This isn't even that serious but I increasingly think this is a major role in how people operate. This is about conservatives and yeah def, but I think it operates just as much in all sorts of contexts, especially now with how social media has turned dogpiling into a moral art. Look at how both TRA and GC spaces are obsessed with their own groupthink. And yes I do think GC spaces are in pretty bad shape in that regard, for all their talk of calling TRA spaces a cult.
Hell, I think a significant number of bi AND gay people are afraid to actively oppose biphobia like they might oppose other forms of prejudice because they know it'd be seen as cringe and stupid. I think this is why people react with such hostility if you ever ever bring up statistics about bisexual people.
