Which of the intelligent species do you think are most interesting?

For me personally, I gotta go with trolls. They age in reverse through 7 stages that, so far, all seem completely different from each other! That's like a combo deal how could anyone ever compete.

There is so much left to explore for them--how their society is structured and functions beyond the Empress, how their cities are built and from what, their language and culture, their natural diets, how and what its like to switch between stages--what it means for their world that children are so lethal and separated from parents (?), their position among the other species as a whole--they've mentioned conflict with goblins, what was that? Why? What's the world like when the elves aren't looking?

They've also got an empress who is experimenting on their own!! What does that mean for them? Does she have that kind of authority, or will the people have something to say. Can they say anything? Tarina was horrified, I assume others were, too, but what pushed the empress to that?

Gnomes like nature. Dwarves like the dirt. Ogres and goblins are more humanoid and like to fight. solid. but the trolls here? i've never encountered a species like them before and I want to know more
