I'm playing through the Mass Effect trilogy with my girlfriend who knows nothing about the series except what I've infodumped to her on 3am voicechats and we just finished ME1 and I cannot tell you how beyond excited I am to be sharing this experience with her these are some of my favorite games of all fucking time

Also I felt so deliciously evil bc I made sure to build up Kaidan and Ashley the entire time and subtly get her opinion on who she liked better and what she liked about them and then when we got to The Choice on Virmire I just looked over and said "Which one" and the fucking look on her face when she realized we could only save one was so fucking worth it

After a few minutes of waiting, you heards footsteps coming up from the basement. You looked adn see Leon and Ada who's smiling at each other with the supplies in their hands. “So… It's a date, then?” Leon tried to lower his voice, but you can hear him clearly. You were stunned by what he just said: ‘What…? A d-date? What is he saying?’ You couldn't help but feel saddened and jealous that Leon asked Ada out on a date. You try to hide your emotions and pretend to be happy for them, but deep down, you wish it was you in Ada's place. Too many thoughts were running through your mind. “I'll think about it.” Ada smirked at him before letting go of the supplies and leaving the cabin. “Did something happened?” you finally spoke with a fake smile. He soon then turned to face you “Ah, Nothing, We found a first aid kit. Do you mind aiding Ashley's wound in her hand?” He gave you a smile, handing the aid kit to you that you soon took it. “Thank You… I'll aid her injury… and Thank you for saying me back there…” You felt grateful for his help and kindness that's what you liked about him. He smiled, you went to Ashley to tend her wound which was pretty easy.

After aiding Ashley's injury, you suggested she go to sleep and reassured her that you'd be just outside to  get some fresh air. You walked out of the cabin and took a deep breath, feeling the cool breeze on your face. As you stood there, you realized how much you needed this moment of solitude to clear your head. But then you heard giggles coming from your left, your head immediately turned where the sound was coming from.

 Your eyes widened at the scene you were seeing right now, you thought Ada left the cabin but she was instead has wrapped her arms around Leon's neck giggling. “A date huh?” she said, “Yeah, after this. What? Not fond of dates?” he said jokingly. You can't believe what's happening… The man you had a crush on has been taken away from you. What does Ada have that I don't? Me and Leon have been partners on missions over a year… Why Ada? She's rarely seeing Leon. You bowed your head down feeling sad and dissapointed… You wished that you have just confessed your feeling for him but you were scared getting rejected. Maybe it is better to just keep your feelings to yourself and cherish the moments you did get to spend with him. But seeing them getting along makes your heart ache… Looking at them again, now, they were kissing… It made your eyes sore, that you almost want to cry.

Small tears were starting to come out from your eyes, you immediately turned around and walked away, feeling a mix of sadness and anger. You couldn't bear to witness their affection for each other any longer, it was too painful to watch. “Y/n? Is that you?” you stopped in your tracks when you heard Luis calling you. You don't want to talk to him right now, You take a deep breath and turn around, trying to keep your composure. "What do you want, Luis?" you ask, your voice betraying your annoyance. “Woah there seňorita! What happened?” he said approaching you, you looked away from him. “Nothing…” You sensed that he knew something was bothering you and you didn't want to burden him with your problems. But he gently placed his hand on your shoulder and said, "I know you would always talk to Leon about your problems but, you know you can always talk to me, right?" he said smiling at you. After you heard what he said, you turned to face him with teary eyes. He immediately pulled you into a warm embrace, holding you tightly as you let out all your emotions. "Shh, It's alright seňorita…" he whispered softly, rubbing soothing circles on your back. “I hope you don't mind telling me what happened?” he asked you, “I… I had feelings towards Leon but… I didn't expect Ada would be the one he would fell in love with… We have been partners on every mission! I saved him when he couldn't save himself… Why her?” you then started to let out small cries as Luis tries to comfort you.

I felt Sad and Happy at the same time… I have liked Y/n when I met her in this crazy village… But I noticed that she was very fond of Leon which made me a Jealous… Who wouldn't? She's pretty, caring, amazing and really good at aiming… I felt Angry when I heard about what happened… but I also felt happy when I can finally have the chance to confess… but… Will she say yes?
