YIPPEE
So Osvald's themes are his main them, "in pursuit of revenge" and "journey for revenge's end". The end of his chapter 4 seemed to clearly say that he no longer wanted revenge and only wanted to save Elena, right? So it doesn't make sense to keep everything dark and revenged themed.
How I would change it:
Have a theme that plays during every flashback, and it has a violin and piano, amongst other things (those are just the most prominent). During every cutscene that only has Rita and no Elena, then it's only violin and every cutscene that only has Elena and no Rita, it's piano to establish those as being their respective signature instruments.
Also just make Osvald's theme less intense and more sad than angry.
So in chapter 4 when the grieving golem fight starts, it's Osvald's "in pursuit of revenge" theme, but has a prominent light violin and and it's instead called "in pursuit of love".
At the end of the chapter when Elena leaves with Harvey, a different theme starts playing. It's Osvald's theme but with a light piano and this one is called "Elena, the experiment".
Final chapter. The "in pursuit of" theme is the same as in chapter 4 but now also with a prominent light piano and it's called "in pursuit of family" cause now it has Rita and Elena's legit motifs!!!
The "journey for X's end" is Osvald's but again with Rita and Elena's leit motifs and it's called "Journey for separation's end".
Obviously I know this is a lot more work than what we actually have and it'd be unfair that Osvald has so many themes when other characters don't (because this game really wants the Mcs to be "equal" which is stupid and they shouldn't be) but it'd be so so cool to burst into violent tears while playing Osvald's 4th and 5th chapters.
makes sense! it’d be interesting in theory, pretty good no doubt.
also I dunno how “equal” these protagonists are…. staring directly at agnea
maybe that’s a little too much as far as themes go, but a good few of the characters (namely agnea, temenos, castti, anyone else I’m forgetting) have additional variants to their themes, so in theory it could work.
although I feel like “journey for revenge ends” as a title still works in a sense.. mostly because yeah, his journey for revenge has in fact ended, as in. that’s not what he’s seeking anymore. I dunno maybe that’s just me, I like osvald’s themes-

Dhmis thoughts:
I can't help but think that the show is like....some kind of eldritch being's attempt at making a human kids show. Colorful backgrounds, colorful and fun designed characters who are specifically *not* human, music being used as a medium for which to impart a lesson of some sort.
Things we all recognize and *know* are supposed to be in a kids show, things a being outside our own world/universe can come to *know* but perhaps not fully or truly understand and that's where the disconnect comes in.
To know something and to understand it are often two different things. The being knows this and perhaps is looking for understanding with each new "episode".
Like the episode when the Green One dies, each time I think about it, it sounds like it was written by someone/thing that doesn't quite get what death means in our world. It *knows* but it does not understand.
Imagine being the Three of them, whether they were made with this world or brought into it, there's a distinct *understanding* that something is not quite right. Maybe they had it since the beginning or it developed over time, but they *understand* to a degree.
How terrifying the idea to be stuck in the hands of something that knows but has yet to understand.

Hello there Ash! Just thought I'd say hi :) Did your move go well? I assume you're done traveling now!
Hiya Peg! It did end up going pretty well! We arrived Thursday afternoon and had a lot of help from our new ward to unload everything. The weekend's been spent unpacking and arranging things (and getting up entirely too early)
