“luke, alison! your aunt y/n is here!” your sister yelled as she opened the door to her home. in a matter of seconds, loud footsteps were heard running down the stairs. “no running!”
but still the kids didn’t listen, they were excited to see their aunt. “hey, my babies! oh my god, you two have grown so much. stop growing!” you hugged your niece and nephew.
“i’m almost as tall as mom!” alison, the younger sister, said.
“liar, that’s just what dad says to make you feel better. i’m going to grow more than you and then i’ll be taller than you.” luke teased.
“you both can be tall, but never as tall as me.” you joked as you placed a kiss on their cheeks.
“are you going to stay with us forever?” alison asked innocently. “dad said that you don’t want to stay with your husband anymore and you’re going to stay with us.”
“alison!”
the truth was hard for little kids to understand. yes, you were going to stay with your sister for a few days and yes, you didn’t want to stay with your husband anymore, but it was a bit more complicated than that. your husband had cheated, lied, manipulated you and you had enough. he was the reason you couldn’t come back to the sport you loved and worked your whole life for.
“well i am going to be staying here, but not forever. i just needed a break from him, it’s normal.” you tried to explain to the girl.
“but my mom and dad don’t take breaks?”
“alison, just go to your room, you too luke, please. dinner is going to be ready in an hour.” your sister said, feeling embarrassed that alison would ask those questions.
“what did i do?” the older boy whines as he and his sister walked up to their rooms.
“i’m sorry. i spoke to jack the night you called. we were cleaning up the table after dinner, i assume she heard.” your sister explained.
“it’s okay, they’ll understand when they’re older. not everyone is cut out to be loved . . .”
or a mother.
only a few people had known about your issues with infertility, your sister and lewis being two of them. after you retired from f1, you were sure that in a couple months, you were going to be busy with doctor’s appointments, buying baby clothes and building a crib, but none of that happened. after a year of trying, you were convinced you weren’t meant to be a mom.
you thought about returning to the track, after all many drivers returned after saying they were retiring, why couldn’t you? but that plan was spoiled by the man you thought loved you.
“you can’t go back, you don’t belong there. it’s a man’s sport. you’re probably going to crash in the first lap anyways.”
you didn’t know why you stayed with him, but you did. maybe it was the promises he kept telling you about or the hopefulness that one day you would become parents and maybe he would change. but again, none of that happened.
“um, i have to call someone. i’ll be right back. excuse me.” you told your sister as you walked to the patio door and exited the house. without hesitating, you clicked on a familiar contact. you held your phone against your ear and waited for the person on the other end to pick up. it felt like forever, but eventually they picked up the call.
“hello?”

Jude was ecstatic once he found out you were able to come with him to England. Visiting his family already had him in a fantastic mood, but now that he knew you were accompanying him, he was over the moon. He knew how well you got along with his family, so once he let everyone know on the group chat, he confirmed all the affection his family had for you with every new text popped up on the screen.
✉️ Mum ❤: Yay! That’s such great news!
✉️ Mum ❤: Tell her I’m making her favorite
✉️ Hey! What about my favorite?
✉️ Jobe: Oh, please. She’s the apple of mum’s eyes, don’t act like you didn’t knew
✉️ Dad: Tell her that I bought new tea flavors for us to try
✉️ I’m starting to think I’m not the main attraction of this visit, am I?
✉️ Jobe: No way! Seriously?
✉️ Jobe: She’s also my favorite
✉️ Dad: Jobe, donʼt be hurtful towards your brother
✉️ Mum ❤: Canʼt wait to see you both 💕
✉️ Jobe: Tell her I miss her
He couldn’t help but smile at his brother’s text. It was obvious he had a crush on you; Jude found it funny since it was a little bit cliché, the little brother having a crush on the older brother’s stunning girlfriend. Oldest joke in the books. It wasn’t a big deal anyways.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆
He didn’t consider himself a jealous person. At least, not the type of person that would go as far as considering his own brother a menace to his relationship. It was stupid to even consider it anything more than something to joke about. There wasn't a real chance of something actually happening, not only because he was his brother but also because he was younger than both of you. You considered him a little brother, for the love of God.
Nonetheless, it was hard to ignore how long the hug between you two lasted. His brother seemed to be in heaven while holding you tightly, his head basically on your neck, refusing to let you go after a couple of minutes. It was almost funny to see if it weren’t for the unnerving feeling he was getting from it. He didn’t want to sound crazy, but... Was he smelling your hair?
“It’s so great to finally see you!” You said once Jobe let you go. He looked down at you with the biggest of smiles. “And you got so tall! How did this happen?” You pinched his cheeks, treating him as you always did, with care.
However, Jude’s brain started to overthink, and he was feeling nauseous. Why was he jealous of his own brother? He was being ridiculous, and he knew that. But some things were hard to avoid, and his jealousy was one of them. He tried to fight it as you all moved to the living room, where his mom had prepared a big tray of snacks.
“So, did you had a good flight?” His dad asked once you were all sitting on different points of the large sofa. You nodded with a smile, receiving a tiny bowl full of your favorite snacks from Jobe, who only had eyes for you.
“Thank you, honey!” You said to Jobe, who nodded with a slight blush on his cheeks before getting a bowl of his own. “It wasn’t as terrible as I thought. I actually really liked the food they gave us; it was a tasty chicken sandwich. Right, babe?” Your voice woke him up from his daydreaming, making him sigh with guilt for the direction that his thoughts were taking. “Are you tired?” You asked once he didn’t answer right away, rubbing his leg.
“No, no. I was just distracted for a little bit. But yes, it was a surprisingly good sandwich. She had to talk me into eating it at first, though.”
You smiled at him, and he couldn’t help but hold you closer to his frame, suddenly hungry for your touch. He didn’t let his mind slip to any other ridiculous thought about jealousy and his brother’s stupid crush on you. He gave his full attention to one of his dad’s stories, making sure to always have you close to him while listening. He knew you were giving him weird looks because this wasn’t his usual behavior around his family, but he didn’t care, he needed to have you next to him for a moment.
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
Okay, forget about leaving his jealousy thoughts behind.
Jobe was stepping over an imaginary line that he didn’t know he had marked down since you all entered the kitchen. He was all over your space, but the worst thing was that you didn’t seem to mind. He hugged you by the shoulders, talking about God knows what while giving you the smile he knew very well since he was the one who taught him the smile trick. Was he openly flirting with you, or was he seeing things? Why would he do that in front of him? Why would he do that in general?
When he decided that enough was enough, and that he was going to do something about the situation, Jobe left your side. He saw how you nodded with a tiny smile at whatever he said, still sipping the cup of blueberry tea his dad gave you not too long ago. He saw it as the perfect opportunity to take you away from his brother’s hands.
“Hello, pretty.” He said once he was near enough to whisper in your ear. You giggled, as every time he startled you, but you immediately turned around to hug him. “I missed you.” Jude returned the hug, closing his eyes once he felt your warmth around him.
He didn’t know why, but he was feeling the need to be as close as possible to you. Why was he feeling so clingy all of the sudden?
“Are you okay, babe? You were acting a bit weird earlier.” You said against his neck while rubbing his back distractedly.
“Yeah, I’m okay.” He wanted to stop there and just enjoy the hug, but his brain had other plans. “Seems like Jobe missed you a lot.”
“Right?” You were apparently naive about what he meant by it, since you just smiled. “He’s such a sweetheart, I love him a lot.”
Okay? Ouch, no need to rub it on his face.
“But you love me more, right?” He bit his lip, surprised by his own stupidity. Why would he ask something like that? What was wrong with him?
“Are you guys ready for dinner?” His mom interrupted whatever dumb thing he was about to say after what just came out of his mouth.
“Just a minute, Denise.” You didn’t let him go, hugging his waist a little bit tighter while smiling apologetically at her. He saw the expression on your face, and he knew you noticed what was wrong.
“That’s alright, I’ll hold your plates for a minute, come when you’re ready.” His mother said, finally leaving you alone. It appears like you weren’t the only one who noticed something strange going on.
“Baby, are you jealous of Jobe?” You asked it in a serious manner, but your eyes were filled with such amusement that he felt like a little kid that just said something very stupid but very funny as well.
“No…” You knew him very well, so there was no point in lying, but he did it anyway because admitting something so ridiculous was very embarrassing.
“You’re so adorable.” You laughed after a moment, taking his face in your hands. “Don’t be silly; why would you be jealous of him? He’s like a little brother to me.”
“I dunno.” He simply answered, knowing he was being irrational. “He has a crush on you…”
“He’s your brother, Jude.” You giggled again, kissing his lips shortly. “That’s why you’ve been hugging me all night long?”
“Mmmh.” He felt mortified, so he went for the safest option and hugged you again, trying to avoid your face. You were having too much fun with this new information. “Don’t tell anyone.”
“Of course I won’t.” You whispered back, silently laughing at his antics. He could actually feel how hard you were trying to hold your laugh. “I really love you a lot, silly jealousy included and everything.”
“But more than you love Jobe, right?” He asked with hope, still refusing to retrieve his head from your neck.
“Yes, Jude. More than Jobe.” You laughed loudly, not being able to keep it down anymore.
“What’s up with me?” Jobe said, entering the kitchen, clueless about the subject of your chat.
“Nothing!” He quickly said, not letting you give away anything that happened seconds ago. If it was bad that you already knew about the jealousy thing, it would be hell if his brother found out. “Dinner’s ready.”
“Okay? Well, let’s go eat it then? Stop asphyxiating her with your love, she’s got enough of that already.” He knew Jobe was just messing with him, but he had to bite his tongue and resist the urge to say something along the lines of “Well, she’s my girlfriend, not yours!” but that would be too childish, even for him.
So he just stayed silent and followed his brother into the living room, still giving him annoyed looks that were received with pure confusion. You just rolled your eyes and whispered to him to keep it down.
Needless to say, even though he acted normally, refusing to let his childish side win, he still felt like he needed to create some space between you and Jobe. He insisted on sitting between both of you, keeping a hand on your tight at all moments, which resulted on you casually laughing or giving him loving looks that just made sense to him, the rest of the family weirdly looking at each other. He made up an excuse after an hour or so, saying you two were so tired from the flight and you needed to head to the hotel, but in reality, he just wanted to cuddle with you and have you all to himself for the rest of the night. You just let him be, still messing around while giving him head scratches to help him fall asleep.
He guessed that jealousy just turned him into a clingy mess, but you seemed very okay with it, so what was the matter?

Look, This is gonna be one of those things that sounds bad until you read the whole story. Please don't read the title and go to 'yta' without reading.
AITA for yelling at our friend that my brother isn't trans?
Look, My brother ISNT trans. He likes to wear kilts and sew, Which is what kind of started all of this. My brother is NOT trans, He loves being a boy (trust me, I can hear him enjoying being a boy in his room all the time. Theres no way he'd wanna chop it off(I mean this as a joke I don't actually know how the surgery works), He's told me multiple times that being told by others what he likes is 'feminine' and 'girly' upsets him because he's proud of being a boy and doesn't like being called a girl. Its not because he hates girls or thinks less of them, He just does not like being called the wrong gender which I'm sure you want to be called the correct gender too.)
Anyways lets begin. I (16F) am my little brothers (15M) best friend, Basically. We grew up together and do everything together, Including sewing. I liked it when I was younger, And eventually convinced him to try it as well. He loved it, And we love just sitting together and making random crap we usually end up selling at our yearly garage sale. (Our mom makes us sell all our unneeded crap every year, But we aren't complaining when we make like $100 for it, Mom and dad even help us figure out what we actually wanna keep (we sometimes see old things and go 'Oh I could never get rid of this' and then throw it away))
Sorry for the rambling, But you'll see why some of this is important to know.
Basically, We were getting our shit together for the garage sale, And invited over a mutual friend of ours, Who I'll call uhhh Ley (16F). Shes kind of obsessed with the LGBTQ and loves to help people 'realize' they're gay or trans or non-binary. By this I mean she'll literally bully people she 'knows' is gay or trans by always telling them they are and spreading rumors about them saying they are. The way she 'knows' these things are from gut feelings. I thought maybe she needed friends who would be honest with her and tell her gently that it needed to stop. She stopped being so bad with it and we even convinced her to admit to the rumors she started being fake. We've known her for around 3 years now, And she's stopped doing it as aggressively for 2 of those years. She still makes jabs and 'jokes' saying things like "Oh thats so girly, Are you sure you're not trans?" and "Oh thats such a boy thing to do, Are you a lesbian?", Both quotes she's said to me and my brother less than a week ago. I am straight and cis, So is my brother. We have nothing against the lgbt, We just aren't apart of it. We support the lgbtq as much as possible (with my part time job I like to donate some of my paycheck towards point of pride so people who need the surgeries or binders can get them), And are very open about supporting them.
While we were cleaning out my brothers room and finding stuff to throw into the 'sell' box (we like to do precleaning before our parents help us, It makes everything faster and less work on the people trying to help), And Ley found my brothers kilt. She did a long exaggerated gasp, Looking at my brother.
"So, How long have you been trans? Why didn't you tell me?? I knew it the whole time!"
My brother tried to explain that it was a kilt for men, And he wasn't trans, But she kept interrupting him saying crap like 'you don't have to lie I know now' and 'Its nothing to be embarrassed about, I knew ever since you started to sew'. The last straw for me was when she continued not listening to him and started to ask about how he was gonna come out as school. I yelled at her to get out, That neither of us were gay, Neither of us are trans, And neither of us are apart of any of the lgbtq. We are allies and nothing more. She tried to argue that he had a 'skirt' which OBVIOUSLY meant he was trans, I basically screamed at her that she was a stupid know it all who made everyone who wasn't apart of the lgbtq's life hell because she made sure everyone knew them as someone they arent (I know, I shouldn't of brought up 2 years in the past) and that I was tired of her trying to force everyone to be in the LGBTQ when its just not realistic. Not everyone is gay or trans, Some people are cis and straight. She started crying and left, We haven't spoken in a few days but I think I'm justified. I'm tired of living my life being told I'm something I'm not, I'm tired of seeing it happen to my brother too.
My brother later thanked me for standing up for him, Telling me it made him really upset when she said those things. To cheer him up we watched his favorite movies and I made him his favorite dinner (mom and dad both work day jobs so we both make lunch and dinner)
And for those who are gonna say that allies are apart of the LGBTQ I strongly believe the A is for aro/ace. Being an ally isn't a gender or sexuality
(unless people identify using ally/allyself of course or whatever it is, I'm not quite sure how neos work or whatever but I love to see how creative people get with it and am happy it gives people who don't identify with any of the normalized(? Idk the correct term but yknow the man woman and nb) genders a chance to be who they actually are)
Extra info on why I think I could be the asshole: I feel like we might've been able to explain it if we got her to shut up for a minute, But she kept talking over us. I feel like I went too far by insulting her, And I feel like I might be TA because she's also autistic (so is my brother though, And I have ADHD).
Why I think I'm NTA: My brother is really quiet and doesn't really defend himself often. He doesn't really know how to stand up for himself and is 'easy' to talk over (soft spoken, Quiet talking voice and nonconfrontational) which is why I believe I had to step in in his place, And I don't believe I did anything wrong defending my brother and making her stop calling him what hes not.
Anyways. AITA for yelling at our friend that my brother isn't trans?
To see later: PINK PANTHER
What are these acronyms?

Chapter 13- There's No Place Like Home
Tumblr media
Summary: 6 months ago, Javier Peña quite literally bumped into you and changed your life forever. 6 months later, Javi prepares to ask you to spend your forever with him.
Word Count: 13.2K (reasonable of me tbh)
Warnings: SMUT (18+), unprotected p in v sex (wrap before u tap), oral (f receiving), vaginal fingering, creampie, praise kink, massive breeding kink, one use of daddy (in reference to actually being a dad, but STILL), overstimulation, multiple orgasms, mentions of food/eating, Javi being a nervous wreck, so many surprises (hehehehehe), literally so much fluff and love and happiness AHHHHHHHHH
A/N: It's here!!! The moment we've all been waiting for since these two lovebirds first met 😭😭😭💖💖💖 I have no words, only loud screams into the abyss bc of how happy and in love these idiots are!!! Thank you to everyone that has been along on this ride, your love and support means more to me than you know 🥺🫶🏻 Also literally not that anyone cares, but I picked May 27th as just a random day when I first started writing, and the way I literally SCREAMED when I found out that Thanksgiving in 1997 fell on November 27th?!?! That, and when I first started, Javi was not proposing until the spring/summer OOPS 🤷🏼‍♀️😂
Series Masterlist Next Chapter Previous Chapter
November 27th, 1997.
6 months.
6 months since the day he quite literally bumped into you.
6 months since he had first laid eyes on the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
6 months since the moment he already knew he was head over heels in love with you.
6 months of waiting to ask the most important question of his life.
Because tomorrow, exactly 6 months from the day he had met you, Javier Peña was going to ask you to marry him.
And he was a fucking nervous wreck.
It had killed Javi to wait this long. By conventional standards, 6 months wasn’t that long to know someone before you asked them to spend the rest of their life with you, but in all honesty, Javi would have proposed to you 3 months ago after he first got his mom’s ring from his dad. He had never been so sure of anything in his entire life- he wanted to spend forever with you. And now, after what felt like years of waiting, making sure that everything had fallen in place to give you the best proposal he could possibly imagine, the day was almost here.
Javi wanted everything to be perfect. He needed it to be. You were the most perfect person he had ever met, and to him, you deserved everything, and then some. He wasn’t nervous you were going to say no, or that he was second guessing his decision, Javi was a mess because there was nothing more he wanted than to give you a day you would never forget.
It was also going to now be a day Chucho Peña never forgot either. After everything had settled into place for Javi to finally start finalizing his plans, his poor dad had now become much more involved in planning a proposal than he ever thought he’d have to be. At this point, he was truly trying his best to not find it humorous how worked up his son had been over it, knowing that there was no way in the world you were going to be anything short of amazed, let alone say no.
“And you’re sure that you’ve got the-”
“Javier. This is probably the 14th time you have gone over the plan with me. Yes. I am sure I have everything you need. I have both lists you insisted I take, everyone knows where to be and what to do to help. Take a deep breath, hijo.” Chucho chuckled, taking a sip of his beer as he and Javi sat on the back porch of the Peña ranch, watching the sky slowly fade from bright yellows and pinks to faded blues as the sun dipped below the horizon.
“Okay. Sorry. I’m uh- Fuck, Pops, I’m nervous as hell.” Javi swallowed, running his thumb along the condensation of his can, anxiously drawing little circles in the water droplets.
“Really? I can’t tell.” Chucho joked, smirking to himself as he glanced over at his son, bouncing his leg against the chair he was sitting on. “Javier, what is there to be nervous about? It’s not like she’s going to say no.” Javi looked up at his Dad, the worn smile of his wrinkled face bringing him some relief from the nervous state he was in.
“No, I know. I just- I just want it to be perfect. I want it to be perfect for her. I’ve been thinking about this for so long and now it’s finally fucking here. She deserves everything, Pops. I love her so much.” Chucho reached over, patting his hand against Javi’s shoulder, gently squeezing his fingertips against the soft fabric of his flannel shirt.
“Javier, it will be perfect because you love her, and she loves you.” Chucho paused for a moment, quietly laughing to himself as he looked over at Javi. “Have I ever told you the story of how I proposed to your mamá?” A mischievous grin grew across Chucho’s face as Javi nodded, taking another swig of his drink.
“Yeah, you did it at the lake, right?”
“Yes. But that is the short version of the story, Mijo. I was so nervous when I proposed to your mother, that as we were walking up to the lake so I could get down on one knee and ask her to marry me, I tripped over my own feet and fell right to the ground, and the ring came out of my pocket. I didn’t put it in a box, because I was worried she would see, and so she had to help me find her engagement ring in the grass because I couldn’t find it. Until the day she died, she never let me live it down. But it is still one of my favorite memories of the two of us. It was still perfect. Javier, that girl would marry you if you got down on one knee and asked her in your living room. I have no doubt in my mind that tomorrow will be a day that she will never forget.”
“Fuck, guess I better add tripping over myself to the list of things I need to worry about, thanks, Dad.” The pair laughed, shaking their heads as Chucho gave Javi one last pat on the shoulder before he placed his hands on his knees, letting out a heavy grunt as he pushed himself up out of his chair.
“Cabrón (asshole). Now go, you should be spending time with your future esposa (wife) instead of your old man the night before your engagement. I promise, I have everything taken care of.” Javi followed his dad’s suit, setting down his beer before standing up, reaching out to wrap his arms around Chucho in a tight embrace.
“Thanks, Pops. For everything. Te amo.”
“Of course, mijo. Te amo mucho. I am so happy for you, Javier. She is such a wonderful woman. I am so glad she is going to be a part of our family. I know that your mamá is smiling down on you- She would have loved her so much, Javier. I love her, too. And now, I’m finally one step closer to mis nietos (my grandchildren).” Chucho playfully nudged Javi as he rolled his eyes, giving his son one last embrace as Javi headed out to his truck. As he turned over the ignition, Javi smiled to himself as he turned up the volume of the Queen’s Greatest Hits album you had picked out from your last drive.
“Oh, you're the best friend that I ever had. Been with you such a long time, You're my sunshine, and I want you to know that my feelings are true, I really love you. Oh, you're my best friend.”
Javi couldn’t help but let a stupidly wide grin spread across his cheeks as he listened to the lyrics of the track that had begun playing over the quiet crunch of the gravel under his truck tires as he backed out of the driveway to drive home. Because tomorrow? Tomorrow, Javier Peña was going to ask his best friend in the whole world, the woman he loved more than life itself, you, to be his wife.
Tumblr media
Even though it was barely long enough for you to consider it to be a school “break”, you were glad to have today off to prep for your first Laredo Thanksgiving tomorrow. This would be the first time you would ever spend the holiday away from your childhood home, where your family had hosted every Thanksgiving for as long as you could remember. As much as you would have loved to fly back to go see everyone, plane tickets for the long weekend had been ridiculously expensive, and with just going to visit them a month ago for your cousin’s wedding, and future plans to go back to Chicago over Christmas break, your parents had been insistent on the fact that it was okay that you weren’t going to be able to make it home for Thanksgiving. While of course, you had been heartbroken you would have to miss seeing your family, from the moment Chucho found out you were Texas bound for the holiday, he was quick to make sure you felt nothing short of absolutely included in celebrating with the Peñas, even if it was just you, Javi and Chucho.
Javi still had to work on your day off, so you had spent your free time catching up on chores around the house, taking a well deserved nap and now, you were working on the apple pie you insisted to Chucho bring for the celebration tomorrow, as much as he had tried to convince you that you didn’t need to bring anything.
Somewhere along the lines of your childhood, it had become a Wednesday before Thanksgiving tradition that your family would watch The Wizard of Oz with your siblings before going to bed (although now as an adult, you had a feeling your parents put it on for you and your brothers so they could get the house ready without the four of you doing any more damage), so it only felt right that you put in on to watch as you waited for your pies to cook in the oven and Javi to get home. You shuffled through your VHS collection under the TV, rummaging around until you pulled out the worn tape, pushing it into the VHS player. After the movie had begun to play, you turned back around, letting out a defeated sigh at the current state of your kitchen.
As much as you loved baking, it always seemed to feel like a bomb had gone off by the time you were done as you looked around to see bowls, cutting boards and rolling pins in disarray on your counters. You grimaced to yourself looking around at the mess you had made, rolling up the sleeves of Javi’s oversized Texas A&M sweatshirt you had thrown on after you had woken up from your nap. With the way you had set up your apartment when you moved in, you were able to get a good view of your TV from the kitchen, cranking up the volume on your remote so you could listen and quote along to the movie as you worked on trying your best to clean up before Javi came home to your baking tornado.
At this point, you had seen the Wizard of Oz enough to quote it from front to back, especially as you and your brothers very early on in life had easily determined who got to be each part when you watched together. By default, because you were the only girl, your brothers told you that you had to be Dorthy, which you didn’t mind because you got the main part and to have Todo (Although your favorite family dog, Otis, an overweight yellow lab, wasn’t very pleased about having to be a part of you and your brothers yearly production). Charlie was always the Tin Man, being the oldest and most empathetic out of the rest of your brothers, David was Courage the Cowardly Lion, claiming lions were cool animals and that he was the bravest of your siblings, much to your disagreement, leaving Patrick as the Scarecrow, you and your brothers giving him the title of the smartest idiot you’d ever meet. After finishing washing the dishes, you had moved on to wiping down the counters, pausing and smiling to yourself as you heard the start to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” playing from the TV. You couldn’t help yourself as you began to sing along, swaying back and forth as you lazily wiped up your mess. You were so caught up in singing and dancing to yourself that you hadn’t even heard Javi open the door behind you.
Javi had quickly come to find out after moving in with you that not only coming home to you, but coming home to find you singing along to whatever CD you had playing as you meandered through the apartment, completely oblivious to his presence, was one his favorite things. There were times he could hear your voice as he went to unlock the door, making sure to open it extra quietly so he could stand in the doorway for a few moments, taking in the warmth and joy that radiated from you as you were lost in your own world. He soaked in every moment, watching every sway of your hip and shake of your head until you realized that he was home, making him just as happy for the big hug and kiss he got from you and your excited giggles as you greeted him.
He couldn’t quite make out what you had been signing as he carefully turned his key in the lock, gently closing the door behind him, grinning at the image of you dressed head to toe in his sweatshirt and sweatpants, messy bun plopped on your head as you bent over the counter, resting your elbow on the hard surface with your head propped up on your chin.
“Somewhere, over the rainbow, bluebirds fly. Birds fly over the rainbow, why then oh why can’t I? If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow, why oh why can’t I?”
Quietly setting down his bag and keys, Javi snuck his way over to the kitchen loud enough for you not be completely startled by his presence, as the song came to an end, making you turn your head over your shoulder to see Javi coming behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist from the back he pressed his chest into your back, making you giggle as he planted quick, soft kisses along the exposed skin of your neck and shoulder.
“I could listen to you sing all day, Hermosa.” Javi rasped into your ear, playfully shaking you in his grasp. “Wizard of Oz?” He asked, gesturing towards the TV as the movie continued in the background.
“Really? You want me to sing Days of the Week for you? I didn’t get to sing it today since there was no school, I really need to get my fix.” You retorted, giving Javi a little nudge as he rolled his eyes.
“Please for the love of God, no.” The both of you laughed as you looked back at the TV, watching Todo escape from the back of Mrs. Gulch’s bike basket.
“My brothers and I would always watch it the night before Thanksgiving. Not really sure how the tradition started, but figured I’d throw it on. I can turn it off if you don’t wanna watch or put on something else.” You replied, reaching over for the remote.
“No, keep it on, Osita.” He smiled, pressing a soft kiss on the top of your head, arms still resting along your hips as he held you. “I can’t fuckin’ tell you the last time I’ve seen this movie. I’m gonna be real honest with you, I never really watched it that much as a kid because the flying monkeys scared the shit outta me.”
“Seriously? They’re not even that scary. But we can fast forward through the monkey parts, if you need to, ya big bab-HEY!” You shrieked as Javi suddenly turned you around in his grasp so you were chest to chest before scooping you up and plopping you down so you were sitting on the counter. He placed his hands outside your hips, engulfing your body and making you squirm and laugh as he peppered ticklish kisses across your neck and face, trying your best to swat back at him. “Javi stop! You know that tickles!” You squealed, finally grabbing his arms, wrestling with him until he had given up, pressing a sweet, tender kiss on your lips.
“Oh yeah? Who’s the big baby now?” He smirked, running his hands along your thighs as your legs dangled over the edge of the counter.
“Still you, because I’m not irrationally afraid of poorly made monkey costumes.” You pointed your finger at him, prodding at his chest.
“They’re fucking terrifying, Osita. You’re the worst, you know that?”
“Oh really? You still gonna tell me I’m the worst when I take these apple pies out of the oven?” You smirked, crossing your arms over your chest as you nodded over to the stove.
“Fuck, I knew it smelled good in here. Does that mean I get to-”
“Don’t you dare even think about trying to sneak a piece of these pies before tomorrow, Javier Jesús Peña! These are for Thanksgiving, and even though there’s only the 3 of us, I still made two because I know if I put a pie down in front of you, you could probably eat the whole thing by yourself, and I am not making another pie after the disaster in this tiny kitchen that I just cleaned up.” You raised an eyebrow at Javi, trying to give him your best stern face, the two of you snickering at each other as you tried to scold him.
“Fine, fine. No pies.” Javi laughed, holding up his hands in defense. “Not even just a little-”
“Javi! No!” You shook your head, slapping his arm as he looked back over at the oven before looking back at you, a sly smirk spreading across his face. Grabbing at the meat of your thighs, he slotted himself in the empty space of your legs, spread open as you sat on the counter. His hands quickly slid up towards your waist, creeping under the hem of his sweatshirt you were wearing as he caged his chest against yours, nipping at your neck, his words hot and heavy on your skin. “Javi….” You moaned, tipping your head back as his kisses traveled down to your collarbone and hands tugged at the waistband of your sweatpants. “Javi, I’m gonna burn these pies, I don’t wanna have to make them again or explain to your dad that they’re burnt to a crisp because his son cannot keep his hands off me for more than 30 seconds. They only need to be in the oven for like-”
“10 more minutes?” Javi quickly cut you off, now beginning to slide your sweatpants down your thighs, firmly pressing his hands along the soft flesh of your now bare legs. “Oh, don’t worry, I saw the timer, Hermosa. Baby, you know I can take care of you in 10 minutes, now I just wanna see how many times I can get you off before the pies are done.”
“Seriously? You’re timing yourself? Are we placing bets on this too, while we’re at it? You are absolutely ridiculous, Javi, I swear.” You tried your best to roll your eyes, but as his hands crept down, palming the already wet patch that had been growing in your underwear, it was hard to pretend you were even annoyed in the slightest. Your breath hitched as he hooked his fingers around the waistband of your panties, shuffling them down your legs as he placed his hands on the inside of your thighs, pushing them open to reveal the slick of your arousal that had already been pooling between them. Gently, he ran his fingers through your folds, barley grazing over your clit before dropping to his knees, coming face to face with your dripping heat.
“3.” He said, carefully kissing along the inside of your legs, making his way closer and closer to your entrance.
“3 what?” You replied, trying your best to stay focused on anything Javi was saying as his nose bumped against your throbbing bundle of nerves, practically feeling his smirk against your pussy as he darted his eyes up at you.
“3 times. I bet I can make you cum 3 times before the timer goes off.”
“You’re a fucking menace, Javier Peña, you know that right?” You sighed, gripping your hands against the edge of the counter, feeling your cunt clench, desperate for him to ease the ache between your legs.
“Only for you, Hermosa. Solo para ti (Only for you).” Javi looked up at you, shooting you a quick wink before licking a broad stroke against your clit, making you gasp and your jaw go slack as you moaned breathlessly. That was all it took before he dove in, a man on a mission to make you cum as many times as he could in the few minutes he had. Your legs draped over his broad shoulders, his fingertips squeezing into the flesh of your hips as his pace became rapid and intense, licking and sucking at your clit in a way that had you writing on the counter, tugging at the dark curls of his hair for any sort of relief.
“Javi, holy shit baby, oh fuck.” You whined, bucking your hips towards his face and arching your back as he circled around your bundle of nerves, your moans and whimpers only making him press his tongue firmer against you. Even after all this time, there was a part of you that still couldn’t believe how fast Javi could make you cum. He had memorized every twitch, every tug of his hair, every breathy whisper to know what made you fall apart under his touch, loving every second of watching you come undone for him. You could feel the tingling beginning to creep up your legs and into your stomach as Javi sucked at your clit, pulling his head closer to your soaking core, desperate for more. “Please don’t stop, Javi. Fuck baby, fuck, fuck, I- ahhhhhhhhh.” That was all it took before you could feel the waves of pleasure rushing through your body, your pussy throbbing as your orgasm flooded over you, your body trembling at Javi’s relentless pace as he still worked at you as you came.
“Fuck, you taste so sweet, hermosa. Sweetest fucking thing I’ve ever tasted.” Javi smirked, his mustache covered in your slick as he peeked over at the timer counting down on the stove. “7 minutes? Plenty of fucking time, Osita. You want my fingers, pretty girl?” He mewled, satisfied as he stared at the soaking wet mess between your legs, knowing you were still needy for more.
“Mhmmmmhhh. Please, Javi, please.” You whimpered, your hand still buried deep in the brown locks of his hair, pleading for relief as your cunt clenched around nothing, desperate to be filled.
“Such a good girl, asking so nicely.” He cooed, slowly pushing his two fingers into your already drenched core, making you gasp at the thickness now filling you, bumping against the soft spongy spot that made your toes curl and your jaw go slack. Already so worked up from just moments ago, as soon as Javi’s mouth was back on your throbbing clit, you could feel yourself beginning to clench around Javi’s hand, arousal pooling in your belly. His fingers slid easily in and out of your heat, his hand and mouth working at a persistent pace as he felt you squirm under him, knowing how close you were again.
Your second orgasm hit you even harder than your first, moaning and panting incoherently as you tensed around the thickness of Javi’s digits, soaking his hand as he feverishly lapped up your slick, only removing his mouth after he knew you had come down from your second high to smirk up at you with a devilishly smug grin. He ran his free hand along your leg, grasping at your thigh as his other hand still slowly pulsed inside you, his fingers curling ever so slightly to the spot he knew would get him to his goal. As much as you wanted to, you couldn’t even blame him for self-satisfied smile- Javi knew just as well as you that he knew how to work you in all the right ways to get you exactly where he wanted you. “Gimme one more just like this, Osita. C’mon, sweet girl. Wanna watch that pretty face when you cum. ” You nodded, looking down at the shine of your arousal covering his smirk, knowing that at this point, you were so worked up and overstimulated that just the fingers already inside of you really were all you needed to give him your last orgasm.
Javi’s fingers had already sunk so deep into your cunt, already so overly sensitive to every push and pull of his hand, that your grasp on the counter had become so tight, you could feel your knuckles turning white. You cried out his name as it fell from your lips, babbling incoherently as the third rush of pleasure crashed over you, gushing onto Javi’s hand as awed at your blissed out state.
“That’s it, baby. Let it all go, hermosa. Fuck, you look so good like this. Can’t believe you’re all fuckin’ mine. God, you’re so perfect.” Javi carefully pulsed his fingers a few more times as he felt you clench around him, making you hiss as he withdrew his hand now soaked in your slick. Bringing his hand to his mouth, he sucked his fingers clean before rising up off his knees, taking his time to plant soft kisses along your body before grabbing your face, pressing his lips against yours the taste of you still tangy on his tongue. It wasn’t long until the beep of the oven timer was ringing through your kitchen, making Javi’s smug smirk only grow wider. “See? Told you I could do it 3 times before the pies were done.”
“Jesus Christ…” You swatted at him, trying to catch your breath, the two of you laughing and shaking your heads as he helped you slide down off the counter before pulling your sweatpants back up over your legs, walking over towards the oven. “If you think this was gonna change my mind about you getting a piece tonight, it’s not.” You raised an eyebrow at him, throwing on an oven mitt before reaching in to pull out the pies, sweet and steaming as they rested on the counter.
“Not even just a-”
You turned around, trying your best to give him your most stern look without bursting into giggles, making Javi hold his hands up in defense, stopping mid-sentence. “You can have all the pie you want tomorrow, you hungry, horny menace.” You laughed, taking off your oven mitt and pointing it at him.
Tomorrow.
He couldn’t help but smile knowing that in less than 24 hours, tomorrow meant a lot more than just getting to eat the apple pies that had just come out of the oven.

Javi felt like a little boy on Christmas morning. Sleep was an incredibly inaccurate way to describe the anticipated tossing and turning he had done all night, his heart racing excitedly as he counted down the moments until he finally got down on one knee, and asked you to be his wife. It didn’t take much to get Javi out of bed bright and early, his adrenaline pumping through his veins as he planted a soft kiss on the tangled and sleepy waves of your hair as you laid face down, snoring into your pillow, before sneaking out of your room into the kitchen.
As you shifted over in bed, reaching for Javi to pull him closer to you in your half asleep state, you scrunched your face, blinking as you looked over to find an empty space beside you, the sheets of Javi’s of the mattress left in a tangled pile in his place. Rubbing the sleep out of your eyes, you looked up to see the sunrise creeping through the cracks of your curtains, painting your bedroom walls in golden rays and silhouettes, blowing in the soft breeze from your cracked window. Reaching your arms over your head and letting out a big yawn, you crawled out of bed, shuffling across the carpet of your bedroom to your dresser to pull out another one of Javi’s sweatshirts before opening your door to hear the sounds of sizzling and popping coming from the kitchen. Creeping down the hallway, you peeked your head around the corner to see Javi and his messy, sleepy curls cooking away, working on what seemed to be like bacon and eggs, sitting next to an already completed giant pile of pancakes.
“Are we having breakfast for 12 this morning?” You giggled, your voice still soft and sleepy as you smiled at Javi, walking into the kitchen and hugging him from behind, snaking your arms around his waist, resting your body against his broad back. “You didn’t have to do all this, Jav. I didn’t know you were getting up to make breakfast this morning, I could have gotten up and helped.”
Javi set down his spatula, turning to face you, gently cupping your jaw as placed a soft kiss on your lips and forehead, squeezing you in a tight hug. “Good morning to you too, Hermosa. I know you didn’t. I wanted to surprise you and bring you breakfast in bed, but I guess I should have known better that you would be up before then.” He chuckled as you hoisted yourself up onto the counter, sitting next to the stack of pancakes you now noticed were separated by both blueberries and chocolate chips. He reached beside him, handing you the mug of coffee he had poured, gladly taking a generous sip before watching him finish up the rest of the scrambled eggs on the stove.
“Surprise Thanksgiving breakfast?” You laughed, tilting your head in confusion as you looked over at Javi before reaching down to grab a chocolate chip pancake, taking a bite and letting out a satisfied sigh.
Javi tried his best to keep calm and nonchalant, giving a little shrug as he scraped the eggs off the pan onto one of the empty plates, handing it over to you. “It’s uh- it’s your first Thanksgiving away from home, I don’t know- I know you love breakfast, I just wanted to make it special for you, I guess.”
“Well-” You paused, taking a big fork full of eggs, nodding your head as you chewed, “Oh my god these are good-” finally swallowing before finishing the rest of your thought, “You’re very sweet, and I am very, very thankful for you, and your delicious breakfast.” You grinned, leaning over to give Javi a kiss on the cheek on his scratchy, morning stubble as he dropped the rest of the eggs on to his plate, setting it to the side as he hooked his arms under your thighs, making you squeal as you draped his arms around your neck and locked your legs around the small of your back as he spun you around, peppering ticklish kisses against your soft skin.
“I’m so thankful for you too, Osita. Fuck, you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, you know that? I love you so goddamn much.” His sweet, brown eyes locked with yours as your hands ran through the soft curls of his hair before tracing along his cheek, your thumb rubbing soft circles along his jaw.
“I love you too, Jav. Someone’s feeling sappy this morning.” You prodded, giving him one last quick peck before unwrapping your legs and setting your feet back on the ground, grabbing your plate and heading over to the couch to turn on the TV. Javi looked at the ground sheepishly, feeling the heat creep through his flushed face.
You didn’t even know the fucking half of it.
Javi had spent the rest of the morning trying his best to stay as even keeled as possible, but with how fast his heart had been beating since the moment he had gotten out of bed, he was surprised you hadn’t asked if he was having a heart attack as you pressed your head against his chest, cuddling up together on the couch to watch the rest of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade after finishing your huge breakfast.
“Awh yes!” You grasped at Javi’s shirt, shaking the fist fulls of fabric in excitement as you stared at Santa’s sleigh now making its way across the TV screen. “Christmas time is finally here!” Javi shook his head, laughing to himself at the number of times you had already broughten up how excited you were for Christmas since the day November had started. “Are you gonna hate me if I start decorating and listening to Christmas music tomorrow?” You grimaced, twisting your head to look up at Javi.
“Jesus Christ, you weren’t kidding, huh? You really wanna start setting out Christmas shit tomorrow?”
“I will hold off until December 1st if I absolutely have to, but just know, each day that passes until then will kill me slowly.”
“And I’m the ridiculous one?”
“Pendejo.” You grumbled, giving him a nudge.
“You love me. That’s fine baby, I’m honestly impressed you held out this long.”
“Honestly, it’s only because I actually really do also like Thanksgiving, it deserves it's time to shine, too. Oh, speaking of which, I wanna call my family just to say hi really quick before we start getting ready to leave, is that okay?” You asked, pushing yourself up off the couch.
“Uh, yeah- yeah of course that’s fine, Hermosa.” He replied, seeming surprisingly flustered by your question. You obviously hadn’t seemed to notice, walking over to grab your phone off the receiver before punching in your house phone number, holding it up to your ear as the dial tone rang repeatedly. A confused look spread across your face as the ringing ended in your mom’s familiar voicemail, giving Javi a puzzled shrug as you left your message.
“Hi everyone, it’s me! Just wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! I miss you guys! If you try and call and I don’t answer, we’re over at Javi’s dad’s- Javi says hi too. Okay, well if I don’t talk to you later, then tell David not to eat too much gravy so he doesn’t shit his pants again. Love you!” You pressed the red button, ending your call as you set the phone back down. “That’s so weird that no one answered, they should all be home right now.”
“I’m sure they’re fine, baby. They’re probably just busy. I’m sure you’ll talk to them later.” He smiled, giving your outstretched hand a reassuring squeeze.
“Yeah, you’re right. We should probably start getting ready, when did your dad want us over again?”
“He said to take our time, he’ll have food ready whenever we get over there.”
“Well I feel bad that he’s there waiting all by himself. I’m good to hop in the shower if you are?” You suggested, pulling him up to stand from the couch.
“Don’t worry about me for the shower, I’ll clean up the rest of breakfast and you can start getting ready, okay?” Javi rubbed his hand along your arm, reaching up to tuck a stray hair behind your ear.
“Jav, you made me breakfast, the least I can do is help clean-”
“Osita. I know you’d help me clean up. I want to, okay? I wanted to get up and make breakfast for you, I’m not gonna let you clean up my mess.”
“Fine, Mr. Stubborn. Thank you. You sure I can’t-”
“Go get your ass in the shower, hermosa.” Javi gestured towards the bathroom, giving your butt a quick smack before heading down the hallway into the bathroom.
In all honesty, cleaning the dishes was the last thing Javi had on his mind as he was finally able to get you into the bathroom. Once he heard the water on and the shower curtain open, he snuck his way into the bedroom, digging through his sock drawer to pull out the giant sock ball with your ring buried inside it. Pulling the velvet case out of the fabric, Javi carefully opened the box, smiling at the glimmer of the piece of shiny jewelry, picturing how perfect it would look finally wrapped around your finger. He slipped the case into one of the inside pockets of his jacket, squeezing his hand around the fabric, as if to make sure this was actually happening. Quietly, he grabbed his cell phone from his nightstand, dialing up Chucho, anxiously chewing at the inside of his lip as he waited for his dad to answer.
“Hola, hijo.” Chucho answered, his voice filled with excitement and glee.
“Hey, Pops. She just started getting ready so I’m guessing we’ll be there in like, an hour and a half?” His dad could practically hear Javi’s nerves and anxiety now beginning to build as the realization that he was hours away from proposing was finally starting to hit him like a ton of bricks.
“Perfect. Everything and everyone will be ready, don’t worry, Mijo.” Chucho chuckled, trying to ease his son’s tension.
“Okay.” Javi’s response was short and unassuring as he ran his free hand through his dark curls before resting his hand on his hip.
“Javier. Tiene planeada un día mas perfecto para ella. Así que respiremos profundamente, todo está yendo bien. A ella le encantaría. Casi tanto como elle te ama.” (Javier, you have planned the most perfect day for her. Take a deep breath, it will all be okay. She will love it. Almost as much as she loves you). Javi took a long inhale, his dad 's words comforting him as his exhale followed.
“Thanks, Dad.”
“Claro, hijo (Of course, son). We will see you and your futura esposa (future wife) soon.”
“Te veré pronto. (I’ll see you soon) Bye.”
Hearing the water from your shower turn off, Javi rushed back into the kitchen, speed washing every dish and pan to make sure it looked like he had made good on his promise to clean up after himself while you were getting ready in the bathroom. With the dishwasher full and running, Javi made his way down the hall to see you standing in front of the bathroom mirror, wrapped in your towel, and starting to put on your makeup. He couldn’t help but gawk at you- Javi watching you get ready had become a staple in your relationship very early on, the two of you talking as Javi rested his hip on the counter, or sat on the lid of the toilet seat, smiling to himself, in awe of every beautiful part of you. But there was something about the way that Javi was staring at you right now as you peeked your head out of the bathroom that made your heart flutter. It wasn’t the I’d fuck you right now against the bathroom counter look that had become just as much of a staple as Javi watching you get ready, it wasn’t even the sweet, flirty look he’d give you when he just wanted to let you know how cute you were. The way Javi looked at you as you stood there in your fluffy towel, makeup half done and hair wet and tangled from the shower was a look that put butterflies in your stomach. He looked at you like you were the only person in the world. That he didn’t care if anyone else existed beside you. That you were the only person he ever wanted to look at like this.
“What’s that look for?” You blushed, setting down your mascara to stare back at him.
“You’re just- Fuck. You’re so beautiful, Osita. Everything about you. I’m so lucky.” Javi’s words were soft and gentle, his sweet brown eyes making you melt as they soaked in every inch of you.
“Does Thanksgiving always make you this sappy?” You giggled, biting down on your lip before turning back to the mirror. “Thanks, Jav. I hope you know I feel equally as lucky. Now go get your cute butt in the shower so we don’t have to make your dad wait any longer. I need to find the loosest fitting outfit I have so I can make room for when I eat my bodyweight in mashed potatoes.”

By the time Javi was finished getting ready, you were already out in the kitchen wrapping up the pies you had made last night to safely get to Chucho’s without any sneaky tampering from Javi.
“Well, you look handsome.” You smirked, watching Javi walk down the hallway in one of his dark washed pairs of tight jeans, paired with a tan button up and black jacket overtop of it. Javi’s jaw just about dropped as he watched you make your way out from around the counter, showing off the cute, burnt orange dress you had put on over your cream colored turtleneck.
“Me? Jesus Christ, look at you, Osita.” You giggled as you pressed up on your tiptoes, giving him a quick kiss as you draped your arms over his neck.
“Oh shhhh. Thank you, Jav. You ready to leave?” You smiled up at him, Javi praying you couldn’t feel how fast his heart was racing as he caged his chest against yours, thinking about the last drive he was ever about to make with you before you went from girlfriend to fiancé.
“I’m ready whenever you are.”
“Can I trust you to carry the other pie on the way down to the car without eating any of it?” You laughed, rolling your eyes as you reached over the counter to hand him the tin foil covered dessert.
“Yes, you can trust me. I think I left my phone in the bedroom, let me just go grab it really quick and then we can go, okay?” You nodded at him as he quickly made his way back to your room, cell phone already tucked away in his pants when he put on his jeans 15 minutes ago. He looked over his shoulder to check and make sure you hadn’t followed behind, pulling out the ring box one last time, taking a deep breath before giving it a little squeeze and stashing it back in his pocket.
It was really fucking happening.
As the two of you began your drive to what you assumed was Chucho’s, Javi turned up the volume of the CD he had picked out to play in the car, “Everywhere” by Fleetwood Mac now bumping through the speakers. He reached over the center console, intertwining your fingers with his as he grabbed your hand, smiling over at you as the melodic intro began. “This song always makes me think of the first night I ever stayed over at your apartment. All you had to eat was fuckin’ mac and cheese.”
“Oh my God, I remember that. I was so embarrassed because I had nothing else to eat and I didn’t want you to think I was a crazy person who only ate like a 10 year old. God, that feels like forever ago.” Running your free hand over your face, the two of you laughed over the melodic soundtrack playing in the background, the memory of that night making your heart grow warm.
“I guess. Honestly, it still almost feels like it was yesterday. I just remember how fucking nervous I was the whole goddamn night.”
“With how many times we fucked that night, you really didn’t seem nervous.” You giggled, rubbing your thumb over the rough skin of his hand interlaced with yours.
“I was. I was so nervous I was gonna fuck something up, because I knew I was already so fucking in love with you, and it scared the shit out of me. No one else has ever made me feel like you do. I knew from that day on I never wanted to live without you.”
“Well, if it makes you feel any better, I felt the exact same. We’ve come a long way since then, huh?” The two of you smiled at each other as you leaned your head over to rest on Javi’s shoulder, Javi pressing a tender kiss in your hair, the sweet and familiar smell of your shampoo flooding him with comfort, easing his nerves just a touch as changed course from his usual route to the ranch, making you perk back up in confusion.
“Since when do we go this way to your dad’s house? We’ve never gone this way before.” You questioned, a puzzled look spreading across your face.
“I know. Just trust me, okay?” He grinned softly, giving you a reassuring squeeze of his hand.
“Okay?” You replied wearily, giving Javi a suspicious look. “What the hell are you up to?”
“Osita. Just trust me.”
“Fine, I should know better than to ask questions at this point, I know you’re not gonna tell me anything. Do I get a hint?”
“No, you dork.”
“You’re lucky you’re cute.” You grumbled, resting your head back against Javi as he drove the two of you down an unfamiliar path, the sounds of Fleetwood Mac filling the comfortable silence between you.
It wasn’t long until the road you were on started to become vaguely familiar, peeking out the window of the truck to try and piece together why your surroundings felt so recognizable. It wasn’t until you saw the white “For Sale” sign, now covered with “SOLD” in bright, red letters, peeking out of the tree lined driveway that you began to put two and two together.
“Wait… Isn’t this the place that we went to go see for Steve’s friend a couple weeks ago?” You asked, looking back at Javi as he slowed the speed of the truck, beginning to turn into the driveway.
“Mmmhhmm.” Javi nodded, his fingers drumming nervously on the steering wheel.
“It- It looks like he must have bought it, so why are we back here? Are you sure he’s fine with us just like, showing up here?” You were absolutely stumped as to why you were back at the plot of land you had gone to check out for Steve’s friend after his Halloween party until you rounded the corner along the “For Sale” sign.
“Yeah, I think he’ll be okay with it.” Javi smirked, gazing over at you.
Then all of a sudden, it hit you like a ton of bricks.
The conversation you had overheard between Javi and Steve at the Halloween party.
The reason why he had asked you to come look at this place for Steve’s buddy.
Why “SOLD” was plastered over the for sale sign.
You could physically feel your jaw drop, hanging open so wide, you wouldn’t have been surprised if it had dropped through the floor of Javi’s truck. Your eyes grew as you looked over at Javi, your head darting back between him and the trees lining the driveway, practically frozen in shock.
“Javi…” You whispered, your breath shaky and trembling from the butterflies building in your stomach. His silence had never felt more comforting, simply smiling back at you before putting the truck into park, hopping out to make his way to the driver’s side, opening the door for you. You quickly wiped your palms against your dress, feeling how sweaty they had become from the nerves building inside you before sliding out of your seat, walking hand in hand with Javi the last few feet down the driveway before the trees opened to the open, grassy field hidden behind it, just as charming and beautiful as you remembered it.
You had been so focused on the view in front of you, you hadn’t even noticed Javi tugging your hand over towards the old oak tree on the side of the property, wrapped in twinkling string lights and pictures of the two of you. Under the tree, a big plaid blanket laid spread across the grass, covered in piles of cute pillows and surrounded by a few candles and vases of beautiful orange and red flowers resting on the ground. You felt your heart race, knots of anticipation building in your stomach as you quickly began to realize the “SOLD” sign wasn’t the only thing Javi was trying to surprise you with.
Holy fuck, he was going to propose to you, too.
You used every last brain cell in you to try and form anything close to a coherent sentence, but the best you could get out as the two of you reached the blanket under the towering tree was a jumbled mess of tangled words, spilling from your mouth. “Javi- What, are- Baby, is this- Javi, I, I- Holy shit.” Your hands trembled as you reached out for one of the pictures hung around the base of the tree- One Chucho must have taken one of the days the two of you were out on the ranch, Javi carrying you on his back as the two of you laughed at each other with stupid grins on your face. You could practically feel your heart beating out of your chest, tears already beginning to well behind your eyes as you looked up at Javi.
“That one’s always been one of my favorites. You look so happy, Osita.” He whispered, rubbing his hand along your back as the two of you stared at the photo, Javi pressing a soft kiss against your head, letting out a shaky exhale as he pulled away. Grabbing your hand, he turned towards you, the Adam’s apple of his throat bobbing as he swallowed, trying to compose himself before he spoke again. “All I ever want is for you to be happy, baby.”
You let out an audible gasp, covering your trembling hands over your mouth as you watched Javi lower himself down onto one knee, tears welling behind those sweet brown eyes as he smiled up at you with that familiar gaze you realized you would now never have to live without.
“Osita. Baby, you make me the happiest man in the world. I don’t think I ever truly understood what it felt like to be this happy until I met you. I couldn’t be more thankful that your clumsy ass bumped into me all those months ago, because there hasn’t been a day that’s gone by since I’ve met you that my life hasn’t been better, because you’re in it. You’re everything I never knew I needed, and everything I never thought I deserved. You are the most beautiful, kind, and loving woman I’ve ever met. You’re also the most stubborn, headstrong, independent woman I have ever met, and I love every perfect part of you that makes you the person I feel head over heels in love with.  From the moment I met you, I couldn’t imagine how I could spend the rest of my life without you. I wanna spend forever with you, Osita. I wanna give you the world. I wanna start our lives together here. I wanna build you a house, I wanna fill it with as many kids as you want, I wanna spend the rest of my life here with you, because if I have that, that’s all I’ll ever need. You’re all I’ll ever need.”
Javi’s hands shook as he reached into his jacket pocket, pulling out the little velvet box that had been hidden inside, carefully opening the case to reveal the beautiful, oval cut diamond, nestled between little clusters of smaller stones, resting on top of a dainty and simple gold band. You could feel the tears streaming down your grinning cheeks, still trying to comprehend what was happening as Javi held the ring up towards you.
“Osita, I love you so much. Te amo más que a mi vida (I love you more than life itself). Baby, will you marry me?”
Javi could barely finish the question before you were jumping on him, wrapping your arms around him as tightly as you could, sobbing into his shoulder as the two of you fell onto the blanket, bodies tangled in each other as you laid on top of him.
“Of course. Of course I’ll marry you, you idiot. I love you so much.”
You laughed through your tears, grabbing his face, your lips meeting in an electric moment that made everything else around you stand still. You could feel each other’s grins against your parted mouths, laying back down on top of Javi squeezing him as tightly as you could to try and ground yourself in the reality of what had just happened.
“I think I’m supposed to put the ring on your finger now, you dork.” He laughed, pushing you both to sit up as he grabbed the case that had landed next to him on the blanket, cautiously taking out the ring, his thumb rubbing over the knuckles of your outstretched hand as he slipped onto your finger, the both of you staring at it in awe.
“Javi… Baby, holy shit this is beautiful. How did you- When did you-”
“It was my mom’s.” He grinned, biting down on his lip as he watched the ring sparkle on your finger before looking back up at you, the tears now building in both your eyes again. “When uh- In the end, before she passed, she always told me if I ever found someone, I could have it. I kinda wrote it off because I didn’t think I’d ever find anyone, let alone find you. I know I never really asked you what you wanted or liked, but-”
“Javi. It’s perfect.” You cupped his cheeks, your face beaming with joy as you shook your head still in absolute shock. As if the ring on your finger wasn’t enough, you looked back out at the green grass swaying in the gentle breeze, reminded of the fact that not only did Javi want you to be his wife, but this man had just told you he was about to build you a fucking house. “You really bought this? We’re gonna build a house here? This is all ours?”
“It’s all ours, Hermosa. Whatever you want, baby, I’ll build it for you.” Javi's face lit up watching the excitement radiating from you, your eyes darting back between the ring on your finger and the beautiful plot of land in front of you, trying to take everything in.
“You’re being serious? Like actually? We’re really gonna build a house here?” You asked, still trying to process.
“Yes, seriously.” Javi nodded, smiling at you as you shook your head in disbelief, burying your head in your hands and squealing before shooting up, running over to the middle of the empty plot grass, spinning in a circle, imagining the possibilities of what was to come.
“So we can have a big kitchen? And huge windows so it’s always sunny inside? And a porch on the back deck that we can watch the sunset? And a-”
“Baby, we can have whatever you want.” Javi chuckled to himself as you stood there for a moment, taking it all in before running back over to him, once again, tackling him to the ground pressing frantic kisses against his lips.
“We can finally have a bedroom big enough for a king size bed? Where we can hang out all day? And watch the sunrise? And have plenty of space to fuck my husband?” You smirked, feeling Javi’s cock twitch against the denim of his jeans as you laid on top of him. Javi let out a low groan as you hand snaked between your bodies, reaching down to palm at the bulge straining against his zipper.
“Say it again.” He rasped, planting hot, wet kisses along your neck, nipping at your skin.
“My husband. You’re gonna be my husband, Javier Peña.”
Husband.
Oh fuck, did that do something to do him hearing you say that out loud.
Grabbing you by the hips, he quickly flipped you over, your back resting on the blanket as he hovered over you, trailing kisses down every inch of your body before his palms pushed up the hem of your dress, grasping at the meat of your thighs. He cupped his hand against your core, already feeling the wetness that had begun to pool in your underwear, carefully hooking his fingers under the waistband before sliding it down your legs.
“Again, baby. Say it again.” He mewled, running his fingers between your folds, collecting your arousal as his thumb circled around your clit, making your breath shake as you spoke again.
“Husband. Fuck, Javi, I’m gonna be your wife.”
Now that, that one really did something to him.
“You’re gonna be my fucking wife.” Javi’s tongue darted between his parted lips as he sunk his two fingers deep inside you, making you moan beneath him. “I’m gonna be your fucking husband. I’m gonna take such good care of you, Osita. I’ll give you everything. Anything you want, Hermosa, I’ll give it to you.” His touch had you writing, bucking your hips against his hand as he thumbed at your sensitive bundle of nerves. His fingers curved ever so slightly, pressing against the soft spongy spot that made your pussy throb even more intensely than it already was. Javi’s forehead rested against yours, your noses brushing against each other as your words escaped from the soft, smirking curve of your lips, thinking about Javi’s promise.
“Anything? You’re gonna give me a house, your last name…you gonna give me a baby, too? Make you a husband and a daddy?”
Holy shit, you were really trying to fucking kill him.
Just the thought of that alone was enough for Javi to let out an audible groan, biting down on his tongue and taking a deep breath to compose himself so that he didn’t bust right that second. “Jesus Christ…” he growled, quickly removing his fingers, already soaked with your juices, making you whimper at the rapid loss.  Frantically, he undid his belt buckle, sliding his pants and boxers down his thighs to reveal his already hard cock, his tip red and leaking with precum. That was all it took before Javi was stroking himself, lining his tip up with your entrance and flushing his hips against yours, feeling his length bottom all the way out against your cervix, making you whine at his fullness inside you. You’d be lying if you said the idea alone hadn’t made you so wet and worked up, that even though Javi had barely spent any time working you open with his fingers, he still slid into your heat effortlessly.
“Fuckkkk meeee, Osita.” He grunted, already beginning to press into you at a rushed, sloppy pace. You had come to find out that while Javi had impressive stamina, there were times that the little things you said or did to him made him absolutely lose his mind. It would leave him so worked up and on edge, that his endurance flew out the window, barely standing a chance at lasting more than a few quick minutes buried inside you. Given your comment, the rate he was snapping his hips into yours, and that all too familiar lustful look in his eyes, you already knew he was a goner.
You grasped at fist fulls of his jacket, digging your fingers into the fabric as Javi punched deep into the spot that made your vision go white, feeling your cunt already beginning to clench around his cock as he rubbed his fingers frantically along your clit. “You want me to give you a baby, Osita? Shit- I’ll give you as many babies as you want. We’ll fill up every fucking room in this house. I’d fuck a baby into right now if I could. You’d like that, huh?” Javi hissed through gritted teeth, his strokes rapid and punishing as he punched against your g-spot, watching you whimper beneath him.
“Fuckkk, yes, Javi- ahhhh- Jesus, I want it so bad. I want everything with you, baby.”
“Fuck, Hermosa, I’m close- I can feel how close you are too, baby. So tight and wet. Give it to me, Osita. Want you to cum all over my cock before I fuck you full of me.” With a few more strokes, you could feel the tingle building at the base of your spine as your orgasm ripped through you, euphoria flooding through your veins across your body. Your moans and cries as you tightened around Javi’s dick had him moments away from coming undone just as fast as you had, his rambling becoming just as fast and boundless as his last few pumps inside of you.
“Fuck, you’re gonna be such a good wife- oh shit- such a good mom. I can’t until we can have a family to raise here- I can’t believe-ahhhh- I can’t believe your mine forever. Can’t believe I get to marry you, fuck a baby into you, holy shit, fuck, fuck- ohhhhhhh-” With one final thrust, Javi buried himself deep in your hilt, milking himself of every last drop of his spend, slumping into you, your chests rising and falling in unison as you both came down from your blissed out highs before pulling out from the wet mess between you.
“Well fuck me…” You giggled, running your hand over your face, smirking back up at Javi.
“Jesus Fucking Christ, Osita. I’d apologizing for fucking busting so quick, but goddamn, if you keep saying shit like that, I swear…” The two of you laughed, Javi picking up the hand covering your face, kissing the ring now wrapped around your finger before leaning down to meet your lips in a long, tender kiss.
“You liked that, huh?” You smirked up at him, biting down on your lip as he nipped at your ear, his voice low and raspy as his hot breath pressed against your skin.
“Baby, if you keep talking like that, I swear to God, I’m gonna find a way to beat your birth control and fuck a baby into you right this second.”
“I meannnnn, I wouldn’t be mad about it. You better stop saying shit before I run home and toss my birth control pills out the window, never to be seen again. No, no, this is bad, Jav! We aren’t even married yet, Jesus! We cannot be talking like this until we at least make that happen and we build this house. One step at a time.” You sighed, shaking your head and laughing to yourself as he tucked a stray piece of hair behind your ear before swiping his thumb along your bottom lip.
“One step at a time.” He repeated, softly gazing into your eyes, his sweet chocolate brown stare making you melt beneath him. “I love you so fucking much, Osita.”
“Te amo hasta la luna y de regreso, Javier Peña.” (I love you to the moon and back). I still can’t believe you did all this for me. I would have been happy with anything, but a proposal and surprise house combination is pretty fuckin’ tough to beat. Thank you, Javi. For everything. I am the luckiest woman in the world. I honestly still can’t believe this, oh my God.”
“There’s still one more surprise.” Javi grinned, his comment making you sit up in shock.
“Javi. Seriously? How could there possibly be any more surprises? Did you get me a fucking unicorn too?”
“Last one, I promise.”
Javi grunted as he pushed himself up to stand, extending his arm down to you to help pull you towards him. You couldn't help but wrap your arms around him, squeezing your body against the warm familiar space of his, staring out into the blank canvas that would be yours and Javi’s home. The two of you stood there for a moment in silence, smiles stretched wide across your faces as you held each other in the crisp November breeze, feeling like the only two people in the world to exist. No one but you and him. You had Javier Peña forever, and you were never letting go.

As you had finally come to grips with the reality of what had just happened on the actual car ride over to the Peña ranch, you could feel your head spinning with questions as to how in the world Javi had managed to pull all of this off.
“Wait okay, so when did you get the ring? You hid it really well, I had no idea you even had it.  Did you set all of this stuff up? When the hell did you go buy this beautiful piece of land we’re about to build a house on? How long have you been-”
“Jesus Hermosa, one at a time.” Javi chuckled, resting his hand on your thigh to try and slow your interrogation as he drove.
“Sorry, sorry. I still can’t believe you did all of this, I wanna know all the details now! Okay, the ring- I’ll start there. God, it’s so pretty.” You beamed, holding out your hand in front of you to stare at it.
“I got it from my dad after my birthday party. Believe me, I would have done this sooner, but all the stuff with buying the fucking land was a pain in my ass, and took way longer than I thought it was going to. I put the offer in right before we left for Chicago, and didn’t close on everything until like 2 weeks ago. ” Javi sighed, shaking his head.
“Yeah Jav, I’m SO upset you didn’t get this beautiful piece of land to build our dream house on and propose to me a few weeks sooner, I’m calling it all off.” You joked, your voice oozing with sarcasm as Javi rolled his eyes at you.
“Pendejo.”
“Hey, you’re the one who asked to marry me. When did you decide building a house was gonna be a part of this whole plan?” You asked, smirking over at Javi, giving him a little nudge across the center console.
“For a while now. I looked at a few houses after I got the ring, but nothing felt right. My dad built our house on the ranch when he and my mom got married, and after talking with him, it was the only thing that made sense. I want our house to be everything we want. Everything you want.” He smiled, tracing his thumb in soft circles along your leg.
“Javi, we could live in a cardboard box together and I would be happy. I don’t care as long as I’m with you. Although, I’m not mad about it.” The both of you laughed to yourselves, stupid grins on your faces. “So like, are you gonna build it? Not that I don’t trust your construction skills, but that seems like a lotta house for one man.”
“Jesus, no. My cousin Danny’s a contractor- I talked to him when I was thinking about doing all of this. He helped me find the place and already agreed to start building whenever we’re ready. I told him obviously we would help whenever we could, and my dad has already offered to help too- he’s about to be over there every day, because he’s convinced the sooner the house is built, the sooner he gets his grandkids.”
“I think he may be the most excited out of anyone.” You giggled, shaking your head. “So he obviously knows about all this? Did he help with setting everything up?”
“Yeah, he had some help too.” Javi smiled as the two of you pulled into the driveway of the Peña ranch, the sun slowly beginning to set behind the horizon, the golden rays spilling in through the windows of his truck as he shifted it into park. He quickly got out, hopping around to your side of the car to open your door, taking your hand and helping you down after planting a soft kiss on your lips.
The two of you walked hand in hand up to the house, giddy with excitement to finally talk with Chucho about everything Javi had surprised you with today, almost forgetting that the 3 of you still had Thanksgiving to celebrate on top of everything else. “Oh shit, the pies!” You exclaimed, getting ready to run back to the truck before Javi grabbed your arm, stopping you in your tracks.
“I’ll go get them in a minute, let’s go inside, okay?” He insisted, dragging you back towards the house.
“Javi, it’ll take like 2 seconds, I-”
“Ostia. Just go inside, okay?”
“Fine, fine!” You laughed, reaching your hand down to twist open the doorknob, looking up at Javi’s boyish grin. “I just don’t understand why-”
“OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, THEY’RE HERE! AHHHHHHH HONEY!”
You stood there for a moment, wondering who the hell was screeching at the top of their lungs, ambushing you in a hug that felt more like a death grip than anything else. It took a second before you processed the all too familiar voice and arms wrapped around your body, making your heart race and tears begin to fall down your face.
“Wait, wha- Wait Mom?! What are you-”
“Oh sweetheart, oh my God! BOYS! GET YOUR ASSES OUT HERE! COME CONGRATULATE YOUR SISTER.” Your Mom shouted over your shoulder, still squeezing you in her arms, shaking you frantically. “JAVI, HONEY, AH WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR YOU!” Your mom shrieked, pulling Javi in for just as tight of a hug as the one you had just gotten a few seconds earlier before turning back to you, squeezing you again.
“Wait, everyone- Mom, what the fuck? What are you- wait, what are you all doing here?” Finally beginning to come to, you pulled away from your mom to see not only Chucho, but your dad, brothers, and nieces all smiling back at your awestruck face.
“Language honey, Jesus, just because you’re getting married doesn’t mean you get to swear at your mom.” She swatted at you, rolling her eyes.
You took another step back as your eyes darted between Javi and your family, your jaw hanging open in absolute shock. “But when did you- how did- Wait, what is happening?” You ran your hands through your hair, head swiveling back and forth, looking for someone to explain how the hell your family had ended up here, at the Peña Ranch in Laredo, Texas.
Shuffling up behind your mom, your dad greeted you, pulling you in for a quick hug and little noogie on your arm before doing the same to Javi, standing between the two of you as he spoke. “Once this kid knew when he was gonna propose, he wanted to find a way for us to be there. He knew how much you didn’t wanna miss Thanksgiving, which I don’t fucking understand, I thought you were gettin’ a get outta jail free card from these idiots,” He gestured over at Charlie and David, shrugging in agreement before turning back to you, “Javi asked if we wanted to come down here for Thanksgiving so we could celebrate it and spend it with you. You found a good one, kiddo.”
“Congrats, asshat. If there’s hope for you, then there’s hope for us all, isn’t there?” David snickered, giving you a playful punch before patting you on the back for a hug.
“To say there’s hope for you is generous.” You smirked at David, elbowing him back as Olivia squealed, running up to you with her arms outstretched, her patience running out as she waited for the grownups to finish talking.
“AUNTIE BEAR!”
“Cutie patootie!” You shrieked back, picking her up and spinning her around.
“Auntie Bear, did Mr. Javi do the surprise? Did you know that Mr. Chucho has cows?! And horses!? I got to go pet one and Brianna did too, but she was scared and cried, but I didn’t ‘cause I’m really brave!” Olivia beamed, giggling as you gave her one last twirl as you set her back down.
“You got to go see the animals? Aren’t they so cute? Yes, Mr. Javi did the surprise, it was a really good one.” You smiled back at Javi, tears welling in your eyes, wondering how your heart could feel any fuller.
“This niñita y su hermana (little girl and her sister) took very good care of the animals this afternoon. Gracias, peque (thanks, little one).” Chucho grinned, reaching down to give Olivia a gentle high five as she bounced in excitement before looking back up at you. “Oh mija. I am so happy for you both. Your family is a hoot, I will tell you that. I see where you get your spunk from.” All of you laughed as you wrapped your arms around Chucho.
“Mr. Peña, that’s a very nice way of calling us the biggest bunch of annoying idiots you’ve ever met, so thank you.” Charlie remarked, making everyone laugh equally as hard as he leaned against you, holding your other niece, Brianna as he ruffled your hair. “I’m so happy for you, Cubby. Natalie says she wishes she could be here, but with the baby, she couldn’t make it out.”
“I’d ask if she was mad, but considering you got these two little monsters and yourself out of her hair, I’m guessing she’s kind of relieved. Tell her we’re excited to meet baby Lucas at Christmas. Thank you, Charlie.”
Now that you had finally said hello to everyone, you turned back around to look at Javi, the look on his face only slightly smug as he winked at you, shaking your head back at him in disbelief. “You are absolutely insane, you know that?” You tried to laugh through your tears, caging your chest against Javi’s as you hugged him, wondering how in the world you had ended up so goddamn lucky. “Thank you, Javi. This is- I can’t- I don’t even know what to say. I love you so much.” Javi reached down, brushing a stray piece of hair from your face as he cupped his hand around your jaw, smiling out at your family before back down at you.
“I told you, Osita. You deserve everything. I’m glad I get to spend forever trying to give it to you. I love you too.” He leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss on your lips, quickly interrupted by the sounds of Olivia’s disgust at the two of you.
“Ew, that’s really gross. Auntie Bear, do you have to kiss him now because you’re getting married? Maybe just do that when I’m not here.” She grimaced, covering her eyes and sticking out her tongue. Your family burst out in laughter, only to be interrupted once again by your mom’s excited screams.
“MARRIED! Honey, you’re getting MARRIED!”
“Jesus, Pam! I’m right here! You’re gonna blow out my fuckin’ ear drum!” Your dad winced, covering the sides of his head with his hands.
“Yeah. Yeah, we’re getting married.” You replied to your mom, without breaking your stare up at Javi, your cheeks warm and full from the grins between them.
Tumblr media
The rest of the night was spent full of joy and laughter as all of you gathered in the Peña’s kitchen for Chucho’s Thanksgiving feast, telling your family all about the surprises of your day, listening to them explain their antics of getting from Chicago to Laredo, how they had spent the day with Chucho at the ranch after helping set up for the proposal, and stories of Thanksgivings past, and the sweet memories of the family you’d wished could have been here to celebrate. The hours passed by like seconds as you ate more than your fair share of food, (excluding the pie you had made, considering Javi and your brothers practically inhaled it from the moment it was set out on the table), and laughing harder than ever as your family taught Javi and Chucho how to play “Chaos Cutlery”- your family’s version of the game “Spoons”, which wasn’t really that much different besides the element of danger involved with your competitive-ass siblings.
 You truly didn’t think that your heart could get any fuller as you looked around to see all of the people you loved more than anyone in the world all gathered in once place, celebrating the happiest day you had ever had with the man you were going to get to call yours for the rest of your life. As the hours of the night grew later and later, you found yourself fighting off the sleep from your amazing, but exhausting day, not wanting the dream that had been today to come to an end. It wasn’t until Javi noticed you softly snoring against his shoulder as you were sitting on the couch, realizing the only ones left awake were him and your brothers, deep in an argument about who would win in a fight between 100,000 chickens and 10 dinosaurs, that he realized that it was probably time to get you home.
“Hermosa.” He whispered, pressing a soft kiss on your forehead. “Baby, let’s get you home, okay?”
“I’m awake. I don’t want today to be done.” You grumbled, half-asleep, eyes still closed shut as you curled into Javi’s lap.
“Osita, it’s 1 in the morning, everyone else is asleep too. Your family’s here all weekend, baby, I promise we’ll get to spend lots of time with them, we gotta get you home before I fall asleep, too. C’mon.” He chuckled to himself, watching you scrunch your face, trying to wake yourself up as he helped to pull you off the couch. Javi tried his best to say goodbye to his dad to let him know you were leaving, even though he had already been sound asleep for the past hour in his chair with Olivia and Brianna on either side of him, the trio up well past their usual bedtime. Javi's heart fluttered at the sight, watching the fabric of your families lives intertwining to become one, fitting perfectly together. After you and your family said your half coherent goodbyes for the night, Javi helped hoist you up into the truck before the two of you headed back to the apartment.
Curling over the center console to rest your head against Javi’s shoulder, a sleepy smile spread across your face tangling your hand in his as he traced gentle circles with his thumb along your skin.
“Javi…” You mumbled, your eyelids heavy with sleep as your blinks grew slower and slower.
“Yeah, baby?”
“This was the best day I think I’ve ever had in my entire life. No, I know it was the best day I’ve ever had in my entire life. I can’t believe you wanna marry me. And build me a house. And that you made sure my family was here to celebrate. I love you so much, Javi. Thank you for everything. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
“Today’s the best day I’ve ever had too, Osita.” He grinned, pulling your intertwined hand with his up to his mouth, pressing a tender kiss on your knuckles. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you too, Hermosa. I can’t imagine it without you. Te amo con todo mi corazón (I love you with all of my heart).” Javi let out a content sigh, pausing for a moment, waiting for response. It didn’t take him long to realize that you were already back asleep, the sweet sounds of your snores against his sleeve making him laugh to himself. “Dulces sueños, mi amor. Soy el hombre más afortunado del mundo. (Sweet dreams, my love. I am the luckiest man in the whole world.)
As Javi spent the rest of the drive with you propped up against his arm, he couldn’t help but smile at the beautiful gold band wrapped around your finger, resting in his lap.
Before you, Javier Peña didn’t really have much to live for. He didn’t think he’d deserved to. He was tired and broken, disappointed in the man that he had become. Now, you had become his everything. His light, his hope, the thing that made life worth living. You had taken his broken and battered pieces and put him back together. You had made him whole again. On a Wednesday in May, Javier Peña had fallen head over heels with you, the woman who would forever change his life for the better. And on Thursday in late November, the woman who had forever changed him, was now his forever, too.

Chapter One
Tumblr media
Pairing: Joel x F!Reader, pre-outbreak and post outbreak
AU (the only thing I kept was the outbreak, Joel, and Tommy's characters. Joel's backstory is different, and the way he finds Jackson is different. I may include Ellie one day, I just haven't planned that far)
Fic Summary: You worked for Joel and Tommy a few months before the outbreak. The outbreak happens, and you and Joel get stuck traveling the country and keeping each other safe. Neither of you spoke about the feelings you had for one another pre-outbreak, and in a post-apocalyptic world, it seems like survival should be your only focus. But feelings can't be ignored forever.
Fic tags: Explicit Smut (18+ MDNI), Smut, Language, Canon-Typical Violence, Alcohol Use, Age Difference (Reader is 10 years younger than Joel), slow burn, mutual pining, angst, trauma, SA referencing later but I will put a big warning on those chapters

April 2003
“Shit,” you muttered under your breath, as the subway lurched forward, catching you off guard.
Today was the first day of your new job at a big-time construction company in downtown Manhattan. You had just moved to NYC a couple months ago, and this job was the first place that made you a reasonable offer. You were beginning to work through the last of your savings and getting sick of bumming it on your old college dormmate’s couch, so you eagerly accepted the position. The last thing you wanted to do was ask your parents for money – they were already so worried about you living in New York and working in Manhattan.
You thought back to when you called your mom and dad to tell them you finally got a job offer, so excited to tell them you could get your very own place if it all worked out.
“But Baby, don’t you think it’s a little dangerous working down there after what happened?” your mom had begged on the phone.
"Mom, please don’t worry, this building is nowhere near as big, this one only has 10 floors, I promise I will be ok,” you pleaded, hoping she won’t guilt trip you into moving back to the suburbs of Chicago.
You had always been a quiet, shy, studious type. Your parents always joked you would live with them til you were 40, never one to party or do anything bad. Needless to say, when you announced after graduation you wanted to move to New York, your whole family was stunned. You were pretty sure they expected you to chicken out, or move back home after a month, but you had a dream and you were determined.
Suddenly, the tinny voice over the subway speaker broke into your reverie, announcing your stop. You filed out of the packed car with loads of others who look like they were all going to similar corporate jobs. You tugged anxiously on the sleeve of your blazer as you made your way up the stairs and out onto the street. The crisp spring air that hit your face was a welcome change to the stuffy, overpacked subway car you had just left.
Lucky for you, Miller & Miller Contracting, Inc. was a mere 3 blocks from the subway. Your heels clicked loudly in your ears as you approached the building with ten minutes to spare. Relief began to wash over you a bit when you realized you planned the commute perfectly. You hated being late.
You pushed the door open into the lobby, approaching a large desk with two receptionists. Both were talking animatedly on their headsets and transferring calls. Patiently waiting for one of them to be available, you casually glanced around the lobby to avoid looking as nervous as you felt. The lobby itself was beautiful: it was completely open all the way to the top floor, with the glass elevator shaft behind the reception desk. The front of the building also was all glass, so that it afforded a beautiful view as the elevator took you up to your destination.
“Can I help you?” one of the receptionists called out. She had curly, short blonde hair, thin, and was impeccably dressed.
"Yes! I’m sorry, yes, it’s my first day in accounting. I am supposed to be meeting Heather, my name is –“ the receptionist cut you off, guessing your name before you could even finish your sentence. You confirmed who you were, and she got up to come around the desk.
"I’m taking the newbie upstairs to accounting, I’ll be right back, need anything?” she called back over her shoulder to her long haired, brunette cohort.
The slightly older receptionist shook her head in acknowledgment, still listening to whoever was on the other end of the phone call.
The receptionist who greeted you smiled and stuck out her hand.
"I’m Maggie, it’s nice to meet you. Come around to the elevator, I’ll take you up to Heather.”
She led you around the back of her desk to the elevator bank, her curly hair bobbed as her heels clicked on the dark tile floor. She began rattling off questions and information, no doubt a side effect of her job, and possibly caffeine, as you waited next to her for the elevator to arrive.
"How old are you? Are you from New York? Do you know anyone who works here? I’m always so excited when someone new joins, sorry if I’m making you nervous!  It’s a fun place to work, it really is, there’s a lot of great people here. I know your position can be a tough one, so please give it a chance, I swear it’s worth it.” She paused for a minute, realizing she might be scaring you off, as the elevator dinged and the doors opened.
“Uhhh,” you stammered, trying to absorb the last bit of information without looking concerned, and stepped into the empty car. Maggie stabbed the button for the 6th floor as you replied.
"I’m 25, it’s my first ‘real’ job out of college, I just mainly had internships before now, and they hardly paid much. I’m glad I can finally stop couch surfing. I am from a small town outside Chicago, I went to school there and I’ve always wanted to live in New York. My old college roommate already lived here, so I decided to give it a shot,” you paused for a moment as Maggie nodded along eagerly with your story. You frowned slightly.
"I’m sorry, what did you mean when you said-" Right then, the elevator doors pinged to floor 6, opening up to an empty hallway.
“OK we’re here! Follow me!” Maggie cut you off, and whisked you down the hallway, which took you to an open floorplan filled with cubes upon cubes of bustling employees. Some were chatting between their desks, others were hurriedly talking on the phone, and some mindlessly scrolling on their computers.
Maggie led you to the back wall, which consisted mostly of offices, and what looked to be conference rooms in one end. She turned left as you rushed to keep up while trying to absorb your surroundings. You nearly smacked into her when she came to an abrupt stop in front of a partially open office door. She knocked gently, smiling at the person inside.
“Good morning, Heather! I have your new hire here,” she gestured towards you and waved you over. There sat Heather, your new boss, who you had only met when you interviewed with her and HR. Her mid length dirty blonde hair was perfectly in place, bangs framing her face, just like the day you met. She was probably about 15 years older than you, but she looked like she could pass for around your age. She was very trim, wearing a form fitting black dress with strappy sandals, and her makeup looked impeccable. If it wasn’t for the old fashioned hair style, she could pass for around 30.
You stepped into Heather’s office, which you hadn’t seen when you interviewed with her a couple weeks back. It was small, but it had a decent view, which was to Heather’s back as she stood from her desk to greet you warmly by your name and thank you for being so punctual. She glanced behind you at Maggie and thanked her for showing you up, effectively dismissing her. You turned back to wave your thanks to Maggie, but she was already gone, heels echoing down the hallway back towards the elevator.
“Alright! Follow me, I will take you to the rest of the department and introduce you to everyone,” she motioned for you to follow her out of her office. Being the Controller, she had her own personal space away from the rest of the group, which you found was not too far away from her office. Heather led you back the way you came but kept going straight along the wall of offices, talking to you over her shoulder as she walked.
"I hope you made it in OK, I’m so glad the sun is out this morning! I was getting sick of all that rain, this weekend was such a drag with all the dreary weather.” You hummed your agreement and assured her you made it in just fine, not letting it be known you were overanalyzing your commute all weekend long.
Heather stopped at the corner of the floor, punched a personalized code into a keypad next to a door and opened it. You had initially thought it could be a conference room, but in fact it turned out to be a decently sized room filled with cubes, some filing cabinets, and a small safe. You glanced around at the room of about ten employees hard at work, heads mostly down or on the phone. Two girls around your age who were seated next to each other in the corner of the room quickly quieted down their chatter, and looked in your direction when you walked in. You gave a shy smile towards them as Heather addressed the department.
“Good morning gang, this is our new Accounts Receivables Specialist,” she turned towards you, announcing your name to the group. “Please make her feel welcome, if you don’t mind showing her around where the bathrooms and coffee are, I would appreciate it. I have a meeting this morning with the big guy I need to get ready for, I’m sorry I couldn’t do it myself.” She turned back to you apologetically.
"We have a great, tightknit team here, they'll show you the ropes. This is your desk,” she led you over near the corner of the room where the two girls had been chatting. “I already stocked it with some paper and pens, but we do have a supply closet on this floor if you need anything else, and Colleen is going to be your trainer.”
She motioned over to one of the two chatty girls, who bounced over with a smile and an outstretched hand. You shook it, reintroducing yourself warmly as Heather made her exit.
"Again, sorry guys, I have a meeting with Joel, and you know how he is.” She rolled her eyes, and she was met with some chuckles and a couple looks of sympathy. Heather gave you a final wave and a promise to return around lunchtime to check in, and left through the same door you came in, with it locking shut behind her.
Colleen must have been around your age, her blonde hair was pulled back into a loose bun at the nape of her neck, and she had curious, bright blue eyes. She was wearing a business casual, knee length, light pink dress that was perfect for the beautiful spring day. You felt a bit out of place in your navy blazer and matching navy dress pants, but you wanted to look your most professional on your first day.
Colleen began to explain you will be shadowing her for the morning, getting you used to the software system they used, how to look up accounts, and where important files are stored. You learned Colleen was working in Accounts Payables, opposite your job. You realized the two of you will be working closely together, and connected the dots on why Heather chose her to train you, vaguely wondering who had your position prior.
As you pulled your rolling chair up to her desk to observe, notepad and pen in hand, you coolly questioned who Joel was, and what the reaction was all about. Colleen seemed the type that liked to gossip more than work, and she excitedly settled in to explain all the office politics to you.
“OK, so, Joel and Tommy run the company, they are brothers – Miller & Miller, get it?” she began, smiling brightly at you. “Tommy is SO much nicer than Joel, he is the one who schmoozes all of the new clients and signs all the new business. Joel is, well…” she trailed off, hands flailing gently, searching for an appropriate word to describe the head of the company without scaring off a new hire. “He can be challenging to work with sometimes, but don’t worry, you won’t have to work with him one-on-one. We have monthly meetings with him as a department, it’s a lot easier to handle him as a group, most of the time.”
“How do you mean, ‘challenging’?” you pressed, leaning forward, hoping to learn more about what you were getting into, not that you had much of a choice if you wanted to continue to live in the city. “Do you mean he just asks a lot of questions, or…?” Colleen picked up where you left off.
He’s mean,” she stated bluntly, smile faltering slightly. “He has made employees cry before, and he has caused people to quit on the spot during his meetings. He’s tough, but he’s the guy who goes to the job sites and makes sure everything is running smoothly. Unfortunately, that type of personality, especially from a man, on those construction sites is exactly what they need to make sure nobody is slacking off and cutting corners. They are too scared of him to screw up!” she laughed, trying to ease any nervousness she caused you.
You leaned back in your chair, gaze drifting aimlessly around her desk as you absorb what she told you. Before you could add anything further, the other girl Colleen had been chatting with earlier piped up from the adjoining cube.
“He’s an asshole. If he ever does say anything hurtful towards you, you have to just let it roll off your shoulders. That’s why Heather is so good in her position, she has to be one-on-one with him a lot, and she can handle his shit much better than most,” the redhead, whose name you saw on the outside of her cube was Debbie, gruffly interrupted. You could tell she was the opposite of Colleen – while Colleen is bubbly and sweet, Debbie seemed tougher and had an edge, although she still seemed just as friendly as she continued to help paint the picture of the mysterious Joel Miller.
“At the end of the day, you have to keep in mind we are not out here saving lives. We are working in accounting at a construction company. He gets so heated and spouts off at the mouth like this company is saving the world," Debbie finished explaining with a huff. She rolled her green eyes, crossed her arms over her chest and glared off at a fixed point on the wall beside her.
“Debbie is right, but she is just extra emotional about it because the girl in your position before had a run in with Joel, and she quit. Cheryl was Debbie’s best friend here, so she is just a little sore over it still.” Colleen tried to explain gently, without upsetting Debbie more.
Debbie nodded in agreement, sighing, she leaned forward with her elbows resting on her knees, she dragged her eyes away from the wall to look at the two of you.
"She’s right. Cheryl didn’t deserve that from him, but she did what was best for her when she quit. It happens a lot, I just thought Cheryl was used to it. She had been here 8 years!” Debbie exclaimed, throwing up her hands with frustration.
You gulped and began to get nervous, not really sure what to say. All you could hope was that maybe you didn’t have to have one-on-one time with Joel. You just knew you needed to keep this job, or else you were packing your bags and moving back home. Your hands started fidgeting on your lap, and you chewed your bottom lip slightly as you took in the information.
“Well, thanks for the warning, girls, I will do my best to keep my head down and stay below the radar,” you chuckled quietly, hoping to ease some of the tension and change the topic.
Debbie smiled at you, a little sadly.
"That's a good plan, but since you are in receivables, Joel may put you on the spot in some of our meetings and want to know what the payment status is on specific clients of his. Heather will typically field those questions if she knows the information beforehand, but if he catches you off guard like he did with Cheryl…” she drifted off, allowing you to connect the dots on your own. “Just keep your guard up, and go into those meetings with TONS of notes on all his clients, that is the best advice I can give you. And let Heather do all the talking.” With that, Debbie scooted her chair back to her computer to get back to work.
Your eyes probably gave away your nervousness when you turned back to Colleen. She smiled warmly at you and patted you gently on the knee. “Don’t worry about it, I promise it's not as bad as it seems. Like Debbie said, Heather fields most of Joel’s questions directly. Plus, we just had our monthly meeting with him last week. You won’t have to cross paths with him for another month.” Colleen turned back to her computer and started explaining the accounting software to you.
You were really only half listening as your panic was bubbling just below the surface, replaying Debbie’s words in your head while you tried to focus on what Colleen was teaching you. You were beginning to understand why this place offered you the job so quickly, you just hoped you could be tough enough to get through those monthly meetings.

how about skz reaction or headcanon about you being pregnant
oooh okay, I do love when men are whipped for their pregnant partners i find it so cute :((
I'm gonna write this as a shorter headcanon paired with a tiny bit of dialogue for each, I hope that's okay <3
Tumblr media
pairing: afab!reader x skz (no pronouns - if i used any, lmk <3)
warnings: really fluffy, mentions of pregnancy (duh), mentions of body insecurity, mentions of anxiety about becoming a parent (jisung), mentions of food, joke about the word daddy (minho), lmk if there's anything else!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chan
I feel like he would be so extremely happy and proud all the time when you're pregnant. he'd just be like "we made that!! look at my partner, they're carrying our BABY!!" and lowkey everyone would be tired of him talking about you and showing pictures of ultrasounds, you and your belly bc mans shows everyone he talks to for more than 15 seconds. Real proud boi. also, 100% goes to birthing classes with you simply because he's more nervous for the birth than you are :((
"Y/n, have I ever told you how proud I am that you're carrying our baby?" he asks one night. You're half-laying on the couch, because honestly, that's one of the only comfortable positions you have left as your body grows.
You smile over at him, lightly rolling your eyes. He tells you every single day, but you can't say you don't appreciate it - kind of makes some of the pains and aches worth it. Well, more than having a baby already did.
"Yes, my love," you hum. At your answer, he cheeses harder than ever, his heart and chest so full at spending time with you and seeing the way your body changes to accommodate for the little one. He doesn't think he will ever be happier, except for the day that he finally gets to meet your little one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Minho
okay but this one would definitely be nagging you every single day to take your vitamins and eat enough to feed both you and the baby. he would be cooking every single day, just to make sure himself that the food is safe for you to eat :(( I genuinely think that while he may be a tsundere at times, this would really bring out his affectionate and responsible side in a whole new way. he would definitely whine every time you ask him to do something for you, but then turn around and do it with a smile after like 2 seconds. Whipped.
"Baby, did you take your vitamins today?" the love of your life asks over his shoulder while cooking lunch for the both of you.
"Yes, dad," you sigh dramatically, but you can't help the smile spreading across your features anyway. Instead of bothering him, though, it fills him with indescribable joy. He's going to be a dad, and soon. He can't wait.
"Yah, you eating the vitamins means that the little one will get them, and I'm their dad, so," he says back, squinting at you while he stirs the contents of the pan to make sure it doesn't stick.
He also wants you to have the vitamins, but you don't need to know that. It would ruin his image if you did, obviously. Although he thinks that if he thinks of the concept of being a dad again, he will explode.
"Mhm, well you could do with asking me less than five times before noon, daddy."
His heart damn near bursts, and he can no longer help but grin hugely at you and abandon the food on the stove in favor of kissing your forehead gingerly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Changbin
the biggest hype man ever. tells you you're beautiful every time he sees you and 100% means it. tries really hard to do research on ways he can help you, and asks his mom and dad questions all the time. buys baby clothes from the moment you tell him that you're pregnant, and buys matching clothes for all of you. hears that swimming can help with the back pain, so he starts taking you swimming every single week - and compliments your swim suit every single time bc it accentuates his favorite belly.
"Wow," you hear your partner breathe as you walk into the living room in your new maternity pants. "I really am the luckiest man alive."
You know he means it, but it doesn't stop you from blushing and looking away. Changbin isn't having it.
"Hey," he says, coming over to wrap his arms around you gently and press a tender kiss to your forehead. "I'm serious. You've never been more beautiful to me. You're incredible."
Your knees grow weak, because honestly, what are you supposed to do with that? You just cheese at him and kiss his cheek in return. "Thank you, baby."
"I mean it," he murmurs, his hand coming up between you to touch your stomach softly. His eyes are so filled with love you almost start crying. "I can't wait to see you be a mom."
"I can't wait to see you be a dad," you grin, and his eyes widen for a second.
"I'm gonna be a dad," he says incredulously, the biggest smile on his face. His eyes glitter with excitement, and you think you've never been more in love with him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hyunjin
he's kinda scared, ngl. not to be a dad, that he's super excited for, but for you to give birth. he knows you're strong, but he doesn't know if he can handle seeing you in pain </3 definitely anxious all the time. you want to shower? not without him, you don't. wanna cook? don't you dare. reaching for something on a shelf? absolutely not. you're so annoyed but endeared bc he's so doting and cute :')
You know that Hyunjin doesn't like it when you change the sheets in the state you're in, but you couldn't help yourself. You changed them while he was at practice, and now he's huffing and scowling like you did something to offend him.
"Babe, I'm sorry," you plead, and due to the hormones, you feel tears build up before falling without your permission. At the sound of your sniffle, your partner immediately shoots up from the couch to come check on you.
"Hey, no, it's okay! I'm sorry, I shouldn't be treating you like this," he says sadly. You shake your head though.
"I know you just want to take care of me. It's okay. It's just the hormones," you pout. Hyunjin laughs.
"Okay. In the future, just wait for me, okay? I don't care if I'm tired; you're carrying a freaking baby, in comparison I'm better than ever, even after practice."
You nod, smiling at him and holding your tummy. He's going to make a fantastic dad.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jisung
a Babie. kinda scared, and this time bc he doesn't know if he's gonna be a good dad. he's still super excited, though! cannot believe the way your body is changing, and keeps touching your belly in awe. also super impressed by how you're handling it all and your knowledge of babies. literally perplexed as to where you learned it all. just like hyunjin, he's super protective. he doesn't know much about pregnancies, they kinda freak him out ngl, but he knows you shouldn't be overexerting yourself. always asks for advice and reassurance, even though you know he's gonna be a fantastic dad. you're just lowkey worried it's gonna leave you with two babies instead of one lmao
"Hey babe?"
It's 3am, but it's not like you could get comfortable enough to sleep anyway. Not being allowed to lay on your back is literally the worst. As soon as you even accidentally try, Jisung yells at you - lovingly, of course.
You give a hum and wait for him to continue.
"What if it doesn't like me?"
You almost laugh, but the genuine fear in his voice makes you pause. It breaks your heart that he's scared, but you understand him - becoming a parent is scary.
"First of all, call my baby an 'it' one more time and I'll punch you," you say softly, and it makes him snort. Success. "Second of all, there's no way they won't like you. Have you met you? You're amazing with kids. You'll be just fine."
"Thanks, love," he mutters, turning around in bed to look at you in the dark. An arm slides around your waist gently, his hand predictably landing on your tummy. "It can't be that bad - I mean, I have you. Super-mom," he says with the biggest grin you've ever seen. You snort.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Felix
hyper, learning everything he can from whoever he can. bothers any staff members with families, asking about their kids and how to parent. literally won't stop touching you for even a second, cheesing 24/7 like a total dork bc he can't believe that the love of his life is gonna give him a baby :(( keeps an eye on you, but isn't overwhelmingly worried - he knows you're fine to do most things despite your huge belly. he mostly lets you judge what you can and can't do, and thanks you every time you tell him something is difficult for you bc he's adorable like that <3
You're cooking dinner in the kitchen, but to no one's surprise, you're not alone. Felix hasn't left your side since he got home and wrapped his arms around you, pressing a kiss to your temple with a huge smile that would put the actual sun to shame.
You're feeling a bit crabby; your back hasn't stopped hurting for the past week. Your bump is becoming a lot more prominent, and boy, are you feeling it. You stir the sauce again, and step away from the stove. Your hands are on your back before you can help it, and you're hissing out a breath through your teeth. Of course, Felix notices.
"You alright, darling?" he asks gently. He's by your side in less than a second, hand on the small of your back to give you some support; it may not be much, but he's trying his best.
"I'm okay," you breathe after a second, smiling at the father of your baby. "My back's still feeling rough, that's all."
"I'm sorry, baby," he pouts, rubbing your back where his hand is resting. "If you want, I can finish this up?"
You consider it for a moment, but ultimately decide that you want to finish. You shake your head, and while you know he's dying to give you a moment to rest, he just nods and kisses your forehead. He doesn't leave your side until you're safely sitting in your chair at the dining table, just in case, but he doesn't try to take over. You have a big dumb grin on your face for the rest of the night.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Seungmin
he's not very outwardly expressive with other people, but it's always been different with you. it's not very overwhelming tho, he just doesn't always know how to express what he's feeling. that changes when you get pregnant, bc suddenly he can't help but constantly tell you how amazing you are. it's insane to him to see your body modify itself to fit your little one, and the thought of a mini you makes him absolutely die on the inside. definitely does as much as he can to make life easier for you, but in the subtlest of ways <3
"Seungmin?" you ask out loud as you pad down the hall to the spare bedroom - soon to become the nursery for your first child together. You smile at the sight of him carefully placing the throw pillows you just bought together on the small loveseat in the room.
"Oh, hey," he says, moving towards you when he sees you. He puts a piece of your hair behind your ear and smiles at you. "Did you see the sandwich I placed on the kitchen counter?"
Your heart is bursting with love (and hormones), so you can't help but well up a little bit. You duck your head to hide the unshed tears, removing any lingering evidence lest the man teases you to infinity.
"Baby," he grins in a teasing tone, eyes twinkling mischievously, "did I make you cry?"
The question is accompanied by a pretentious and over exaggerated pout, so you snort and smack him on the arm. He just giggles and goes to bring you to his chest gently, carefully maneuvering around your belly.
"I'm sorry, baby," he laughs.
"No you're not, you liar," you tease back, and when he laughs even more, you somehow don't mind anymore.
"No, I'm not. Now, let's go get you that sandwich, yeah? Or are you gonna waste all my hard work?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jeongin
kinda scared, but somehow calmer than jisung. just like felix, he asks literally anyone he can think of for parenting advice. people get sick of him real quick lmao. really adamant that he do literally everything in the house, since you're "hard at work cooking up a life". gets a tiny copy of every single ultrasound and puts it in his wallet. buys stupid books like "astrophysics for babies" and thinks they will genuinely work </3
"Y/n, come look at this!"
You turn around in the aisle of the grocery store, going back around the corner of the shelf to stare at Jeongin. He's holding up a tiny onesie with a matching hat. You quickly realize it matches his sweater and hat pretty well, and you can't help but giggle at him.
"Baby," you start, but he's not listening.
"Now we just need to get you one, too, and we can all match! Actually, we should just throw everything out and-"
"Jeongin. Sweetheart. Love of my life. You-"
"You forgot father to your baby," he grumbles, which makes you laugh even harder.
"Yes, my sweetheart, the love of my life, and the father of my baby," you correct, and when he looks satisfied, you continue. "I'm only like, 3 months along - we don't need to buy clothing yet."
"But-"
"We also in fact did not need the bottle warmer, the book for teaching our child Chinese, or even the very expensive walker you bought." When he pouts again, you soften a little. "Look. One outfit, okay? But no more until I'm at least 6 months along, yes?"
He's not listening, but you don't care much when he presses an almost bruising kiss to your cheek in glee. You're definitely going to be losing a lot of arguments for the coming 20 years or so.
Tumblr media

Part 4 of the mbappe fic where jude, Kobe and kylian meet irl + the mom too cuz why not. Sorry for asking too much but this is too good 😫🤚❤️
Face to face (Kylian Mbappe x Reader)
Tumblr media
Warnings: so much teasing, your brothers being little shits
Masterlist
Pt 1 Pt 2 Pt 3 Pt 5
If it were for you, this wouldn't be happening right now, but after your mother threatened to go to Paris herself to meet your boyfriend, you couldn't delay this anymore, so that takes you here, standing in front of your family's front door, hand in hand with the Kylian Mbappe.
Unfortunately, it's Jude who opens the door, eyebrow raised and pretended disgust as he looks you both up and down.
"Jobe! They are here!"
That call definitely did not sound good, your boyfriend giving you a confused look as you tense up.
You were right to be suspicious, as your little brother decides for some reason to come out to greet you both wearing a pair of boxing gloves, struggling to hug you then lightly hitting Kylian.
"Hello, Kyky" he greets "Prepared to fight?"
"This has to be a joke..." you sigh, unbelieving of your brother's antics, glaring at Jude snickering in the background.
Kylian, Kyky, smirks "I mean, I forgot my gloves, but we can do this the traditional way, unless you are too afraid to face me without the fancy gear"
You give him a wide eyed look "You have to be kidding me-Mum! Your sons are being weird again!"
The two brats glare at you "Snitch" they say.
You mum comes out of the house, your father close behind, both pushing through your gigantic brothers to tightly embrace you, your mother leaning to whisper into your ear.
"You and I still have a long conversation pending" wide smile that gives you the creeps when she talks, Jude and Jobe sticking out their tongues at you.
She separates from you, your father still taking you into his arms, you watch as your mum observes your boyfriend for a minute, before truly smiling and also hugging him -the look of betrayal in your brothers' faces hilarious.
"It's so nice to finally meet you, Kylian, you don't know how much I longed to finally meet the man who has my little y/n so head over heels.
"It's so nice to finally meet you too, Mrs Bellingham, I can definitely see who my dear y/n got that amazing smile from"
She laughs, Jude groans, it's your father's turn to greet your boyfriend, you can sense the evil and self-satisfied vibes coming from your brothers.
Your father has always been hard on your boyfriends, they know he will be on their side.
The older man looks the footballer up and down, blank look on his face.
He then smiles, kind greeting as his sons call him a traitor.
But what can your dad say? He is a true lover of good footballers, and Kylian looks nice enough.
Your mother calls you both to enter, hitting Jude and Jobe on the back of their heads as they try to put up mean faces.
Dinner is already set, and you have to fight off Jude as he tries to sit in between Kyky and you -little shit, he glares at your for the mumbled insult.
Jobe struggles to eat with the boxing gloves -he states Kylian is looking for the chance to catch him off guard and start their fight.
For some reason, Jude feels the need to tell Kylian all about the Erling Haaland being into you.
"Be careful, Kyky, or Erling might steal my sister from you"
Kylian laughs "He can try, but something tells me your sister has a clear preference in between us both"
"I honestly am curious to know if this little quarrels of yours will keep on going if you both do end up playing on the same team"
"Yeah, I will be like: Kyky, pass me the ball! Erling used to do it faster, you fucking idiot!"
"Jude!"
"Sorry, Mum"
Kylian pays no mind to Jude's words -he knows the Borussia Dortmund's player to be a little shit as you have told him so multiple times.
"When is our fight starting?" Jobe asks, everyone else having almost finished eating as he keeps on struggling.
"You know I am not going to fight you, right?"
"Ha! Coward!"
You turn to whisper to your mother "And you wonder why I waited so much for this to happen"
Dinner is over, and you all lazy around the living room, honestly, more of a "interrogating Kyky session" -you throw cushions at your brothers for their stupid questions.
Your boyfriend suddenly perks up "Oh, right, Jobe, I have something for you"
The youngest instantly stands up, getting away, raising his arms in a defensive way "Please, don't punch me!"
"Who is the coward now..." you whisper, he glares at you.
"Don't worry, Jobe, we won't fight until you give the sign, this is something else" he reaches down to his bag, searching through his packed up clothes before finally taking it out "Here you go"
Jobe hesitantly takes the package, eyes widening up as he sees it's contents "No way..."
"There you go, my shirt, given to you by me as you wished"
"You know where that would look amazing?" you ask "In your room, right in front of your study table, it will for sure upgrade your bedroom"
"But that is where he hung up my shirt!" Jude protests.
"Exactly, so much better"
He turns to you mum "Are you going to let her talk like that to me?"
"I mean, it's a pretty good gift, Jude"
"Mum!"
Your father looks almost shy as he opens his mouth, but before he can even talk, Kyky hands him too a package, smiling reassuringly as your father smiles happily.
"Seriously? You are all a bunch of traitors"
"I suppose you don't want yours"
"... I know realise why you are with my sister, you are both asshats"
Still, he happily takes his gift, your mother does too.
It gets late, everyone bidding goodbye as you all retire to your rooms, you taking Kyky's hands, taking him up to your room.
He admires where you grow up, looking around even if you are tangled up, cuddling, talking nonsense.
The door suddenly opens, you sit up, annoyed when you see both your brothers walking in without any notice, sleeping bags in hand.
"What do you two think you are doing?"
"A sleepover, of course" Jobr says as if it was obvious.
"Mum and Dad don't want grandkids yet, and besides, you want us and Kyky to get to know each other better, don't you?"
Your parents sure are confused to see the empty sleeping bags the next morning, Jude and Jobe having annoyingly thrown themselves to sleep in top of you and Kylian.
It surely will be a long week.

Promises. Eddie Munson x Fem! Reader. *FLUFFY ANGST*
Tumblr media
*NOT MY GIF*
Summary: Eddie’s wife is pregnant with their first child. While cuddling with her, he reflects on the type of dad he wants and doesn’t want to be.
Word count: 837
TW: Mentions of pregnancy. Mention of throwing up (nobody actually throws up. It’s just mentioned). Eddie talking about his parents (sad home life). A little bit of fluffy angst, but it ends fluffy I promise.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eddie couldn’t help but watch his wife from the bed as she washed her face clean in the bathroom. His gaze fell to her growing belly that was on the sink counter, a smile spreading across his face as the sight.
She turns the light off to the bathroom, walking back into their bedroom as she yawns, climbing into bed with her husband.
Eddie immediately shimmies down the bed to rest his head on her belly, giving the bump kisses through her shirt. “How’s she hanging today?” He asks, rubbing the sides of her belly.
“She’s a pain in my ass.” She jokes, rubbing her hands through his dark hair, untangling some knots. “Kicking me when she’s mad, which makes me have to pee every 3 seconds. I got tacos for lunch, and then threw them up 10 minutes later because someone doesn’t like the grease.”
Eddie chuckles softly. “Already fighting with mom? You’re supposed to be nice to her, remember?” He directs the question to his unborn daughter.
“The only thing she lets me eat without getting sick is ice cream, and bread.”
“She’s just like you already. Loves ice cream like her mom.” Eddie takes her hand and kisses her wrist. “I love you. Both of you.”
She smiles down at him, rubbing his cheek with her thumb. “We love you too, Eds. You’ve been so patient with me, even when I’m being a grumpy bitch.”
“You’re not grumpy. Just uncomfortable. Besides, I promised you I would be here every single step of the way, I wasn’t kidding.” He says, playing with her wedding ring. “I made a promise to myself a long time ago that I wasn't going to be like my father and I meant it.”
Even though they had been together for almost 5 years, married for almost 1 year, it wasn’t often Eddie talked about his parents, but more specifically his dad. She could count on one hand how many times he talked about him.
“My dad was so in and out when my mom was pregnant with me, just coming and going whenever he wanted. And then in and out of jail my whole childhood.” He wasn’t looking at her while he spoke about his absent father, somehow feeling ashamed and embarrassed, like it was his fault. “I promised myself if I ever had kids, I was going to be the best dad ever. That I would be there for my girl when she was going through the pregnancy.”
“Well guess what, you are the best soon to be dad, and best husband I could ever ask for.”
Eddie finally looked up at her, his big doe eyes filling with tears. “I know I said this before and even after we got married, but you know I’m never going to treat you the way my dad did my mom, right? I’m never going to hurt you.” His voice strained in the last sentence.
She takes her thumb and wipes a tear away from his cheek, cradling his stubbly face. “I know, baby. I know you would never hurt me. Just because you and your dad share DNA, doesn’t mean you’re going to turn out like him.”
He nods his head, leaning into her hand. “Never want to be like him.” He whispers, almost as if he was telling himself instead of her.
“You’re here with me, you’re not locked up in prison, you’re already doing better than your dad. I’m not going to worry about you being an absentee dad. What I am going to worry about is you not letting me hold the baby once she’s born, you’re going to hog her.”
Eddie grins ear to ear before kissing her belly. “Yeah I’ll make sure she’s a total daddy’s girl. You don’t have a chance.” He laughs.
“We’ll just have to try for a little boy so he can be a momma’s boy.”
“And what’s going to happen if I only know how to make girls? We’ll just have a house full of girls.”
She giggles at the horrified face he makes. “One of them has to like me more than you.” She jokes.
“No, see, I already know this one is going to be wrapped around my finger. I can’t even tell you no, what makes you think I’m going to tell someone that is half of me, no?”
“Oh, so I’m going to be the bad guy?” She laughs, her belly bouncing.
Eddie chuckles, “Yup. You’re going to be the hard ass. I’ll be the one to save them and take them out for ice cream after. Sorry babe.” He says with a bright smile on his face.
“Can I ask you for a favor?”
“Anything.”
“Can we go get ice cream?” She asks in a sweet voice, knowing he couldn’t say no to her in that tone. “The baby wants it.”
Eddie chuckles, rubbing the sides of her belly. “Well if the baby wants it, who am I to tell her no? Let’s go, you two.”
WIP Wednesday
Doing this early because it's -3 degrees out and I literally said "oh that's the warmest morning this week!"
This is from the upcoming chapter in my TK's growing up years fic - 💝
2010 -
“You hear that?” Sophie asked. “I think someone’s at the door”. TK sat up on his bed. He heard it; someone was knocking at the door. “You think it’s Mom?” Sophie asked.
“She usually uses the intercom,” TK said, shaking his head. He looked at the clock on his nightstand. It was just a little after eight thirty. “Plus, Dad said she’d be here at nine. She’ll probably be early, but… not this early”.
“She has to lecture both kids,” his sister pointed out. “She might want to be early for that”.
“True,” TK nodded. He rolled off the bed and poked his head out. The bathroom door was closed; his dad was still in the shower. “I’ll check the door,” he told his sister.
“Dad said to stay in our room until Mom gets here,” Sophie reminded him.
“Well, he should have thought of that before he went to shower,” TK called back. Plus, he thought to himself, after last night, he couldn’t imagine he could possibly get in more trouble from just answering the door.
At least, not until he saw who was at the door.
“Hunter!” TK exclaimed. He glanced behind him quick; bathroom door was still closed. He turned back and said without thinking, “Am I dreaming?” To check, he reached out and took Hunter’s hand. Even though he had last seen Hunter nine hours ago, he had painted his nails since then.
“Yes, yes you are,” Hunter joked, his eyes twinkling. “I was dreaming that someone very cute on the seventh floor was stealing all of my hoodies and I had to invade your dream to get them back”.
TK looked down at his chest; he did still have Hunter’s Fall Out Boy hoodie on. “Well, that’s your own fault,” TK giggled. “You’ve been to way more concerts than I have”.
“Well, I’ve been telling you we should fix that,” Hunter smiled so TK could see the barbell in his tongue. “But,” Hunter said, interlocking his fingers with TK’s, “after I got back downstairs last night, I texted you. And then I did again when I got up. I wondered if your dad took your phone”.
“He did”. TK sighed. With how pissed his dad was last night, TK wouldn’t be surprised if his dad had put his phone down the garbage disposal.
“And I wanted to see you,” Hunter told him. TK blushed at that; he couldn’t help it. “And I knew your mom would be by early,” Hunter added. “And stopping by when you’re over there might be more… dangerous”.
“Yeah, it would be”. TK nodded. “Still,” he added, “coming up here is hardly safer after last night”. He smiled at his boyfriend. “You’re very brave”.
“Not the word I’d use, kiddo,” a sharp voice came from behind TK. TK turned and saw the bathroom door had opened and his dad was standing there, not looking too pleased.
“Hi, Dad!” TK said brightly. He dropped Hunter’s hand.  “Hunter was just—”
“Leaving?” Owen finished, taking a step closer. “Cause that’s really the only thing Hunter should be doing. And TK should be going back to his room".
“Dad,” TK said, “can we talk for just a minute? Please?” He rocked back and forth on his heels.
Owen sighed. “Okay. One minute”. He leaned back against the kitchen table, crossing his arms.
“Are you… going to stand there the whole time?” TK asked, even though he knew the answer.
“Yep”. His dad nodded. “You’ve got fifty four seconds now, by the way”. As TK turned back around, Hunter reached for his hand again. Now TK felt pressure to come up with something really good to say.
“Oh”. He thought of something. “I think my mom called your mom and left her a message about last night”.
“She did,” Owen said from behind TK.
“Did she say anything to you?” TK asked.
“She’s not up yet”. Hunter shook his head. “So we’ll see. She should be cool about it, though”.
Behind him, TK heard his dad muttering, “Well, teenagers unsupervised with drugs, who wouldn’t be cool about that?”
“Dad,” TK whined. He looked back at Hunter. “Thank you for coming up here,” he said. “I know we probably won’t be able to hang out for a bit, and—”
“The words ‘probably’ and ‘a bit’ really don’t belong in that sentence, bud,” Owen interjected, putting a hand on TK’s shoulder. “Time’s up”. He looked tiredly at his son’s boyfriend. “Hunter, I can’t make you go home, but I’m only going to ask you once to get the hell out of my doorway”.
Dad!” TK squeaked indignantly as Owen slowly pushed him back. He looked at Hunter one more time; he hadn’t moved. “I’m sorry, he—”
“It’s okay”. Hunter said. “We’ll talk. Hold on to my hoodie for me?”
Despite everything, TK, blushed. “Yeah. I can do that”.
The Biggest Mistake
Tumblr media
pairing: college students! Yuta Nakamoto x Y/N (feat Park Jisung and Na Jaemin) word count: 6.8k words genre: angst, smut, fluff summary: Yuta made the biggest mistake in his life.  warnings: early pregnancy, cursing, mentions of cheating, mentioned protected(?) sex, blood, pregnant woman kink(?), alcohol, cheating, kissing, boob fondling, masturbation, dub-con(?), mentioned morning sex, mentioned blowjob, unprotected sex (but not explicit)
taglist: skipping the taglist because I’m really not proud of this. 😭
a/n: I am not so proud of this work. This is way different than what birthday girl anon requested (sorry 😭) but when you explained the young dad! Yuta, this is the scenario that played in my head. I’m sorry if this is so overdue and this is so different. I honestly don’t know what is wrong with me. 😭 I don’t have any excuses and I’m ready to get hate over this fic. I’m sorry.
'Yuta, we need to talk.'  'Can you please meet me?'
'I have soccer practice.' 'Meet you at the café near school, 3 pm.'
Yuta immediately saw her the moment he stepped foot inside the coffee shop. She's unusually early today. He ordered coffee for both of them and proceeded to sit in front of her, putting down the tray of black coffees. "Did you go to class today? I haven't seen…" She pushed the cup of coffee away from her, biting her lip. "Why? You like this coffee."
He stopped then focused on her. Something is off. "Did you cry? You look pale. Are you sick?"
"Yuta," she called quietly. "I'm pregnant."
He stopped, looking so surprised at what she said. It’s a joke, isn’t it? “Stop joking, Y/N. It’s not even April.” The girl slipped a pregnancy test kit on top of the table. “What? How? We were careful. We did it safely.” He said in surprise, “I used a fucking condom.”
“I don’t know.”
“Do you know what this means? We’ll lose everything, Y/N. We’re just college students. This will ruin our dreams.” Yuta sighed. The national league. Going to Barcelona. He’ll lose everything. “Are you sure it’s mine?”
Her look at him was absolutely feral, Yuta was scared for a second. “Do you really think I’ll cheat on you?” She whispered, voice straining. Y/N bit her lip before continuing, “I told you first because I thought you’ll help me. I thought you were the one, it turns out you’re not.”
“Y/N, it’s not…”
“I’m sorry that I crushed your dream. You don’t have to think of that anymore,” she said while standing up, getting her things. Wait, what does she mean? “We’re done, Yuta.”
He called for her name but she was already out of the door. The people in the coffee shop were staring at him as he sat on the same seat, sighing hard. He reached for the pregnancy kit on the table that showed two bright red lines.
Fuck! What a mistake!
What should he do now?
—----
“Yo dude!” Yuta’s teammate called then tapped his back. “Did you break up with Y/N?”
Yuta whipped his head at the taller guy, surprised at the question. “She doesn’t attend classes anymore and the teacher even said that she dropped the subject.” He explained before shrugging. “It’s just unusual for her. She had always liked going to school.” She did. Does this mean she’s really keeping the child? “And you never mentioned anything so I’m just curious.”
Did they break up? After what happened in the coffee shop, he never received any message from her. He was scared to call her, not sure what to tell her. And when he did, she wasn't answering his calls.
Maybe it really is their end. Should he go to their house and check on her? What will he tell her? “Yuta hyung!” He turned to see Jisung, Y/N’s younger brother, walking his way. “Do you know where noona is?”
Huh? He shook his head. He hasn’t seen her since they broke up. “She left home and I thought you were together.”
“Left home?”
“Mom and dad wanted her out of the house after finding out that she’s pregnant.” He shared that surprised Yuta. So she really is pregnant? It isn’t a joke? “Hyung, do you have any idea where she is?” Yuta shook his head once again. She already dropped out and also left home. Where can she be? And if she’s pregnant, shouldn’t she be taking care of herself more?
It shouldn’t be his problem. It was her decision to keep the child, her decision to leave their home. Why is he so bothered? “Hey, honey, are you alright?” Yuta looked up to see his mom sitting on the chair beside him. “You can’t sleep?”
“Mom,” he called, breathing hard. “Do you remember Y/N?” The older woman nodded, gushing at how nice she was when she visited once. “Mom, she’s pregnant.” He didn’t attempt to look at her face. He’s already sure that there is disappointment on her face, “And I think I am the father of the child.”
A sigh can be heard from his mother before she tapped his back. “Did you talk to her parents?” Yuta shook his head. “I hope you did the right thing and became responsible for her.”
Yuta breathed hard. He never expected this reaction from his mother. “Yuta, you know very much how it would feel to grow up without a dad.” She was right. It is difficult, not only for him but for his mom as well. Why does he have to repeat the same mistake his bastard father did?
His phone rang. Her name appeared on the screen which startled him. When he picked up the phone, her groaning voice can be heard on the other line. “Yuta, help me.”
The blood in his body ran cold. She didn’t say anything and just told him the clinic where she was. Is she alright? She’s not hurt, isn’t she? The baby? Is the baby safe? Yuta stopped at the door of the clinic seeing her lying on the bed with blood on her legs. “What happened?” he asked the attending nurse who asked who he was. “I’m her boyfriend. What happened?”
“She was bleeding when she came here. We’re waiting for the OB to come.”
“She will be safe, right?” The nurse didn’t answer him. “The baby will be safe, right?” The doctor checking her just pursed her lips. “Please save her.”
It was such long agonizing hours for Yuta as he sat outside the clinic and wait for the OB to check on his girlfriend. His hand was still shaking while remembering the insane amount of blood on the bed. What should he do if the baby doesn’t survive? Surely, their lives would go back to the way they were. Will they come back to each other? Probably not. And he doesn’t want that.
The door opened and he was ushered by the nurse inside, saying that the patient wanted to see him. She looked so weak, so pale while lying on the bed. An IV was hooked on her arm as she stared at him. “Sorry I had to call you. I don’t have anyone to call.”
“I’m relieved you called me. What happened?”
“Dehydration.” The nurse answered, “And starving. She hasn’t eaten anything today.”
“Is our baby alright?” Yuta saw how Y/N looked at him in surprise. The nurse smiled, saying that the baby is safe but the OB suggested having appointments with her so she can check the prenatal health of the baby. “That’s a relief.”
When the nurse left, the atmosphere felt awkward. Y/N is too weak to talk and Yuta doesn’t know what to say. “I’m planning to abort the baby.” She announced, making the guy look at her in shock. “You were right. This baby will just ruin our lives. I don’t want you to ruin your dreams because of the baby.”
“No, don’t. Let’s keep the baby, Y/N.” Yuta revolted.
Once allowed to leave, Yuta brought her to his home and even apologized to his mom for the trouble. She only smiled at her son before hugging the younger girl, “I’ll prepare your room, Y/N.”
—--
Every day is still the same for Yuta: he would go to school in the morning, have soccer practice in the afternoon then hang out with his friends until evening. Nothing changed except for the fact that his girlfriend lives with them in his house now. "You cook this for breakfast? What time did you wake up?" his mom asked one morning, seeing the eggs and bacon on the table.
The younger girl would just smile timidly. "I can't sleep."
His mom would only look at her in worry. "Do you want to go to the doctor tomorrow? You don't have classes tomorrow, right Yuta?"
Ever since he found out that she's pregnant, it has been awkward with her. He didn’t know how to approach her and when he did, he will always be reminded of the things he said to her. It also didn’t help that in his eyes, she changed a lot. It was like she matured all of a sudden in front of his eyes. Like she’s not his girlfriend anymore, but an entirely different person. Maybe because she is pregnant.
It feels awkward being in the clinic. All eyes were on them as they sat beside each other. They must have thought that they were too young. And they are. But it’s already here, they cannot undo this mistake. “Ms. Y/N,” the nurse called and she smiled while standing up, greeting the nurse. “You’re starting to show.”
Yuta unconsciously glanced at her stomach. She’s not. If he’s not her boyfriend, he’ll assume that she isn’t pregnant. The doctor smiled at him when their eyes met and he recognized her as the doctor from when Y/N was brought to a clinic. “I’m glad your boyfriend is here to come with you,” she claimed while nodding in approval. “I hope you can come with her to the upcoming appointments.” He sighed. Why does he felt suddenly called out?
What the nurse said to Y/N during their hospital visit was repeated to Yuta when he woke up one morning. She is showing. Her stomach was slowly forming a bump and she is putting on some weight, particularly on her breasts and butt. Are pregnant women always this hot?
His mind is always clouded with thoughts of her. Her soft skin on his fingertips and his mouth sucking on her full breasts. It became so bad that he cannot focus on soccer practice without thinking of his hands fondling her breasts. When he came home early, he found her in the kitchen wearing his oversized jersey shirt. The hem stopped midthigh and the bump of her stomach is easily seen. “Oh, you’re home.” She said in surprise, “Some of my clothes don’t fit me anymore so I have to borrow…”
Y/N was cut mid-sentence when Yuta kissed her, wrapping his arms around her waist. She returned the kiss and moaned when she felt his hand rest on her breast. “Fuck, I need you.” Yuta whispered while carrying her to the top of the counter. His kisses were fervent against hers, his hand grazing along her exposed thigh and heading north to her underwear. “I need you.”
He started unbuttoning his pants, unzipping them quickly as he pulled her closer just as the door can be heard followed by, “Y/N?” Quickly, the mentioned girl went down of the counter and lightly pushed Yuta as he turned around, away from the kitchen door where his mom was coming in. Fuck the timing! “Oh, you’re early Yuta.”
He awkwardly laughed, “Practice ended early.” Yuta answered in a monotone before excusing himself to go upstairs. God damn it! He needed to pleasure himself once again.
Yuta woke up in the dead of the night, parched. While heading up, he saw how Y/N’s door was opened ajar. The small light from the bedside illuminated her features, her calm sleeping face, and her bulging belly. She looked really beautiful. His gaze fell on her breasts and realized that they are indeed getting bigger. Is it because of pregnancy? It’s calling him in. His hands had a mind of their own and wanted to touch them.
Her breasts feel so firm to squeeze, different from when he took her virginity. It must really be the pregnancy. He put down his sweatpants and boxers, jerking his hardening cock with his other hand. His fingers grazed on her nipple, moans escaping his lips.
Her eyes opened and Yuta was too drunk with the pleasure that he didn't stop and just motioned her to be quiet. “Please, Y/N, I need you.”
The girl was moaning quietly as he kept on thrusting inside her. The release he had been waiting for for for days. Different than when they first had sex, she feels tighter or maybe he was just so turned on. Additional was the fact that they had to remain quiet or his mom might catch them in the act. It feels good and Yuta was sure that this wouldn’t be the last time they’ll be doing it. While she was lightly snoring, his hand fondled her breasts as his semi-hard cock was between her legs. When she woke up that morning, he had to ask her for morning sex which she agreed on.
They should move out to have the privacy they need.
With the small amount that he saved from his part-time job, Yuta managed to move with Y/N to a small one-room apartment unit. It’s a rent-to-own so he’s sure that it will go to them when the time comes. Besides, his mom wanted him to be responsible for his child and the mother of his child. But the main reason for this all is the privacy and freedom that they’ll have with Y/N.
A wrong move since it’s been a week since they moved yet Y/N would always reject him sexually. She would always reason out that she was tired or not in the mood. He understood her, it must be the pregnancy hormones. But he also has needs of his own.
Needs that he had fulfilled with the help of a cheerleader who he met while drinking with his friends once. She had some amazing hips and huge breasts, a warm mouth, and excellent skills in giving head. Something that he would always look for each night. He would always go home drunk and reasoning out that it was needed for his job. Y/N would never say anything and that it’s alright. So alright that there were nights where he wouldn’t even come home.
-------
Yuta opened the door to hear Y/N giggling. He was startled to see a young man in front of her, drinking coffee. “This is Jaemin,” she introduced. “He lives next door. He’s a freshman.”
A freshman? What is a guy doing in their place? “I’ll go now, noona.” The younger claimed then casually rubbed her stomach, “Bye baby.” He walked out the door after greeting him with a smile that pissed Yuta off. What was that?
“What is he doing here?” Yuta asked as Y/N started taking the cups into the sink.
“I asked for help with installing the lights.” She said casually that made Yuta look at the lights in the kitchen. “Why didn’t you wait for me?”
She smiled in his way, “I have been telling you since last week but you might be busy.” Y/N said calmly, “And Jaemin volunteered to help me." Yuta glared. Does she really have to ask for help from another man? And is that guy not doing anything in his life that he had to be friends with a pregnant woman? "Are you mad?"
Yuta didn’t answer as he walked out the door, slamming it shut. ‘Meet me at Sky motel.’ He quickly messaged the cheerleader as he exited the apartment building. How dare she let a man enter their home? The home he has to pay the rent for. And she’s fucking pregnant, for crying out loud. Why is that guy so attracted to an older, pregnant woman? Is it some teenager kink?
Those were the thoughts in his mind while tugging on the cheerleader’s hair as she blew him off. “Why are you so rough today?” She asked while removing her pants and then sat on his lap to ride him. “I love it.” He started slapping her ass as her moans echoed in the motel room. She alternated between grinding and riding his cock which made Yuta scream his head off. This is the amazing sex he deserved.
There were days that he didn't come home at all, sometimes he would go home late at night and leave early in the morning. Anything just to avoid the responsibility. The money he received from his part-time job is spent on alcohol and partying. “The rent is due. The landlady is asking for the payment.” Y/N said one morning but Yuta just glared, “I’m doing my best, Y/N.” Then he left, without a word, once again.
Yuta was drinking in the club with his cheerleader fuck buddy, kissing as she grind on his thigh when a larger man came and started punching him in the face. The girl looked surprised before stopping the larger guy, “You’re fucking this guy behind my back?” He asked that startled Yuta. What? She has a boyfriend? He stood up but was punched once again by the other guy, warning him to stay away from his girlfriend.
All eyes were on him but what was surprising is the young guy, wearing the waiter’s uniform, staring at him. Jaemin.
The younger guy gave him an ice pack and he thanked him quietly. “Don’t tell Y/N.”
Jaemin snickered, “As if noona doesn’t know.” Yuta stared at him in surprise. “You go home drunk and smelling like a woman’s cologne. Your clothes have lipstick marks on them and you moan another woman’s name in your sleep.”
“Y/N tells you that?”
“No,” he answered quietly. “But the apartment walls are thin and I can hear her crying every night.” Y/N knows? And she’s been crying every night? “When you go home at night, and I’m assuming that you were sleeping, she would always cry while apologizing that she ruined your life. That you have dreams that are ruined because of the baby inside her.”
“But her dreams were also ruined. She just wanted to graduate from university with her friends and make her parents proud of her.” Yuta knows. She had always been the perfect daughter like that. “And she lost all that because of the baby inside her.”
Jaemin breathed heavily before continuing, “Both of you would always blame the baby even if it isn’t born yet when clearly it’s both your fault.” He claimed then smiled bitterly, “Can’t you just save the baby some blame? It isn’t good for him to grow up in a household where his parents think that he’s just a mistake and he ruined their life.” Is he really younger? How can he think like that? “I don’t want him to be like me.” He stood up then smiled at Yuta, “Go home to her. She’s probably cooking dinner for you now.”
He was right. Why put the blame on a baby that they made? It’s not only his dream that is ruined - or put on hold - but hers. Yet here he is, being a jerk about it.
The moment he stepped foot inside their home, he can smell crab meat and fried rice. Y/N looked surprised when she saw him standing in the kitchen then looked worried when she saw his face, “What happened to you?”
“Just a bad day at work. A customer punched me.” Yuta said in monotone but she only held her chin, looking at the damage. “Don’t worry, I’m fine.”
But she shook her head and asked him to wait for her on the couch. She returned with a first aid kit, shaking her head. “Why your face? Why would they hurt your handsome face?” He smiled, “I hope this will lessen the swelling, I don’t want your pretty face hurt.” Now that she’s closer, he noticed how she got thinner. Her eyes were blank and with eyebags, her cheeks hallowed as her lips were chapped. She looked so tired. Her hair was in a messy bun and there are cut and burn marks on her fingers. “Did you eat? I made crab meat fried rice.”
Does she always make food for dinner even if he doesn’t go home? To think about it, Yuta would always wake up with breakfast cooked. Even if he had drunk hard that night, his clothes were magically changed as if someone had taken care of him. It’s only her.
He might be underestimating her. He really did take her for granted. “Y/N, I’m sorry.” She looked confused especially when he kneeled in front of her, holding both her hands. “I’m sorry.” The tears escaped from his eyes. He had been a jerk all along. His girlfriend is here at home, bearing his child alone and he decided to party each night. He even dared to cheat on her. “Y/N, forgive me.” He begged, whispering while grasping her hand. “Please don’t leave me.”
Her fingers thread on his hair, “I won’t leave you, Yuta.”
That night, Yuta lay on the bed with Y/N. His hand was rubbing her stomach, whispering wishes for the baby to come out well and not give his or her mommy pain. “I’m taking ultrasound to know the gender of the baby next week. Your mom said she’ll come with me. Do you want to come with us?” Yuta’s eyes sparkled as he grinned while nodding at her. He would love to come with her.
—-----
Yuta held his girlfriend's hand, repeatedly asking if she was hurt or uncomfortable. The doctor only smiled as she prepped Y/N with the ultrasound. His mom only watched, obviously surprised at how he changed. "I'm fine," she answered just as the cold object touched her stomach.
Black and white images can be seen on the screen as they slowly formed an image of a baby. Yuta was bewildered, there was really a person inside her. "This is the head," the doctor then pointed at the white circle on the screen. "There are two legs, two arms. The baby is healthy." Y/N smiled. A pretty smile that made him repeat the same expression as his. Is she always this happy, this pretty, with every check-up? He should have come with her earlier.
"And the baby is a boy." The smile on her face grew wider.
A boy. They're having a baby boy. The baby needed him more now. His girlfriend needed him the most. "Hi baby boy," he greeted, staring at her stomach. "Please be good to your mommy." Y/N smiled the same way as she did when seeing the child in her stomach.
A smile Yuta promised he would protect.
—--------
“What are we doing here?” Y/N asked looking at the huge gates of her parent’s house. This is his first step in being responsible for her and their child. He needed to talk to her parents. “Yuta, don’t please.”
But Yuta only held her shaking hand, tight. “We’ll just see them. I know you miss them.” But she only gave him a worried stare as he pushed the doorbell of their house.
The shakiness of her hand can be felt and Yuta hated himself for doing this to her. She shouldn't be afraid of facing her family, they’re the only ones left for her, yet here she is almost hiding behind him when the maid opened the gate. “Ms. Y/N.” she greeted then opened the gate wide for them. “Jisung will be happy to see you.”
“Is he home?” The maid nodded then gushed at her growing stomach making Yuta smile. “Are they home?” The older woman looked at both Yuta and Y/N before nodding. She guided them inside but Y/N just held Yuta’s hand, “Yuta, I think this is a bad idea.”
This was the first time Yuta had come to their house. The rumors are true. His girlfriend is rich. It must be the reason why her parents want her out when she got pregnant. “Noona!” Jisung called running from the stairs down to their living room and quickly hugging his older sister. Quickly, he removed his arms around her as he glanced at her stomach. “Am I crushing the baby when I hug you?”
Y/N shook her head before opening her arms wide for him. Yuta noticed how her eyes shimmer while hugging her brother, the wide smile appearing on her lips. She might have missed her only brother. It was still a good idea to bring her here. “Mom!” Jisung called seeing the older woman on top of the stairs, “Noona is here.”
She looked so different from Y/N. A typical classy woman and Yuta can’t help but shudder while watching her walk down the stairs. “Why are you here? I asked you to leave.” Her voice sounded so stern, without any sign of motherly care. “Are you here for money?”
“No, we’re not.” Yuta started then introduced himself politely. “I’m here to ask permission if I can…”
“Ask permission?” He flinched at her rising voice. “She’s not our daughter anymore.” Jisung had to call ‘mom’ as if frustrated with what is happening, “Just leave, the two of you.” Maybe going back is indeed a bad idea.
To his surprise, Y/N kneeled down in front of her mom. "Mom, I'm sorry I failed you as a daughter. I'm sorry I never became the person you wanted me to be. You have high dreams for me but those are your dreams and not mine." She said in a soft voice, "I don't want to be a doctor like dad. I want to teach children."
"And I'll stand by my decision to keep this baby," she announced before touching her bulging stomach. "I might fail you as a daughter but I won't fail as a mother." The way she said those words tugged Yuta's heart. She really loves their child.
Yuta kneeled beside her. "I promise you that I will take care of Y/N and our child." He exclaimed before staring at the older woman towering over the two of them. “But please let our child have his uncle…” he lightly glanced at Jisung then back at her mom. “And his grandparents.”
“Leave!” The older woman shouted, “I won’t allow that child anywhere near me, my husband, or even Jisung.”
“Mom!” Jisung called but his sister already stood up and breathed heavily, “Noona.”
She smiled timidly, “Yuta, let’s go.” He stood up then bowed at the older woman before leaving the huge house. Her steps were huge as if wanting to leave quickly, her back showing that she was taking heavy breaths.
“Sorry,” he whispered. “I shouldn’t have…”
“Can we go to the hospital now?” Yuta stared at her in confusion before running next to her. She was holding her stomach, blowing heavy breaths that surprised him. “I think I’m giving birth.”
Her hand was shaking, her face showing pain as her forehead filled with sweat. He kept on asking what she was feeling in the cab but she wouldn’t say anything and just kept on breathing heavily. Once in the hospital, he rushed to get Y/N some medical assistance but she refused to be inside the room with him. “Will you be alright though?” he asked and she nodded, even if he feels nervous at her decision. “I’ll be waiting here for you if you need anything.”
It was long agonizing minutes without knowing what is happening inside. His mom came after her shift from work and scolded him for not staying inside with her. Jisung came in a hurry after his call, sweating while asking how his sister is. Yuta doesn’t know. He didn’t know anything. All he can do is wait. Like them.
The delivery is normal and successful. When a baby's cry can be heard from inside the delivery room, Yuta breathed hard in relief. She did it. She’s a mother now. They’re parents now. He’s a father now. But he hoped that he was inside with her and checking her. So while his mom and her brother gush at the baby, he made sure to approach her first. “How are you feeling?”
“I’m fine. Is he complete?”
Yuta nodded, “He looks like you.” He brushed the strand of hair sticking on her sweaty forehead before kissing the top of her head. “You did well.” She gave a timid smile, “Now, let me take care of you and our son.”
—-----
Having a son at a young age is life-changing. Although Yuta had to still go to school in the morning, he makes sure that he goes home early to spend time with his son. He had always thought of dropping out like what Y/N did but he wanted to finish the degree and find a decent job, not the part-time jobs he would have, to provide for his family.
While he tried his best to survive college, Y/N is pretty much left at home and taking care of their baby. Jisung would always visit his sister and Jaemin would make sure to check on her from time to time as per Yuta’s request.
He never missed special milestones: when he first turned around, when he crawled. Yuta would always buy him things whenever he had extra money from his part-time jobs. And even if he’s tired from all the things he would be doing: studying, soccer, and working, he would make sure to spend his night playing with his son. He would read him books or sing him to sleep as he let Y/N rest on her own.
One time, while he’s in class, he received a call from Y/N. It was unusual. She knew his schedule so she never calls whenever he was in class. Discreetly, he picked up and was startled at her excited tone. “Jun said ‘dada’.”
“What?” he asked quietly.
There was a shift in background noise before he heard an excited “dada”. Their son called for him, “Dada!” he repeated, making Yuta choke on a sob. “Dada!”
“Yes, love, dada is here.”
“Dada!”
“Mr. Nakamoto,” the professor called and Yuta turned to him, startled that everyone is looking at him. “Do you mind sharing to us the phone call?”
Yuta grinned then stood up, “Sorry but my son is calling for me.” he claimed then immediately fixed his things inside his bag, slinging it on his shoulder and walking away from class. He needed to go home early and celebrate this important milestone with his family.
—------
The baby was almost a year old when he brought them out to shop and bumped into the same cheerleader he once had an affair with. Her look at him was still the same, even lightly flirting and saying that he had broken up with her boyfriend, in front of Y/N and their son. “I haven’t introduced to you my girlfriend and our son,” he answered that made the other girl’s jaw fall to the ground. “You were a mistake. I won’t do it again.” He wrapped his arms around Y/N before walking away from the still surprised girl.
“Sorry,” Yuta whispered once they were alone. “I’m sorry, I made the mistake of having an affair with her and I’ll always regret that. I’m sorry, Y/N.”
She smiled then shook her head, “I already forgave you for that.”
Yuta realized how kindhearted she is. During the first few months that they were dating, he already noticed how soft-spoken she is even if she came from an affluent family. While watching her be pregnant with their son, he saw how compassionate she is. And now that they have their little angel, Yuta can’t help but fall deeply for her. How is he so stupid to cheat on her? How is he so lucky to be given a second chance by her?
He knew she is the person he want to protect with all his life. The person he wants to be with all his life. But it’s too early. He wanted her to achieve her dreams first before keeping her by her side.
After the baby reached the second year, Y/N suggested that she should work to lessen his stress in providing for them but he refused. Their child needs her for now. “It’s fine,” Yuta would always say, “I’ll save a lot. After I graduate and find a decent job, you can go back to university and earn your teaching degree.”
And that is his motivation to keep on going.
—-------
Yuta laughed as he watched the three-year-old Jun jump on the puddle, wearing his boots and raincoat. “Jun, mommy is going to be mad if you get wet.” But the younger boy just shouted ‘puddle’ before jumping to another one. He had a day off from work and decided to surprise his girlfriend by picking her up at university.
The two were walking in the rain to Y/N’s school. The younger pointing at the colorful flowers and mentioned the colors in his three-year-old voice. Yuta would just laugh while correcting him then pointing at another flower and asking about its color.
When the students started coming out of the gates, Jun was quick to shout ‘mommy’ that made Y/N smile widely while running to him. She quickly hugged the boy even if it meant getting wet from the rain. “What are you doing here?” she asked then smiled at Yuta who placed the umbrella above her head. Jun said ‘surprise’ that made her giggle, “Is it your day off?”
Yuta nodded. “The weather is so bad that the on-site visitation is canceled.” He took her backpack and wore it on his shoulder, pulling her closer to put the two of them under the umbrella. “You didn’t bring an umbrella?” She shook her head, carrying Jun in her arms. “Lucky we picked you up or you might get sick.” But she only smiled, “How was class?”
“It’s tiring!” she complained that made him giggle. She started sharing things about what happened in her class but Yuta’s mind was drifting to something else: her voice, her smiles, the way she giggles. He wanted to protect her. The mother of his child. He wanted every day to be like this. For the rest of his life.
“Y/N, I love you.”
She smiled, looking so confused. “Did you do something wrong?”
Yuta shook his head, “I just wanted to tell those words to you. I feel like I haven’t said it to you.”
A giggle escaped her lips, “You did.” She claimed, “Well, not the words. But when I was in the clinic and you asked if they can save me and the baby, I realized that you love me and Jun.” The younger boy giggled. “When you came back, even if you have the choice to just leave me. And when you kept on apologizing for it.” she continued.
“Providing for me and Jun, that’s love Yuta. And I love you, too.”
“Sorry if I haven’t asked you for marriage yet. I haven’t saved enough yet.” He confessed, rubbing the back of his head. “But I wanted to be with you for the rest of my life.”
Y/N leaned her head on Yuta’s shoulder, “I would like that too.”
—------
The graduation march resonated through the whole auditorium, with students wearing their black robes in line as they waited for their diplomas to be handed to them. When Y/N was called, Jun shouted ‘mommy’ which made Yuta laugh. She waved at the younger boy seated on his father’s shoulder, waving the diploma she received.
Yuta smiled. Her smile is back. The lovely smile which made him fall for her. The smile she had when she saw Jun in the ultrasound. The smile she had the first time their son called her ‘mama’.
And he’s more than proud of her. The dreams that were on hold when she had Jun were finally coming true.
“Mommy!” The five-year-old kid called, running to his mom who just finished taking pictures with her friends. He handed the bouquet of flowers to her, saying that they got it for her. “You are so pretty.”
Y/N giggled, crouched down to be on eye level with the child. “You saw me earlier,” she claimed before handing the younger boy his diploma. “This is for you. Mommy will work hard and give you everything you need and want, Jun.”
“You’re everything I need and want, mommy.” He said that made her eyes shimmer in tears. “You and daddy.”
Y/N wrapped her arms around the younger’s body. One hand resting on his back, the other on the back of his head. “And you’re the best thing that happened in my life, Jun.”
“Are you crying?”
“I’m not.” And Yuta chuckled while watching her hastily wipe the tears welling in her eyes. He helped her stand up when Jisung called her attention and quickly hugged her. “What are you doing here?” She asked in surprise.
“Hyung called me,” he answered and they both stared at Yuta. “Congratulations, noona!” She thanked him but the tears that she was holding on to fell when Jisung handed her a box. “Dad wants to give this to you.” Yuta only knew that it was a necklace but because of her reaction, it might be a special necklace for her. The younger hugged the crying girl and whispered things to her that only made her cry some more.
Should he do something? But it was hers and Jisung’s moment. He doesn't want to meddle with them. Yet it was Jun who immediately held his mom’s dress, asking her why she was crying. Jisung apologized and Y/N only smiled, wiping her tears. “I’ll treat you to ice cream outside.” Her younger brother claimed and held Jun’s hand, walking away from the two.
“Are you alright?” Yuta asked, getting the bouquet from her and handing her a handkerchief. She nodded but he opened his arms wide and she immediately ran to his arms. "You did well," he whispered.
"Dad wanted to come but mom was so embarrassed so they didn't go," Y/N whispered, startling him. "And Jisung said they wanted to meet Jun." Yuta gasped. They did? After not caring for her and their grandchild? But they are still her parents and even if it's been years since she last talked to them, Yuta knew how much she cared about them.
Every time Jisung would visit their small apartment, he would share things about their parents and she would always be worried about them at night. Even if she's the mother of his child, she's still their daughter first. "Let's visit them tomorrow." Y/N nodded while Yuta rubbed her back to calm her down.
"Thank you, Yuta." she whispered, "For letting me go back to school and supporting me with what I wanted to do."
"I promised you that I'll be better for you and Jun," he said with a smile then cupped her cheeks. "Thank you for not giving up on me even if I made a huge mistake…" She hushed him up while claiming that it was already in the past. "And since you already wore your academic gown," he started before glancing around. From the corner of his eye, he saw Jisung and Jun coming back with ice creams on hand. "I think it's time for you to wear your wedding gown."
Yuta took something from his pocket before kneeling in front of Y/N. "This is years late but I want to spend the rest of my years with you." The tears welling in her eyes were back as she covered her mouth in surprise. "Y/N, I'm not perfect. But I will protect you, your smile, and your dreams as long as I live. Just be mine."
“Y/N, will you marry me?”
Her response was immediate, nodding while shouting yes. His heart pounded so loud in his chest as he saw the crowd looking at them, Jisung looking surprised and Jun wide-eyed at what is happening. She cried once again in his arms, lightly slapping him for making this surprise and making her cry after she already calmed down.
“Family cuddles!” Jun shouted, reaching out for the two of them. The crowd, and Jisung, clapped at the scenario.
And as his son and soon-to-be-wife were wrapped in his arms, Yuta realized that it is a mistake to get his girlfriend pregnant early. A mistake accusing her of cheating when she’s the most soft-spoken person he met in his entire life. A mistake cheating on her when she only cared about him. It is a mistake not to ask her for marriage early on.
But the biggest mistake he ever committed is thinking that he will live without the two of them.
A mistake he knew will never happen in the future.
Because of all the wrong things that happened in his life, it was Y/N and Jun who would always remain right.
next chapter
title is from Everything Moves by Bronze Radio Return
this is set in my interpretation of vat7k, probably about 3/4 of the way through the plot. things you need to know for this to make sense: (this list will be continued in the end notes due to a slight spoiler warning)
ulla is varian’s mom, but he never knew her because she was trapped in thaymes, this world’s purgatory (something further, more ancient than the lost realm)
she left varian a key which used to contain a lost alchemical component, but ulla took it out before she gave it to varian
ulla is now the main villain of the plot
varian gave hugo the key (on a necklace) right after learning that his mom was the villain, which in plot time was a few days ago (ill write a scene for this sometime but it doesn’t currently exist so)
varian has canon compliant trust issues (and also trauma) :)
Varian smiled, but the conflict in his eyes told another story of what he was feeling. The joke Yong just told had been funny, but his laugh was forced, and Hugo could tell. So, when Varian quietly excused himself from the table, Hugo followed him without hesitation.
Varian curled his knees up to his chest and buried his face in his arms, not crying, but close. He didn’t quite know what he was actually feeling—there were too many different emotions in his head to categorize them all into one box—so he simply sat there, silently thinking.
“Hey,” Hugo’s voice was soft, but it still startled him.
“Oh-“ He looked up to see Hugo, and relaxed. “It’s you.”
Hugo sat down next to Varian, just a few inches away. “What’s going on?” Hugo asked.
“My mom.” Varian responded, rather bluntly. He dropped his head back into his arms.
“That’s fair. I can only imagine how much that would hurt—finally meeting your mom only to end up fighti-“ He stopped himself. “Sorry. What I’m trying to say is that this is a reasonable reaction to have. Not wanting to fight your mom isn’t something to feel bad about.”
Varian hesitated. “Yeah.”
Hugo’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. “…That’s not what this is about, is it?” “Not really,” Varian sighed.
“I see.” Hugo racked his mind for any other possible causes of Varian’s stress. He thought back to the encounter they had with Ulla just a few days ago. It made sense for him to be upset about having to fight his mom—even if he didn’t really know her, they were still family, and—oh. He turned to look at him. “Varian, you aren’t like her.”
“But what if I am?”
“You’re-“
“Hugo, think about it.” Varian’s voice sounded a bit crazed, almost desperate, and his breathing was heavy. “We’re both using alchemy for our own, selfish purposes, and we’re both hurting people with it.” His voice broke into a sob. “I’m just gonna turn back into a villain, and I’m going to hurt people. Again.”
“Stop saying that you are using alchemy selfishly, because you’re not.” Hugo’s voice was tender and gentle, a pleasant contrast to the panic in Varian’s voice.
“You’re wrong.”
“No, I’m not. You used it to try and help your dad, and that’s not selfish.”
“Yes, it is. I put other people in danger for my own personal gain.”
“No, you were helping your father.”
“But I wouldn’t have had to help him if I hadn’t messed up in the first place.” His eyes filled up with tears.
“Hey—you made a mistake and tried to fix it, okay? There’s nothing wrong with that. Granted, you might have gone a bit overboard with it-“
“I committed treason, Hugo. Multiple times!”
“Yeah,” Hugo shrugged. “Maybe you did, but it was for a good reason.”
“A good reason?” Varian’s voice cracked. “Tell that to all the people I almost killed!”
“You didn’t kill anyone.”
“I almost did.”
Hugo took a deep breath, then grabbed Varian’s shoulders and looked straight into his eyes. “You are not like her.” He repeated.
Varian’s cheeks were covered in tear streaks. “Yes, I am.”
“No. You are your own person, with your own free will. Sure, you’ve made mistakes, but everyone does.”
“Most people don’t commit treason,” Varian muttered.
“Shush. Varian, you are such an amazing, talented, smart, kind, considerate, beautiful person, and you and your mother are not the same.” He pulled him into a hug, letting Varian bury his face in his shoulder. “You’re not like her.”
Hugo held Varian as he cried into his shoulder, still talking even though Varian gave no response.
“Our parents’ actions, their mistakes, don’t define us. Our mistakes don’t define us. All that matters is if you’re willing to accept the blame and work to fix things, like you did.”
Slowly, Varian started to stop shaking as he melted into Hugo’s embrace, eyes closed, letting Hugo’s words fill his head.
“Thank you,” Varian muttered.
Hugo pulled him tighter. “You’re not the same. Just because she’s your mom doesn’t mean that you’re the same—heck, Donella and I are barely alike.”
Varian froze, his ragged, shaky breathing completely gone for a few seconds. “Donella?”
Hugo paused. “Oh.”
Varian pushed himself out of Hugo’s arms, moving back a bit. “Hugo, how do you know Donella?” “I, uh, don’t really, she just … happened to live near me, that’s all,” Hugo fumbled.
Varian said nothing, only stared at Hugo, his breathing getting heavier. He pushed himself off the ground, stood, and took a step away from Hugo.
Hugo stood up behind him. “Varian-“
“So when she said that stuff about there being a double agent, that was you? This whole time?” Varian spun around, his face was a mix of emotions, covered in dried tears and eyes filled with betrayal. “Hugo, you lied to me! You promised! I asked you if you were working for her—I didn’t want to, I wanted to believe you, to trust you, but I did anyway—and you lied to my face!”
“Varian, I’m sorry! I-“ Hugo sputtered. “I was going to tell you, but it had been so long—it didn’t seem important, I thought it wouldn’t matter-“
“You thought it wouldn’t matter? You thought that you lying to me, for months, wouldn’t matter?” Varian took a deep breath, and his face hardened. He stepped forward. “You promised me, Hugo. You promised you would tell the truth.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean-“
Varian reached up to the capsule hanging from a chain around Hugo’s neck, wrapped his hand around it, and pulled. The chain snapped under the pressure and the pendant came free. Varian looked down at it before he closed his fist around it and looked back up to Hugo.
“Don’t follow me.”
He turned his back and walked to the exit of the tavern, grabbing his coat and staff as he went and leaving Hugo standing there, speechless. Without looking back, Varian opened the door, stepped out, and let it swing closed behind him, leaving the sound of it slamming shut ringing in Hugo’s ears.
here’s the rest of the list:
hugo grew up with donella (who has been the general antagonist for half the plot) but they’re not blood related, hugo doesn’t know who his parents are
donella employed him to spy on varian and the rest of the gang, but he turned his back on her and stopped. (he neglected to tell varian any of this)
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO PREFACE THIS BY SAYING THAT THIS IS PURELY FOR NOSTALGIA PURPOSES. I DO NOT SUPPORT A LOT OF THE SHIT THAT JESSON HAVE DECIDED TO DO WITH THEIR CHARACTERS AND STORIES BECAUSE I LOOK BACK ON THEM AND I GO “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK THESE WERE ADULT HUMANS WITH FULLY DEVELOPED FRONTAL CORTEXES AND THEY THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA TO POST ON THE INTERNET?”
Childhood blinded me to how problematic some people can be.
It is the year 2023 and I am writing headcanons for a problematic ship in an old ass minecraft roleplay series
So
✨Aarmau HCs✨
Ok so to start out, I wanna address the UNCOMFY age gap. I think it should have been mitigated by making them about a year apart. “But Bunny, how do we handle the whole debacle of her not knowing Aaron is FC?” We drag it out in true slow-burn fashion. They meet when Aphmau is a freshman and Aaron is a sophomore (no more icky freshman-senior relationship because that is FRIGHTENING). So for 3 years they go about their lives kinda hating each other, but also kind of morphs into a “you’re not that bad, I just hate your stupid face (in an affectionate, platonic way (kind of)) and will tease you relentlessly because we’re both assholes” thing. Aph learns Aaron is FC yada yada yada BUT she’s in her JUNIOR YEAR by then.
Now the nature of their relationship. They’re not horrible with each other, but they’re definitely not super close or kind either. They have their gripes with each other and absolutely CANNOT stand each other at times. So when they find out that they have, in fact, been best friends online for the past several years, they both have a complete internal meltdown and panic. They’re idiots. They have no idea how to handle the situation. They’re awkward for like, a few months, but gradually build back their friendship, keeping a teensy bit of the snark they gave each other when they were “rivals” for the funny. But now that snarky, obnoxious behavior is ACTUALLY just a joke and they’re super close. Think of it like sibling banter.
Aph ends up developing a crush on him, but he can’t reciprocate her feelings(yes he can, he’s just scared bc he’s going off to college). Sylvanna still hATES him bc she thinks he’s trying to get with her daughter, but they just go to prom as friends. No kissing that night, nothing, just hanging out, being dumb, and ugly crying and hugging when Aphmau realizes he’s actually going away to college, and now that she only just realized her best friend was with her in person after 3 years, he’s being ripped away from her after only just getting to be his friend irl. They’re both distraught. They are ugly cryers.
They get reunited in college like they do in the og series, and that’s when Aaron realizes “oh fuck, I DO feel the same way, actually,” but doesn’t act on it because he thinks Aphmau has moved on by now. I’m not going to touch the bullshit that happened with Ein and Kai but for the sake of me being lazy and not having the energy to remove them from the story entirely, we’ll just say that all their bullshit happened Aphmau’s senior year and Aaron had to deal with them on breaks when he came back from college. None of this whole “you didn’t keep in touch with me for 3 years and now we’re reunited in college” bs. He cares about her enough as a friend to keep in touch, and finds sneaky ways to do so. He’ll send letters via snail mail after curfew and Agent R totally doesn’t notice (he’s cool like that; i will absolutely write more hcs on how Agent R is like Aaron’s adoptive dad). He’ll also use pay phones (loose change so it isn’t as traceable) around the campus/city to talk to her in real time So he absolutely knows that Aphmau is going to Falcon Claw University. Hell, he was the person she ranted to the most and panicked to over college applications. So when she got accepted to FCU she flips and calls Aaron to tell him before she even shows the letter to her mom (yet another reason why Sylvanna hates him lmao).
In college, they have a HEAVY slow-burn relationship development. They’re still not dating by the time they both graduate, but they’re also both kind of aware of the fact that they both like each other? They’re weird. Both of them are scared of fucking up their friendship. They eventually start dating around the time MyStreet takes place but uhh
This version is a lot less problematic
They catch feels for each other as ADULTS
AND THE AGE GAP IS NOT BORDERLINE PEDOPHELIA
BADA BING BADA BOOM
JESSICA I FIXED YOUR BIGGEST THING IN PHOENIX DROP HIGH
I need to write headcanons more, this was highly cathartic.
(Slight edit made because it was pointed out that I said something pretty tone-deaf that just didn’t make sense, so I fixed it).
u asked for it so i am HERE to tell u about the netflix tv show never have i ever......except im not going to explain Everything super concisely bc i already have a hard enough time trying 2 explain the complexities of devi vishwakumar when my brain is Actually working but rn i am running on three hours of sleep, an energy drink that partially sprayed out of my nose, and some sour punch straws but i am going to do my best to like. idk explain it. apologies in advance bc this got so long im SO sorry. ANYWAY. never have i ever. its about a first-generation indian american girl named devi and she is like. well. not cool. her n her friends are called the "UN" which they thought meant united nations bc they're all woc but no it means unfuckable nerds. and the person who coined the term unfuckable nerds? one ben gross, aka devi's longstanding academic rival. do u see where this is going yet? great. wonderful. devi spends most of season 1 chasing after this jock paxton (who. we do love. just not with devi.) and imploding all of her personal relationships in an attempt to Not Feel the grief of her father dying. at one point she even tells her mom that she wishes her mom died instead of her dad (ouch, but also, been there). atp devi's friends, the other members of the UN, are taking a "friend break" bc she was. well kind of a bitch. so she moves in w ben (rival) for like a week and then he drives her, unlicensed, to where her mom is spreading her dads ashes and then she goes back up to the car and they go "you stayed" "yeah i just wanrted to make sure you were okay" and then KISS. KISS!!!!!!! but then paxton (jock) also likes her so she dates BOTH of them and then implodes on her and they both break up with her. and then she accidentally spreads a rumor around the school about ben's new girlfriend having an eating disorder which ends up being true. and then paxton (jock) dates her again. and then they break up after like 3 months and ben's new girlfriend (aneesa) also breaks up w ben same day and then ben and devi are like. besties for a bit. devi dates a new guy des who honestly should probably be in a relationship with his own mom instead and then he dumps her bc of his mom and THEN. after all of this. ben jokingly gives devi a "one free boink" card. (was it really a joke ben was it i dont think so!!!!) and. at paxton's graduation he sort of mentions devi but not by name and the narrator (which, i should mention the narrator for devi's inner monologue is american tennis player john mcenroe) says she doesnt get stomach knots!!! but then she and ben share an like an intimate moment in the hall and mcenroe says "there's the stomach knots" like!!!!! and THEN later that night!!!!! she goes to ben's house!!!!!!1 and redeems the one free boink card CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!! and thats where season 3 ends....
season 4 comes out in THREE DAYS and weve gotten SOOOO many spoilers for the first two episodes which (if anyone who watches never have i ever is still reading this and doesnt want spoilers please sotp reading) we find out that ben and devi DID boink and that they both thought iut was like?? bad foir the other person??? and ben just didnt know what to say so he asked if she needed him to call an uber like ben WHAT. as rae @ice-sculptures put it "can you believe that ben gross not knowing what to say after fucking led to the whole spiral of miscommunication lmfao" like they just DONT TALK devi tries to ask if he wanted to get coffee and he says NO because a basketball player at the gym told ben that devi wasnt serious about him because she put a period in the text or somethjing?? so instead he goes and dates this girl from art class margot and devi sees ben with her on the first day of school and gets. well upset. and then someone spray paints "STUPID BITCH" on devi's car and of course she thinks its margot!!!! (but shhhh it wasnt....it was actually this kid ethan....more on him later) and then like other stff happens im not super clear about that but basically at some point ben tells devi that margot doesnt want ben talking to devi anymore :( i dont rlly know much else past that i think thats where s4e2 ends??? but we do know that devi ends up DATING that ethan kid at some point but. sooo many things point to ben/devi endgame esp bc her other main love interest (paxton, the jock) is now STAFF at their high school so like?? i dont think they're going that route but im just. dsjfkhjsad SO EXCITED except i cannot watch s4 the day it comes out bc i will be seeing waterparks which. im so excitred for but also WHYYY do they have to be on the same day
i feel like i didnt explain this very well and left out a lot of like pivotal ben/devi moments but im sitting here jus.t typing and not rereading any of this im. So sorry that this is as long as it is jkhsddfsd thank u for reading this and. if u didnt read it i dont blame u szdkjhdfsakd
WOW OKAY HOLY FUCK A LOT GOING ON THERE HUH????? HELLO.
Okay okay key notes:
I already like Devi and I haven't even watched the show.
WHAT THE FUCK IS BEN DOING HELLOOOO. WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIM DSFJJFD
by boink im assuming it means fuck right. cause like i've never euphemism in my life
THEY END S3 LIKE THAT ?? FWERLJW
oh LORD devi's complex relationship with her mom okay i hear it
bro the miscommunication sounds SOOO bad... like they cannot communicate properly even once huh 😭
devi ends up dating WHO now???? first the guy who gave them the name un and then the stupid bitch dude?? HELP....
IT COMES OUT IN 3 DAYS??? oh shit good luck??!!
