( okay, but what if i give 24+ year old vivian her own pastel goth ex-girlfriend?? details, though, will be placed underneath the cut because it contains mentions of physical abuse. )
Her name would be Esmé and as far as surname goes, I have no idea... but she is definitely a city girl and currently resides in Vancouver, working as a nurse. UPDATE: I’ve decided her surname is officially Bélanger, due to the fact I want her to be French Canadian.
Like Vivian, she is also 24+ years old, but compared to her, she is very femme and stands at 5′0, making her two inches shorter than her, so initially, Vivian called her a ‘little birdie’.
Esmé ended up falling in love with Vivian after she basically told a guy harassing her to go fuck off and due to this, she considers her to be her ‘prince’.
Esmé was the one who asked her out first, but her love was pretty much one-sided because Vivian never liked her romantically. Despite this, she still agreed to date her due to the fact Esmé was cute and she liked being someone’s ‘prince’. Vivian, though, later ended up regretting it, because it turns out Esmé was the type to get easily jealous and would regularly snoop through her phone. To make matters worse, she was also violent, to the point where if Vivian made her angry, Esmé would push her down the stairs or hit her, so eventually, Vivian ended up dumping her after a whole year of putting up with her bullshit.
The whole reason Vivian never told anyone about the physical abuse or really put up much of a fight against her, though, was because she knew Esmé would easily cry crocodile tears and make people easily side with her while painting her as the bad guy... plus, she didn’t want others to think of her a victim, so she will be hesitant to reveal what she did to her unless she reaches a point where she trusts a muse enough to disclose everything she had put her through. So far, though, I wanna say that in Vivian’s private verse, only @spiritpyro’s Rokuro happens to know, if only because she felt bad for apparently not even telling him she had been planning on committing suicide, to the point where she no longer has the heart to with-hold important information from him.
To this day, Vivian has Esmé blocked, because she would get ten voice calls from her per day, begging her to take her back, that eventually, she just got sick of it.
Esmé is now the reason Vivian is very wary of pastel goths... and to top it all off, she’s partially why Vivian is disillusioned by romance/the idea of settling down in general, if only because Esmé had briefly stolen her freedom and made her miserable.
Esmé has a cutesy personality and comes off as sweet, but in actuality, she can be manipulative and spoiled. Many of the patients she tend to still simp for her, though, and have yet to see her for who she really is.
She will act like she is still in love with Vivian, but Vivian would clearly want nothing to do with her anymore.
They were both romantically and sexually involved at some point, so outside of verses/ships, Esmé was the one she lost her virginity to. Hayate is a bit of special case, though, because while Vivian did lose her virginity to him, she has no memory of it as a result of her selective amnesia in her private verse, so as far as she’s concerned, her first time has always been with Esmé

Gillian Hawke - If she's going to kill people, Gill figures she might as well use a fancy knife (rubies and gold preferred.)
Celeste Trevelyan - I think this sword design is something crazy Cece would draw up to show Dagna. She has the tastes of any self-respecting teenage necromancer: bats, purple, and moss. Luckily for an Inquisition that is already struggling with a questionable image, the young Herald decides to stick with her bow and staff.
Marcus (AKA Cal) - The sword with personal significance! It's supposed to have a carved griffon head on the pommel, but I thought the sunburst was nice. Marcus' silverite arming sword was a gift from Warden-Commander Duncan. Given his status as a mage, Marcus didn't need to learn swordsmanship, but he pursued it with a tenacity that earned him grudging respect from his fellow Wardens. However, his friend Magaleth the Mapmaker wasn't terribly impressed by his skills, so she enchanted a Lightning Rune into the sword.

recently became obsessed w/ “REMEMBER, YOU WILL DIE”, an if game by @vapolis! it has such a unique cast of characters & i love the cyberpunk theme! playing thru the demo inspired the creation of zero (name subject to change) (they/them or he/him), a batshit crazy merc equally likely to engage in playful banter as they are to shoot you in the head. made three picrews to show off their usual looks (1. “default”, 2. fancy-ish, & 3. saints & sinners attire). a little more about them under the cut:
they refuse to have hair shorter than their shoulders (this does not count the infinite amount of layers that are the result of boredom or near death experiences)
got their canines sharpened pretty early into merc work for both the intimidation factor & also bc they just like to bite people
i rlly like the idea that their golden eyes (also an early mod) glow in the dark for the pure fact that i have this idea in my head of them looking something like those photos of raccoons or dogs in pitch black (also i think it would freak ppl out, would be funny, & also be weirdly sexy which is rlly their three reasons for doing anything at all)
for what they may lack in pure brawn, they make up for in sheer scrappiness (absolutely nothing is off the table in a fight); they are also very clever but not particularly book-smart
yes, they chose the heart shaped glasses; was there ever really any other choice?
literally no one can predict their next move? are they flirting w/ you? are they going to stab you? are they flirting & stabbing you? who knows

i haven't talked about noh outside of the very very basics of his story and what's going on so let's talk about my favorite boyo.
here is he (cuz i found this picrew and i thought it was cute) -- the only thing that's off about it is that noh usually wears a mask over his face; he's completely mute and only uses sign language so in a way he views his mouth as "useless" so he doesn't like it being seen lol.
Sexuality: gay gay homosexual gay
Gender: noh is trans masc!
A ship I have with said character: so the main ship that i have with him is a space pirate named emerion jackson. technically speaking the two of them have known of each other since before noh had amnesia; noh and his team were actively trying to bring emerion in and though they never met in person the two of them were definitely :eye emojis: at each other because it was "oh, finally a challenge" type scenario. but then when noh disappeared off the face of the earth and started being plastered everywhere as a criminal, emerion got a little.... worried about him. it seems crazy and its not something that he would talk about to any of his crew because they would heckle him for it, but the fact that someone as formidable and determined as the mysterious (bc they'd never met face to face) noh bell; and how he's suddenly a criminal by the govt??? something is up.
the two of them end up meeting in person at a bar at the edge of a particular star system after noh is dropped off by the cargo crew that found him adrift in space. emerion recognizes noh immediately but doesn't say anything until someone else recognizes noh and a bar fight ensues bc they want to bring noh in for the money. emerion and his men jump in and end up helping him out and then he drags noh onto his ship.
at first, emerion isn't sure what to make of actually seeing noh face to face. coupled with the fact that noh doesn't remember that he was originally hunting him and his crew down its odd. but then he learns about the amnesia etc etc and emerion kind of feels guilt for not telling him everything up front. but part of him also likes the fact that noh doesn't remember anything and they end up beginning to form an actual bond and attachment to one another, which gets a BIT complicated as noh starts to learn his identity.
idk now that i'm writing all of this out fully i'm so in the mood to talk more about them; emerion is such a jackass and has a stick up it but at the same time he really cares about noh and hes SO INTIMATELY aware of HOW FUCKED he is lmaooo its kind of hilarious.
A BROTP I have with said character: noh has a really good circle of friends because they all grew up training together in the JACK and JILL program. the closest friend he has is amelia (who was his JACK so they know each other like the back of their own hands) but i think the cutest brotp/friendship he has is with neso.
neso is a very special JACK/JILL unit because she's a system with just one other alter and so she doesn't have a separate physical "body" that serves as her partner; its technically just within herself. the two of them are fully aware of each other and can switch back and forth though its not fully at will. she is the host and neon is her alter (and is essentially her older brother). neso can call neon to the front and he will show up occasionally but its not often because he doesn't really like people lol (though he is okay with the rest of their friend group). usually he shows up in dangerous situations because he's the JILL of their unit and in this universe they were able to engineer technology to change neso's eye color back and forth when she and neon switch fronting.
neso and noh are really alike and she can be somewhat childlike and cling to him. they use sign language with each other the most--especially in episodes where she's having a ptsd flashback or episode, he can help talk her down and taught her signs since she was young. they also tend to be the most quiet of their friend group and prefer to just vibe while the others (amelia, iodine, and ethan) are more personable and loud lol.
A NOTP I have with said character: this isn't a notp so much as like, its not canon anymore BUT it did used to be canon back in the day when i felt like i had to overcompensate with heterosexuality in all of my wips (i've had noh as an oc and this story for at least a decade so yknow). but before, noh and amelia were actually supposed to be the endgame couple, but at the end of the day i think they just work better together as best friends/found family. they know each other so well; to the point that its less like being with someone you're attracted to and more like being with the other half of their own brain so like... how am i gonna be attracted to myself energy. plus, amelia ends up with an engineer named claude and they're so sweet together i want to throw up <3
A random headcanon: noh is heavily inspired by my personal interpretation of link which is where his muteness stemmed from :)
General Opinion over said character: i love noh A LOT and i need to get over my fear of writing scifi because i've been wanting to tell his story for years. i project onto him a lil bit sure but he's such a fun character and i wanna figure out more about his storyline so i can be driven insane by it
since ive been talking about it so much, perhaps i might lol.
