Finally watching 19 Dolls and Counting and I'm losing my mind here. The acting? The dialogue? The background music in some scenes? Literally the same level of seriousness as Aspen Heights and Realm of Arragara. Girl put her entire soul into making Aly... Like that.

About Last Week...
So I debated for a while whether or not I was going to actually make this post, but I feel like my disappointment and annoyance needed to be a little explained.
Yes, I realize it was supposed to be a Callen-heavy episode, and knowing that the topic needed to be resolved I was not against that.
The thing that upset me more about the episode is the way it was executed, mostly writing-wise. And to be honest, I don't even know anymore how much that is the fault of our writers, and how much their hands are actually tied with scheduling and the episode appearance limitations.
A lot of my thoughts are similar to the ones I had post-Down the Rabbit Hole. The first thing I learned in my TV writing class, is your main cast should always be at the forefront, don't use guest stars to do the job of your mains. (I am STILL angry at DTRH for how anti-climactic that entire multi-season arc ended cuz Joelle just shot Katya with zero tension when no one was around)
It feels like it was written a bit generically like they weren't sure which actors would be there for the episode. Like, change the sniping analysis to the aftermath of a bomb, and most all of Kensi's role in the ep could have been Sam. When they have done this, I feel we lose the voice that has made each character special to us over the years. (Granted, this has been an issue all season, not just this last episode)
Back to The Reckoning. I loved the scenes in the mission with Fatima and Kilbride and our awesome office team (I loved them, but why are our main peeps not saving the day?!), but even when our baddie was holding guns on them, there was a lack of tension in the situation. Too much talking/explaining versus actually making me worry something might go awry! I guess I just miss the higher-stakes episodes of seasons past?! 🤷‍♀️
And on the topic of too-much-explaining, which again, has been a bit of an issue all season, onto the last scene. I was not a fan of Pembrook explaining Hetty's actions as he's just this third party who we really have no reason to trust. Obviously, a better way to end this plotline would have been an actual conversation with Hetty, so since Linda has not been able/available, I understand they had to figure out another way to do it. But I feel like in this case, even a letter from Hetty would have been a better choice for explaining her own reasonings. Or, they could have had Callen open that "only open when I'm dead" packet from Season 3... I'm sure there's plenty of newer stuff added to it by now.
Basically, I'm just frustrated at the effect the reduced episode counts for actors has had on the show as a whole. I think I'd have rather had only 18 episodes with everyone vs what we've got. It also worries me GREATLY for network television going forward, because it seems like at least CBS seems to be pushing this model on a lot of other shows as well. And that's after we hopefully push through this writer's strike (and whatever happens with the next two negotiation sessions too (actors/directors also have contracts up this summer).
Sorry this got long, feel free to ignore it.

I think the music is really just a character on the show now. Like, next week, we’re going to see it running Ops. Every time it’s asked a question, DUN DUN. "Do we have any leads?" DUN DUN. "Did we find any new evidence?" DUN DUN. "Should we tell Castor to come in?" DUN DUN.
Oh, no one talked about Callen doing with Deeks what he did with Sam a couple eps ago. He’s not invalidating his feelings, he’s just trying to keep him from spiraling down and losing focus. #TeamLeaderStuff
Fatima calling for Callen! :( :( :(
Callen’s gun jammed after they were actually driving in real time? Wow, what. Day! But Sam got to wear a hat. And then there’s Deeks horrified. But I also couldn’t help but look at Callen’s and Sam’s faces when it first blew because they were thinking of Kensi and Fatima. And they were right there. And then they had to pull it together and keep going.
You take those guys out, ladies! YOU TAKE THEM OUT! They are Franz Ferdinand!
Densi having a moment and they’re not even trying to be alone. They just want to hug. So sweet. <3
Why are you wearing that coat tied even indoors, Admiral? If it were Hetty that he checked with, she would’ve popped out of the trenchant.
KENSI IS HUNGRY! All is well with the world. Hehehe. Deeks’ last line. Too cute. Love that Callen got to fourth wheel their reunion and now he gets to third wheel their celebratory dinner. Unless Rosa comes. Then he’s the fourth wheel again.
“I’ve spent a lot of time staring out at this water, searching for the answers…and by a lot of time I mean only in the last few seasons because it didn’t exist before then. But you know, you can be kind of reflective when staring at a green screen. It just…makes you think. Empties your mind. Much like the screen. And you can put whatever you want on it.” - Sam, as I heard him
And more discussing on things that are unfair in the world across cultures.
“Progress is neither swift nor easy.” That is some Classic Sam! The. Best. He’s the big Teddy Bear Mentor.
And now we come full circle to Fatima and Ali. So there’s that.
So that episode was a thing that aired and happened. Okay. That's that.

Inspector Warren Jacobi (Tyrees Allen) – Lindsay's loyal partner. He was up for the lieutenant position that went to Tom, but has not expressed much disappointment that he didn't get the job, seeming to prefer field work to the politics of the higher position. He also seems to prefer the finer things in life, having an affinity for wine, 30-year-old whiskey, and opera. He is thrice-divorced and has a child from one of those marriages.
Lieutenant Tom Hogan (Rob Estes) – Lindsay's ex-husband, who in the first episode was promoted to lieutenant and assigned as her boss. He is engaged in the pilot and has remarried by "To Drag and to Hold," but he still worries that Lindsay's obsession with her work will consume her. Tom was played by Christopher Wiehl in the unaired pilot.
Deputy District Attorney Denise Kwon (Linda Park) - Jill's immediate superior at the DA's office, she clashes with her over her "bleeding heart" style. She is also antagonistic towards Jill due to her past romantic history with Hanson North. When the show returned after the writers' strike, the first episode credits no longer showed her name. But by the second episode, she was back in the credits as a series regular.
Recurring cast[edit]
Luke Bowen (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) – Jill's ex-boyfriend. He is an ER doctor at the fictional Mission Cross North. Jill and Luke have recently broken up after he finds that she had slept with Hanson.
Hanson North (Kyle Secor) – Defense attorney who has a romantic history with Jill and is currently seeing her boss, Denise Kwon.
Ed Washburn (Jonathan Adams) – Claire's husband. Currently uses a wheelchair full-time after being shot while serving as a police officer.
Heather Hogan née Donnelly (Ever Carradine) – Tom's new wife. She is a kindergarten teacher who is eco-friendly, planning a green wedding.
Pete Raynor (Joel Gretsch) – Lindsay's love interest in season 1, who is in town for only two weeks.

Danielle Moné Truitt as Sergeant Ayanna Bell, squad supervisor of the OCCB task force and Stabler's current direct superior and partner.
Ainsley Seiger as Detective 2nd Grade Jet Slootmaekers, a former independent hacker who is recruited to the OCCB task force on Stabler's recommendation. She was requalified as an NYPD officer to work with the OCCB task force. In season 3 episode 16 ("Chinatown"), she is promoted from Detective 3rd Grade to Detective 2nd Grade.
Tamara Taylor as Prof. Angela Wheatley (seasons 1–2), a former math professor at Columbia University, ex-wife of Richard Wheatley, and a suspect in the hit ordered on Kathy Stabler. She committed suicide and presumably murdered Richard at the same time after discovering that Richard was responsible for her son Richie's murder.
Dylan McDermott as Richard Wheatley (seasons 1–2), son of notorious mobster Manfredi Sinatra, now a businessman and owner of an online pharmaceutical company who leads a second life as a crime boss, and was a suspect in the murder of Stabler's wife. He was presumed murdered by Angela after she discovered that Wheatley murdered their son Richie.
Nona Parker Johnson as Detective 3rd Grade Carmen "Nova" Riley (season 2, recurring season 2), an undercover narcotics detective working under Brewster's command to infiltrate the Marcy Killers. She retires from the NYPD and leaves New York after the murder of the gang's leader Preston Webb.
Brent Antonello as Detective 2nd Grade Jamie Whelan (season 3), a detective with the OCCB. In the season 3 finale, he is shot and paralyzed by Kyle Wilkie and later dies in the hospital.
Rick Gonzalez as Detective 2nd Grade Bobby Reyes (season 3–present), an undercover detective with the OCCB.
Chicago pd
Jason Beghe as Sergeant Henry "Hank" Voight, the enigmatic and often mercurial chief of the Chicago P.D.'s Intelligence Unit. Despite his brutal, tough exterior, he is loyal to the cops and detectives serving under him and highly "dedicated" to the victims of the crimes his unit investigates to the point of committing human rights violations, mainly torture, and not respecting the law. He is first introduced in Chicago Fire as a dirty cop who clashes with CFD Lieutenant Matthew Casey after Voight's son, Justin, causes an accident in which a teenager is paralyzed, and Casey, who was first on scene, had intended to testify that Justin was DUI. He is arrested by Det. Antonio Dawson for trying to have Casey silenced by force but is later released from prison and reinstated to the police force by Internal Affairs. As a result, many of Casey's colleagues dislike him, and Casey's superior Chief Boden has a love-hate working relationship with him. It is eventually revealed in the Chicago Fire episode "Let Her Go" that his dirty cop alter ego was part of an undercover operation to catch criminals and other dirty cops. Prior to taking command of Intelligence, Voight worked in the Gang Unit. His father Richard was a former CPD officer who was killed in the line of duty. Voight is a widower; his wife, Camille, died of cancer some years prior. His son, Justin, served in the Army and was killed in the last episode of season 3 while trying to help a friend. Voight took an interest in Erin Lindsay at 14 and raised her as his daughter.
Jon Seda as Senior Detective Antonio Dawson (seasons 1–6), an Intelligence Unit detective who previously arrested Voight for harassment and has since worked alongside him. Unlike Voight, he has limits on how far he will go to get criminals off the streets, as shown by the fact that he asks Halstead to stop Voight from killing anyone while on the hunt for Pulpo because he does not want it on his conscience. He and his ex-wife Laura have two children: Diego and Eva. He is the older brother of Chicago Fire character Gabriela "Gabby" Dawson. In season 4, he is offered a job at the State's Attorney's Office as Lead Investigator, which he accepts. After becoming disillusioned with the job, he returns to the unit in the first episode of season 5. In season 6, Antonio struggles with recovering from a shoulder injury and dependency on the oxycodone he is taking for the pain. After a dealer he owes kidnaps, beats, and rapes his daughter, Antonio, high on oxy, kills him in revenge. Though Voight and Ruzek manage to cover up the incident as self-defense, and Antonio successfully recovers in rehab, mayor-hopeful Superintendent Brian Kelton later gets the case reopened in order to take down the Intelligence Unit, and in the season finale, Antonio relapses after Ruzek is arrested after taking the blame for everything to protect him. In the season 7 premiere, it is revealed that Voight found Antonio and checked him into an off-the-books rehab clinic to get him clean again while also protecting his career. It was revealed several episodes later that Antonio resigned and moved to Puerto Rico to spend more time with his family.
Sophia Bush as Detective Erin Lindsay (seasons 1–4),[7] a tough Intelligence Unit detective and former CI whom Voight took under his wing when she was a juvenile delinquent. Because of this, she is closer to Voight than the other members of the unit. She has a half-brother, Teddy Courtney, who was taken by a pedophile ring at age thirteen and was found turning tricks in New York City 10 years later. She was in a relationship with her partner Jay Halstead from seasons 2 to 4. Near the end of the fourth season, Lindsay is accused of assault after she sticks her gun down a pedophile's throat in the interrogation room; facing possible dismissal from the police force, she accepts a job offer at the FBI in New York and leaves Chicago.
Jesse Lee Soffer as Senior Detective Jay Halstead (seasons 1–10), an Intelligence Unit detective who was Detective Lindsay's partner. A former Army Ranger, he is confident in his abilities and sometimes comes across as cocky. He also suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, shown progressively during Season 5, later seeking therapy for it. He is the older brother of Chicago Med character Dr. Will Halstead. He was in a relationship with his partner Erin Lindsay from season 2 until she transferred to the FBI in New York at the end of season 4. He later marries fellow detective Hailey Upton in season 9. Following Olinsky's death and Antonio's resignation, Halstead becomes Voight's right-hand. He later resigns from the force early in season 10 after becoming disillusioned with the gray area the Intelligence Unit has to work in, and returns to the Army in a new job hunting drug cartels in Bolivia.
Patrick John Flueger as Officer Adam Ruzek, a younger police officer recruited straight out of the academy by Olinsky to do undercover work. He is often portrayed as an overeager amateur who dives headfirst into a situation without thinking. His parents are separated, and he split time between his father, "Disco Bob" Ruzek (Jack Coleman), a longtime patrol officer with the 26th District who lives in Beverly, and his mother in Canaryville. He was engaged to fellow police officer Kim Burgess.
Marina Squerciati as Officer Kim Burgess, a former flight attendant turned uniformed patrol officer who was Atwater's partner. She was then partnered with Sean Roman before his departure. Burgess is shot in "Called in Dead" and spends the next episode recovering. She was engaged to Adam Ruzek; the relationship is later broken off because of commitment issues. She later develops feelings for Roman before he moves to San Diego. In season 4, she is offered a job in Intelligence, which she accepts.
LaRoyce Hawkins as Officer Kevin Atwater, a uniformed patrol officer who was Burgess' former partner until he was promoted to the Intelligence Unit. He is responsible for caring for his younger siblings, his brother, Jordan, and sister, Vanessa. After his brother testifies to a grand jury about a crime he witnessed, and Vanessa is threatened with rape for her brother being a snitch, he sends them to live with their aunt in Texas.
Archie Kao as Detective Sheldon Jin (season 1), a tech and surveillance expert. He was discovered to be a reluctant mole working for Internal Affairs sergeant Edwin Stillwell, who had leverage to make him cooperate. He is found murdered in the first-season finale episode, "A Beautiful Friendship".
Elias Koteas as Senior Detective Alvin Olinsky (seasons 1–5), a veteran undercover officer and a friend of Voight who previously worked with him in the Gang Unit. Before joining the force, Olinsky served in the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team stationed in Vicenza, Italy. Olinsky mentions in "Called in Dead" that he has eight confirmed kills in the line of duty. At the end of the fifth season, Olinsky is arrested for the murder of Kevin Bingham, the man who murdered Voight's son, Justin, and is later stabbed to death via a hit in prison while awaiting trial.
Amy Morton as Sergeant Trudy Platt (season 2–present; recurring season 1), a sarcastic desk sergeant of District 21, and the immediate superior of the district's patrol officers. Before taking a desk job, she was a uniformed patrol officer, and worked with Dawson. She passed the detective's exam twice. Platt is married to Chicago Fire character Randy "Mouch" McHolland.
Brian Geraghty as Officer Sean Roman (seasons 2–3; guest season 7[8]), a brash patrol officer who partners with Burgess after transferring to the 2-1 from District 31. He transferred out because of his relationship with Jenn Cassidy (Spencer Grammer), who is now a K-9 officer, to avoid breaking fraternization rules. He has his own private security company on the side. After being wounded in the line of duty, and with the department feeling he would be unable to return to patrol, he resigns and decides to join the San Diego Police Department.
Tracy Spiridakos as Detective Hailey Upton Halstead (season 5–present; recurring season 4), a tough former robbery-homicide detective and Erin Lindsay's replacement following her departure to New York. Upton gets transferred to the FBI field office in New York City in season 7 episode 18, "Lines", to temporarily fill in for an agent undercover. She has great relationships with her CIs and goes to many lengths to protect them. Despite a dark turn in Season 7, she is mostly a "by the book" detective. She is married to former Detective Jay Halstead.
Lisseth Chavez as Officer Vanessa Rojas (season 7), a rookie and Antonio Dawson's replacement following his resignation. She previously worked in an undercover operations unit.
Benjamin Levy Aguilar as Officer Dante Torres (season 10; guest season 9[9]), a recruit who had a complicated past and was recruited under Detective Halstead's wing.Recurring[edit]
Samuel Caleb Hunt as Greg "Mouse" Gerwitz (seasons 1–4), the tech and surveillance expert for the Intelligence Unit who replaces Detective Jin. He had served in the same Army unit as Halstead. After he persuades Voight to get a felony expunged, he resigns from Intelligence to reenlist in the Army.
Stella Maeve as Nadia Decotis (seasons 1–2), an 18-year-old former escort and addict whom Lindsay tries and succeeds in helping. She later becomes the Intelligence Unit's civilian administrative aide and was studying to be a police officer. She was murdered by Dr. Gregory Yates in Law & Order: SVU's 16th season, episode "Daydream Believer", the conclusion of the season's second SVU/Chicago crossover event.

The lizzie bennet diaries
Elizabeth "Lizzie" Bennet (Ashley Clements;[11] Elizabeth Bennet in the novel) is the middle Bennet sister and the narrator of most of the vlogs. She is a graduate student studying mass communications and, like her original counterpart, believes women should be highly educated and do more with their lives than simply pursue husbands. She is very close with her best friend, Charlotte Lu, who was born on the same day as she, as well as her older sister, Jane, while appearing to have a more strained relationship with her younger sister, Lydia. While it is clear that she cares for her family and friends, she can also be fairly prejudiced and quick to judge people who she perceives as condescending or a threat to her way of life, such as Darcy and, at first, Bing Lee.
Charlotte Lu (Julia Cho;[12] Charlotte Lucas in the novel) is Lizzie's best friend and often the director/editor of her vlog. Charlotte wants to be a filmmaker and convinced Lizzie to start her vlog as part of a school project. While the original character of Charlotte Lucas from the books is a minor character, Lu's role in The Lizzie Bennet Diaries has been greatly expanded; she appears in many of the beginning episodes, and, according to both Lizzie and Jane, practically lives at the Bennet house. Charlotte and Lizzie have a falling out after Charlotte accepts Ricky Collins' job offer (which Lizzie originally turned down), but the two soon reconcile.
Jane Bennet (Laura Spencer[13]) is the eldest of the Bennet children, and an overworked, underpaid merchandise coordinator in the fashion world. She is incredibly polite, sweet and, according to Lizzie, "practically perfect in every way."[14] When Bing Lee moves into town, Jane is immediately smitten with him, much to the absolute joy of her mother. Jane is devastated by Bing's sudden departure. She moves to Los Angeles for both a new job and the hope of reconnecting with Bing. She later returns to her home to support her sister Lydia through her difficulties. After this is resolved, Jane is offered a new job in New York City and reconciles with Bing.
Lydia Britney Bennet (Mary Kate Wiles[15]) is the youngest Bennet child, currently attending community college. She is "feisty, energetic, and unapologetic."[16] Lizzie, somewhat less kindly, describes her as "too old to be on any reality shows about having babies in high school."[14] She has also created a series of her own videos starring herself, her cousin Mary, and her cat, Kitty.[17] On the occasion of her 21st birthday in December 2012, she and Lizzie get into a bitter argument about Lydia's perceived immaturity, and Lydia makes plans to vacation in Las Vegas for New Year's Eve, where she meets George Wickham and begins dating. Later, after being the victim of George Wickham's money-making site, she makes up with her sisters.
Bing Lee (Christopher Sean;[18] Charles Bingley in the novel) is a young, wealthy Asian-American medical student who has moved into The Netherfield House in the same neighborhood as the Bennets. He quickly falls for Jane Bennet and begins to date her. Bing abruptly leaves Netherfield and Jane by returning to Los Angeles, breaking Jane's heart, after Darcy suggests that Jane is only engaging in a relationship with him for his money and Caroline tells him that Jane flirted with another guy at his birthday party. However, after a run-in with Lizzie during her time at Pemberley Digital, he makes a return, having quit medical school to pursue his own passions. He and Jane move to New York together in episode 92.
Caroline Lee (Jessica Jade Andres;[19] Caroline Bingley in the novel) is Bing Lee's sister. She is aware of Lizzie's vlog diaries and appears to help Lizzie keep Bing and Darcy from discovering them during Lizzie and Jane's stay at Netherfield. She has a romantic interest in William Darcy, although her feelings aren't reciprocated. She is later revealed to have attempted to manipulate events to keep Bing and Jane apart, as well as (to a lesser extent) stymie Darcy's feelings for Lizzie. Caroline reappears in the sequel, Emma Approved, as Senator James Elton's fiancé, replacing Augusta Elton, the original wife of Philip Elton, from the novel.[20]
Ricky Collins (Maxwell Glick;[21] William Collins in the novel) is a former classmate of Lizzie and Charlotte's, who asks that he be addressed only as Mr. Collins. He has formed an alliance with venture capitalist Catherine de Bourgh, to attempt a foray into the world of web video. Mr. Collins frequently visits the Bennets while in town for a few weeks and, near the end of his stay, offers Lizzie a lucrative job at his company, Collins and Collins. Lizzie turns him down, so he offers the job to Charlotte, who accepts. This decision causes a brief but bitter argument between the two best friends, but they reconcile after Charlotte invites Lizzie to visit Collins & Collins (in the fictional town of Hunsford, California), where Lizzie also learns to tolerate Mr. Collins.
William Darcy (Daniel Vincent Gordh;[22] Fitzwilliam Darcy in the novel) is Bing Lee's best friend and the wealthy heir to an entertainment corporation called Pemberley Digital. He stays with Bing and Caroline at Netherfield until they all leave for Los Angeles. He first meets Lizzie at a wedding, and she overheard him telling Bing that she was "decent enough", which is when her dislike towards him starts. He is described by Lizzie as a snobby and condescending robot, and Jane has difficulty coming up with a flattering descriptor of him, beyond "tall";[23] Charlotte, however, believes that Darcy has a crush on Lizzie.[24] For a long time, second-hand characterization is all the audience has to go by, as Darcy is referred to but never seen, making his first appearance in episodes 59[25] (only from the neck down) and 60,[26] where he confirms Charlotte's suspicions by confessing his love for Lizzie.
George Wickham (Wes Aderhold[27]) is the coach of a university swim team who forms a short-lived romantic attachment with Lizzie. He claims that though he and Darcy were childhood friends, Darcy ruined his life by withholding money Darcy's father had promised, thereby ending George's hopes of a college education.[28] He leaves town for work, eventually re-entering the story after New Year's Day, where he meets and becomes romantically involved with Lydia, as chronicled in her spin-off videos. At the same time, Lizzie learns that George gambled away all the money the elder Darcy left for him, and then took advantage of Gigi Darcy, William's sister, for more. Finally, he attempts to exploit "YouTube Star Lydia Bennet" by releasing a sex tape of the two of them online.[29]
Fitz Williams (Craig Frank;[30] Col. Fitzwilliam in the novel) is Darcy's friend and colleague. Lizzie meets him while dining with Catherine de Bourgh, Darcy's aunt and Charlotte's boss. He has a boyfriend, Brandon, whose name was officially confirmed on Fitz's Twitter, and is particularly good at making care-packages.
Georgiana "Gigi" Darcy (Allison Paige;[31] Georgiana Darcy in the novel) is William Darcy's younger sister and a graphic designer at Pemberley Digital. Her first appearance in The Lizzie Bennet Diaries was Episode 77. She is aware of the video diaries, and claims to like them. She and George Wickham were romantically involved, but this ended when William proved that George was taking advantage of her for the money. Twitter posts between Gigi and Fitz suggest that she actively tries to push Lizzie and Darcy together. She is also instrumental in helping to end George's money-making plot: though the website itself did not list his name and George had stopped returning calls, he answers Gigi when she calls him, allowing Fitz and Darcy to track him down. Thereafter Darcy bought out the company which owned the rights to the sex tape, preventing it from ever being released.
Mrs. Bennet is Lizzie's mother. She appears to be a traditional Southern woman, eager to see her daughters married and interested in little else besides neighborhood gossip. She is almost always impersonated by Lizzie.
Mr. Bennet is Lizzie's father. He appears more calm and levelheaded than his wife, though one of his favorite activities, according to Lizzie, is winding her up.[32] He has a special fondness for bonsai trees and prepares a train extravaganza every Christmas. He is often impersonated by Charlotte and Lydia.
Catherine de Bourgh (Lady Catherine de Bourgh in the novel) is Darcy's aunt and an extremely wealthy venture capitalist who is the primary investor in Collins & Collins, the new media firm run by Mr. Collins, where Charlotte accepts a job offer after Lizzie rejected it. Catherine is very attached to her sickly dog who she calls Annie Kins. She is quick with her opinions and judgements. Charlotte said that Catherine is "on Team Caroline," meaning that she wants her nephew to be with Caroline. She is impersonated by Lizzie, and Ashley Clements says her impression is a combination of Julia Child, Miranda Priestly and Dolores Umbridge.[33]
Mary Bennet (Briana Cuoco[34]) is Lydia, Jane, and Lizzie's cousin who has appeared sporadically in Lydia's vlogs and once in Lizzie's. She becomes better friends and occasional tutor with Lydia while Lydia is staying at her house despite their opposing personalities. She is often the "forgotten" character and her Twitter reads, "I am Mary, never forgotten." Mary also has a boyfriend by the name of Eddie (a subtle nod to the character of Edmund Bertram from Austen's Mansfield Park.)[35] In the novel, she is actually one of the five Bennet sisters, being the middle sister between Elizabeth and Kitty.
Kitty Bennet (Rosie of House Wiles) is Lydia's cat who appears in Lydia's vlogs. In the novel, she is actually one of the five Bennet sisters, being the second youngest after Lydia.

My real thoughts on Lost Soldier Down:
Usually I take these thoughts somewhere else, but the site that I regularly go to for these kind of comments isn’t going to allow negative comments on the show anymore. (🙄🙄), so this is the only place that I can post my real thoughts, completely unfiltered.
If you don’t like seeing negative comments about this show, then look away from this post! This is my blog, and I’ll post how I feel about this show the way I want to! And yeah, I have a lot of issues about this Season, and the way the show has been since Season 10, and I don’t want to hide them because I’m afraid of being blocked or losing friends!
From looking at the pics and hearing what was in the sneak peaks, I knew that the double standards would be on full display. Gradually bringing back the bullpen humor, showing concern for an important member, yet 99% of the time refusing to provide info or concern for their boss who is in a dangerous foreign country? Giving Fatima PTSD, yet every other team member who went through far worse things then what she went through is ‘just okay’? Give me a break.
I can’t even begin to describe how annoyed I was when I heard Kensi was ‘just in Mexico’. Like, is this the new writing strategy for busy actors? Either never explain where they went or send them off to foreign countries and needing them to be rescued? Are we back in Season 9?
Kilbride trying to be nice is soooo creepy! This is the same groucho who trashed the team multiple times last Season, and now we’re supposed to believe he’s trying to care about 1 or 2 team members? Not buying it for 1 minute!
And how about his huge hypocrisy towards giving Fatima time off because she has PTSD? Remember back in the premiere when he brought up what happened to Hetty in Season 9 in a very offensive way to her face? Just because some people don’t show their problems out loud, it doesn’t mean that they’re not struggling! Showing ‘kindness’ to 1 team member yet treating everyone else like a dirt sandwich is not the way to run a team, and it makes you look like a huge hypocrite!! (Also, what Hetty went through was for 3 months!!! 3 months!! No regards to how she might have been feeling after all that or if she might still be struggling with that to today??!! Hypocrite.)
If PTSD is going to be offered in a new team member, then how about exploring it in the rest of the team? You know, since they’ve all gone through far, far worse things then getting shot.
This show needs to stop giving the special treatment to the newbies. Because they are no different or special then everyone else on the team!! Hetty never gave anyone special treatment, and for good reasons! Codling people too much when this is not a job for the weak is not going to help them.
Here’s the 1 positive thing that I liked:
I’m all for meeting more of Hetty’s proteges, I just hope it’s for the right reasons and not to prop up more future useless angst.
And last thing: Callen doing everything he can to find Hetty makes me happy. Because they need to happily reunite and her team needs to give her the love and comfort she desperately needs!!
Finally, next week’s episode looks like a cheap attempt at whump.

I was curious about something, so I went digging into the fandoms I’ve been in and the show/books/movies I’ve hyperfixated on, trying to find common denominators. I.e. when and why do I go from liking something to falling down a rabbit hole?
[random infodump about me incoming]
There are many things I love, even hyperfixate on to some extent, but that either don’t have a real fandom or where I don’t end up going to read/write fics (such as Discworld. I love it with all my heart, but Pratchett’s writing is too inherent to it imo, and I can’t get into fanfic. LOTR is another: I got into the movie fandom, because i love the books but I didn’t want to read fics about them).
There are clearly a few things that stand out. First, I fall in love with characters. I fall in love with stories/world, but those don’t drive me to fics. Second, I fall in love with three specific types of things.
[note that there are fandoms in there that I’m actually ashamed I ever liked, and definitely a lot of fandoms I have heavily distanced myself from for a variety of reasons]
1) Interesting/mostly well-written disabled characters (including autistic-coded): House MD (House). Fruits Basket (Hatori). Criminal Minds (Reid). Anything X-Men (Charles Xavier). Covert Affairs (Auggie). Once upon a time (Rumpelstilskin. This one didn’t last long lol). Leverage (Parker). The Librarians (Cassandra, Flynn, Jake & Ezekiel to some extent). Roswell NM (Alex).
2) Character or pairing/friendship with a complicated and interesting (read:angsty) backstory: Harry Potter (Harry). House MD (House). Fruits Basket (basically everyone). NCIS (Gibbs). NCIS:LA (Callen). Leverage (Eliot). The Gifted (John, Lorna). Movie LOTR (Aragorn, Faramir). White Collar (Neal). The Musketeers (Athos). Roswell NM (Malex, to some extent Isobel and Liz).
3) Themes surrounding being different, being othered/oppressed/persecuted because of it: Harry Potter. Fruits Basket. X-Men & The Gifted. House MD & The Librarians (to some extent, heavily linked to the autistic-coded characters). Roswell NM.
The two shows I’m currently watching that have serious potential to be next: Black Sails and Elementary. They interestingly fit really hard into all three categories.
It gives me a clearer insight as to why I fell so hard for RNM, and also why I’m not even interested in canon anymore, even beyond the recent mess. I still love Alex, and even Malex, but almost only in fics/in my head. This show fit into all three of the above points from the pilot, and it had a LOT of potential to be amazing. And then it just got worse, and worse, and around 1x10 all of it was just gone. They forgot about Alex’s disability (point 1), they made Noah (an alien of color!) the big bad guy rather than, you know, the genocidal government conspiracy (point 3), they gave up on the amazing potential of Malex’s history to make a random love triangle and more recently murdered all their characterization (point 2).
Guess I’ll keep holding on to the pilot’s potential in my fics. I’ve given up on canon. This insight maybe frees me to even ignore most of season 1, and not just season 2, and just do whatever I want.

I watched an interview segment where Daniela describes the day her water broke (during her first pregnancy I think) and Eric was out with his brother, so Daniella went over to Eric's house, and Eric's wife had to call Eric and ask him to buy Daniela some pads to avoid a big mess for the ride to the hospital maybe, and Eric asked, "Tampon pads?" Daniella's recount was hilarious.
I've written a whole lot beyond this point, do maybe a second ask is in order. That way you could ignore it (you really could), post only your reply or put it under a read more. It's more work for you but I still feel bad about the space that ask about Sam's family takes up on your blog. I did not think it through. (1/2)
lol, I appreciate the consideration, nonnie! Part two of your ask is under the cut. And lol to that interview quote!!
Kensi is back before the end of S05 turns out. I thought she gave birth in the spring, so I figured we had sevedal episodes to go with her on the special assignment. Then I read she gave birth in December, when things seemed to come to a head during the episode the team rescues her and it seemed just too soon. It's amazing that both she and the show's team managed to give Kensi as much screentime as they did. This Afghanistan storyline had me hooked actually. I was a bit sad that it was over as quickly. Despite the limitations and the fact that I love the team together, seeing Kensi star in a side story running parallel to the main plot, without the others stealing into it, was great. The story was fascinating, Kensi's dynamic with Granger and Sabatino was interesting to watch, the connection to her past a nice touch. Bonus points to the writers for not attempting a love triangle and for writing Jack becoming a Muslim and saying he found peace in it. I do also appreciate the few times immigrants they've interrogated have told them off about the U.S. 'intervention' in the Middle East and Callen, Sam or whoever it was just kept their mouth shut and you could see they did so because they couldn't deny those accusations. It's quite surprising and nice. Back to Kensi, I wish they'd taken a couple more episodes to give her Afghanistan storyline a slower closure. It seemed too rushed. I would have liked to see her more in action, trying to save Jack and herself, parallel to the team's rescue attempt. It could have at least been a two-parter. Still glad we got it at all.
One complaint I have is about Deeks. I don't know if I'm being dramatic here but I feel they've been mistreating him far too much. It's not so much about Kensi because they've developed their own kind of banter and Kensi shows him how much she cares. Although, remember right before Kensi left for Afghanistan, the day after the night we're supposed to assume they slept together, she was hostage to someone they were chasing and he was using her as a human shield, and Deeks didn't take the shot. Remember how she punched him? I'm still angry and bitter she did that, let alone that she didn't apologize, let even more alone that she acted as though what she did was right. I fully understand what the reasoning behind it all is or is supposed to be, but it was so wrong. And then, to circle back, I hate the way Callen and Sam have been treating Deeks since the moment he joined the team. It took Deeks withstanding torture and not giving up Michelle, torture that left him traumatized, for Sam to let up on the 'teasing'. I'm not even touching Callen, who actually tried to get Sam to stop being soft on Deeks 'just because of what Deeks did for Michelle and because he misses his partner who's gone on a dangerous special assignment'. Maybe I'm being dramatic but I really think the line on the teasing they give Deeks has been crossed a long time ago and I don't think they're ever going to show any remorse for it.
There was this show I got into when it was already on S14. One of the main characters that was there since S02 left and it wasn't the actor's choice. It was my favorite character out of the entire show. Anyway, I was binging S11 when the news broke. I finished it and that was it for me. They were my comfort character and I tried to watch the next two seasons they were still in but two episodes in, I stopped. I don't know why? Keeping new content of them for the future? Not wanting to watch about 40 hours more of them knowing they are the last ever and it sucks? It's been a few years since then and I haven't regretted it so far. It somehow feels right that I didn't reach the end of that character. And I've done it with other shows too. Once I got past my obsessive need to see shows and franchises through, quiting things became easy and a good tactic when something you loved decides to change the things you love most about it.
I'm sorry about Nell. It sucks. And hopefully the drama in your life is not too bad. I had some of it too, so my binging turned slow as molasses (is it even binging any more?) when it started off so well. And then the drama was capped with that very final, very irreversible bad thing that happens and the world just turns a little dimmer, the colors and just all of it a bit duller. Hence, also, my rudely late replies. Hopefully, your drama is at least a few or several steps away from that.
Oh, chef's kiss for Nell and Nallen in 5x05 ('cute girls with guns') and 5x14 or 5x15 (you know, with Nell fighting that guy in the boatshed's interrogation room and then Callen lowering her gently to the ground and brushing her hair back and all that Nallen goodness). I'd actually seen gifs of the second thing before but none had the fight and I hadn't paid attention to the episode number or even season, so I was very pleasantly surprised and miiiiight have replayed it a half dozen times. (2/2)
I also enjoyed what they did with Jack, although I feel like they never really resolve Hetty's part in things. Like....dick move, Hetty. Very dick move. And minor spoiler, but Sabatino returns, and while the entire team seems to hate him 5ever, I actually really like him lol. He's funny! And cute.
You are not alone in feeling that Deeks is mistreated by the guys, nonnie! There are whole communities of Deeks fans that hate it a LOT. I definitely feel like they cross the line sometimes....but conversely, I feel like Deeks crosses the line pretty often himself. I think in general the writers aren't great at judging when too much is enough, you know? But yeah, that doesn't stop anytime soon, I'm afraid.
Awwwww, I'm sorry you had that experience before with a show, nonnie! But yeah, sometimes quitting is the best thing you can do. It's better, I think, than continuing to drag it out and watching when you're not enjoying it anymore....then it's too easy to become bitter and then you can't even enjoy the earlier parts you used to love.
I'm also sorry you had drama followed by something worse! I hope things are getting better for you <3 For myself, things got very busy at work and then I was impacted by Hurricane Ida, which chased me out of state for two weeks while I waited for power and water to be restored to my apartment. I spent those two weeks living minutes from my mom and brother, which was nice but has had the impact that now I miss them a lot more than I did before.....like somehow I got used to living away from them and being close erased that adjustment? And now I'm not as good at it as I used to be. In fact, I'm actively hoping for my employer to have an opening there so I can transfer back. So I've been very emotional lately, on top of which the ongoing recovery from Ida meant more work for me at my job.
Whew, didn't mean to rant about that! Sorry.
And yessssssss, those are some of the BEST Nallen moments!!! I loooove him tenderly brushing her hair out of her face. That's probably my second favorite--or third favorite, there are two things coming that are tied for first favorite. So you've got that to look forward to!!
Sorry this took so long, nonnie! I hope life is going well this week! <3

What do you think about season 9?
i have liked more episodes than i disliked them.
for the bad~
If i could choose, i’d cut out that terrible cyberbully/eco terrorist episode, the one with the crop virus???, and probably the Joelle one, too. That irritated me because it felt preachy in the same way the cyber bully one did. I would go back and make them, instead of airing the eps in the wrong order, hold a new episode for a week and air a repeat, because airing 3 as 2 was insulting to sam’s characterisation.
I haven’t sat through 9x24 yet, bUT while i found Callen’s animosity towards Mosley to be ridiculous as we went through the weeks, childish and out of line at the time, it’s now fairly clear to me they only kept it up for so long so they could do the opposite in the finale and have Mosley run riot, i’m actually very annoyed at that. It seemed manufactured after a while when Callen was still being all shady at her despite her not actually being a bad boss, and i couldn’t fathom why they did it for so long, until now anyway. Now it’s clear and i’m just annoyed at it.
and this is mildly petty but i’m gonna include it, i’m annoyed Andrea Bordeaux did not get series regular status, she was in it a HELL of a lot more than Linda Hunt and i can see little reason for her not being added to the cast list other than the network didn’t want a female heavy network show.
but the good
i have liked Densi this season, nothing has seemed contrived, the build up to this drama is clearly placed throughout the whole season and they haven’t lost the essence of both characters throughout their relationship. I genuinely think this is one of the best long term examples of ship writing in any show, like, ever, the issues they have stem from established characterisation and flaws they are aware of but still do not manage to stomp out entirely. They clearly love, support and have each other’s backs and respect each other’s autonomy (that respect, ironically, has lead in part to this conflict they’re in).
I feel like the writers handled introducing 2 new characters at once well, they feel like real people to me. I love that Harley is clearly after the acceptance and friendship of her new colleagues, but has the sheer loyalty to refuse to pick one or the other between them or her boss. It’s an honourable quality to have. At the same time, i feel like they handled having a new AD actually fairly well, until Mosley actually totally lost it (and aside from the obviously contrived deeks v her plot, i understand her actions even as she’s driving me up a wall), she was a decent and fair boss, she let the team get away with So Much Shit and she did not have to, but they also managed to retain that feeling they had with Granger, that yes, this person is on my side, but also... we can’t be sure they will back me up.
some of the stand alones have been amazing, as well, and the mirror themes in the episode with Callen’s father were actually kind of artful if not entirely depressing. Ep 200 wrote an ensemble stunningly, while also retaining the show’s core of being about partners flawlessly. I finally got an emotionally resonant wrap up to Granger’s story from a character we’d met before, AND Callen and Sam. And i do respect that there were undoubtedly a million reasons why last season they foisted that off on people we’d not met before (and therefore had not met miguel and would not have had trouble filming the episodes) I did feel like the audience got short changed.
Kensi, i think, has done pretty well this season? She’s not been at the forefront, but what we’ve gotten for her i genuinely like, she’s taking on another kind of mentor relationship with Harley like she already did with Nell, and it’s nice to see Kensi’s nurturing side, along with a few of her classic ‘ew men’ one liners.
I thought that the writers learnt their lesson about writing long game plots with the Vietnam business. My issue in the past has been their ability to set up a spectacular intricate plot and then just... let it drop and tie a bow on it and say it was wrapped up simply. In this story, they did not make the plot so complicated that it couldn’t be wrapped up with simplicity and it helped So Much.
Sam looking out for Harley was adorable, big brother Sam is my favourite.
the ???????
i’m on the fence about how i feel about neric, looking back on it it’s clear how absurdly flirty they were, and the writers did carefully make it so we’re to understand their moments DID happen, just off screen, i just feel like they fell back into old patterns of only treating them like people when they were required for obnoxious plot exposition. But hey, at least they gave me something, and frankly i wasn’t optimistic.
I am, while still furious about Michelle, pleased they managed to incorporate her memory in the season without necessarily feeling like she was being used. I mean, she was, but i appreciate they didn’t rub it in my face.
they kinda went ??? with callen and anna, on one hand i recognise this as a vague warning tale for densi, but also, i’d have hoped anna had earnt her own stories as opposed to just being a cautionary tale.
some more Alex would have been nice because we didn’t see her and then had a scene of her yelling at G and balance is needed, and more of it than that. They told us about a happy family that found each other and didn’t bother to show us.
anyway here ends this stream of consciousness, i’m incapable of brevity.

Flashes & Strokes: a Tale of Two Mediums
The digital and traditional arts are thriving in Dallas. From newer, technology based media like photography and digital art to more traditional art, there is so much to see, explore and learn from in the DFW area.  Through our Flashes and Strokes series, we’d like to celebrate artists from both worlds: traditional and digital.

“Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.” #drsuess When we were first starting out, figuring out our style, I was instantly drawn to the “fine art” style. The photography that was soft, romantic and very posed (think perfume ad) and for the most part, lacked color. I kept trying to imitate that look, but it never felt right or true to who I was and what I wanted to create. So I decided to go off the deep end (ha!) and created my own interpretation of “fine art” which instead showed immense joy, happiness, and color and based our entire brand and look off of that. Low and behold, we started book clients that said “We were instantly drawn to your photos because of how joyful people are and your use of color!” 😍 So the moral of the story is two part: You can be inspired by people, but the best product you will ever create will come from within and secondly, it may take some time and no you won’t attract every couple, but you WILL attract the ones that are perfect for you. 🥰😘❤️ . . .   Mount Bonnell: One of the most beautiful places in Austin also the place where the boy asked me to be his wife 💍. Only 3 months until we say ‘I do’ in a field in Lithuania surrounded by friends and family. 🌿 It’s also one of the reasons why I have neglected sunnydei.com and this account. My focus had shifted to establishing our new life in a new country. Making friends, setting up our home (buying everything from forks to a car), planning the wedding remotely 😅😅😅 and starting my own business! Today I actually posted on both accounts for the first time @flowermouthphotography 👏 . Once the wedding is over I am planning to come back ( for real this time) and start sharing my travel and foodie adventures with you all again 😊 I just can’t do it all at once or I’ll snap😂 .   It’s Wedding Tip Wednesday! 🎉 So many brides get SO STRESSED OUT about things outside of their control. At the end of the day, the goal is for you to be married, not for everything to be EXACTLY perfect on the day. We’ve been to hundreds of weddings and they NEVER work out exactly according to plan. It’ll be okay. Take a deep breath, relax, and embrace your day. Don’t let something small keep you from ENJOYING yourself. Who knows, you might be rained out of an outdoor ceremony. But you might just get to dance with the love of your life in the rain. ☔️ #weddingtipwednesday #rpweddingtips #weddingtip #tipsforbrides #weddingday #weddingready #loveandwildhearts #authenticlove #dancingintherain #weddingphotography #weddingvideography #redeemedproductions #bridesofok

Based on the ‘nostalgia’ digging I’ve done on here, here’s the NCIS LA episodes that were stunk on here (and my personal op):
S5′s The Frozen Lake: So the ending was harsh, by then, most should’ve known that SOMETHING had to be done to cover up Dani’s pregnancy! I really enjoyed that episode, perfect start to an arc that would be a cause for Densi’s ‘evoulution’.
S5′s Spoils of War: So many fandom issues here, not just with divided opinions about Jack, but mainly cuz most were ignoring the fact that in the episode that came before this, Kensi left without telling anyone where she was going, to find her ex fiance, and got herself captured! and in doing so, thought pinning the ENTIRE thing on Hetty would be a good idea! Disgraceful. OP: One of Military’s finest episodes! ranked very close to the top of my Season 5′s episode rankings!
Every S5 episode that came afterwards: So Densi were in a conflicted state, who wouldn’t be?! Kensi saw how war had changed her ex fiance (and probably hating herself for getting herself in such a precarious situation!), Deeks tortured a blind man when he thought Kensi was dead, that’s enough to put ANYONE in a conflicted state! Main problem: The fanatics wanted a blow up between Hetty and Kensi about the whole thing. here’s why it never happened: Kensi knew she put herself in that dangerous situation, not Hetty. She also knew the dangers of the job, and she also knew that if someone else was sent after Jack, he would’ve been killed. So, you can basically say, she knew after all of that that Hetty sent her to save her ex fiance! it wasn’t to punish Densi for being together, it was to save a friend! (plus, would Hetty have written that ‘sunshine and gunpowder’ note that basically told Deeks he could be with Kensi if she DIDN’T want to them to be together??!) So, blowing up at Hetty over a tough call (leaders are supposed to make tough calls!) and over something that couldn’t be controlled would’ve just made her look like a whiny selfish child.
The 1st 4 episodes of S6: Not sure if this is paranoia, but, it kind of feels like those episodes were only SOMEWHAT liked only for some Densi parts. or it’s probably cuz 3 of those (arguably the best 3 parter this show has ever done!) were all badass Hetty centric! what’s not to seriously love about those kind??!
S6′s Rage: Nit pick all you want about changing when Callen met Hetty after 18 to 15, but if anything, that episode only proved more about just how much of a mom Hetty is to him! Plus, what’s not to be awed by that flashback??! (and honestly, all that silly freaking out over a sneak peak kiss that was CLEARLY undercover work? so ridiculous!)
S6′s finale: Don’t even ask me why this appears to be disliked for ANY reason that’s not Densi related. This was a great finale, we had the team working together (plus, Hetty in the field is a rareity!), and other good things!
I’ll post a part 2 of this later cuz I’ve been typing for almost an half hour.
