can be bastards too, Maryam,” the gray-eyed man amiably informed her. “You’re letting us all down, Tristan,” Maryam said. “Just gird your loins and call me a bitch.” “I’m not going to do that,” he replied.
“I have been invited to an evening of light refreshments,” Angharad said. “A grave peril indeed,” Tristan opined. Maryam swallowed a grin. Ever quick to bite, her viper.
“Don’t worry,” the gray-eyed man smiled. “You’ll hardly even notice I’m there.” Maryam leaned his way. “I could do with a spare cloak,” she whispered. “Try to find out if there’s a pawnshop,” he whispered back, “and if they take silverware.”
I love these two so much
