I will be honest. Getting back into Thomas nearly 20 years later and having Big World Big Adventures be my first introduction back into the franchise almost made me write off getting back into Thomas entirely because I thought that I was just nostalgia-poisoned into thinking that it was good. BWBA was so mediocre to me that I thought the entire series must've been like this, and that I was just getting back into something on the basis of me thinking it was good because I was a child getting into my first special interest.

No actually, Thomas is still good. I was just looking in the wrong place at the worst time in the franchise's history.
