brain will not let me sleep until I say
same age padawans au where they’ve been in a weird wired frenemies thing for ages but now that they’re both mature adults (all of 24/25 years old) they’re more friends than enemies….
And it’s Obi-Wan that Anakin tells when he’s decided he’s going to leave the Order, not anyone else. He has a wife. There was a pregnancy scare a few weeks ago and it made her want their relationship to stop being a secret so they could really have kids. He has to leave the Order. Doesn’t Obi-Wan understand?
Obi-Wan, who has been a little in love with Anakin since they were younglings, does not understand. Not one bit. Instead of wishing him well and helping him pack, he goes to the Council and requests a mission in the Outer Rim….perhaps a month long or more…perhaps undercover? No contact with anyone on Coruscant. And maybe they could assign Anakin Skywalker as his back up? He can help with the undercover aspect.
And at first, Anakin is pissed because he was planning to resign from the Order in the next few days, but Obi-Wan convinces him to go on this mission with him….one last mission as a Jedi. To say goodbye to the Jedi life.
Obviously, Obi-Wan sort of wants to go on one last mission with Anakin because in his dreams, he wants the mission to go so perfectly that Anakin stays with him the Order. But realistically, he mostly wants to go on this mission to say goodbye to Anakin and then let him go, soaking up all his warmth and light, memorizing every casual touch bestowed on him because he knows they’re ticking down to the last handful of seconds together.
But then obviously the mission works TOO well and Anakin falls in love with Obi-Wan but doesn’t admit to it even to himself before they’re on the ship about to head back to Coruscant and Anakin realizes he doesn’t want to leave this planet because he doesn’t want to leave Obi-Wan if it could always be like this so he crashes the ship during take off so they can stay longer because he’s 24 and doesn’t know how to handle the immensity of his love except through destruction

It’s hard to find the words to write this post. When we originally set up FYMHM, it was the brainchild of an amazing woman – Lynda, aka @wait4ever / RecycledStardust. She was the embodiment of hope for a better fandom, for a better environment for unknown writers, and an amazing, well-loved, well-respected, and highly sought beta.
It was her idea that the voices behind FYMHM stayed anonymous – she didn’t want any of our individual personalities or reputations to have any impact on the way the blog was received; she wanted our recommendations to stand for themselves. And speaking for myself, I think it can be safely said that this has definitely been the case.
I personally chose to take a step back from the blog when I started at university in September 2020, a decision that Lynda emphatically supported. “Honey, your studies are more important – we’ll still be here,” she insisted and assured me, repeatedly.
However, a year ago today, the bright beacon that Lynda simply personified, was taken away from us – cancer. An illness that she was incredibly tight lipped about, shrugging a lot of the concerns that were shown to her off in favour of wanting to discuss the next fic that was being written, or the next fest that was coming up, or Louis’ collarbones, depending on her mood!
She was adamant that FYMHM continued without her. Insistent the work went on. And so it did.
FYMHM has grown bigger and bigger over the past couple of years, and despite not being an active participant, I’m incredibly proud that the random idea that was bandied about late one night on a WhatsApp call has developed into one of the best fic rec blogs in our part of the fandom. We have more members – all still anonymous – who work hard at reading and writing recommendations and reviews, and we have a completely equal and democratic system set up to choose those fics.
As I’m no longer one of the key individuals, and as this is Lynda’s first anniversary, I wanted to step out from behind the curtain to explain a little to the world who and why this blog exists at all, and also to give thanks, to an amazingly wonderful lady, who has done so much for this fandom, for the writers she beta’d for, and for the readers who read those stories.
Miss you a lot, lovely lady. Love always, Roni xxx
There was a time when FYMHM was just Lynda, Roni and I. Going back and reading the initial messages that marked the beginning of this blog, it is safe to say that we had no idea what we were in for. Then again, what could stop The Three Virgos from doing what they put their minds to? Absolutely nothing. We had the idea and set it up within about half an hour. There was something magical about the weekly phone calls we used to sit down for after that.
My memories of those calls are fond, just as my memories of the calls I shared with Lynda alone. When she first told me she was ill, I couldn’t believe it. How was the world supposed to keep turning if Lynda didn’t push it along?
When it became clear that it was terminal and I had to come to terms with the fact that one of my closest friends was going to pass away, we tried to savor the time we had left as best as we could. When she became bed-ridden, I called her and took her along on my walks. She was the first person I told when anything happened, and not to be able to do that anymore breaks my heart.
Truth is, I don’t think there will ever be anybody like her. Even in the worst of it, she made sure to reach out and comfort me. She knew me so well that she bestowed upon me a task that was simultaneously daunting and a great comfort. She asked me to finish a fic she had started writing. And it was a fic that I knew meant a lot to her, personally. And so I did. I wrote about love and loss and soulmates and in the process of that, I became closer and closer with our other friends and now, though there is a Lynda-shaped piece of the puzzle missing, we are secure with each other. Her dandelion hopes. The seeds she nurtured, who are now working hard to spread her kindness and passion everywhere we go.
Lynda, I miss you and your warmth. I don’t think there has ever been anybody who believed in me with such unshakable faith as you. Thank you for everything you did for me. I think of you as “the woman in the moon”, that way, when I need advice, I can look up at the night sky and imagine what you would have to say. Love you, Evi xx
Further to this post, we ask that you please feel free to reblog this with your own thoughts and memories of Lynda.
Always in our hearts ❤️

Quarantine Chapter One: Beginning
Written for the Maribat April Angst Apocalypse
Quarantine Masterlist | AO3
A/N: The craziest part of this fic is that I actually started writing it before coronavirus became the big crisis of 2020. My fic doesn't have anything to do with coronavirus, despite its name. However, due to the fact that I’ve been in quarantine for over half of March (and haven’t left my house for twenty days) I’ve taken some inspiration from real life events.
Quarantine is my submission for the Maribat April Angst Apocalypse (@april-angst-apocalypse) (though most of the angst is concentrated in the middle chapters, and it does have a happy ending). It's completely written, with 20 chapters, totaling 26,000 words. I already have a posting schedule set up and everything, so you can expect regular updates from me for once.
This fic occurs pre-episodes Heart Hunter and Miracle Queen, so Chloé still has redemption-arc potential and the identities of Rena Rouge, Carapace, Viperion, and Ryuko haven't been revealed to Hawkmoth.
If you want to be added to the Quarantine taglist, send me an ask, a message, or just comment on this post.
[Sunday October 18]
The Quarantine started at midnight on the third Sunday in October. There wasn’t any warning, no emergency broadcasts or press conferences to get the word out. One moment Paris functioned as just another city in France. A moment later, a force field surrounded Paris, stopping all movement in and out of the city. There was chaos on the border for hours, as people desperately tried to get in and out of Paris. But it was no use - the force field was impenetrable. Before the sun rose that day, the force field had already gotten its name: The Wall.
Marinette woke up that morning with a phone full of news alerts. She learned about The Wall in bits and pieces. All across the news were accounts of the chaos at the border, but not the full story as to how it got there or how long it would be staying. Just like every other resident of Paris, Marinette didn’t yet have the full story. Unlike her fellow Parisians, however, Marinette needed the full story. Marinette was Ladybug, defender of Paris. The Wall threatened her city, and she couldn't let that be.
At noon, the Justice League sent out an announcement to the people of Paris. Their city had been put under quarantine in order to prevent Hawkmoth's destruction from spreading. Mayor Bourgeoise, their democratically elected mayor, was being replaced by a Council chosen by the Justice League. Free will and civil liberties were being put on hold so that the Justice League could decide the fate of Paris.
There was an immediate outcry, but protest was futile against the Justice League. They had too much power, too much authority for any single citizen to change their minds. There had always been speculation over the potential for Justice League intervention in Paris - especially since Hawkmoth's akumas had been growing in strength over the past few years. However, it had always been assumed that the Justice League would be helping alongside Ladybug and Chat Noir. Instead, the Justice League ignored Paris's superheroes entirely.
Ladybug and Chat Noir attempted to make contact with the Justice League. They approached the Paris Council, demanding a say in the fate of Paris. Finally, that afternoon, they were brought in front of the Paris Council to plead their case.
"Chat Noir and I have worked hard to protect Paris from Hawkmoth for almost four years. While the situation is not perfect, Paris is still thriving, despite everything working against it." Cameras flashed as reporters took photos and videos of Ladybug's speech. Marinette simply kept her head high. After three years as Ladybug, she was used to having her picture taken. "What the Justice League has done to Paris is wrong. We demand that you take down The Wall."
"Ladybug. Chat Noir." A massive television screen turned on, revealing the face of Batman, head of the Justice League. "While the Justice League appreciates your input into the situation, your arguments do not change the reality of Paris's situation. The last akuma, Exterminator, caused too much damage for the Justice League to ignore. Hawkmoth is a dangerous supervillain, and the two of you have been powerless to stop his attacks. The Paris Quarantine will not be broken until Hawkmoth is neutralized and behind bars."
"This is an injustice," protested Ladybug. "The people of Paris deserve their freedom."
"The decision has already been made. The Justice League expects both of you to be respectful of the wishes of the Council. You may continue your futile fight against Hawkmoth's akumas, but know that the Justice League will be working tirelessly to take down the real threat - Hawkmoth himself. Your assistance is no longer needed."
The screen turned off. Ladybug stood there in shocked silence, waiting for it to turn back on. She didn't expect the fight to be easy, but she thought that she would at least be able to negotiate with the Justice League. She didn't expect her arguments to be shut down entirely.
"Ladybug, can we ask you a few questions?" a reporter called out from the back of the room.
"We won't be taking questions today," replied Chat Noir. He gently took Ladybug by the elbow and started to guide her out of the room. "Just know that no matter what, Ladybug and I will always be fighting for Paris's best interest."
Ladybug joined Chat on a half-hearted patrol. They made their way through the city in silence, both trying to wrap their heads around the gravity of the situation. This was an opponent they couldn't fight with Lucky Charm and Cataclysm. Ladybug wasn't knowledgeable in the intricacies of politics; she didn't know what petitions or protests would be necessary to get through to the Justice League.
Marinette returned home that night, feeling nothing but anger. She paced around her room, clenching and unclenching her fists. There was a storm raging inside her head. The Justice League was holding her city hostage, and there was nothing Ladybug could do about. Marinette knew that the Quarantine was unjust. How could Batman do that to her city?
"Marinette, calm down." Tikki rested one hand on Marinette's shoulder. "You have to stay positive. Too much anger could attract an akuma."
"Sorry, Tikki." Marinette sighed. She stopped pacing and sat down in front of her desk. A half-finished dress sat in front of her, waiting to be finished, but Marinette didn't have the motivation to pick it up again. She considered texting Damian for support, but Marinette was so exhausted that she didn't think she could make it through a whole conversation. "I think I'll go to bed early tonight. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day."
"Goodnight, Marinette."
Marinette got ready for bed in a daze, feeling weary. She could already anticipate the nightmares that would follow her into sleep. It never mattered how much sleep she got - Marinette always woke up feeling like a failure, feeling like her world was ending. There was only one way for her life to get better, and that was for Paris to be free from Hawkmoth. Unfortunately, there was no solution in sight. Marinette didn't sleep well that night, but it was no surprise to her.

[Eng] History3: Trapped Diary Logbook - Days 14 to 17
♡  Days 14 to 17 of Filming History3: Trapped
Note: These are my translations! Please do not repost anywhere else. I’ve added the photos but I couldn’t scan HQ versions because I didn’t want to damage the book haha sorry about that guys!
Highlights:
ZGC aka ANDY!!! Gosh I love ZGC he’s so pretty and also so handsome at the same time - And him in that mesh shirt?!!
Zhao Zi and Jack in the crying and kissing scene
Chris and Riceball!! Chris carrying the doggo
The guy who plays Jun Wei is an ACTUAL PRO BARTENDER in real life omg the talent I need a fic on this
Day 14
Tumblr media
Under the dim lighting of the bar, everyone was in very different conditions.
Let’s first talk about the battle between Officer Meng and Vixen No. 2. That day, Officer Meng and Yu Qi wore the pink couple outfit together, and Vixen No. 2 Andy was wearing a shirt that had a really open, wide collar, and the material of the shirt was so thin that it was almost invisible, showing so much skin. When Officer Meng saw that, he exclaimed, “Your entire body is going to (burst) out already!” Aside from losing on the outfit, Andy also was a step quicker than Officer Meng, as he managed to fully kiss Tang Yi. Even though the camera wasn’t on them, both tang Yi and Andy were already kissing each other secretly.
When Officer Meng was battling the vixen, everyone else from Team Three was busy too! Jun Wei is actually a professional bartender in real life, and so he acted his part out smoothly and easily. Ah Zhi who was undercover as a janitor, was found squatting in a corner, as if practicing being left out from the rest of the group. The hair stylist chose a really cute/dumb and loud hair style for Yu Qi.
Naughty Zhao Zi was very bored while waiting for his turn to film, so he secretly braided the strands from a draping curtain, and thought no one would notice. Who knew that when Zhao Zi was finally filming, that those very curtains would be in shot! In the end, ZGC, who plays Andy, and some other staff had to spend a lot of time unfastening the braids, and while they were doing that they were mumbling to themselves, who was the culprit who did this?!
Day 15
Tumblr media
Trapped’s lucky item: Tang Yuan (Riceball)
Director Gia’s beloved dog has accompanied everyone since the pre-production and casting days. Occasionally, she will come to the set and walk around, and as a director’s dog, to be able to act cute the moment the camera is on her is a basic skill. Everyone cannot help but caress and touch her, and even Tang Yi’s teenage-girl heart was set off (which I guess to mean that Chris was cooing at Riceball, hugging her and basically being all sparkly)
Day 16
Tumblr media
Love is the greatest! Today is 24 November, voting day, and everyone went to vote before coming to work!
“The bigger the wish, the larger the effort needed to make that wish come true.” Perhaps it was the voting results that allowed reality to slap us hard in the face - a lot of people were disappointed, upset and furious. When everyone was threatening to migrate, to escape and flee (from Taiwan), everyone on set was seemingly calm and continued to work. Because we knew, this wish was really huge and the world wasn’t going to change just because we changed a status or photo on Facebook There was no time to be depressed and discouraged. We returned to our work stations and continue to work on making our wish come true.
◆ [Note: This is with regards to the Taiwan elections last year when the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) lost by a pretty huge margin to the Nationalist Party or Kuomintang (KMT) - They lost 7 out of the 13 cities and counties they already had and now control only 6 out of 22 cities and counties in Taiwan]
Day 17
Tumblr media
After they finished the previous scene in Team Three’s office, the youngest out of the four main leads, Kenny, spent a whole three hours getting into the right emotional state for his next scene - a crying scene.
From the moment he got on the car until dinner, Kenny had his earphones on and didn’t say a word. Even when he met his other half, Jack, he was expressionless as well. After, Kenny said that it was tough and painful for him to be that quiet too. For example, during dinner, everyone saw the very interesting names a female staff member put on the dishes and were talking about it. Kenny, who usually likes to talk shit with everyone, also wanted to participate in the conversation but at that time he really didn’t have the mood to talk. All he could do is complain after, “If it’s Triple Delight Fried Rice then just call it Tripled Delight Fried Rice! Why did she write Supernatural Fried Rice...”
And when Zhao Zi’s little world crumbled into pieces, it was Jack’s kiss that introduced Zhao Zi to another world (hehe)
Compared to crying scenes, Kenny was less nervous with the kissing scenes. Instead, it was Andy who was a little uneasy and awkward, not knowing what kissing Kenny would be like. Moreover, earlier when Kenny was preparing for the crying scene, he ignored Andy, so Andy was at a loss of what to do too. Luckily, the more they kissed, the better the kisses became, and they kissed until they were used to it, until they could kiss anytime.
