introduction ♡ ♡ ♡

Heyy, my name is Lumi and I'm new to Tumblr :)

I'm a reality shifter. I have been in the community since around September 2020. Since then I have taken many breaks, some lasting for months. But I always came back. And I hope that I will keep coming back. Simply because I think the concept is amazing. I mean, just imagine being able to laugh with your favorite fictional characters, being friends with celebrities, living in a fantasy world, going on adventures, having a perfect life.

I didn't shift yet, but I believe that I am close. Personally, I have a difficult time motivating myself, that's why I tried starting to talk about my DRs online. First I've posted some videos on TikTok (see end of post) but came to the conclusion that everything is so fast-paced there. I just feel stressed thinking about how long I haven't posted anything there when I see my mutuals content. I also find it hard to organize the topics, everything is kinda muddled up. That's why I decided to try out a different format. I haven't used this platform for anything but reading fanfics yet, so I don't know much about blogs and such. But I definitely want to give it a try! Let's just see how this goes . . .

I haven't planned much for this blog. I'm probably just gonna info dump about my DRs here. Writing some lore here, posting about my DRselfs/personas there, maybe even some art (even though I'm not a god tier artist)? Who knows. Don't expect to see much. I'll use this mainly for myself.

The Liyue and modern GI are my main DRs. I've also been rewatching shows and anime that I loved years ago hence my Haikyuu!! and MHA DRs. They are my main focus as I'm writing this. But I tend to neglect things I'm no longer interested in. So don't wonder why I maybe post about something only once or twice and then never again.

I change my race in some DRs. I don't see why I shouldn't shift to realities where I have a different race or ethnicity if that reality already exists.

I also usually change my age to be younger. Since I'm legally no longer a minor some may not like the idea. I am childish and don't feel like most people my age. Most of my friends are 14 - 17 and I still feel like a kid. I want to have normal, fun teenage years since I didn't have that in my CR.

I think that's it. If I forgot anything I'll just add it later.

I won't argue on those topics. I've mentioned them and if you don't approve feel free to leave.

Dad? Is it really you? I don't know if you remember me, but I remember you

It is! I've changed @ so many times by this point ;3; But yes, it is in fact me~ (life updates under the cut, where I've been, what my plans are, etc)

TLDR; I left Tumblr for quite some time, as I made changes to my life and dealt with everything else. I'm finally on anti-depressants and trying to get back into the art grind.

But to fully update you all, I went to a really bad place mentally. I didn't want to keep going or do anything. The pandemic made things inherently worse as I was kept inside with nothing to do. I turned to streaming, but there's only so much that can do for me. I had a fight with my mom, moved out and to another state to live with friends, where I barely left the house, barely went outside. I was chronically online (Twitter mostly), and without a job, I had nothing to distract me at all. There weren't even any sidewalks where I was, so I wasn't able to walk anywhere. Shoutout to my friend Aimee for taking me Pokemon hunting or buying me gifts because it boosted my mood a bit.

My physical health also tanked. I do not have a single tooth that is not decaying and/or broken. I dealt with a few UTIs, and since I had no insurance, I had to deal with it by myself, that led to a kidney infection. I was in pain for a whole month. My knee is fucked up because I slept on a tiny couch. My sensory issues have gotten worse. My eyesight has also gotten worse. Apparently I'm also allergic to animals, so that explains why my breathing and allergies were super bad while living with my friends.

Another thing that tanked my mood were the gacha games. I got into Genshin, and lets just say the RNG hates me. I'd get increasingly frustrated and upset at having to pull till damn near hard pity, or losing 50/50s, seeing everyone have this amazing luck, that it was depressing. This one's no one's fault but my own, of course.

Now, though, I'm back in with my mom. She's a hell of a lot more understanding, I think, or at the very least we came to an understanding. She still struggles with my being trans, but we're working on it. My dad calls me Q, or Cubone (q-bone, get it?). I'm still struggling to find a job, and so I stream every night on Twitch, as well as having art commissions open. I also have a Ko-fi. As I stated, I'm on anti-depressants now, after so many years of being without, on the max dosage of Lexipro. We're in an AirBNB right now, as my dad was transferred up here, and is going to get transferred again at the end of summer, so moving isn't done yet.

All in all, things are (hopefully) getting better. The Pasta Mafia is still here, it's just changed shape. My current community molded it a little bit, so it has lore now, blah blah. You can find the blog here at @slimesyndicate, and I plan on posting shenanigans when I finally get the chance. Other than that, here is all the places you'll be able to find me! :) I do plan on coming back to Tumblr, slowly but surely. I miss it here. It's mostly still just going to be binges here and there for the time being.

For those who are still from the glory days of the Pasta Mafia, please know that I've remembered you and keep you in my heart to this day.

i know youre on hiatus and i hope youre doing well away from tumblr, but, when you come back, let us know your thoughts on genshin’s 3.3 update please! i’m excited to hear what you think about scaramouche’s story ❤️

literally just finished the interlude quest, lets talk about it!! (going to contain spoilers for kazuha's story quest, the inazuma archon quests, the sumeru archon quests, and also the sumeru interlude quest obviously) this is going to be quite long (he is one of my favourite characters and is steadily powercreeping my lore favourite albedo to be no.1) so maybe don't click unless you like absolutely want to fhgjkl

okay to start off with i'm gonna talk about what i expected was going to happen with this interlude slash what is essentially our favourite ex fatui puppet's character quest.

due to the memes and shit about it i initially was kind of wondering if this would be some sort of community service redemption sort of quest for him, something along the veins of him doing things nahida just tells him to or stuff the traveller wants. i figured maybe we'd see a fight scene between traveller and scara, maybe he tries to backstab us or flee or even go see ei. these are all initial fleeting assumptions i developed right after finishing the sumeru archon quests. to be honest kazuha isn't a favourite of mine so the thought of the tatarasuna smithing plot even making it back into the main storyline genuinely didn't cross my mind. like i cared about it because scara was in it but i didn't expect it to be relevant again

after the trailer for the 3.3 update i had a change of opinion again, this time more rooted in worry. genshin has a problem with its antagonists (namely: the raiden shogun/ei) where we get a character presented as directly opposing the traveller, directly causing issues at the cost of characters' lives and freedoms, only to get woobified in service of making them a suitable travelling companion to our main character. i understand they have to try for some semblance of realism as to why our playables are lending aid to us, but i kind of think they lost that a long time ago without even really noticing it. why is the acting grandmaster of the knights of favonius (for example) accompanying us into the desert of sumeru when she ostensibly has a very busy 24/7 job basically running an entire city. how is childe with us when they've sent him from liyue to snezhnaya to inazuma and now to who knows where. they’ve tried very hard to make this “make sense” when it literally never has. and i was extremely wary we’d get a passive puppet mindwiped version of scara. WHICH ALSO MADE NO SENSE, because he very visibly retains at least a good portion of the personality we know and love/hate. look at this fucking face

this is not the face of someone who has a redemption arc. my worry was that somehow they’d get him to apologise for his actions, and have the traveller forgive him wholeheartedly. i was worried they'd wipe his mind, somehow retain his personality, and just hand him over like here you go here's playable scaramouche. he's still a massive bitch but he's #good now. i HATE that. i’ve never wanted him redeemed. i want the weight of his sins and his guilt and his abandonment and his rage and ugliness because to me it makes him one of the most realistic characters genshin's ever managed to write. i don't really know or care how many people share this view, but i would've been happy if they handed him to us straight from laughing in our faces about teppei's death. his scheming killed signora. i wanted that straight from the tap.

so, the quest itself. it got me good i'll admit. when he basically had a crack at erasing himself from existence my jaw genuinely dropped because for me that was... both exactly what i would've done in his position with his power and also a place i'd never expected genshin to actually go. we talk about someone killing themselves in cyno's story quest (murtada radkani and then his father, taj radkani) but he actually tried it- i feel like someone might try to debate me on this but that's the only way i can see it interpreted. we know he's tried and hoped to end himself before but it was kind of??? gratifyingly shocking to see him do it again. and in service of the humans he's continually spoken about with loathing before. it just made him very... real i guess. there's no endless well of hope he just pulls from out of nowhere, it's in service to people he loved and lost centuries ago. he does it without a shred of concern as to what it would cause in the modern day to the real life descendants of the people he'd both loved and killed. IT WAS SO IN CHARACTER. i wasn't celebrating it but from a narrative perspective that was literally perfect. he's gone and im so happy gi has made a good story choice im like sick about it

then the "erased" scaramouche reappears and i let out a sigh of relief that i wasn't even aware i was holding. like i knew he wasn't DEAD because, well, i'm running around sumeru city with him literally equipped in my party and also he hasn't gotten his vision yet so he can't just die. tbh i totally forgot about the "you can't fully erase yourself from existence" thing from rukkhadevata until the traveller brought it up. immediately following my joy that my boy is not Dead dead i go.. oh shit. is this the erasure part??? is his terrible awful beautiful personality just gone and we're left with this fruit picking stall boy? was genuinely concerned about it but i reserved judgement until we entered the dream

guys....... i was so happy. we finally fleshed out lore that i'd been picking at in my brain and it was so fucking good. the pacing was good the dialogue made for a good translation we even got a return to the place where he nearly killed us. he got a fresh start but he didn't. he remembers we remember he's not trying to destroy everything around him but he's not like loving and happy and perfect. essence retained!! i don't really enjoy seeing nahida just. in general she kind of gives me the ick what with her design and all so im glad she stayed as a Voice for most of the quest. i could concentrate on what mattered. i'm nothing if not biased so while this is not my favourite story/archon/interlude quest (that title belongs to xiao's chasm interlude quest) this might be in the top five. top three mayyybe

i do have my gripes with the quest. i really wanted to see him have a genuine modern day confrontation with ei, but now with the erasure/history retcon she doesn't even remember creating him (her and yae's voicelines about him are removed, as are childe's), which is a massive shame yet also strangely fitting. like not to unpack this but sometimes the best thing you can get from a mother who thinks she's done nothing wrong is a clean break. still, i would've loved a confrontation of some sort, and i'm hoping for either that or a fight with dottore as his actual story quest. i also wish we got a unique model for the "puppet" scara that katsuragi found in the shakkei pavilion but we already have two different models for him so i think i'm just nitpicking there.

as for what i ended up (re)naming him, i chose itsuki, specifically 五希. this specific variation of the name means (five) (hope) and is mostly used as a last name, which might make me change it if i find something suitable (i was doing this pretty fast so i had to hurry up with the name, didn't get a ton of time to think it through). i named him this because i won him 50/50, on pity 50, and also this would be his fifth "official" name (the first four being kabukimono, kunikuzushi, scaramouche and then shouki no kami). five is also a pretty important number in asian culture, with it being associated with both good and bad luck (fitting for a character made in such shades of gray as scaramouche), and if i'm getting the information correctly, five is also representative of the ideal of freedom, a pretty solid match for someone newly bestowed an anemo vision. the raiden gokaden were five houses of smithing, of which scaramouche destroyed all but two. additionally, itsuki as a first name is often translated to "tree", and as someone who was "reborn" from irminsul it felt suuuper appropriate. i'm gonna touch base with my little sister (she's half japanese and super fluent) to make sure i'm not just shooting into the dark though, so i'll update if i end up changing it again

EDIT: touched base with her she said and i quote “it’s a bit weird and unique but it’s fine” so im keeping it. happy nameday my beautiful boy itsuki

tldr, i'm pretty happy with the quest, im glad my boy kept his bitch personality, and i renamed him itsuki (name change pending maybe)

Travel Blog ... Nicon 2023!

This was very not planned. I visited the Nicon in Hanover for a few hours on the 7th October (Con Saturday).

My reason was mainly to cheer for the dear Lotus.Diva (Insta, I know you have tumblr but I am not sure which handle?) who attended the Cosplay Contest.

I went as Nea and I learned I really need to restyle that wig. Nea is an easy character and I wanted to get rid of the negative Connichi vibes the cosplay had for me.

This is actually the second time for me to go to the NiCon. The first time was ... I think in 2008? I was there as journalist back then. Yes, you read that right.

I worked for an online magazine back in the day and got access to some conventions for writing reports, the NiCon was one of them. I just briefly remember the details from back then, as my coworker and I didn't stay that long. It's wild to remember that time, there have been so many things I did for the community in my country and all. I quit that job (it was just volunteered work) as I started my apprenticeship as teacher and I lacked the time to continue.

Quick travel to Hanover, I arrived a bit before the contest started, actually found the people I was looking for rather fast and sat down in the contest room to secure a seat.

The former performance was a musician who does gaming related songs? I.. think he was okay, it's just truly not my genre of music.

Guess here I am a bit pissed as we were ALL send out of the room before the contest started for whatever reason and it was hard to aquire a seat (thats why the majority even watched the musician in before... sigh). And you couldn't watch the contest when you didn't have a seat.

I have zero knowledge of Genshin Impact but I had to laugh, it was very fun. Congrats on scoring 2nd place!

The overall contest was interesting to watch, the amount of courage to step on a stage to perform. Kudos for that.

I wasn't able to watch the full contest as somehow my brain started games on me and I noticed I needed to get out, I just hope I didn't miss too much.

I explored the area and con a bit. The park is really nice, I didn't remember it at all to be honest. It's a great location for a convention this size.

The artist alley and vendor room were on the smaller size and some were indeed also at the Connichi and Wolfscon, therefore not much for me to find and buy. I wasn't planning to stay too long as my dog isn't used to hold up too long and my parents weren't home to help out. Whoops.

I have to thank you for the time we walked around, I truly missed the times of just socializing through linking the same series and just sharing hobbies like cosplay. There was even a Lenalee Cosplayer, you gather them all, haha.

I love how supportive you are and even when I just stood there most of the time I can tell this day was great and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm looking forward to meet you and your partner again next weekend.

I am not sure if I would attend the Nicon again though as the program isn't my taste but it was fun to revisit it after all those years!

I've been following you guys for a while, and I've been a semi active member of the fandom too. I've been playing since 1.1. I suppose I'm just here to confess how I feel about quitting Genshin. I had to delete the app a while before 4.0 because my phone could barely handle it any more. I knew I'd have to quit. I didn't expect to be as disappointed as I am now. Everyone on my dash is so excited for Fontaine. The new characters look really cool. Genshin has always been a source of community for me, a little bit, and looking at fan art and theories has been a great way to spend my spare time. I feel so sad seeing all of it knowing I can't be a part of it any more. Maybe someday, in a year or two when I get a new phone, I'll return. For now I'll just keep moving I guess, and look for people to follow on Tumblr, and decide whether I want to unfollow some Genshin people I've followed for a long time or not.

(I tried playing HSR, only to find that my phone handled it even worse than Genshin, I had to reopen it five times to get through a grand total of one cutscene and one battle. I've started playing another game instead.)

we're really sorry that this is happening to you :((

i totally understand how you feel because my computer is also really bad at handling genshin. it lags so badly whenever i go into any region post-liyue, especially the sumeru desert, and it just makes me feel so frustrated. i can't imagine the pain of playing it on mobile and having the app crash or freeze every few seconds.

we hope you'll be able to return to genshin one day, anon, especially since it seems like you truly enjoyed interacting with the fandom <333 in the meantime, we hope you'll focus on yourself and be happy!

Trans Lifeline is a peer-based support and resource center that helps trans people with emotional and financial support. The Transgender Law Center provides legal aid, resources, and advocacy. You can check out your local mutual aid network. Or your local abortion right advocacy organization or your local racial justice organization or your local domestic violence support center or your local LGBTQ community center or your local homeless shelter or just, y'know, like help a person in need in your neighborhood. I mentioned last week that Jeffrey Veregge's family and Tess Fowler & Chris Gutierrez both have ongoing GoFundMes for their current medical emergencies. Just try to do something.

Things I've been enjoying this week: The first person to buy something from my shop! Thank you! Honestly, just like, some time off. hello hazel :)👋🏻 just wanna say thank you so much for making me feel safe, welcomed and cared for while being at your account . i believe it wasn't just me, but hundreds of other people also feel the same the way. you're one of the most well known genshin account in tumblr therefore you have countless of supporters trying to interact with you. whether they're complimenting your works, talking about their day or how happy they were when they finally got their wanted character home, you always, ALWAYS took time to respond to each of the asks. you even did so kindly and wholeheartedly, when in real life you also have your own works to do – which makes me feel kind of emotional when i think of it. you read those asks one by one, you didn't answered them dryly and reply to our idle chats with persona that even some friends in real life could never do.

i dont really send this kind of messages to people who are well known in social media, because i doubt they would even care but with you it's different. if you doesn't reply to my message, it won't change my perspective about you at all :D you've shown a lot that you care about us and our random ramblings. you're truly an amazing person hazel, and i strive to be like you – someone who still take time to take care of others even when you yourself has another things to do. people who have you as their friends and family in life must be lucky to have you as a part of their life :))) im terribly sorry for giving you such a long and unimportant text, wherever you are, i hope you're well and life treats you kindly like how you treat us lovingly. stay healthy and have a nice day hazel! 💚💚

I never once imagined that I would have so many people talking to me, I’ve never been popular or had more than a few friends (which I’m okay with because those people are quality <3), and so to suddenly be in front of sall these people who ... think so highly of me?, want to talk to me? I am a reserved person but I am incredibly touched and happy to know you are all here and on days when I wonder if I’m doing the right thing there are people out there that see me -- so thank you (thank you for this message, thank you for saying hello)

i have been able to cultivate a wonderful space because of you all too - this community couldn’t have been found without the love and support you gave mover the last year of my blog being here!

creators care, humans care and with messages like this you can fill us up a little bit as we head down the path toward those end goals -- because of you all I’ve gotten back into something I love and now I see some exciting prospects on the horizon

Discord tag is for us to contact you directly if we have a specific request as well as to give you the Content Creator role, UID is for us to send you rewards, HoYoLAB ID is for us to give you the Content Creator badge when you deserved it.

MARCH Content Creators are expected to maintain their quality to qualify for renewal by providing their best content or work so far.

Once all submissions have been reviewed, within a week of application's closure, the invited content creators will be assigned the Content Creator role. Members with this role have been acknowledged for their EXCEPTIONAL content.

Do NOT message Moderators about how the Content Creator Program is managed - Moderators are only responsible for... yeah, moderation.

Thank you so much for 1k :(

It really means a lot that people actually stuck around and liked my writing enough to click the follow button. Thank you to all the mutuals I've made since I started and even if we don't talk a lot it still means a lot that I have some friends in this community :( This is actually insane and I never thought that I would get to 1k, especially when it hasn't really been that long since I started my blog. It's been really fun writing and interacting and I'm really greatful for all it it!

i think i didn't send my last ask properly? or maybe tumblr ate it lol. it was five am and i was vv sleepy i apologize. congrats on keqing! i've heard that she's vv powerful and when i used her during that one event, i liked her playstyle a lot! one of the 5 stars im hoping to get from the standard banner. also inazuma comes out tomorrow! times moves so fast T - T i still remember genshin community asking for inazuma and not having an answer lol. kazuha's leaf animation is so cute but its too short for absolutely no reason at all smh, mihoyo do better/j

azhdaha isn't as hard if you have a good shield character/healer or maybe even a bow user! though it is quite challenging, it isn't impossible. you just need to dive head first and continuously attack while making sure ur hp isnt too low. about the story quests, take ur time! even a week later they would still be there so dw. i can kinda relate to my teapot lolol only one of the islands are filled to the brim and the others are left empty T - T too lazy.

im ar53 now, really shows how much genshin i've been playing considering i joined at xiao's banner huh. i made an alt acc a few days ago and im planning to main amber 😼. she isnt bad, i think at the time, new players don't really know what artifacts do and weapon whatnot. the most she hit is around 500? keep in mind 3 star artifs and 3 star weapons so yeah, shes good. is there any inazuma character ur looking forward too? i was planning on skipping ayaka but chongyun, ningguang and yanfei T - T might spend like 15 pulls before saving up for yoimiya/xiao so wish me luck! hopefully i wont lose the 50/50

and about the azhdaha, i'm planning on building diona for that but that would mean i would have to switch my favonius warbow between her and venti Q_Q i still don't have sacrificial bow for her or stringless for venti so we love that :D

and i relate sm i'm only on trust rank 3 and i never go to my serenitea pot (ig i'll have to start doing that once 2.0 comes out for the gardening system rip)

I'm being aggressive because someone asked you for in real life advice and as expected of genshin players you're giving terrible advice. You shouldn't drop friends of multiple years over them playing a game without you or forgetting your birthday. Other people have lives and if your friendship was affecting your mental health I'm sure it affected theirs too. In your posts you use a lot of "I" and "me" language (1)

which leads me to believe the problem wasn't one sided. At least OP admitted an awareness and they seemed to calm down. So maybe don't give blind advice and share biased views of your own to someone in a delicate place.

honestly anon you sound like a little 12 year old kid who's never seen the world or interacted with real people before; here's a tip for you, hun: 'i' and 'me' are Commonly Used Words in the english language and since karfield was using themselves as an example, naturally they would use the words 'i' and 'me' (or do you not understand how language works?)

no problem is one-sided but karfield never said it was, they were only expressing their own views on a very complex interpersonal relationship that no one on the internet has any fuckin rights to know about, MOST ESPECIALLY not you

this also extends to original anon, who very clearly said that the friend who did remember their birthday has personal issues and heavily implied that the issue with the other friend was MUCH much deeper than forgetting one birthday or not playing genshin with them once

in reference to that one famous tumblr post, 'it's never just about the tomatoes':

original anon ASKED for our opinions, and we're not going to ignore someone who wants to hear our side of the story because sometimes it does help very much to get a total outsider's opinion on the issue (while giving them information to fill in the situation) but you know what never helps?

having a random fucko come in and insult both the person wanting advice and the person giving it.

i rarely get angry in general and i especially dislike getting angry to ppl who ask things in our inbox particularly because i realize that a bunch of genshin players are very young and they may not know better but we do NOT stand for someone coming on our blog and insulting our anons and even ourselves. if you know that these are delicate situations, why would you make it worse? why would you shove yourself into this series of asks that were originally only between us and the anon? in chinese we have a phrase for ppl like you: 搅屎棍

(oh and just a last note? all advice is blind and biased because we're only human :) we can never see anything totally from someone else's perspective no matter how hard we try because life and personalities and coping mechanisms are built up from individual experiences, and everyone's individual experiences are different :)) so next time you try to lecture someone who was just trying to be nice, just keep this in mind)
