realtalk about casting: annabeth mattered SO. MUCH. to me as a kid, and that was when I only identified with her as another bright, fiesty, amibitious girl with ADHD (something that manifests differently for us with our gender and how we present in things like our interests, school, etc). and to see her now as an actual adult in architecture school (still with ADHD in an ableist af industry) and realizing that the discrimination she'd face as a woc resembles mine so much more now... that's so powerful and it's such a gift, and I hope kids like me are watching too

@annabeehive made a post about how HoO would be so much more entertaining if the seven hated each other and i can’t stop thinking about this powerful concept. like they all despise each other in general but everybody just has this one person

- percy cannot stand leo, he has no real idea why. like the concept of them being friends seems like a good idea in theory but actually being with him is so fucking irritating. and not because of the jokes, no no, it’s the tinkering and fiddling and tapping and it drives percy INSANE even as someone with ADHD. and the worst part is leo has no clue, like he thinks they’re bros and annabeth thinks it’s hilarious.

- this was mentioned in their original posts, but piper talks shit about everyone. literally nobody is safe. she has talked about every. single. member. of the seven, including jason and leo they are by no means exempt. if anything she talks shit about jason more than anybody else, she cannot deal with him at all. her and leo bond over mutual hatred of jason’s savior complex.

- annabeth drives leo up the damn wall (and this has literally nothing to do with the discourse fr i just think it’s funny). he just legitimately can’t be in a room with her for more than 10 minutes at a time. and it’s similar to percy, he does not know why at all, he just thinks she can be so snooty and bossy and he rants about it to piper who then tells annabeth every single time.

- the hate is mutual with annabeth. percy is annoyed by leo, annabeth is INFURIATED by him. they’re constantly having little bickering wars and nobody can actually tell if they are joking or not but it soon becomes apparent that THEY ARE NOT. leo programs all kind of shit to go wrong in annabeth’s room on the argo II, and then does the same to percy’s when she moves in to avoid the chaos. she hides his shit all over the ship in places that even he can’t find. it’s all the little things that he needs, a certain screwdriver or spare bolts, things that you wouldn’t think are important but leo needs them and he can’t use his tool belt bc she hid that too.

- another thing from the original post, but frank and hazel DESPISE each other. i love them please don’t take this personally but the idea of them being constantly at each other is so funny to me. frank being so tired of listening to this child that he just up and leaves. hazel being a bitch and never leaving him alone just bc she knows it gets under his skin. they’re both upset that people want them to be friends bc they’re roman. everyone tells them that they’re the cutest friends and they could not be more offended. this is no enemies to lovers shit nuh uh, this is fucking war.

- jason thinks everybody loves each other and that they’re all besties. everyone hates him.
