20 questions for fic authors

i saw ur tag in the morning when i woke up nessa and then i completely forgot. BUT THANK U FOR THINKING OF ME!!!! i don't really want to tag anyone bc its a bit scary. but eros and duo if u see this... perhaps this might interest u to do it

1. How many fics do you have on ao3?

46 ! and maybe like 20 which existed on ao3 at some point but got deleted by oj for one reason or another.

2. What's your total ao3 word count?

96 365... the oj does not write long things

3. What fandoms do you write for?

mostly project moon these days. and mostly limbus bc (inferno pink grabs me by the throat)

if i didnt feel like it was pointless id probably write for a larger variety of stuff bc the oj brain is full of self insert stuff. but it doesnt rly matter

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

the wine on your skin (137) gonna shrimp myself over that one bc it was my first and probably shittiest smut. but its smut in a large fandom (fire emblem) so it attracted people i guess

yeah dante's fine. what do you mean they're at -45 sanity you're lying (132) IM GLAD PEOPLE LIKED THAT ONE it was a lot of fun. and nice people cared about a dante centric fic with abnos:) (but also still mad as hell over that thing with the guy taking one of the concepts and clearly saying it was from another fic while categorically refusing to actually name it lol)

do NOT wake the manager up. YES they fell asleep on the job but they're REAL comfy right now do NOT disturb them (117) i can't tell if people get attracted by the funny titles or bc they see there are more characters besides faust and dante. bc i know people are NOT coming for them.

i'll always be there (104) a short manuleth fic... im glad there are manuleth likers out there. that professor loves that doctor ok

and they'll fall in love with her again and again (88) people liked the exploration of IDs... its kinda debunked now but it was still fun

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I USUALLY DO unless i find the comment weird. but if its rly weird i usually straight up delete it lol but otherwise i reply to comment if only to thank people for taking the time to leave one. its a tough world out there for attention starved writer

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

id argue the angstiest i have is one of my deleted ones where i straight up killed a char and the fic was all about everyone else's grief it was depressing lol otherwise theres the obvious silver snow edeleth angst but its kinda whatever. the backward clock chapter of the dante abnos fic was rly good imo. the nothing there one too. the inferno pink confession fic too.... ough...

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

SCORCHED GIRL & ANGELA FIC GOT ME FUCKED UP MAN. FOUND FAMILY BETWEEN THE FUCKED UP LITTLE GIRL AND THE ANDROID

8. Do you get hate on fics?

nah. thank god i dont i think id nuke my ao3 on the spot i already explode over weird comment

i smack my faust and dante dolls together

i used the be rly scared of smut now im a free little oj. it gets horny sometimes but also im rly vanilla so its usually very sweet.

funnily enough i dont rly have wips bc i only start things when im REALLY motivated and i usually dont write things long enough that id drop them mid way. so none

16. What's your writing strengths?

being straight to the point maybe. idk. i mean my whole style is about short sentences and descriptions and just giving enough to get the feelings and vibes and idk. like i dont spend a paragraph talking about the weather thats not my style.

i like to think im good at sounding like chars too. if its the chars i like at least. or i hope at least. maybe its all in my head.

17. What's your writing weaknesses?

im rly bad at writing things that require more description... stuff that i cant just move on from or write by sprinkling lil actions between dialogues... like say. a fight scene. im rly bad at it

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

i mean if the char actually speaks in another language usually and mixes it with the translated language or whatever sure. itd make sense i have no issue with it

19. First fandom you wrote for?

long ago i wrote stuff for shin megami tensei 4. but i think even before that i wrote lil danganronpa drabbles that never got posted anywhere. also technically i wrote a story about vocaloids for an english assignment in middle school. does that count

20. Favorite fic you've ever written?

idk if its a favorite but im like. rly fond of "hello doctor, it's me again. i missed you." bc its the fic i probably put the most effort in. longest and multi chapters and like. id started writing it two years prior to when i finished it and id written like. a chapter and a half on paper during breaks in college and never did anything with it. and two years later when i was sorting my stuff i had these papers and wanted to throw them away so i was like ill type this out on puter at least before that. and then i ended up motivating myself to finish it and i was rly proud of it... oj is still rly sad it didnt get that much attention in the end.

otherwise oj rly likes her angela & abno fics:) shes happy with them. and also stuff ive written for duo! i think its cute and i had a lot of fun with them

What’s something new that you tried in a fic this year in 2023? How did it turn out and would you do it again?

writing the 5 stages of grief in my fic of gojo grieving geto. it turned out well and fun, i would absolutely do it again

2. How many fics did you work on this year (2023)? (They don’t have to be finished or published!)

9-10 including wips/ongoing multichaps😭

3. What’s something you learned about yourself as a writer?

i learnt that out of all the parts of writing, im most drawn to and best at exploring emotions. i write best when im really feeling the emotions of a scene and fic. but this also means idk how to do plot or action even tho i would love to, and anything other than introspection/character study is a struggle for me (again, even tho i would love to learn how to do all those other things) 😭

i also learnt that sometimes when i have writer's block for longer than a month, i may need to read a new book to "fill up my well". and that i need to push past my brain's automatic thoughts of "oh i wouldn't be able to write it" and just try + give it time, bc sometimes smth that i think i can't write or that i blank on, starts coming to it after a while (even if a month or even year later)

i also rly need to be less impatient (thanks adhd brain lol) to rush through writing just for the sake of finishing and instead carefully edit more rounds before posting. and that adhd makes it harder for me to sit there and write for more than a short while so i need to find ways to make it interesting for myself.

i'm not sure... maybe my hualian space/dr who au although that gave me stress too or my fanghua reunion/llh introspection fic

showhonon! im very sad today so im just going to leave this here, an atla!au showho where wonho is a waterbender and is a healer(?) and shownu is either a fire/earthbender (im not sure yet because tbh i kind of want him to be an airbender too?) but for now fire/earth who trains alot; gets bruises/burns so wonho has to heal him alot nd is fed up w his boyf constantly getting hurt until one day theres war. shownu has to fight in it nd eventho wonhos fighting too hes not in the frontlines :(

2/2 (forgot to put 1/2 in the first half ) and i kind of want this to be angsty but w a happy ending. idk why i can imagine wonho cradling a badly burned/injured shownu desperately holding back his tears as he heals him. (i've been watching war related movies im sorry) (also i hate angst because it hurts but im in an angsty mood so,,)

hi showhonon!!! firstable i hope u feel better soon D: !!! watch some mx or vines (those always cheer me up!!) or brooklyn 99 is a show i recommend to watch !! its really lighthearted and funny nd its serious but at the right times :D !!! feel better i love u !!!!

also another idea :0 !!! mayb wonho is from the northern water tribe so mayb he could descend from royalty ,,, ? nd thus mayb not be Very Experienced w war / w being hurt but he is very familiar w healing nd shownu could b from the poorer side of the earth kingdom/the outskirts of the fire nation so hes familiar w fighting to survive... nd they meet by chance :0 ... nd wonho doesnt understand why shownu trains so brutally but he heals him anyway but the healing sessions are always tense nd upsetting bc wonho wants to say things but keeps quiet nd shownu doesnt want to upset the silence so he stays quiet too

then war comes around nd shownu’s gone for longer periods of time but he always comes back but worse than it was before . eventually they both relocate (out of safety) to one of the resistance camps nd stay there together nd wonho joins the medical team nd shownu’s part of the fighter team nd its just,,, one day theres a Rly Bad fight nd everyone that went off to fight that battle either comes back badly injured or dead and wonho is attending to everyone he can and looking for shownu amongst the people who returned but he cant find him at all so hes asking everyone like “have you seen shownu ???” but everyones either telling him they didnt or they saw him in the frontlines but that was it

out of desperation wonho leaves to find shownu himself nd he stumbles across a ruined town,,, like,,, Burnt 2 the foundations ruined and he looks in every hollowed out building until he comes across shownu slumped against a crumbling wall, cradling his stomach nd wonho immediately rushes to heal him but its Bad nd wonho is so desperate 2 do Something nd he just tells shownu he’s so stupid for being so reckless nd shownu’s literally Knocked out but wonho just keeps rambling as he passes water back and forth until theres nothing else he can do

some ppl banded together 2 look for survivors nd stumble across shownu nd wonho nd take them back to camp and wonho literally Never leaves shownu’s side as he heals up nd cant even find it in him to get mad when he wakes up but its okay because at least hes Awake ,,,,,

Lucien

dark night fireworks- my first (published) mlqc fic <333 2nd person and entirely too pretentious (rumor has it even the author doesn’t really know what she was trying to convey except. n e u r o s c i e n c e and MEMORY is cool). slight spoilers for ch.16

watch the universe expand- a long, rambly attempt to explore lucien’s character and also evolutionary biology and evols told through excessive metaphor and bedtime stories. spoilers for lucien’s childhood and ch.13. im proud of this one ^^ though there is a lot of projection involved. also lucien is an enneagram five.

to dwell on- c: lucien and homes and him and mc being soft together that’s it <3 or in more coherent language some bittersweet fluff for lucien’s bday based on moments from his mini-house and his most recent bday karma + date. in hindsight i’ve realized i didn’t use his or MC’s name at all outside of dialogue LOL

king lear and other tragedies- a prompt for the librarian ask meme linked above! im p sure anon prompted me a month before i got around to actually writing an answer hndkslgj but. here we are. shakespeare and tragedies and parallels between characters and a lot of pretentious dialogue, meant to be an extension of/missing scene after lucien’s theater date. this only rly exists bc of a single line in the date mentioning the production being put on was king lear and i took that and ran for all it was worth

Gavin

just a summer thing- a short little scenario that manifested in my head one warm summer night when i should’ve been sleeping and my first foray into domestic!gavin territory <333 i’d say it’s probably one of my lightest fics, if not the lightest ahfksldg (also heavily inspired by the way @belovedstill writes gavin/mc pst basia’s fics are to die for)

under a golden sun- high school era gavin, MC and minor! originally intended for gavin’s bday except (1) i didn’t finish on time LOL and (2) the fic never mentions his bday oops. also in 2nd person though if you asked why i couldn’t tell you it just felt more right. ft. basketball and memories and a bit of bittersweet nostalgia. simultaneously has some of what i think is my weakest writing (in terms of pacing/consistent tone imo) and some of my favorite lines i’ve ever written for a gavin fic and i’ve come to appreciate it more over time bc of that c:

today, this is the whole universe (and that’s okay)- gavin, MC, and domestic, sleepy sundays. and a long ao3 title that’s it that’s the fic (narrator: and then, she never wrote anything purely fluffy ever again). heavily inspired by gavin’s sleepy morning asmr and that one clip of his cn voice actor playing/humming his theme (aka soft soft SOFTEST) also just. i said it already but all of my domestic!gavin is inspired by and exists thanks to the breathtaking writing of @belovedstill <333

in the wind- a semi(?)exploration of gavin’s wind but also just him loving mc bc that’s what he and his evol are all about. short and bittersweet <3 (if anyone’s keeping track i think this is where my writing starts to lean more on the uhhh descriptive side and becomes less dialogue-based? or i feel there’s a diff from this writing style compared to the earlier gavin fics (besides parts of under a golden sun) which is just interesting for me to think about but not relevant to the fic itself ahfklsdf)

winter’s end- winter world!gavin and mc and a softer, more bittersweet reunion. m a j o r spoilers for ch.22 and what comes before. also gavin’s past. it hurt to write and apparently hurts to read b u t there’s a happy ending. i promise c:

sunrise to noon- a secret santa fic that ended up being less holiday related than I originally intended but like all things domestic and Gavin I think it works well as it is <3 just tender winter mornings and domesticity and the return of my fluff writing

Kiro

falling down the stairs of your smile- this was a prompt for the librarian prompt meme and doesn’t have an official title on the ask but here’s the title in all its long all-lowercase ao3 glory. basically the first few chapters from kiro’s perspective with slight spoilers from his past! kiro is such a joy to write and i love this a lot and im super glad i got the opportunity to write this (the waY i banged this out in one night when i got the ask askfsdkfksl)

Of Corgis and Christmas- a secret santa present for a victor stan that conjured some fluffy victor writing from my victor-less heart,,, a christmas miracle aND im lowkey proud of how it turned out but the highlights of the fic are Goldman and Cindy T-T they deserve more screentime and someday. i will write the subplot that got cut where Goldman sends Cindy embarrassing Victor stories to try to impress her and MC helps :>

spend my whole life searching- i combined 2 victor librarian asks from the librarian prompt meme above would u believe he's the only suitor I got twice 😔 this man is so popular and for what (only kidding ahdjdjs we just have a relationship of mutual disapproval dont mind me dragging him just a little i need to compensate for the appreciation I developed for him while writing this :>) this is similar to the kiro librarian fic in that it kinda gives vic's perspective on victor/MC's first in-game meeting with a healthy dose of and they were soulmates and angsty longing™ and also. victor is an enneagram one

UHM ! im a really messy writer haha ! n it’s not like i follow any guidelines or anything but i guess what helps me:

i keep multiple caches of writing inspiration that im always always adding 2. like i have a blog full of misc poetry and prose, multiple lists on my phone of good phrases ive read in fics, another list of song lyrics that ive heard (or misheard sometimes haha) 4 the same reason... i read a lot of poetry and underline my favourite parts so i can go back n flip thru the books later. i also buy a lot of those cheap second-hand poetry books so i can pour over them and scavenge anything good. i mean a lot of them fucking suck but sometimes SOMETIMES u can find the most beautiful verses in the shittiest poetry

i mean obviously i do all that cuz i really like creative writing !!!! like u don’t have 2 go as crazy as me if u JUST want to improve ur prose but maybe consider keeping a writing insp blog if u don’t have 1 already cuz i find they rly do help !!!!

while compiling these lists i don’t just look 4 pretty sentences but how they r structured... alliteration, repetition, run-on sentences vs. short & choppy

i usually aim 4 the middle ground b/t nice imagery n enjoyable sentence structure cuz i find both r equally powerful. e.g. sometimes i sub out a word i really like w one that has more/less syllables cuz it reads better. sometimes i read a sentence out loud to see how it rolls off the tongue. usually im very lazy and don’t bother trying that hard

i try n learn from other authors what works/doesn’t work in their writing. e.g. one of my friends/an author i rly like uses these bold sentences that just sucker punch u in the gut, which is a style i’ve tried 2 incorporate in my own work. another (fic) author i like sometimes uses phrases that read too much like song lyrics, which i dont particularly care 4 and thus try 2 be more conscious abt avoiding

uhm i do stream of consciousness writing when i get stuck... if ur not familiar w the technique, essentially u set a timer for X amount of minutes (i usually go for 20 but burn out by 10-15 hahah) n then write nonstop during that time. the key is 2 just spew out whatever’s on ur mind, even if it’s bs like “im writing im writing here i am typing words,” n u don’t stop for the allotted amount of time ! usually by the end i have enough scaffolding to get back into the groove of my work or at least some nice sentences to rework into something more coherent...

im just gonna do headcanons for rn but maybe eventually ill write this as a fic

inspired by the fact i May or May Not be going to disneyworld for a few days this summer ;)))

so its the final few weeks of senior year right

and idk lets just say ur all going to separate colleges but ur gonna make it work

so its just. the three of u sitting in michaels basement, the usual spot, with u lying across their laps just havin a good time (havin a good time), ignoring the struggles from graduation practice that morning because ugh

you three are just. all watching movies n chillin together, havin a lil night in rather than wandering the town Again (which basically means y’all end up in the mall before going to get fast food n then crashing in michaels basement)

and its just gotten quiet for a bit and maybe the topic of a roadtrip comes up in the movie

and all of a sudden u just feel michael, whos been leaning into the couch pretty heavily, sit straight up

and u look up

“you good?” “we should take a roadtrip.”

jeremy and u both exchange a look

“what” “cmon!!! we should take a roadtrip together before summers over.”

“where?”

michael goes silent

“disney world?”

aw fuck he got u there. disney world is fuckin dope.

“… with what money?” “aw, c’mon - we’ve all been working. plus my moms will definitely pitch in since they love you nerds.”

jeremy, whos been typing something into his phone for the past like 30 seconds: orlandos a 16 hour drive

“so we’ll take turns! we each drive for like.. five hours.”

“disneys really expensive, michael.”

he just kinds. frowns a lil bit w a soft “okay”

u and jeremy exchange yet another look

“i can ask my dad if he can help out…” jeremy starts. its just 2 against 1 now.

u sigh and sit up, “i guess ill talk to mine too.”

michaels immediately fuckin excited again

i like to imagine you and jeremy both have jobs while michael Doesnt bc his moms make pretty fuckin good money and he just hasnt had the need to like. Do That.

so its just. ok guess we’ll save as much as we fuckin can.

long story short, through the miracle of your parents all agreeing to help out where they can, you all save money n get disney tickets asap and figure things out

it turns from “lets just drive 16 hours in one day, pass out in a hotel, and then go to disney” to “maybe we should stop somewhere and sleep after like. 10 hours.” to “nah man we can handle it.”

and basically: y’all literally leave early in the morning so that you can get to the hotel at a reasonable time, maybe grab some food, and then pass the fuck out

michael probs drove the most out of the three of you - his car, his idea, he might as well take the most

leaving u and jeremy to basically dj the entire trip

haha jokes on y’all the trip took longer than the 16 and a half that google projected for y’all bc… stops for food n bathroom breaks and stuff.

good thing y’all absolutely left at like 2 am lmao

u three get to the hotel n honestly michael probably passes out the moment he hits the mattress

u and jeremy just. look at each other, exhausted

before deciding

yeah we’ll just. eat in the morning

which leads to a fuckin DOPE cuddle session between the three of u before y’all fall asleep

As I said, I wanted my review to be full and for your eyes only. But... Okey. Never mind. Since The Devil skates on thin ice is officially over, I think I’m ready to write my little review. Not so little tbh. 🤣 (1)

First of all, I wanna say that your style of writing is really stands out of all fic writers because of alikeness with literature. I mean it’s really classy and reminds me of all books that I’ve read not only in English but in my mother language. Full of this beautiful descriptions, metaphors and other stylistic things. (2)

Every time I read stories written by you I found something new to me.Like new words or phrases.And at the same time I can find so many common grounds.I can’t stop wondering,my mother language and English are so alike.It’s like I finally can believe that all languages were one language back then.“Anyway,prepare yourself;this is going to get long, and it’s strewn with angst.”-I think this phrase could be used as description for the whole story. U almost made me cry by the end. (3)

The plot isn’t so unique. I mean, lots of authors write stories from lovers to enemies and back. But I love your choice of AU. Everybody usually choose basketball for Yoongi. And I enjoyed that u somehow choose my cup of tea. I’m in love with ice. I’m not rly into winter but ice is definitely my thing. (4)

[I cut out a few parts here just because this was going to be too long! But the story about you and your friend was really sweet; I’m glad you had someone like them by your side during that time!]

Min Yoongi. To be honest if I saw this guy in flesh, I mean your Yoongi, I would definitely fall for him completely. He has almost everything that I like in man. Confident, strong, with right thoughts, loyal, able to wait till right moment, passionate, man of an action first of all. I see real life Yoongi this kind of man as well but... He isn’t suitable for an ice hockey. Too thin and short. It isn’t stop me from likening him anyway. (8)

Lead fem. It’s definitely me. Like almost 100%. I use phrase “keyword ....” like a lot. It’s one of my favorite. And another thing that makes us so alike - our love for ice and figure skating. I was and I’m still madly in love with this sport. And we both came through trauma. But I can’t fully recover from it emotionally. I’m still afraid of doing some tricks. Specially Lutz and Axel. (9)

She is stronger than me. And I can say that jumps are one of the hardest things in figure skating besides spins. You need to put a lot of effort to make it beautiful and right. Like u have to be fast and jump really high to make it correctly. Other characters. They support and show us other sides of main characters like the extras should do. Specially I love that u put members of other kpop bands into your story. Like Yugyeom and others. (10)

My favorite scenes. First one on skating rink. It was at the very beginning of the story. When they were arguing. God it was cool. But I’m too Dory to remember all the things that I like in this one. Another one is scene at Yoongis room when he was thinking about the night when ice starts to melt a little. And I’ll add a scene on the roof to this one as well. (11)

Third one is a memory of the past with hair scrunchie. Whole scene made me so soft. G O D. It’s too romantic for my lonely ass. And ultimate fav the scene before an accident. It’s so adorable and once again reminds me of me and my friend a little cause we were found of skating catch game. Like who is fast enough to run away from another and last longer. (12)

One of the things that really bothered me was Olympic team. To be exact if I’m not mistaken usually Olympic team includes only best members of every single team. I mean every single athlete who suits the team by the level of experience and abilities. The whole team which won some championship or something can’t become an Olympic team. But maybe this rule works only in my country. 🤷🏼‍♀️ (13)

Another thing is little lack of experience or knowledge about both kinds of sports. I’m really into ice hockey and figure skating and some things weren’t exactly right. Specially about hockey. The game is really fast and if u ever had seen it’s live you understand that even a defenseman is able to score. Btw the game could be dirty like members of both teams are always fighting and got ejected. But most people doesn’t even know simple terminology of the game. So I just deal with it. (14)

I’m not trying to criticize you at all and I mean no disrespect to you when Im saying this but... Some things are a little far from reality but it’s a fiction so it’s okey. One more thing is you need to shovel the snow to skate on the lake. And it was never mentioned. (16)

I know it from my experience because I had to shovel the snow away to skate on the river. And it was really hard. But it was also unforgettable to skate on rivers ice surrounded by trees covered in pure white snow. It was like I was in The Snow Queens winter land from Hans Christian Andersen tale. (17)

Anyway you did your job so well. I really enjoyed this story. You are such a good teller and I love it so much. Also you made me wanted to go to the skating rink. It’s a good sign cause my acting teacher said that the art should make such impact on human beings to do something. I haven’t been on a skating rink like for year and a half. But I will go there this Sunday for sure. (18)

I can definitely say that I’m so thankful to this plagiarism thing cause it lead me to such a good authors and people. You all inspire me to write. Like I already was a ficwriter, but since I found all of you I wanted to try to write something in English as well. And I did but I’m scared to death to show it. I’m pretty sure in my abilities in my language but English is a whole different story. (19)

I’m waiting for the “We were made out of stars” series, cause it’s reminds me of Hancock movie with Will Smith. I rly love this film and your short story was so alike with its plot but without any superpowers and stuff. Another thing that it’s reminds me of is a novel by Hilary Duff-Elixir. It also was about remembering past lives and all this things. So I’m looking forward to this to come out. As for your criticisms, that’s fair. I’ve actually never seen snow in my entire life and I’ve only been ice-skating once or twice on an artificial rink, so my personal experience is highly lacking. I tried to do as much research as I could without spending hours pouring over information and watching videos that were only going to be attributed into less than a paragraph, though that clearly wasn’t enough. But, as you said, this is just fan fiction and it’s only something that I’m doing for fun and to build my writing skills, so certain details and facts are going to be glossed over—whether it be intentionally or unintentionally!!

To answer ur question id really really love more parts and a sequel series too.(so no epilogue ig?). The only way i was thinking of there to be a sequek was if it was set yrs in the future when most of their kids are in their early 20s/late teens maybe? That way they're not as much helen and Troy's responsibility, and the two of them can lead their oen lives. Idk just a suggestion, you do what feels right to u tho obv!

I’ve been having trouble writing an ending to this. Helen has grown so much and I’m so proud of her I just want to see her grow more. I know she’s at the point that if the cycle of abuse continues Troy is dead and this story arc ends. I don’t want it to end dark. So I’m trying to find a way for Troy to finally grow up and catch up with her.

Idk if I have a sequel series in me right now, between the us election and my personal life idk how healthy this verse is for me emotionally right now. I’m getting drained but after a break I’d love to see how they’re doing down the road after what I have planned for the next 2-3 chapters.

I have a few short fics in the Harry Potter fandom and maybe a teen wolf fic as a sort of darkness cleansing excersise. But maybe the end of 2020 will bring sequel inspiration for this fic?

the first multi-chapter non-fic story i wrote was in 6th grade where this chubby black girl named Ariette goes to hang out w her internet friend Robyn for the summer n they find a mermaid on the beach and they take her back to Robyn’s house n they keep her in his bathtub…her name is K’loshekh Haddok Sheik McCarppal the Third and she was half-longhorn cowfish (this story is the reason why theyre my fave kind of fish!!) and at first Ariette is opposed to have K’loshekh around but they eventually fall in Gay Gay Love and then K’loshekh has to leave cuz she cant live in the fuckn bathtub forever + ariette has to return to her own state n its tragic oh noooo

there was this mediocre story i had in 7th grade where it was supposed to be a parody of love triangles where theres this girl named Juniper Yun Lee n shes got these two friends Miles and Beckett n at first u think Miles n Beckett are Super Straight n like her but shes aro n not interested n it turns out theyre gay for each other n YES this was inspired by that one popular tumblr post,,,,,,the characters n plot were p decent but the actual writing was TRASH n i refuse to go in that google doc to this day

i had this story that i liked a lot in 8th grade that i loved loved loved to death (and i still luv) called Under Our Sugarfrosted Skies where a right-brain transboy artist named Caden Faye meets this hardworking left-brain chef named Leo King and they fall in love p fast n its just them bein gay,,,, theres a lot of b-plot,,,,,and a lot of side characters like Caden’s cool-ass older brother who lives w him n took him in after their parents ditched Caden cuz of his transness n hes a multilingual photographer n they own a cat named Potato (Po for short), and a bipolar tall writer chick named Madelyn Powers whos cousins w Leo n she has heterochromia iridium (one green eye, one brown eye), her n leo live together too n shes friends w Hudson since high school n her n hudson are the reason why caden n leo even meet,,,,,,n idk, like leo n caden were just my Signature Gay Couple™ way back when but i drew them more than i wrote about them tbh so i gave up on that story but i luv it to death tbh

in 9th grade i had this weird story (also inspired by a popular tumblr post) where a college student joined this league of supervillains cuz the leaders were her teachers n she needed extra credit and she ends up being gay for her properly-aged superhero nemesis who is also apart of a league led by college teachers,,,,,the main character was a latino girl who named herself Comet cuz it was a first-person POV n she refused to give her real name away, the leader of the supervillains was a cold, stern black woman who turned villain cuz the heroes couldnt save her beloved 9year old daughter,,,,the leader of the superheroes is an autistic asian lady who loves water and she ends up being gay w the stern black lady,,,,,,,,the nemesis is a blonde super-optimistic sunshine girl w a pixie cut,,,,,theyre all adorable n My Actual Children

early 10th grade i had this story that ive put on hiatus but plan to return to soon,,,its about a senator whos expelled from her job n divorced not too long after that (both for whatever reason i still have yet to decide) so shes left on the streets jobless n homeless. luckily, after a couple months of living on her own, she finds out that her hipster brother that she hasnt rly been in contact w for the past however many years is willing to keep her under his roof for as long as it takes for her to get back on her feet so she makes her way to his small countryside town n lives there for a lil while. she picks up a job as a librarians assistant while she lives there n learns to chill out since she was so uptight n stressed out all the time before, she just kinda unwinds n finally learns who she is as a person since she put that off for so many years. theres also OF COURSE a super gay b-plot where theres this kid named Jonah whos always visiting the library to check out academic books n junk and also theres this rly eccentric woman named Atlas who works at the local coffeeshop that the ex-senator visits on her lunch break. the ex-senator starts striking up a convo w Jonah n they soon become unlikely pals n she finds out that Atlas!! is jonahs mom!! n her n atlas also end up bein gay for one another n also jonah is aro

NOW WE REACH MY CURRENT STORY WHICH I AM?? OBSESSED W??? ik yall stopped reading this post 50k words ago but i have a blog dedicated to it!! shoutout to that blog @virtuefall and, of course, its called Virtue Fall,,,,its basically me dipping my toe in the waters of Fantasy stories cuz of TAZ.. it started out as a completely different story but morphed itself into the Beauty™ that it is atm..spoilers ahead in case any of yall actually do end up reading it idk but its about this middle-aged half-elf woman named Belyeras Chandler whose children get stolen n she embarks on a quest to find them n along the way she picks up a rad-ass squad that becomes her family (an eccentric female orc named Oghash who has trust issues, pacifist tendencies, and some rad-ass clothes; a pair of twin human detectives named Lucan n Luusi, one of which is awkward n self-conscious n a warrior, the other is a charismatic, silver-tongued, deceiving, anxious, chronic-lying wizard; a bounty hunter drow sorcerer named Selakiir who only loves money n cryptids [n later on, lucan]) and basically spoiler alert selakiirs target that hes after is the head of a cult n guess what? that cult is the same one that stole belyeras’ children n theres this big showdown n BIG SPOILERS AHEAD luusi dies along the way, belyeras’ children are killed to summon a god to their plane of existence but their plane isnt meant to have a god in it so reality starts to tear itself apart and selakiirs apart of a destined bloodline so This is His Moment and he rescues everybdoy by somehow repairing reality itself in that moment when no one else could……lucan leaves the scene once everything calms down, blaming belyeras for the death of his sister, and he n selakiir eventually fall in love and get married. belyeras refuses to let oghash go on any more dangerous adventures so they move in together and are platonic soulmates until one of them dies. ALSO literally everybody has a tragic backstory yikes belyeras had an alcoholic ex-wife, oghash grew up w suuuuuuper over-controlling parents n heavy expectations n social norms that she couldnt live up to cuz of her pacifistic tendencies so she stole a portion of her parents money n ran far far away, luusi was the least fave child cuz shes suuuuuuuuuuuuuuper awkward so her parents felt uncomfortable having her represent the family/continue the bloodline so they loved lucan more n neglected luusi which led to major insecurity issues n competitiveness in luusi n there had been high high expectations for lucan so hes accustomed to major anxiety and lying/acting/supression n internalizing emotions, selakiir was sent away from the underdark to a public school in a decent land so he faced major discrimination as the literal only dark creature in the school……Yikes
